I am BREAKING the norm of my profile being specifically Kyman related and I am making this post to tell y'all that I have a K2 AU circling around in my head based on the anime Lost Song.
If you don't know what Lost Song is, essentially on the base surface it's about two people having magical abilities with the power of songs at their disposal. One being a child called Rin, the other a songstress called Finis. Rin wants to make an orchestra to perform at the kingfom capital and Finis is being used as a tool of war and later on becomes immortal from one of her songs attempting to end the world. I won't spoil the rest in case you want to see it for yourself but it is pretty dark in parts.
Anyway watching the anime I ended up getting an idea of a K2 AU with this concept LOOSELY. I'm not gonna copy the whole thing but having Kyle and Kenny be the two people with the rare song ability seemed interesting to me.
So here are the bullet points for the AU setting woo
- Fantasy setting. Similar to SOT with two differing nations but apart from that it's all new.
- Kenny and Kyle both have the rare power of songs ability, the more Kenny sings the more it adds on to his immortality and he becomes scared of leaving the castle grounds in fear of being treated like a freak for not being able to die.
- Kyle's more sheltered with it, his parents not letting him sing because they know the truth about his power. At this point he doesn't know about Kenny's existence.
- Kyle goes around the continent with Ike to find other people to perform with him at the castle at the upcoming moon festival after having an argument with his parents.
- They end up running into Stan, Eric and Butters on the trip who become a part of their troupe.
- They overhear about Kenny's existence and Kyle is convinced that he needs to find him as they both have the ability.
- Kyle ends up getting dreams after finding out about Kenny and they start talking to each other through the dreamscape whatever you want to call it.
- In the dreams Kenny eventually always keeps telling Kyle "help me". Kenny is sick of being immortal so he plans to sing a forbidden song at the moon festival to remove his ability and bring down the moon to wipe the earth completely.
- Kyle ends up at the castle a few hours before the festival preformance and sees Kenny's also there, getting prepared for his plan. They see each other and instantly find a connection between each other.
- Kyle tries to talk Kenny out of the plan, and eventually succeeds with a bit of difficulty at first.
- The two of them sing at the festival together, and the joined voices end up lifting the immortality curse on Kenny and the two end up using their abilities for good. Eventually they end up growing a stronger bond and end up together.
IT'S STILL A BIT ROUGH IN PLACES BUT I'M JUST TRYING TO FIGURE THINGS OUT AS I GO ALONG HONESTLY.

honestly i'm still thinking about Lost Song and not because it was super good or anything. Honestly the more I think about it, the more mediocre it was. But there's One particular scene where the twist happens and that scene is just....so fucking good. It's actually incredible. It's such a shame that it's bookended by such mediocrity because the moment is so well crafted, so intense, and the way it makes everything make sense is so haunting. i'm gonna talk spoilers for a moment so in case you care about Lost Song at all and don't want the spoilers, don't read it i guess?
so the basic gist of Lost Song is that there are two stories going on in two different parts of the world. In one part of the world, the protagonist Rin lives in an isolated village with her family. She has the magical power to heal people with her song, but has been forbidden to use it. Meanwhile, in the capital, a woman called Finis is a songstress with similar powers; she can heal with her song and also control the elements like water, wind, fire. She falls in love with a gentle-hearted knight, but the prince who wants to marry her and use her powers as a weapon of war becomes horribly jealous and possessive.
So long story short: Rin's village is burned to the ground when a soldier finds out about her powers and wants to kidnap her. Rin and her remaining family have to go on a journey for safety, and soon learn about a woman called Finis being used as a weapon of war against her will, and Rin becomes determined to save her. They hurry off to a camp where Finis is supposed to be held, and start searching for her in the misty morning.
Meanwhile, Finis has coerced into using her powers, which are slowly chipping away at her life, to destroy enemy soldiers, or else her beloved will be executed. The morning she and her beloved plan to escape, the prince confronts her and brings her to a place outside of the camp. He pretends to apologize to her, and tells her that a prisoner of war escaped and killed a bunch of their men. The prisoner was killed, but now the prince wants Finis to use the last song she has in her to cremate the fallen soldiers and the dead prisoner as an end to the war.
Finis obliges and uses the song of fire to set the corpses alight. Except, one of the corpses isn't a corpse. It's her beloved, knocked out and dressed up as an enemy soldier, and he awakens to being burned alive.
At this point in the show, I'm going insane. because like. They're not seriously going to just let this happen, right? Rin and friends are going to show up and help just in the nick of time or something.
But nope. He fucking dies. He burns to death right in front of her, by her own power.
The prince is like "well thanks for getting rid of the last of my detractors! you can go kill yourself or something now since you can't sing anymore."
and then this is when The Scene happens. Finis drags herself upright on her beloved's sword and starts to croak out a song, despite having no power left. And this darkness starts to rise around her. This overwhelming hatred flows out of this woman who up til now was sweet, a little bit silly, and naive and innocent. But all that's in her eyes now is this burning, aching hatred and despair. And a song pours out of her.
And meteors rain down from the sky.
A massive meteor strike of hundreds of stones rains down over the country, killing the prince and most of his army, and seemingly killing Finis as well as she clutches onto her beloved's sword.
Meanwhile, Rin and friends are still looking for Finis. And at this point, I'm like, surely they're noticing this already, right?? They're noticing that meteors are raining down?? At some point while running around, Rin's skirt gets caught on a stone sword that looks very familiar, but she unsticks it and keeps running.
And the mist clears just a bit, and they're able to look down, and a woman in a black cloak is there. It's Finis.
In the next episode, we learn that Finis believed singing that song, the Song of Mortality, would destroy the world in exchange for her life. She thought that meant she would die. Instead, it meant that her "life" was taken from her. Her ability to live like a normal person - she's become immortal. Not only that, but she keeps living right up until the end of the world - and then waking up again at the beginning of it.
