you can all blame @narasnooze for the insanity that is this upcoming modern verse, wherein Hidan is a serial killer who suffers from severe delusions of grandeur (with religious undertones that are a complete fabrication of his funny lil brain), has completely lost his marbles, and taunts the police into an insane cat-and-mouse game. basically stuck in his ritual form 23/6 (with breaks for normal functioning.) tl;dr he's mortal, there's no jashin, many people still get stabbed and die in ritualistic-like fashion.
