orion slammed a fist against his chest as if her words had physically injured him. " they tried to, but ... " he turned, pretending that he was just going to grab a new pack, then quickly plucked the original pack from her hands once again. this time, he held it high and out of her reach. "my....." bethany was about to call him her hero, but her facial expression changes the second he tosses the box of oero's into his cart. she glances up at him, then down into the cart, and without hesitation, she steps forward and reaches for them. "sorry, khan, you should have been faster." a cheeky grin on her features, holding the oero's in her hand. "didn't anyone teach you about sharing?"

something told orion that his precious pink teddy bear would be transferring ownership by the ride's end. it was fine - bethany seemed to need it more than he did. " mhm. i definitely believe you. " he nodded solemnly, all the while planning ways to taunt her once they were up in the air. the line moved quickly and soon enough, the two were seated comfortably in a carriage of their own, slowly ascending into the sky.

a brow raised at orion. he was someone she could lean on, but she also knew a different side of him. "is that so?" her gaze shifts to the pink teddy bear under his arm and there was this sudden desire that she needed the bear. at the sight of his arm offered to her, her arm slips around his, leading him over to the lineup. "of course not," she scoffs at him, hiding the fact she was indeed afraid of heights, but really wanted to go on the ride. "definitely not afraid of heights." she repeats, looking up at him with deviance in her eyes.

" ooh, that's a good choice, " orion chuckled as he retrieved the precious cookies. he looked between her and the package with a thoughtful expression, then dumped the package into his own cart. " sorry, walker! you should've been taller! "

"do you think you can help me?" bethany turns to the person coming down the aisle. "i can't reach the box of cookies," she glances up at the top shelf, knowing that there were a few pushed back. "the double stuffed oeros." they were a guilty pleasure of hers.

orion was the proud owner of a brand new pink teddy bear, which he had tucked under his arm as he wandered the fair grounds. the day had been long, packed with back to back shifts at three separate booths before he was able to enjoy the fair freely. the exhaustion had caught up to him, though, and he thought the ferris wheel would be the perfect way to end the day. " what a coincidence. that's exactly where I was heading. " orion, ever the gentleman, offered her his arm ( only slightly teasing her ). " don't tell me you're scared, walker. "

bethany stood a little off of the line that was part of the ferris wheel. it was a ride she wanted to go on with, but she didn't want to go on alone. she wasn't horribly afraid of heights, but they did make her uneasy. her head turns to the person walking past her. "want to go on the ride with me?" she was hopeful they would say yes, but didn't mind asking another if they said no.
