Her white fur made her a little too visible for comfort, as she ran as close to the burning forest as she could in an attempt to hide her scent and move where there might be less people to observe her. Thalia suspected that the witches were keeping the barrier closed. So far she hadn’t seen a single person emerge from the forrest, where most people she’d actually talked with had said they’d seen rebels appear. Now maybe if she was clever about it though, she could get closer to the border, just in case the witches had a moment of weakness. Anyone with a collar would have felt that desire. To not just run, but to try to escape. She was past the point where the fire was, taking a turn to figure out if the border was near, when a familiar scent hit her. One that caused the white wolf to turn towards it and snarl loudly, barring her teeth at him. If that didn’t say ‘get the fuck away from me’, then he really was an asshole for ignoring all the signs. Why the hell couldn’t he just leave her alone?
Growling again, Thalia stood her ground, making it very clear she wanted him to leave. It was the best option she had. The second best would be to run, though given their size differences and age differences, chances where he could catch her. And no way was she turning back to human form so he could easily overpower her if he wanted to. Honestly it was a gamble either way. Which annoyed her even more.

Two of them broke it; Zeus with Jason and Thalia, Poseidon with Percy.
When Hades found out, he let out all three Kindly Ones and a pack of Hellhounds
Thalia wound up becoming a tree.
Grover was the satyr assigned to bring only Thalia in. Thalia had befriended Annabeth and Luke, and she wouldn’t leave them behind.

When Hellhounds die, they melt into shadow and soak into the ground.
Hellhounds are from the fields of punishment.
When Poseidon claims Percy, everyone kneels.
“Poseidon, Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail, Perseus Jackson, Son of the Sea God.”

Percy’s fists clench at the very sight of Gabe.
Percy doesn’t have many friends.
Percy isn’t afraid of Hades; he wants to get revenge and take Hades on.
Gods can’t encroach on each other’s territories but demigods can. Gods can’t be held responsible for heroes actions.
Percy describes his emotions as rolling glass in a kaleidoscope.
Percy is so relieved that Grover is coming with him that he wants to cry.
Annabeth volunteered to go on the Quest. Percy is not surprised.
Previously, Luke told Percy that Annabeth has been harassing Chiron for a prophecy and that she’s been hanging onto all of the new campers until she’s sure they aren’t the chosen one.
Annabeth says that Percy will mess up this quest without her even though he’s been more than adequate at handling everything that’s been thrown his way.
The camp store loans Percy $100.00 and 20 golden drachmas.
He’s also given a canteen of nectar and a ziplock bag full of ambrosia squares.
The ambrosia and nectar is only to be used in emergencies; it will kill a mortal and demigods will literally burn up if they overdose.
Annabeth’s cap was given to her on her twelfth birthday by her mom, Athena.
Luke actually runs up the hill to give them the basketball shoes. They’re the flying shoes he got from his dad for his quest when he was seventeen.
Luke gives the shoes directly to Percy.
Percy is worried that Luke would have been jealous of the attention he’s been getting.
Percy blushes because Luke gave him the magic gift.
Luke seems uncomfortable talking to Percy. He trails off three times and uses “um.” And then there’s an [awkward] handshake.
Luke pats Grover between the horns and gives Annabeth a hug.
Annabeth’s crush on Luke has been brought up three times so far.
Percy figures out by this one interaction that Annabeth let Luke capture the flag instead of her.
Percy thinks that he’s a brat for wanting a magical gift from his father.
Riptide (Anaklusmos) is a gift from Poseidon that Chiron has been holding onto for the next child of Poseidon.
Riptide is forged by the Cyclopes, tempered in the heart of Mount Etna, and cooled in the River Lethe.
Mortals aren’t important enough for the blade to kill but it will kill demigods and anything from the Underworld.
Percy thinks that the real world feels like a fantasy after spending two weeks at Half-Blood Hill.
Percy thinks that Annabeth hates him.
Annabeth thinks they have to be rivals because their parents are.
Annabeth was also mean to him before she knew who his dad was.
Even after two weeks away from Gabe, Grover can still smell him on Percy.
This makes Percy immediately want a shower.
Grover says that Percy should be thankful Sally was with someone who smelled so repulsively human because it kept the monsters away and that Sally must have loved Percy a lot to put up with that guy.
This does not make Percy feel better but he hides his feelings; or hopes he does since satyrs can sense emotions with or without an empathy link.
Percy is on the quest because he wants to save his mom.
He is not on the quest to retrieve Zeus’s lightning bolt
Or to save the world
Or to help his dad out of trouble. Percy is actually really, really angry with Poseidon for never visiting or helping Sally.
Annabeth and Percy are good at playing hacky sack.
The three Furies are considered the worst monsters in the Underworld.
Percy had a chance to escape on the bus and didn’t take it.
Alecto threatens to kill Percy (again)
Percy can speak Latin
Percy knows that the Greek Gods (Zeus and Hades in particular) are being assholes to him.
The food at Camp Half-Blood is grapes, bread, cheese, and extra-lean-cut nymph-prepared barbecue.
“Your head is full of kelp.”
In Aunty Em’s emporium, Percy says that the smell of her cooking makes everything else go away, however he still has the sense of mind to notice Grover whimpering, the statues’ eyes following them, and Auntie Em locking the door.
Percy’s neck tingles when he’s in danger.
Percy is annoyed that Annabeth is being rude to a woman who just fed them for free.