She watches the world repeat over, and over, and over, with just the vaguest of changes here and there. She hopes that means she'll be able to meet her beloved again - but every time she meets him, he's a different person than the one she fell in love with.
So she gives up. She becomes hellbent on destroying the world for real this time, so she doesn't have to keep living in this cyclical hell.
So when Rin and her friends finally arrive and see Finis, it's not to save her from the prince like the audience was led to believe. They couldn't come in time to save Finis or her beloved. Because the tragedy already happened.
I think that was the real genius of that moment. While the rest of the surrounding story wasn't incredible, the way the two different stories slotted together to make you believe they were happening at the same time, but then you look back and realize they weren't, that you were seeing past and present interspersed, that there was no hope of Rin ever making it to stop this tragedy because it had already happened, it was inevitable, it was in the past - that was haunting. Something you thought was happening right now was in fact already over. And you can't change the past.
I still can't get that moment where Finis begins to croak out that last song, her voice weak at first, and then thundering with hatred and rage as she brings on the apocalypse. It was so eerie and painful and just - even though the rest of the story didn't hit, that part still managed to.
not to make everything about arc v but. it'd make a damn good zarcray au.

Lost Song (2018) Genre: Fantasy, Drama Season/s: 1 Episodes: 12 Plot: Rin is an energetic girl who loves to eat and lives in a verdant frontier village. Deep within the royal palace in the bustling capital city, the songstress Finis spends her days in solitude. Both share a special power no other person has. A miraculous power that can heal wounds, create water and stir the wind -- the power of song. Guided by destiny, the two young women each face an arduous journey with the power of song. The shadow of war looms over the kingdom, tainting even the miraculous songs with the blood of innocents. Loved ones meet their deaths as silent screams echo through a stone prison. Date Watched:July 12-13, 2020 My Review: 4 This isn't what I expected. At first glance, you'll think it's a Disney fairy tale themed anime, with singing, a handsome gallant and shining knight, a damsel in destress and an evil prince. You'll be surprised at the major plot twist (sometime episode 7 if I am not mistaken) and the crazy plot. I guess that's what you can expect from anime. My expectations were blown away. I was so emotional watching this show. I am not too happy with some parts and if feels heart wrenching to watch.. ugh! I don't wanna spoil it for you but why? why? I feel like crying right now... I've always been a hopeless romantic at heart.. If you have watched this anime and want to talk about it with me, please give me a message to avoid spoilers. The artwork is okay, since they don't have erm what is it called again? Like consistency when it comes to character faces. But that's alright. As for the music, it is so great! The opening so.ng is really good and I can listen to it repeatedly. Would I recommend it? Yes! You'd be surprised. It's certainly don't judge a book by it's cover. I might post a more in depth review and reaction to this anime on my blog or vlog. I really wanna talk about this more. I feel so frustrated! That's why it's 4 moons only. Cosplay plans: Finis, Henry, Rin

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀: 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒.|| Still accepting
@bluestmoons asked: ❛ what I want is not there. ❜ [ from Finis to Lucille! ]
It had been a first for Lucille to find a strange believer that seemed so similar to her. Perhaps this was what people had considered ‘kindred spirits,’ but she couldn’t be too sure. Rather she relished the company of the songstress, her tattered white gown pushed into her lap and uncovering her knees as she sat beside the other on the outskirts of the forest. Trees always made Lucille feel more at ease and Finis hadn’t seemed to mind it.
After all, people could see her, not the silent spirit at her side.
Lips pressed together, an offering that Finis go to the Guardians, those that harbored believers, had power beyond what Lucille could ever offer. To go to the North Pole and speak to them, people who could speak rather than simply write notes. But Finis had shaken her head and Lucille couldn’t help but stare at her fellow alabaster woman.
Then, the smile came as she waved her hand, the note that hung in the air blanking of its message and replacing with new, fresh deep black ink across its surface. ‘Then let’s find a place that does have what you want. I’ll take you there, me and Wind, together. Sound good?’

CODE REALIZE: WINTERTIDE MIRACLES
Release Date: February 14, 2019 (North America) Developers: Idea Factory, Otomate Publishers: Aksys Games Platforms: PS Vita, PS4
I literally took my time playing this FD, knowing it’s the last (physical) otome game that will ever grace localization in the PS Vita.
Code Realize: Wintertide Miracles (Shirogane no Kiseki) is the second fandisc of the series, Code Realize. This game contains varieties of alternate and after stories that happened after the events of the last fandisc, Future Blessings.
This fandisc contains the following stories:
Cantarella (Side Story) – Walkthrough available here.
Finis’s Epilogue
Sholme’s Epilogue
Love Triangle Stories (Short Stories)
Wintertide Miracles “First Christmas” (Alternate Stories)
Special Epilogues (Epilogues for White Rose’s stories in Future Blessings)
ART AND MUSIC I know this is probably redundant as I’ve gushed about it a few times in my reviews for Guardian of Rebirth and Future Blessings. But, the artist Miko has done it again! I could not for the life of me, describe how incredibly beautiful the CGs are for this fandisc. There were also new sprites available for all the main and side characters, wearing their cozy winter outfits. Even Queen Victoria gets a new sprite wearing her expensive royal fur faux garb!
