I believe in his first appearance right after saying his name was Colon he backtracks and says it’s Chris and Ghost just brushes him off. (Which is the Watsonian explanation, but it’s more like Colon stuck because Jordan thought it was funny)

BUT that makes his full name Chris Ghostie from day one ☺️

I don't mean this in a rude way just confused but why do some people call him Collin when you could just call him by his canon name, Chris? It’s better imo and that way you don't have to call him Colon if you don't want to

Basically I don't mind its all up to what you prefer just wondering if some people forgot the name Chris

#Chris is likely short for Christopher but I’m sure we can get creative with it #but yeah I do agree with OP I tried very very hard in the past to emphasize that his name was Chris #and when Collin started catching on I was admittedly surprised. and kind of confused #and it felt like overwriting the character #not for when people were making their own canons and taking the stories out of their original context ofc #but when they’re trying to stay as close to canon as possible for every other character and rewatching videos for ideas #because like the other three members of the team #Chris wasn’t going by his real first name #I guess it likely wasn’t from a place of ignorance since I’m sure Chris as a name *is* listed on the wiki #but #I’d have been equally confused if people pitched that we start calling Spooker Spencer or something #tho that likely wouldn’t happen bc of Spencer acachalla lol #also hi yeah it’s me I’m not Back back but I’m present 👍#also Chris Was around for awhile and he Was used pretty frequently I think the videos were just less popular when he started showing up #but compared to characters like Aimee and the unicorns and Gavin?????#he first showed up in late 2016 and was present ever since #and he has less fandom content than a lot of popular one off characters #which isn’t The Worst I love one off characters too #but sucks because I like Chris too Yknow?#when I found out he had a degree in forensics I got so fucking excited ngl Django’s #(ignore the Django’s I tried to do a key smash and tumble mobile hates me)#I was actively considering going into forensics for a degree at the time