It seemed somtimes that no matter what she said, it didn’t get trough to him. Instead of a sane conversation, theirs often became an escalated blame game that never ended. “I made ONE mistake that I was about to rectify, and you made sure I never got that far. You decided to take away my chance at redemption without even talking to me about it. So who really is it that can’t accept the consequences of their actions huh? When you betrayed my trust, did you expect me to say thank you? What fucked up world do you live in..” she shook her head, freeing her chin from his grasp.
About to take a strep back, Thalia barley caught the phrase ‘train you myself’ before the world around her drastically shifted. Struggling to breathe, she still fought, lashing out with all she could until her body hit the hard floor. “As if you haven’t made my life miserable enough.” She spat, rolling her eyes and quickly getting to her feet. The basement wasn’t unfamiliar, but her memories of it was a bit hazy. “Would have preferred for it to be longer. We have very different understandings of that word.” Her voice quieter as she eased backwards, taking the space between them for as long as she could, suspecting it wasn’t going to last. A certain anticipation snaked its way into her veins, no matter how hard she tried to pretend it wasn’t there. She would never coherently admit that there were parts of her that had quite enjoyed his undivided attention.
wolfthalia:
There was nothing he could say that would make her consider forgiving him, nor being remotely nice or cooperative. She was well aware that he had a different version of events when he looked back on it. Which was why the rift between them seemed and would probably remain irreparable. What they’d had, what they’d shared, what they had been to one another was broken. And in her opinion he was the one who had broken it. “Delusional? You’re the one who is delusional! You didn’t keep me alive for me, you did it for you! And I didn’t bring shit on myself. I trusted you with the truth and you stabbed me in the back! I helped a friend, and was ready to turn him in, and instead you took it upon yourself to do that, implicating me in the process. Well you should have let them have my head then if keeping me alive was such a burden. I would have ben fucking better off.” She snarled back, a low feral growl sounding from her when she was grabbed, hazel eyes filled with fury staring back up at him. “Saving me then doesn’t make up for tossing me into a cell. Go use that hero complex on someone who cares. And if you want grateful Russel, go find some human whore who will tell you anything you want and leave me alone. I’m not your daughter, I’m not your mentee, I’m just someone you betrayed and pretend to care for. Who wants nothing to do with you. Don’t you get that?”
He had wasted enough time arguing with her over the years, it almost wasn’t worth it to waste words anymore. “Excuses are all you have. I had hoped that you would have realized by now that your actions have consequences. In your mind everything happens to you, and you have no responsibility and no agency.” The snarl that left her did little to scare him. “I’m not done with you yet. I guess I’ll have to train you myself it seems.” He dragged her to the basement by her throat, tossing her on the ground and locking the door behind them. “It’s been a while since you were last here wasn’t it? You were so spoiled with your last master.”