What I also loved about this fandisc were the new BGMs added for the series, they were all unforgettable and were specially made for the game’s Yuletide theme. One song that really stood out to me was the second Ending theme (Finis’ and Sholmes’ ED) “Beside You” by the artist SHOJI. Listen to the full track below:
***I purchased the whole soundtrack for Code Realize: Wintertide Miracles in iTunes. Link here.
NEW CHARACTERS
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Cantarella (CV: Mamiko Noto) – Fuuka (Persona 4), Kotomi Ichinose (Clannad), Inia Sestina (MuV Luv), Felicita (Arcana Famiglia), Marvis Vermilion (Fairy Tale)
Miles Strand (CV: Keiji Fujiwara) – Kagura Mutsuki (Blazblue), Jiro Hyuuga (Binary Star), Reno (Final Fantasy), Kiriya (Senran Kagura), Sakuya Tougane (Psycho Pass)
Baron of Aiguille (CV: Sugiyama Noriaki) – Akito (Norn9), Thor (Kamigami no Asobi), Suou Hana (Ayakashi Gohan), Katsuragi Naomasa (Yunohana Spring), Kashika Galle (Cendrillon Palika)
SIDE STORIES AND AFTER STORIES I did Cantarella’s route first, followed by Finis and Sholme’s epilogues, then knocked out the love triangle dates before I played the main course, that is the “First Christmas” alternate stories for Wintertide Miracles. I myself, enjoyed this play order, though I would suggest playing whatever story you feel like playing first because that’s the whole point of a fandisc! lol
CANTARELLA (Another Story) This story happened somewhere in the middle of Guardian of Rebirth’s common route. On their way home, after watching a performance at the Royal Opera House, Cardia and the rest of Lupin’s gang witnessed an attempted kidnapping of the Opera House’s beloved songstress, Cantarella. They’ve managed to save her as well as send her perpetrator running for the hills. They then took Cantarella to her home for safety measures, which lead the gang to meet her so-called “father” Miles. In this story, Cardia finds a friend in Cantarella and later on, discovers her true identity as both their existence managed to connect each other’s fates.
Just like “Lupin’s Gang’s” (side) story in Future Blessings, Cantarella’s route offers new likable characters and an interesting new plot for us to follow. Although I’ve very much enjoyed this story (for what it is), I didn’t like how the writers threw in these important characters on the third game, since canonically they don’t matter anymore as the main plot officially ended in Future Blessings. I would rather have this as an alternate story than a side story because It felt kind of unfair for Cantarella, Miles, and Auguille to get dissed like that after this little episode. lol Unless they’re planning on a third fandisc! (laughs)
Although the choices you make in Cantarella’s route, will not change the whole outcome of her story. It will, however, change a few scenes and dialogues in the game depending on the guy (main characters) your choices are inclined to. You can view my walkthrough for this route here.
FINIS’ EPILOGUE (After Story) This after story took place right after the end of Finis’s route in Future Blessings.
Six months have passed since Cardia managed to save his little brother, Finis from the unfortunate Nautilus incident in London. During this time, both twins return to their home in Wales and spend each day cleaning and repairing their old abandoned house while enhancing their bond as siblings. Suddenly, all hell breaks loose when one of Isaac Beckford’s invention called the “Knockers” have been spotted destroying a couple of buildings in London. It was made clear in the story, that these supposed-to-be-quarantined inventions of Isaac were “wrongly” activated by accident and it is now, up to the Beckford twins (Finis’ most especially, since he’s fully knowledgeable when it comes to their father’s inventions) to stop this heaving uproar that threatened London its peaceful days.
This was probably one of my favorite After Stories in the series. Not only we get to see Finis in his true nature, as Cardia’s adorable cinnamon roll lil’ brother. We also get to see Lupin’s Gang and the Gordon Family in action as they help out clear the disruption in the streets of London during the main incident. ***This epilogue was very heartwarming and I absolutely enjoyed seeing Finis’ soft side while he deliberately declares threats whenever one of the main bois flirts with his sister! *chuckles* (´ ω `♡)
HERLOCK SHOLME’S EPILOGUE (After Story) This after story took place right after the end of Sholme’s route in Future Blessings.
It’s been half a year since Sholmes defeated his arch nemesis, James Moriaty (in Code realize Future Blessings). During this story, Cardia becomes part of Sholmes’ Detective agency together with his partner John Watson. The three of them fight crimes for the cause of good, even to the extent of ‘trying‘ to stop Lupin, the gentleman thief’s planned diamond heist of the prized jewel called “Mermaid’s Tear”. Though try as they might, Lupin, as cunning as he is, still gets the upper hand and was able to escape with ease together with his genius engineer assistant, Impey. I know this was just a filler episode but it was kind of weird seeing Cardia as their enemy for once, but oh well…
Anyway, Sholmes actual main story revolved around finding a cure to Cardia’s poison. As the Horologium still present in Cardia’s body, this fact still poses a threat that one day it will activate again, killing her along with the demise of London and its people. With this complication at hand, Sholmes gathered his A-team geniuses in the field of science and medicine; Victor Frankenstein, Dr. John Watson, Impey Barbicane and even the deviant genius scientist Nemo, who apparently now lives in a tiny cardboard box located in sewers (laughs) 😂 Poor guy! As all of them try their hardest to conduct research on a formula that will counteract the horologium’s poison, more problems seep into the picture that eventually causes Sholmes and Cardia make one life-threatening decision.
I like how Sholmes’ epilogue was narrated in a fairytale-esque kind of way. I enjoyed the story’s fluff content though, to be honest, this is probably the weakest story in the game (imo) as there really wasn’t anything “new” going on. Nonetheless, if you’re a fan of Sholmes, I’m sure you’ll have an awesome time discovering a few surprising sides of our favorite hot daddy detective.
FIRST CHRISTMAS “Wintertide Miracles” (Alternate Stories) These are “after stories” that happened right after Finis’ route in Future Blessings. It’s merely an alternate story where our heroine Cardia finds love during the Yuletide season. We get one story for every five main characters. What’s really special about these stories is that Cardia falls in love with one of the guys while his brother is alive! …THIS couldn’t be any more perfect, ❤️ I almost wished this was headcanon!
Spoiler Warning: I will only be posting each story’s premise but I’m putting up my spoiler banner just in case.
