sporadic clumps of ( now ) ex-convicts begin to filter out, their loved ones scattered outside the premises, just like sohyun was, begin moving forward to meet them halfway in teary-eyed embraces and soft, choked murmurs. but unlike everyone else, she’s on a wave, a substantial one — far out from shore. once he emerges, she doubts he’ll be able to spot her. sohyun decides to trail behind the crowd, inching closer to the walls of barbed wire and reinforced metal until a single, final silhouette against the filtered sunlight cuts through the early morning mist. a strikingly familiar figure that bleeds warmth into her heart, heartbeat palpitating as her grips tightens on the paper bag full of congratulatory doughnuts. her short, slim arm sticks upwards in a small wave, breath quickening as she watches him come into earshot. ‘ hey, you. ’

I have a question! Who do you think you and your mutuals are most like out of the mates in your Imprinted series? And Tales from the Pack too!

djfhkdhsfsd okay this will be really interesting. I’ll list Imprinted mates first and TftP mates second so it’s not as confusing. Also, a lot of the TftP mates haven’t been introduced yet so bear with me. I’ll also probably end up missing one of the TftP mates because there are only 12 mates in Imprinted, but 13 in the other.

Also, I’m very bad at explaining characteristics so just…..I’m sorry. AND IM SORRY IF I DON’T MENTION YOU, I JUST HAVE A LOT OF MUTUALS AND PEOPLE I’VE SPOKEN TO LATELY 

@neverknewgrey2016: Juri (Seungcheol) & RuShi (Junhui). RuShi hasn’t been introduced yet but she’s very motherly and takes care of the family she has left. Juri is kind of like the “pack mom” in Imprinted since Seungcheol is the alpha. Juri is definitely the most level-headed one.

@dreamjunhui: Faye (Wonwoo) & Suvi (Chan). Faye is really……weird. Super fucking intelligent, but weird. She’s kind of a walking meme sometimes, and she hangs out a lot with Soonyoung, Seokmin, and Mingyu so it kinda makes sense. Suvi is the baby; she needs a lot of protecting. But she also wants to just grow up, and she loves those around her and puts a lot of trust in them.

@boomboombitches: Bomi (Mingyu) & Kit/Kyung (Vernon). Bomi is sassy but still more silly compared to Eunmi or Aya, and she kind of sticks to her ideas and stuff. Stubborn is the word I’m looking for lol. Kyung (again, has been vaguely introduced but she’s also in Star Crossed) is kind of like Bomi imo. Kyung cares a lot about others and is always willing to help, but she can get really feisty. Like, she’s not afraid to kill somebody.

@serendipitioustaehyung: Areum (Chan) & Nayeon (Jeonghan). Not counting Areum being super against dating somebody younger than her, I think they’re the most alike. When I first planned out Areum’s character when she was bffs with Minghao, she was just like, this cool girl that liked helping Minghao with his problems. I chose Nayeon because Nayeon has a very “don’t tell me what to do” mindset, but still usually does what Jeonghan tells her to do anyway. She’ll play it off like it’s because she wants to, though, which I think is cute. 

@cause-im-a-pilot-anywhere: Rini (Soonyoung) & Yeji (Jihoon). Rini’s pretty much always pretty cheery, and kind of the mood maker sometimes. She’s a very kind girl and kind of just wants everyone to be happy. Yeji has more of a bite to her, but it’s with good intentions. Yeji loves to tease Jihoon, but she also tries to guide her friends on the right paths.

@bbyboyhyunjin: Eunmi (Jihoon) & Danbi (Mingyu). Idk but I immediately thought of a convo in the gc the other day where we were talking about how men ain’t shit, and these are the two I thought of. Eunmi does not do things to impress other people, she really only cares about herself and her pack family. Danbi is also somebody who cares very deeply about her friends and family, but as y’all have seen, she will stand up for herself if needed. Same energy imo.

@nervousatthenightclub: Kira (Hansol) & Soomin (Wonwoo). Two smart bitches, but they also the sweetest bitches. Kira’s someone who’s very kind and helpful, even toward strangers, and Soomin’s very knowledgeable and just as kind. The three of them are like……wise old owls or something y’know.

@checkin-london: Jaehee (Joshua) & Hayeong (Seungcheol). I know I mostly focused on Jaehee’s love triangle rather than Jaehee as a character, but I think it’s safe to say she ends up in some really weird situations, and idk why that fits so well for this??? Just…..the amount of weird stories told in the gc…… And Hayeong, while she a tough bitch, she’s sometimes gets herself into situations where she doesn’t really think shit though as much. Still clever and not afraid to cut somebody though.

@24caratbebe: Aya (Jeonghan) & Sohyun (Seokmin). I feel like Aya doesn’t need explaining. Sarcastic, “fuck it, I’ll do it myself” mentality, a hardass bitch, but still would kill and die for her family. Sohyun, on the other hand (more people nobody knows about lmao) has two sides to her (literally). She can be the sweetest, softest girl who really just wants to do good for people. But then she can also ruin your life. We love queens.

@fxllenforyxu: Yerin (Seokmin) & Alex/Ara (Soonyoung). Idk, I just thought of Yerin. Yerin is very soft spoken and keeps to herself mostly, but she’s literally the human embodiment of a soft marshmallow that just wants everyone to be happy. Ara, on the other hand, is loud around certain people, and she’s witty and tough. But around strangers, she’s very shy and will quite literally hide from others lol.

@ripperoonii: Jangmi (Seungkwan) & Jia (Minghao). Jangmi is a smart girl, takes a lot of classes and does well in them, and knows what she wants. She wants to do things for herself, and she’s not afraid to tell people no. However, she’s still a very soft girl, and she’s really just trying to figure things out. Jia is literally the embodiment of good. She’s helpful, very knowledgeable, and people can’t help but love Jia.

@sadienita: Yoona (JunHao) & Eunjin (Seungkwan). Yoona is also very bright, and kind of has to think about the future a lot. She’s also very sweet and caring, and she tries to make the people she cares about happy. She’s one of the more soft spoken ones imo because she really just sticks close to those she’s comfortable around (i.e her few friends and the pack) but yeah, she definitely takes others into consideration. Eunjin is very timid, but she thinks deeply about a lot of things. She’s usually pretty spacey because her mind is always elsewhere, and idk I think it’s a pretty good fit (after that super deep conversation about the future we had the other night, I just knew you had to be them ok).
