-given away to cover a debt
-stolen to prompt debt payment/get one over on rival
-crime boss's adorable wife (who can't testify against him or prove she was an unwilliingish bride)
- the oops kid that he planned and she didn't.
- needs an heir so find the 'perfect' woman to give said heir.
- stole her weeks/months/years ago, now they’re in the media but she’s madly in love with them and ran away to be with them.