Victor Frankenstein After Isaac Beckford’s Nautilus incident that wreaked havoc in the city of London six months ago. Victor ended up opening a clinic located in the downtown part of London in order to help as many people as possible at a cheaper cost.
Victor’s main story started when one day he receives a mail from his parents in Switzerland telling him to settle down. He, in reply, told them he has no plans in getting married anytime soon but then started talking about how he’s currently interested with this ‘one girl’ and went all out writing two whole pages regarding his feelings for Cardia. (´ ε ` )♡ Without thinking of any repercussions, he sends the letter back to his parents judging its only the right thing to do as he’s speaking honestly from his heart. uwu. The next few days, he receives a reply letter from his mom saying they’re coming to London for Christmas so they can meet their son, Vic’s girlfriend. 🤣
In result, a panicked Victor travels to Wales to ask Cardia to be his “pretend” girlfriend just for Christmas while his parents are in town. 😂
***This was by far the cutest, most endearing “First Christmas” story I’ve read among the selections and I absolutely enjoyed it to bits! Besides its overwhelming fluffy contents, we also get to see Victor introducing Cardia to his parents (in CG!).
Saint Germain Six months after the Nautilus Incident, Saint Germain, visits Idea’s leader Omnibus and reports that both Finis and Cardia, Isaac Beckford’s “problematic twins” are now living peacefully in Wales as normal human beings and are no longer a threat to humanity. As one of Idea’s faithful apostle, he awaits for Omnibus next order but was surprised to hear her tell him to take a long sweet vacation instead.
Still dumbfounded by their leader’s words, Saint Germain goes back to the mansion to find something to do with his newly acquired free time but since everyone in Lupin’s gang went about their own lives after London’s incident, he was left as the only resident in his house. This made him feel lonely and he admits to himself how much he misses the rowdy group clamoring inside the premise of his mansion. What’s more, is that he longs to see the face of his beloved, who he has not seen since his last visit in Wales.
This made him decide to write invitation letters to the group for a Christmas “Get-together” party. Though unsure if his anticipated guests would actually make it to the planned event. Saint Germain waits with hopeful eyes to see the faces of his precious friends again.
***The part where he waits for his friends actually made me tear 😭. Why are Saint Germain’s stories always melancholic? Why?! Thank goodness, this ended really REALLY happy. I would also like to gush on the fact that this is the only episode in the whole series where we get to see Guinevere outside her armor! Seriously, you absolutely can’t miss this!
Abraham Van Helsing After London’s Nautilus incident, Van decides to travel with Delly all over United Kingdom in search for survivors of the Vampire War.
During their travels, the duo hears about the upcoming Christmas festival in London and decides to come home for the occasion as well as attend the gang’s Christmas party at Saint Germain’s mansion. They haven’t seen everyone in a while, so this decision made Van and Delly both excited. While at it, Delly proposes to take a side trip to Wales before coming to London and see the Beckford twins. Van agrees with him with Cardia in mind. ( ´ ▽ ` )
A few days have passed and they both arrived at Cardia and Finis’ home in Wales only to be disheartened to see the twins not being around. But with optimism as their friend, Van and Delly decided to wait. Night falls, and finally, Cardia and Finis arrived in the most unfashionable way ever (their automobile almost came crashing towards the duo) 😂 Everyone says their greetings when Cardia noticed that Van and Delly have been waiting out in the cold for too long, so she insisted they stay for the night.
The supposed-to-be one night stay turned into days and the group eventually decided to go to London together. While still in Wales, Cardia wanted to make everyone Christmas presents in the form of knitting and Van insisted on helping her with it.
***I love this! (/▽\*) This surprising side of Van Helsing is all I ever wanted. I’m so glad to see him happy, always smiling and in his positive beaming self. It’s so refreshing! I need more happy-ray-of-sunshine Van Helsing in my life!
Impey Barbicane Half a year has passed since the Nautilus incident in London and Impey visits the deviant scientist Nemo in prison from time to time as he plans to re-invent the gravity alleviator and is currently taking notes on Nemo’s advise while at it.
One day, In Saint Germain’s mansion, Saint tells Impey they received word from Van and Delly saying they’ll be back in London for Christmas. Since Lupin and Victor are already residing in the city, they decided to might as well invite Cardia and Finis in order for the gang to reunite once more this Yuletide season.
Meanwhile, in Wales, Cardia, (while fixing their automobile) thinks of how Impey’s constant declaration of love for her makes her heart feel woozy. She gets confused because she’s sure she loves Impey back but also “loves” the other members of Lupin’ s gang as well as her brother Finis. With this train of thought, she pesters her little bro and forced him to say the phrase “I love you” (to her), to which a blushing Finis, with all the effort, reluctantly did. 😂 But then yo girl was like “Oh but why does it feel different when Impey says it?” 😂 😂 😂 ROFL. This was adorably hilarious! I just can’t! 😂
Later that day, they received a package from London in the form of a miniature Impey doll with a recording of Impey, Saint Germain and Lupin’s voice telling the siblings to come home for Christmas.
***I really enjoyed reading this one! I love how Cardia was strongly forward of wanting to explore her own feelings as she tries to discover the different meanings of “love”. …and seeing Impey immensely blush time and again was such an awesome treat, I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear! Another plus point was that we get to see Nemo give love advises to yo boi and that, to me was the icing on the cake in this story! (laughs)
Arsene Lupin After the Nautilus incident in London six months ago, Lupin is back doing his thievery schemes like the proud gentleman thief he is.
One day while on a mission to steal a prized necklace from a corrupt Duke’s estate, he ends up being chased by Leonhartd as usual and just when he was about to execute his dashing escape, he gets distracted (by thoughts of Cardia) and gets shot by a rubber bullet instead. This, not only surprised Lupin himself but his perpetrators, Leonhardt, and his men were also perplexed at how they were able to take out the famed gentleman thief in one easy shot. In the end, an injured Lupin still managed to get away as he limped his way back to safety.