“Dude I’m exhausted. This clean up shit sucks.” Thalia announced as she sank down on the grass next to Selene. Any slave or traitor had been ordered around, forced to clean up the rebels mess since the attack ended. One would think that it would just take a few days as they were a large number of hands at work, but since they all had nothing but human strength, it was taking forever. And while the hard labor was a good way to get a sound portion of sleep as their bodies were all drained at the end of the day, it meant you had no energy for anything else. “How was your shift?” she asked her friend and fellow wolf, hoping that maybe she wasn’t as beat as Thalia felt herself.

“Look its just a damn water bottle man.” Thalia could not help but argue. At some point a guard had decided to stand in front of the grocery store and tell off any slave or traitor that came to get something to drink. The guy was all too high on his little power trip and she was getting really sick of it. Why did some men have to be such assholes? Scratch that, so far all men she had met were assholes.. big, stupid and selfish. Made you just want to shake them all, yet not all men were that easy to pick up and treat like the ragdoll they deserved to be treated ass. Especially when being douches like this one was. “Listen, I’m not here to hurt anyone, but I swear to god that if you don’t give me water for these people-” she gestured to the three worn down humans behind her. “-I will throw your ass trough that wall? got it?” The sight of a raven haired woman walking up made Thalia sigh softly. Based on her appearance, she was pretty sure this one was a superior. “Let me guess, the super can have water?” she ironically asked, shaking her head.

It was a normal day at the shelter, not overly busy but customers coming now and then in an easy pace. Thalia had always loved it. She might not be the biggest people person at all times, or very good at customer service by the book, but she was a fairly decent improviser, and she thrived on getting a challenge. Filing some papers she went back to Lorenzo’s office to place them in the right folder before stopping by the pets. Some of the cats often hissed at her, making her that much more determined to win their trust and affection.
By the time she got back out, she was uncertain just how long she had been gone, thus setting up a somewhat apologetic face to the person standing at the counter waiting. “Sorry, have you been waiting long? I just had to check with some of our cats. How may I help you today?”

Each time she tested her paw at the boundary, it wouldn’t go trough. Thalia had never been the most patient of people, and her patience was indeed running out. Especially as it seemed a bit pointless, to keep standing at the edge and hoping that it suddenly would break. Raising her head and howling in a mix of anger and defeat, the white wolf barred her teeth one more time before turning away. Her feet moved slowly across the forrest ground, a gentle padding. Not expecting anyone, Thalia allowed herself to zone out a little, think back to easier, simpler times. Running with her pack. Laughing with her friends. Traveling to different cities with her mentor. Life had been a tad easier back then.
Suddenly there was a sense of someone else there. Another wolf. Focusing on the present, Thalia scoured the woods, waiting. Out between the trees another wolf came. Another white wolf. A rather large one at that. Unsure what to do, Thalia stilled, her tail low but stiff.

Thalia didn’t spend too much time in the city centre on account of how it often got her either rented or in some kind of trouble. She had spent a lot of time claimed, which had left her more at ease, less guarded and with a sharper toungue than most found acceptable. However, she’d been feeling a little cooped up lately so she was out and about. Strolling down main, she stopped in front of the bakery, admiring their display. She loved cakes, but it had been a while since she’d gotten to taste one. Noticing a guy coming up the street, she turned, leaning against the display window. “You’re not in the mood for cake by any chance?” she asked, giving him a wry smile.

