(audio starts 10s in) i've been casually collecting some cd singles mostly for the artwork and the novelty of it all tbh, but i got this and never knew there was a "guitars down" version of sugar :0 upon listening it seems the biggest differences with this vs the album version are:

the instrumentals/sustained controlled feedback that usually plays behind the prechoruses is also used between the chorus and the 2nd verse, over the normal chuggy riff

the backing vocal harmonies in the chorus seem to be significantly brought forward which sounds STUNNING, easily the highlight of this version

Something that weirdly pisses me off but like

Andrew Minyard shouldn't be an undercover book nerd or something. This fandom is so obsessed with forcing Andrew into a specific vision of him that they WANT to see that they miss out on a lot of potential regarding the content that's actually given to us.

Andrew Minyard has an eidetic memory and has most likely watched way too many movies or TV over the course of his life.

Anyone who claims that he's too poetic/fanciful with words to not be into literature is simply ignoring the fact that there are stunning movie/film scripts out there that are worthy of being held on an equal pedestal as literature. And I'm saying this AS AN ENGLISH MAJOR. I literally majored in reading books. But shoving bookish Andrew into fanon is something I simply will never stand behind.

I have an entire slew of headcanons about why Andrew actually does hate the act of reading if anyone ever wants to hear them too

could-be-nothing realization of the day that i came to while listening to 99% Invisible: kane and feels is sound designed like a documentary

#i dont have any solid support for this because i dont really know anything about sound design but it's something about how different sounds #are used to separate/lead into different scenes #the train in vs the town council comes to mind as does brutus's london time bubble (?) experience in daytrippers #also the music style sometimes. another thing idk how to talk about but it's there #it's just really different from most other fiction podcasts like for example fothos (my beloved) also has full sound design and even uses #transition music at least sometimes but it isnt part of the scene in the same way #silt verses comes closer to that documentary vibe of knf sometimes but there it's much more dramatic -- usually deliberately building #to something while in knf it tends to be more atmospheric it just Becomes the scene and you dont think about it as much but it #contributes so much to the overall show #now i feel like im on the edge of getting a much better grip on what im talking about but idk. gonna sleep on it #talk amongst yourselves i wanna hear other peoples thoughts on this if you have them 👀#kane and feels #original #kf

just randomly got reminded of the fact that gerard way just randomly decided to be silly one day and create his own character designs for his own batman universe that DC was interested in + TBH, since all of the characters in it are very gothic, i just think that barton would wear eyeliner and have his mask resemble a porcelain doll's as well as have big 80's-esque hair in this hypothetical universe

@asurastro asked- I think a Fanon Lambda just gets traits added on every other week/month or something. Not even in a multiverse way just the same mainverse Lambda getting heaped with details that aren't accurate. Fandom infighting results because they're confident Lambda would cheat on a partner vs grant pardons to everyone who's ever committed wrongdoing against Motor City. Tell me what the “fanon” interpretation of my OC if they were a canon character would be (accepting!)

//Oh too true. People adding traits to a character and then treating those traits as if they are canon and getting into fights because someone else points out that that's not something a character does/would do happens a lot in fandoms. So for Lambda to get hit with the random roulette so frequently... I can only imagine massive, insult laden fights and people shouting down other people rightfully pointing out that he wouldn't do (insert trait/thing that is way way out of his wheelhouse).

A lot of it would probably also stem from the fandom outright ignoring how he would hate, to use your example here, cheating. Or, tied in with that, ignoring something pre-established for something that likely won't make complete sense with him. Which yes, it's having fun and what not but there comes a point where it would better off being made an AU or a different verse instead of tacking it onto a main verse and getting pissed at people when they don't go along with it.

Tl;dr it would be a mess lmao.

i love how passionate and emotional fic seongjoong is when irl they're like... an arranged marriage... lol