Back at the mansion, Victor along with Impey confronts Lupin saying he’s not being his usual self lately and asks him to perhaps, take a rain check from work (theft missions). A week later, Saint Germain chimes in, telling him the same and suggests that perhaps he’s longing for “someone”. Taking in the Count’s advise to heart, Lupin begins to think of Cardia and how her absence is taking a toll on him. He then concedes with his true feelings and finally admits he misses her badly and the only way to cure this yearning is to see her face to face. So he starts writing the ‘perfect’ love letter for his beloved lady. 😂
***I must say, this after-story has the best CGs, as expected from the game’s headcanon boi. Just like Lupin’s uwu story in Future Blessings, it had its glorious romantic moments between the couple. As far as I see it, the game is clearly biased on Lupin’s story… the kabedon scene and that loooong kiss at the end, come on! I couldn’t ask for more!
TRIANGLE DATES (More CGs!) These are short stories which involve scenarios of Cardia spending her day with two main characters in the series. Although these are rather shorter stories compared to the ‘Wintertide Miracles’ selection, I was really impressed by how exceptionally good these little episodes were. You think you’ve had enough doki-dokis? Try this one on for size!
Here’s a list of all the Love Triangle episodes (you can play it in any order):

Lupin and Impey

SPECIAL EPILOGUES These are short epilogue stories continuing the last events of Future Blessings (White Rose). These will unlock last, after finishing all of the above’s selections.
IMPEY It’s been a few days and Impey hasn’t returned home after going on a work-related project (fixing airships and submarine engines in London). Cardia was left alone in the mansion and although she knows Impey will come back soon, she thought of surprising him by gathering a lot of research documents related to their ‘moon-project’. She leaves for Wales to collect any information her father might have written in the past that can possibly help with the project. Not to ruin the surprise for her hardworking husband, she leaves a note that says “I’m going”.
Impey arrives at home, finds the note then begins to panic thinking Cardia has left him.😂 So he hurries and follows her to Wales to clear out this whole silly misunderstanding.
LUPIN Cardia and Lupin go on a picnic at their secret place which has a great view of the industrial city of London and Lupin suggest that it’s about time to go on a honeymoon. Next few days, he takes Cardia to his birth city, Paris. There, they visit and the grave of his master, Theophraste and both of them said their prayers. They also ran into the head of the French police whom Lupin coined as someone equivalent to ossan Leonhartd. They had everyone (French police) chase them for fun and the couple gallantly escaped in style.
VAN Cardia and Van are finally getting married and Shirley helps Cardia put on her wedding dress. Cardia decided to step outside the church so she could practice walking in her high-heel shoes when a bunch of men in black suits kidnaps her and takes her to another wedding location. There she finds an impatient man wearing a groom’s outfit who urges her to walk down the aisle with him. Cardia remembers the combat techniques her husband taught her and throws the man to the floor. Meanwhile, a worried and upset Van bursts out through the church door and started taking down the men in suits Liam Neeson style! 😂 😂 😂 Before things get worse, the gang stops Van and explains this was all a misunderstanding as the kidnappers and groom were actually actors and the bride actress never showed up for rehearsals so they thought Cardia was her by mistake.
The Moral of the Story: Don’t mess with this couple… ever! 😂
VICTOR Cardia is now working as Victor’s assistant in the Royal Society and they spend their days doing research in Victor’s lab. Though they call themselves husband and wife, they realize that they never really had an actual wedding ceremony. So Victor asks Cardia if she wants to have a proper wedding and she says yes. A few days later, they began their search for a church in London but couldn’t find any since it’s peak season. Queen Victoria, along with Leonhardt notices Victor’s sullen expression and asks him what’s wrong, Victor tells them their circumstance and a snarky Victoria promises to help him only if he can prove to her how much he really wanted the wedding. After their deal, Victor comes home later than usual as he’s working extra hard to get her beloved wife that perfect wedding she deserves. Finally, the day has come for Victor to propose to Cardia and Victoria granted them permission to use the newly renovated St. Paul’s Cathedral. They got married in front of their friends and the Queen, and Cardia couldn’t be any happier.
SAINT GERMAIN Cardia is now free of her poison and she and Saint Germain return to London so they can hold their wedding ceremony. The Count buys the ship “Gloria” from their mafia adventures in Lupin’s Gang (Future Blessings) episode and tells her this will be their venue. A day before their promised wedding, Hansel takes Cardia to Omnibus cottage and there they meet with Saint Germain and the leader of Idea herself, Omnibus. The old lady gives them her blessing, saying they will no longer be in the watchful eye of Idea and Saint Germain is now finally, freeee! Both couples said their thanks to Omnibus. They got married in their luxurious ship the next day and all of their friends are with them happily celebrating the couple’s most special commemoration.
Will I be able to enjoy this game even if I haven’t played Future Blessings? There were a lot of characters and events in Future Blessings that were present and added to this game, so I don’t think it’s a good idea to skip Future Blessings in the series. In addition, the main “Wintertide Miracles” stories continue from the last events of Finis’s route in Future Blessings, so, all the more reason not to skip the first fandisc.
Localization There were a couple of typo mistakes that I couldn’t really overlook which makes me think that perhaps because of it’s promised released date on Valentines Day, the game was rather rushed and there wasn’t a lot of time spent dedicated solely on proofreading it. ┐(︶▽︶)┌
TRAILER
youtube
FINAL THOUGHTS? \(^▽^)/ My overall play length for Code Realize Wintertide Miracles was a good 10-15 hours. Despite me trying to make the game last forever for about at least, two weeks, I finished it pretty quickly because I just couldn’t get enough of it.
