he made note of what the other said, figuring these artifacts must be of some importance. belongings seemed odd considering what he knew about kai. neither of them carried much on their travels. still, he wasn’t going to concern himself over anything he didn’t need to. at least for the time being, elijah was going to try and enjoy this quaint little town. maybe they’d actually see some other supernatural creatures for once. either way, it would be something for the two siphoners to keep themselves busy with. “i’d prefer you get blood bags, yes. so we can make a stop there too.” he knew the other needed to sustain himself. luckily, kai hadn’t yet resorted to using elijah for that purpose.

elijah scoffed at the other’s comment. “you aren’t going to let baywatch go, are you? i mentioned it one time, kai.” it wasn’t like elijah had hated seeing the group of lifeguards. it was one of the things he actually liked to remember from his childhood. he forgot how it had even come up between the two of them. it wasn’t like kai had ever forfeited a guilty pleasure of his own. well, at least not a pleasure he was guilty about. elijah stood up from his chair, taking a moment to push it in before turning toward his companion. “ready my liege?”

She supposed Meda would have probably liked him quite a bit. At the same time, he was also incredibly annoying and invasive. Bella almost certainly would have stabbed him already.

ever since elijah had met the other siphon, things had started to get far more interesting for him. besides him now knowing there were others out there like him, he also knew that siphons were able to become vampires. the idea was terrifying to elijah, given all of the horrible things he’d been told about the supernatural beings. then again, many of those same things were said about him while he was still living with his family and coven. kai was another enigma that he’d yet to get his head wrapped around. as open to elijah as the other was, there was much that kai kept from him. one of these things being kai’s reasoning for returning to mystic falls. hell, why were they in a place called the ‘mystic grill’? 

elijah had an absurd amount of questions, although trusted kai nonetheless. because even with the secrets that kai kept form him, elijah knew that there was at least a part of kai that wanted to keep elijah around. although in reality, elijah was pretty sure kai acted as more of a devil on his shoulder. his view of life was... altered by his past. and while the same was true for elijah, he didn’t allow it to affect his view of every creature that walked the earth. kai, on the other hand, seemed to have taken his family’s abuse a lot farther than elijah had. but even as he noted this, elijah didn’t judge the other for it. they were both products of hateful families that challenged who they were. he couldn’t blame kai for his outlook on life. his only hope, was that his choice in joining kai on his adventure would prove to be worth it. although with the alcohol they’d tried so far, he wasn’t hopeful. “so, what exactly are we hanging around here for? not that i don’t enjoy drinks with you, kai.”
