2 - Confession

(a/n: The italicized words are the words they say in English. The ones which are not are just subtitles. I want to write it in Hangul but I remembered that I don't know Hangul and you, too, cannot understand it. )

"Are you ready?" Chanyeol inquires, locking the door of his room. He placed his phone on his giant ear and his shoulder holding it to keep it in place. He's phoning Sera right now while walking his way to the basement to get his car and fetch Sera in her house so they two can go to school together. That's what bestfriends do.

"Hmm, Yes, I already prepared our lunch. Please move quickly. They might sue us again for being late." Sera states, shifting uncomfortably on her seat as she watches unicorns sliding on a rainbow.

"Wait for me there in 15 minutes. I'll be driving now. I'll hang up. Bye." She hears dangling of keys in the other line and gets ready to depart.

Just after Sera opens the door of Chanyeol's door, because she knows Chanyeol will not do it for her, she immediately spots her bestfriend, Hannie.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" Hannie and Taewoo are playing rock, paper and scissors. Children these days, tsk. Sera thinks. Seolrin is just sitting there, scrolling her phone while waiting for Willis, she doesn't give a fuck.

Sera can already see the figures of her buddies. Chanyeol tells Sera that he'll come after a minute, he's having some time for himself and he is still in his car, freshening his breath, fixing his outfit and all for when Seolrin gets near him, he's all perfect, he's his crush after all.

Skipping like a kid towards her friends, Hannie and Taewoo already noticed her presence but still continues to play their game, the person who will pay for their lunch later depends on the winner of the game.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" Hannie's fingers are positioned as scissors while Taewoo's are paper, making Hannie the winner. Within a second of realizing that she's the winner, she sticks her tongue out to Willis. Their game ended and they can finally take notice of Sera who is just standing there like a beggar who is waiting for people passing to give her alms. "Hello," Hannie greets her. Seolrin finally looks up from her phone to Sera's face, but she is still not giving a fuck.

"Where's Chanyeol?" Taewoo asks.

"Doing his business inside his car. He'll come in any minute." Taewoo didn't ask for such questions about what Chanyeol is doing or when will he come but Sera already gave him the full details so he won't ask for such questions anymore.

What business is he doing there? Not that he's judging Sera because of the way she composed the statement, it is in a bit perverted way. Maybe doing his job. The 'you know' job.

"Is he hurrying? I need to see Ree before she goes to her first class." Taewoo states, forced dejectedly. Hyunree is his long-time crush and that girl doesn't have the same schedule as theirs.

Sera is about to speak when she sees two men walking like some famous bitches in red carpet. Willis and Chanyeol are having their arms on each other's shoulders like bros. They thought they look cool. When they saw Seolrin's inevitable glare to the two of them, they fasten their walk in immediate.

Sera's already got home. Chanyeol actually took her home because that's what bestfriends do. She just finished eating dinner and is now ready to sleep. That's how her day goes.

Being surprised by her phone producing a sound all of a sudden, she fishes it, reaching her arms on the nightstand (where it is located). She is lying on her bed right now, still waiting for her Hogwarts letter. She opens the message from:

GD The Explorer? 10:15 pm ✓   Are you still up?

Sera (My future Wife) 10:15 pm ✓ Yeah. Seems like you're up early.. It's 6:15 am there, right? Good Morning ><

Sera smiles, replying in Hangul although she knows that she's talking to an English speaker person, but she doesn't give a damn about it, the person whom she's talking to right now understands Hangul, anyway.

(a/n: I don't really know if it's possible for their contact names both appear. This is Sera's phone and not Sera's point of view. But I will just put the contact name of Sera on that guy's phone.)

GD The Explorer? 10:16 pm ✓ Well, I have to wake up early to have talks to you. (even though it is still late there when I do). Anyway, how's school get going?

Staring at her phone for a minute, she thinks if the words she will type will hurt him. She fidgets her fingers on the bed as she decides to just be honest, that would hurt him less than a lie would.

Sera (My Future Wife) 10:18 pm✓ I know that if I tell you. You'd be hurt. I'm really sorry. I still can't give what you want.

Gideon The Explorer? 10:19 pm✓ Hey, I was asking you about school. And don't stress out too much.. it's not just your 'yes' that I am waiting for. I am also waiting for your *that L word*. And I will do my waiting patiently. Don't think about it too much. Good night and don't forget that I love you ^^

She can't take this, but she is continuously doing otherwise. It's so hard to watch a person giving all his love to you but your busy giving yours to others. She know she's a bitch for doing so. She knows it.

Sera (My Future Wife) 10:20 pm ✓ :) Good morning :)

It was a tiring day. How can she even think of that? She's just like an 8-year old kid who writes on her diary whenever something happens.

Having no contact lenses feels really comfortable. She can just sleep in any minute right now. But some certain things that she doesn't know restrains her from doing so. She feels like wanting to stay up all night for unknown reasons, although she doesn't have anything to do. She's just going to stare at the ceiling for 8 fucking hours, thinking of how complicated her life is. And just by imagining that, she feels so nostalgic.

Tossing and turning on her bed, unable to sleep.

A 'ding' sound from her phone wakes her up again. Not that she's asleep but her soul is.

Sera was expecting the same person but a little part in her heart hopes that it is from Chanyeol. And that is what happens as she taps the icon with her eyes closed.

Park- 10:30 pm ✓   I know you're still awake. A certain unknown thing tells my brain that you are.

Kang- 10:30 pm ✓   Hmm? Why do you have to send me those kind of words. You could have just tell me "Sera, are you still awake?". That's way too dramatic. Anyway, what is it? Hurry up, I'm about to sleep now.

Laughing at her own lies, Sera sits on her bed in a 'W' leg position. And because it is Chanyeol, there's a smile plastered in her face.

Obviously, she doesn't mean it when she said, "Hurry up, I'm about to sleep.". But sometimes, you have to lie or simply play hard-to-get for people not to think of you being no fun.

And that's what she did.

Park- 10:31 pm ✓   Sera, can I ask you a favor? You know that we're already college students, right?

Sera shifts, thinking of some smart situations that Chanyeol could be referring to. She knows it when Chanyeol is being like this. He sure will wish for something really big. Because the last time Chanyeol became like this to her, he was begging Sera to finish his thesis because he doesn't have any clever ideas to think about. And that's not a very good situation.

Kang- 10:32 pm ✓   Are you asking me or you're being a dumbass bean again?

Sera replies.

Park- 10:32 pm ✓   And since we already had known each other so much.. Rin, Hannie, Taewoo and Willis.

Kang- 10:32 pm ✓   And?

Why can't just this guy go straight to his point? There are so many this and that in his texts. And it's absolutely creeping the hell out of Sera. She furrows her eyebrows. Damn, Chanyeol's blabbering is like a YouTube video. You have to skip the advertisement first before you get to the real point.

Park- 10:34 pm ✓   Sera, you are the one whom I am closes to that's why I am telling you this, okay? And of course I know that you're not going to share my secrets.

Kang- 10:34 pm ✓   Just go straight to the point, Park. I'm really getting sleepy and it's really late already.

Sera lies again. Of course, she can wait for everything without hesitation when it comes to Chanyeol.

Park- 10:36 pm ✓   I wanna ask Seolrin out.

Her heart broke upon reading the last text message. She felt like being torn by pieces of needles.

Just as what she expected, this is going to be a long night for her.

So this is the reason. The 'unknown' reason which my heart is longing to know earlier. Why does it have to hurt so much?

She takes her pillow and lies underneath it. Hello, Mr. Pillow. I think you're going to be soaked again. She says in her mind, the first tear already fell.