Cantarella’s side story was way better than the gang’s Mafia adventures in Future Blessings and I sure did wish the ‘Cantarella-characters’ would’ve made a cameo in the special epilogues, because seriously, what a waste of good characters to be squeezed in, on the third game. ┐(‘~` )┌
Finis wins best boi in my book. This was one of the things I really appreciated most in this FD, and I’m sure most Code Realize hardcore fans would agree. Finis’ character finally gets justice! We get to see more of his adorable side as Cardia’s little brother while maintaining his hostile and dubious personality 😂. Who would’ve thought this boy is such a tsun-tsun! ❤
Do I recommend this game? YES (esp. to all Code Realize fans) Take note, this game is the series’ second fandisc. So literally, one cannot play it all willy-nilly without fully playing it’s first two predecessors. Personally, I’ve enjoyed this game a lot but that’s because I’m such a huge fan of the series. Perhaps to those who aren’t into Code Realize, you probably won’t enjoy this as much.
With the production of PS Vita consoles and games, completely shutting down worldwide this year, Code Realize Wintertide Miracles was such a special treat for us otome fans ~ esp. now, where there is scarcity of otoge releases in the West.
The game’s romantic Christmas theme really took this one up a notch and the newly added side stories are really something to look forward to. If you already like this series, loved the game’s main casts and wished for more adventures with them, this game is definitely worth the purchase.
CHLO’S RATING: 8/10

A Guide to LOST SONG - Part 1
AKA The anime that made me love Konomi Suzuki
When I stumbled across Lost Song on Netflix, I didn’t know what to expect. The style looked vaguely interesting, and I could tell immediately from the title that it had something to do with music. So I gave it a shot.
And boy howdy, am I glad that I did. This anime is not flawless, but there are so many things I loved about it that it almost outweighs the bad. It exposed me to Konomi Suzuki, who I absolutely love now. And it made me love Yukari Tamura even more, if that was possible. The fandom is small, but it’s passionate in sharing its excitement and knowledge of this anime. And for a while I thought of doing a review, but it hit me to do a guide for the anime to introduce others to it.
So, let’s get into the bare bones of this anime, shall we?
(I’ll be writing my own synopsis since the one on Wikipedia is terrible)
(NOTE: LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!)
The Plot
We have two protagonists, Rin (voiced by Konomi Suzuki in her first acting role) and Silver-Haired Nanoha-I mean Finis (voiced by Yukari Tamura). Rin is a simple country girl who’s adorably ditzy, loves to eat food and most of all loves to sing. Finis is a beautiful but clumsy and airheaded songstress hired by the Capital to use her songs to aid the kingdom’s war effort. Both of our female leads have the ability to sing Spirit Songs, songs that can manipulate the four elements of the world and bring about miracles. Both of them have problems related to their singing: Rin’s grandfather, Talgia, forbids her from singing for mysterious reasons, and she finds support from her older sister Mel and younger brother Al, the latter of whom wishes to go to the Capital to become a scientist (despite his numerous failed inventions). Finis’ songs, while vital to ending the war, severely shorten her lifespan, and she is seen as nothing more than a tool of war by the Capital’s war effort, namely by the prince, Rudo Bernstein (more on him in a bit). The only people who see her as a person are her servant Corte and Henry Leobolt, a knight assigned to protect her by Prince Rudo.
Certain events--the burning of Rin and Al’s village and the deaths of their sister and grandfather, and Finis and Henry’s forbidden romance amidst the war--set the stage for Rin and Finis to finally meet. Will the last song be one to save the world...or destroy it?
The Characters
Lost Song has a host of characters, both male and female, that have an important role in the story and all get their own time to shine (although some characters do get the short end of the stick, as I’ll explain in part 2).
I’ll be breaking them down as best as I can, hopefully with as few spoilers as possible!
**NOTE: I’ll be using the Netflix translations for their names until further info is revealed (like how to actually spell them correctly)
Rin
A village girl with a passion for singing
Greatest wish is to travel to the capital to sing at the Star Song Festival
Blessed with an amazing voice, but is banned from singing by her grandfather
Possesses a mysterious power to both control the elements and create “miracles” with her songs
Loves her family and friends dearly
Blames herself for her sister’s and grandfather’s deaths as her song led Bazra to her village
Occasionally ditzy, gluttonous and sometimes hard on herself (due to the aforementioned deaths of her family), but is otherwise a sweet, selfless girl who tries to understand others
Will recklessly throw herself in danger to help those in trouble
Finis
The Capital’s Songstress who is also referred to as a goddess by the capital’s army due to her Power of Songs
Also blessed with an amazing voice (YUKARI TAMURA, DUH)
Her songs are used for war, so she is seen as a weapon by many of the Capital’s elite, namely Prince Rudo
Continued use of her songs shortens her lifespan, a fact known to her servant, Corte
Falls in love with Henry Leobolt, a knight assigned to protect her during the war, due to him treating her like an actual person.
Is eventually forced to kill people with her songs so Rudo won’t kill Henry
Very airheaded and has NO sense of direction, but is otherwise a sweet woman.
Al Hawkray
Rin’s adopted younger brother and Mel’s biological younger brother
An aspiring inventor and scientist whose inventions sometimes fail at the worst possible time
Constantly points out how things involving songs are scientifically impossible
Travels with Rin to the capital after their village is destroyed and his grandfather and Mel are killed
Despite his bad luck, several of his inventions have proven to be useful as weapons (ie. his Star Bombs)
Greatly admires Dr. Weissen
Often the butt of everyone’s jokes, much to his annoyance
A little salty with his companions, but cares for them nonetheless
Has an unrequited crush on Rin
Pony Goodlight
A former Court Minstrel who travels around the country
Rin and Al’s first companion
Left the Capital and her job for unknown reasons
Is also a pretty good singer (her VA, Chiaki Takahashi, is Azusa from iM@S after all), with a knowledge of many Legendary Songs that she teaches to Rin
Likes to think of herself as mature, but can be somewhat temperamental
DOES NOT like to be called old. Or ugly.
