ELDERWOOD
neeko’s kind is older and far more ancient than others to a point where some forgot they ever existed and others will speak of them as legends or simply as stories for children. roaming through the woods at night, they’re the unseen, ever-changing ones that make the night flowers bloom and glow, channeling the energy of the spirit world back towards the soil and being, in a way, responsible for the restoration of wild magic. sent away one to a place in need of care, neeko doesn’t even know if her family lives, but she carries out the duty given to her still.

THE FEY AND THE WITCH @moonaspect
Dark cold nights were what fueled Neeko - stepping over the branches, she placed her hand over the trunk, running her thumb over it before climbing towards a higher one to reach the flowers. It was always a delight, to reach her hands out to them and watch as the petals unfurled and small light particles drift towards them, returning the wild magic to the slowly awakening nature surrounding her.
Today, it was different. Her task had changed slightly over information regarding the rising darkness - the Eternal Nightmare was slowly but surely crawling his way back through the seals placed on the soil of the Elderwoods with help from the rising Coven. There was little she could remember of the witches, as she had been sent away to care for too far away places in need - in her return, there was little left of her people behind other than ash and, time after time, locating them seemed impossible.
The witches were her best option, as far as she knew. Her kind would come to stop them once again, she was certain of that. And if they didn’t... Well, Neeko was there. And she would have to be enough.
Resting her back against the trunk, her skin changed, shifting in hue to a darker blue only so she could go unseen, shrouded by the veil of night as she observed one of the witches.

LIGHT AND DARKNESS for @luxcnna
Ionia was well-known to her at this point - having left her homeland in order to tend to this land instead, the Elderwood creature seemed not to make much distinction. Instead, she just helped. For a while now, she had been tasked to return the wild magic from the spirit world to the soil, yet the people of the land seemed not to be as peaceful as she had thought.
Rumours of a monster, ever-changing in form that would hunt them down and prey on their fear had been spreading, a creature shrouded in darkness, with blue skin and glowing yellow eyes that would drag you to the depths of the earth and feed you to the Eternal Nightmare. Neeko was many things, but she was not that.
It was tiring to be on the run. She couldn’t quite remember the last time such thing had happened, but then again, ancient times those were. Now there were many things that she couldn’t understand about... Everything, except that there was something lurking in the shadows, attempting to harm the Elderwoods, rising from the soil despite all the magic attempting to contain it. Now, Neeko was too tired to think of it, leaning against one of the most distant little houses she could find - enough not to be seen by many, she hoped, but also enough not to feel entirely alone.