THALIA WHITE is a 28 year old BISEXUAL, FEMALE, SHE/HER, here in Firebrand City. People say they look a lot like SHELLEY HENNIG. They are COMPASSIONATE & HUMOROUS but can be FURIOUS & STUBBORN. They are a WEREWOLF TRAITOR in Firebrand and they work THE FRONT DESK AT OFF THE CHAIN ANIMAL SHELTER. (SIRIUS, 29, SHE/HER, GMT+1)
biography ;
thalia grew up in a rather large pack, and she never really felt out of place. pack life suited her from a young age, and she quite liked being only with her own kind, learning about the wolves that had come before her and the customs her pack still practiced.
her mother died in childbirth and thalia never knew her.
when thalia was seven years old her grandfather was felled by human hunters and the experience and how angry and grief stricken her father was afterwards taught thalia to heavily dislike and distrust humans. they were no good. capable of too much destruction without seeming to care who they hurt.
her father let his anger and need for revenge drive him, leaving the pack and taking thalia with him to hunt the humans responsible. one evening he told thalia to stay in the cave they were holing up in, and he never returned. to this day she isn’t sure what happened.
after about five days roaming the woods and only able to fend for herself because of hunting skills her pack had taught her to survive in human form, another wolf found her, wanting to take care of her. as young as she was, thalia accepted, seeing that she had no other choice and wouldn’t survive without a pack.
russel became something in between a surrogate father and a mentor to her, taking her along with him on his travels yet introducing her to his pack where she could be with other wolves.
in her teens thalia experimented a lot sexually and realized she was attracted to and capable of falling in love with both men and women. it was a rush and she was more happy to have found out than struggling with what her sexuality might mean going forward.
when the war begun, thalia’s pack engaged, but declared that the young wolves and pups were to stay behind as the adults fought. while thalia didn’t agree with the decision she wouldn’t cross her alpha, so she stayed put.
her best friend though felt restless and she could tell that without the guidance of his parents or the rest of the pack, he was about to make some stupid mistakes. so she tried to stay close to him, give him support and advice.
that was until she found out he was aiding humans by hiding them and giving them safe passage across the packs territory. she pleaded with him to stop, to confess to their elders what he had done once the war was over. if he stopped right away, they might be lenient.
but he refused, convinced that killing humans was unfair, wanting a world where it was possible to co-exist. though thalia told him time and time again what a pipe dream that was. how it wasn’t possible with all the crimes humanity was responsible for.
yet he had also fallen in love with a human girl who was helping him with the operation, and as hard as she tried, thalia couldn’t help but like her. actually she wondered more than once if she didn’t just like her but was falling for her.
taking pity on her new friend, and seeing how desperate her best friend was to make this work, thalia agreed to help, though without promising she wouldn’t turn them in eventually. for a good while she acted as a spy for them, checking in with their pack to make sure they weren’t returning, moving about the territory and spying on other supernaturals that were patrolling borders or the territory as a whole.
when russel and the rest of the pack returned to move them all to one of the newly established cities as the war was won, he quickly discovered what thalia and her best friends had been up to. thalia had just the week before told her best friend that she could no longer participate and that he had a week to tell their alpha what he had done. instead russel turned them both in, and when her best friend was accused and asked to confess, thalia expected him to accept that it was over. that he had been caught. but instead he told a different story.. one pinning the whole idea and drive behind it on her.
while thalia protested and tried to explain, the alpha was too angry with them both to listen, not to mention russel was insisting she be sent to a city called firebrand. they both were, though once there thalia did her best to avoid both her former best friend, and her once mentor. she wanted nothing to do with either of them.
at first thalia fought every single person she came into contact with. the guards, the superiors, the other prisoners. she was so angry and bitter at what her best friend had done, and how she was paying for crimes that weren’t even hers.
which might be what drew him to her. the male who after a few encounters, decided to claim her and make himself her master. unlike the others he didn’t respond with anger or torture when she raged. he just sat quietly, watching her. though at the first sign of exhaustion or weakness from her, he exploited that.
while thalia never fully submitted to him, they fell into a sort of routine that she learned to live with. he wasn’t big on sharing, so she didn’t see much of the outside world, though he did bring her whenever he had to leave the city for business.
and then the day came when he apparently couldn’t bring her along anymore. she wasn’t given much of an explanation, just told that he would be away for a long while and as a result he had to put her back in the cells.
that was about two years ago. as disorienting as it was returning to the cells, thalia did so with less anger in her. as long as she’s left alone or not antagonized of course, she doesn’t lash out.
one of her greatest joys with returning to the gutters was that she could resume working for the animal shelter. she’s in charge of the front desk, though she often slips back to play and pet the animals. their nature is familiar and comforting to her.

Thalia disliked being rented out as much as anyone, though it was a while since she’d been sent out for a house call. That was what most of the slaves and traitors called it when they were summoned to someone’s home by one of the guards, told to walk straight there or else.. There was always an ‘or else..’ though. It simply came with being owned by the city. They had license to do whatever they liked, whenever they liked. Truth be told, Thalia was having one of those days where she was well past caring. When you spent long enough here, everything blurred together. Today, she didn’t have the energy to be bitter or sad or mad about having to do anyone’s bidding. Coming to a stop at what she hoped was the right address, she knocked on the door, waiting patiently.