Also hates bugs
Likes to drink and gamble
Has the hots for Henry Leobolt (calling him “Hottie” on several occassions)
The Lux Sisters (Monica and Allu)
Allu is the oldest, with short red hair and red eyes
Monica is younger with brown hair that covers one eye, and wears a strange rabbit suit
They are Rhythmists who were working for the capital to manufacture Echo Devices for the war
They originally went to the capital to become Minstrels in the Court Orchestra, but gave it up to earn money to heal their mother’s blindness
When Rin heals their mother with the Song of Healing, they join Rin, Al and Pony on their journey to the capital
Allu is the braver of the two, but can come off as rude and harsh to those who meet her. Very protective of Monica, and has a habit of randomly drumming on objects at times
Monica is quieter, cowardly (having a habit fo falling asleep when in danger) and speaks very little. Is also a very good singer and can imitate any song perfectly after hearing it just once
Both are good friends with Rin (who healed their mom) and often tease Al (much to his chagrin)
Mel Hawkray
Rin and Al’s older sister
The only one who supports Rin’s singing talents, and is said to spoil Rin a little
Dies in the first episode, but appears a few times (in Rin’s dreams), and is mentioned by both Rin and Al
A sweet, nurturing woman who loves her siblings
THE MOST underused character in this whole show
Corte (pictured on the right)
Finis’ servant, who serves as a mother figure
Is practically glued to Finis’ side, though Finis loves her just as much and can’t function without her
Is always worried for Finis’ safety, but will put her life on the line to protect her
Supports Henry and Finis’ relationship
Dislikes Prince Rudo (then again, who doesn’t like him?) and knows of the danger he poses to Finis and Henry
Talgia Hawkray
Rin’s adoptive grandfather and Mel and Al’s biolgical grandfather
Kind old man, honestly, but is strict, especially with Rin
Bans Rin from singing for unexplained reasons, which causes a strain in their relationship
Also dies in the first episode, but appears later on in some very important scenes detailing Rin’s past
Along with Finis and Rin, he’s a fairly important character (if minor)
Henry Leobolt
A knight from the famous Leobolt family who is Finis’ bodyguard
A strong, brave and caring man who sticks with his ethics
He owns a family sword that is said to never break or rust, and is a master swordsman who can take down a whole army
Is wholly against war, but will not hesitate to defend himself, his men, or those he’s sworn to protect
Falls in love with Finis, and as a result is moved to the frontlines by Rudo as punishment, but manages to survive and command his own team of men
Knows of Finis’ curse and hates to see her suffer for his sake
Dr. Weissen
An eccentric old man who happens to be a renowned physicist, inventor and scientist
Has a croissant on his cane for random snacking (no, really he does)
Crotchety at first, but is actually a kindhearted old man
He originally did research to help people, but was then forced to build weapons of war under Rudo’s rule
Lost his entire lab, his assistants and his inventions to the Capital, which made him lose hope
Takes on Al as his assistant after Rin restores his lab and becomes his mentor
Prince Rudo Bernstein IV
The prince of the Capital
A cold, heartless, ruthless person who will kill those who oppose him in a heartbeat
Is disliked by many of the populace (and for good reason)
Is engaged to Finis (who dislikes him)
Hates Henry Leobolt, especially after he falls in love with Finis, and tried to kill him by putting him in the frontline of the war
Uses Finis as a tool of war, and eventually convinces her to use her songs to kill people by threatening to kill Henry
Bazra Bearmors
The General of the Capital’s army
A ruthless man who uses others for his personal gain
Is rivals with Henry Leobolt and tried to kill him several times throughout the show
Destroyed Weissen’s lab and also killed Rin’s grandfather
A powerful swordsman who can go toe to toe with Henry
The only other characters I can think of are the men that eventually join up with Henry after Rudo puts him on the frontline, but they’re minor, and not even the official site lists them as characters ^^;
Part 2 will kind of go into a bit more details about what to look for in the plot following episode 7, where things REALLY get kind of crazy, as well as my general opinions on the characters, the music and the general tone of the show.
If this mini guide had you interested in the ainime, then that’s great! I’m hoping that more people catch on to watching Lost Song. It really needs more love!
~iheartgod175, out!

Lost Song
Synopsis: Rin, an energetic girl who loves to eat, lives in a verdant frontier village. Deep within the royal palace in the bustling capital city, the songstress Finis spends her days in solitude. Both share a special power no other person has. A miraculous power that can heal wounds, create water and stir the wind—the power of song. Guided by destiny, the two young women each face an arduous journey with the power of song. The shadow of war looms over the kingdom, tainting even the miraculous songs with the blood of innocents. Loved ones meet their deaths as silent screams echo through a stone prison. As two destinies intersect, will the final song be one of despair, hope or...?
My Thoughts?: Ya girl is back from the dead, been working like hell, but heres a review! This anime was a rollercoaster. At first, I was like,"man, this is just a standard run of the mill anime" but it's cute tho. THEN, I was like "o shit.... Ooooooo shhiiitt. fuck😭😭😭😭" What starts off as a typical anime grows into something much much more. Its only that definitely grew on me, I didn't start out in love with it, but my God, it's worth a watch. Also, shout-out for having a predominantly female cast with little to no fan service, an actual developed group of ladies and a tragically beautiful love story. OH, ITS GOT LOTS OF MUSIC, well, the same four ish songs but it's nice sounding. And the characters are funny as heck.
Overall? 8.5/10, be prepared to cry, like a lot. Shocked tears, angry tears and full on feels tears. Also, there's --some-- CGI that made me cringe but I lived. (Also I couldn't find a GIF for this so there's a picture, it's still me, I swear.)
If you liked, Fractale you should check this out, it gives off a similar vibe.

Title Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ Developer Otomate (Idea Factory) Publisher Aksys Games Release Date February 14th, 2019 Genre Visual Novel, Otome Platform PS4, Vita Age Rating T for Teen Official Website
Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ is the third and newest installment in the Code: Realize series. This time around, much of the story is Christmas and winter themed. The full cast of ~Guardian of Rebirth~ and ~Future Blessings~ makes a return here as well as some brand new characters. What makes this title even more special is the fact that it was localized in North America on Valentine’s Day. For the purposes of this review, I’ve done my best to avoid spoilers from the first two games. Despite those efforts, the events of the first game and the usage of some alternate timelines in this one made some references unavoidable. If you’ve not played the first two games, please consider doing so or, at the very least, have a look at our ~Bouquet of Rainbows~ review first. Now that those formalities are out of the way, let’s jump right in and take a look at what makes this installment memorable.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Code Realize: ~Wintertide Miracles~ is spit into three distinct segments, each of which is represented using the different parts of a Christmas tree. At the very top of the tree, we have a series of triangle date events. Each of these lasts a little less than 30 minutes and features two different bachelors vying for Cardia’s attention. Since there are five different suitors to choose from, a total of 10 combinations exist here. There are also three special, not so romantic events involving the supporting cast of the first two games. All 13 segments take place directly after the base game and assume that the marriage scenarios of ~Future Blessings~ never occurred. There is no conflict and these exist purely for the sake of romantic fan-service.
The second tier of the tree consists of five different romance routes, each following a different male member of Lupin’s team. Similar to the above scenarios, these events assume that the marriage routes of Future Blessings never happened. What sets these apart though is that instead of taking place right after the base game, they all occur after the alternate route involving Finis from the second. So in that sense, they take place after Blessings but only include Finis’ route as canon. Having said all of that, the purpose of these routes is for Cardia to spend her first Christmas with one of the five gentlemen in Lupin’s crew. Each event is around 1.75 hours in length and they all involve Finis to some degree as well. These are followed up at the end of the game (once all other content is completed) with special epilogue events. These epilogue events are less that half-an-hour in length and involve Cardia marrying one of the bachelors (again).
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The final series of story scenarios occupies the space at the bottom of the Christmas tree. These include alternate events involving Sholmès and Finis as well as an all-original route that I will discuss separately. The Sholmès route is much in the same vein as the romantic routes discussed in the second tier above. It is separated from those due to Sholmès not being a main character. Finis’ route on the other hand explores what Cardia’s life with Finis would’ve been like had his route been followed in the previous game. In this timeline, he comes to live with her in her mansion in Wales. Sholmès’ route also takes place after Finis’ route from the previous title. They are also both around 1.75 hours in length.
While still part of that third tier on the tree, our main event is the all-new Cantrella route which takes place during the events of the first game. This route stood out to me for a few reasons. Unlike all the others, this one takes place during the main events of the base game, adds a considerable amount of lore to it, and sets the stage for further events to follow. At just over 4 hours in length, it is also the longest route available this time around. It follows the story of two new characters: Cantrella and Miles Strand. Cantrella is a world-renowned songstress whose voice captivates everyone in the main cast as well as a mysterious baron who wishes to kidnap her. When he makes his first move, Cardia and the gang immediately choose to involve themselves despite their ongoing troubles with the Twilight organization. This route is most comparable to Shirley’s route from Future Blessings, but it’s shorter and (I’d argue) more compatible with the main story. While all of the other content was nice and enjoyable, Cantrella’s route was really the star of this show for me.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
My main issue with this release is the confusing mixture of alternate timelines. Because there are a number of different paths from the first two games being thrown into the mix, it’s rather difficult to follow at times. There are many occasions where things from the first game need to be re-explained to Cardia since she has not yet encountered them. For example, in some routes Cardia has yet to make contact with the members of Idea. Aleister’s backstory is also a bit fuzzy, since some of the events from the first game show you his villainous intent while others do not. To that end, he may either be seen as a major nemesis or just a former adversary. I appreciate the fact that the developers used some of the alternate routes of the previous games to help expand the story, but without a flowchart to follow, keeping track of the events was difficult at times.
That’s my second issue with this title. Just like its predecessors, there is no flowchart of events to be found. While the decision points here aren’t nearly as story critical as those in the base game, it still would have been nice to reference a backlog of the choices that I made. When revisiting scenes that include decisions, your previous choices are highlighted to help guide you, but unless you write down which scenes contain which decisions, it’s difficult to go back and try different paths later. This is by no means a game-breaking issue, but I’d like to see some form of flowchart implemented in any future releases.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Luckily, Wintertide also shares some positive similarities with the previous games. Namely, the artwork and sound design are once again top-notch. Indeed many of the same assets have been carried over from the the first two titles. There are a number of new Christmas-themed backgrounds and character portraits added in too, but the bulk of the artwork remains the same. The pieces that are new fit right in with the existing ones. The same can be said of the music, which is mostly more of the same. The most notable changes include some new tracks for Cantrella’s scenario. These also feel right at home alongside the existing music.
Overall, my feelings on Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ are a bit mixed. For those like me who find themselves already invested in the series, I feel that this title is a welcome edition. Its biggest downside is the fact that the Cantrella route is only 4 hours. Having said that, her route is perhaps the most memorable to date outside of the main story. It manages to expand on the lore of the base game without retconning any of those events and fits quite seamlessly with all of the other pieces. It’s also separate enough that it can stand on its own. All together, I spent a little under 23 hours with Wintertide. I would’ve preferred some of the more involved stories to last a bit longer, but at a modest price point of $49.99 for the standard PS4 edition, I can overlook that. I would highly recommend this title to anyone who has already played the first two. If you haven’t yet played those though, I’d suggest doing so before making the decision to pick this up.
