"I think I've been poisoned." Ryat moaned as he sat on the other side of Ariya. A cup in hand, full of something that was supposedly supposed to ease his stomach. He brought it to his lips and took a sip, but immediately gagged at the taste. "That taste like shit." He hissed, looking up at his friend, "You sure this is supposed to help? Or are you just trying to finish the job?" He joked, arching his brow.

"Dude, when fall hits, I will miss the beach. I've gotten spoiled since I moved here early in the summer." Soren told her friend with a small laugh. She had actually spent most of her weekends at the beach, even by herself, often times reading a book or going for a run. Season depression was going to hit her really hard. "So, any updates on the hot doctor?"

So if I bought some butter chicken from the Indian truck and some cheese pizza from the pizza truck, would you want to try them together? It's too much food just for me. And I saw a Tiktok saying that the combination is crazy.

WHO. @ariyacl WHERE. ariya's office
"Sorry for the delay." She hadn't bothered to knock. Something about that text from Ariya had a worrisome feeling growing within her. Even urgent cases hadn't warranted a message like the one she'd received that day, and it seemed as though every force in the hospital was attempting to hold her back from arriving to Ariya's office in a timely manner. "The e.r. is fucked today. You have no idea the sights I've seen. And if this is about that case for the patient with jaundice I'm waiting on the lab reports. Unless you have something new? Is that what you wanted to see me about? Or do you just desperately want my company?"

“When I said that I like the way salt water makes my waves turn out,” Ruhi began, pulling at the strands of her hair which, to be fair, did look quite nice. “I didn’t mean I wanted to be completely submerged in the ocean.” She might have had a number of talents that she showcased growing up and competing in pageants, but balancing on a surf board had not been one of them. Which was why while Ari had looked absolutely graceful surfing the waves, Ruhi had gotten nothing but absolutely soaked.

CLOSED STARTER
LOCATION: Her house TIME: Thursday evening FOR: @ariyacl
Something caught her eye when she looked at Ariya - the way her friend's face went from its usual glow to ghost-white in seconds. Zuri moved fast. She'd seen enough sick kids back in foster care to know when something wasn't right. "Ari baby girl, you're burning up," she said, touching her friend's forehead with gentle fingers. The heat coming off her skin made her frown. "Lay down, girl.” She took Ariya's arm, leading her to the couch while grabbing the soft blue throw blanket from the armchair. After helping her friend to lay down, she asked, “Why didn't you tell me you're not feeling good? We could have postponed, sweetheart."

There was a time when he would never think to continuously throw his hand against a sandbag. Back when his hands were his most treasured asset, allowing him to play music and pursue the one thing that he was naturally talented at. He’d guarded his hands with his life in many ways, and in the end it was the mistake of another that cost him. Now, without the same limitations, he threw punches in swift succession, peeking at the woman beside him who he’d brought along for a change of pace. “You’re a natural. Did you say that you’ve done this before?”

As she saw Aria approaching, a wide smile spread across Nina's face. “Hey! Look at you, all relaxed and not buried in charts! It’s been ages!” Pulling them into a tight hug, she smiled feeling the comfort of that familiar embrace. “I’ve missed you! Life’s been a whirlwind since returning back in town, but I’m glad we finally found some time. Nina was looking forward to having lunch with her old friend. "How’s the hospital been treating you?”

closed starter @ariyacl, @emberleon, @pearcecallahan
location: poseidon bistro
Irza made his way to the table at Poseidon's Bistro, his hand entwined with Ember’s. He flashed a smile at Pearce and the woman next to him, figuring she was Ariya. "Pearce, it's great to see you," he said, reaching out to give his best friend a hug. "And you must be Ariya. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He shook Ariya’s hand before nodding towards Ember. "This is Ember, my girlfriend." The words felt weird but exciting coming out of his mouth. "Ember, this is Pearce, the ying to my yang, and his girlfriend Ariya." He pulled out his girlfriend’s chair before sitting down himself, his eyes sticking to her a bit longer than usual. “How’s your evening going so far?”
Ariya Chakri-Langley "I'm nervous," Ari confessed as she waited for Irza and his girlfriend to arrive. "I know Irza is your best friend, but I'm not exactly known for making great first impressions." When Irza showed up with Ember in tow, she sat up straighter. "It's nice to meet you too, Irza," she said, shaking his hand before turning her attention to Ember. "Actually, Ember and I have already met.” Clearly the woman found a date after that disaster of a tinder date. “It’s great to see you again, Ember.” She gave the other a hug, her eyes twinkling. Once they were all seated, she picked up her menu, smiling at Irza’s question. “It’s going far better now that I’m no longer nervous to meet Pearce’s best friend.”
Ember León. meeting irza’s best friend, she felt, put a lot of pressure on her. Everyone in his life knew about their rivalry and she felt as though that was the impression that she managed to leave. Ember wanted to show everyone that wasn’t her and that certainly wasn’t how she felt about irza anymore. Things between them were so much more. She waved at the two of them, her eyes landing on ariya and thankful that she seemed to know the other woman. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you.” She spoke, giving them a small wave before she ultimately sat down in the seat her boyfriend pulled out for her.
Pearce Callahan. he squeezed her hand as she spoke and shook his head, giving her a small kiss against her temple. “Nothing to be nervous about. I’ve made sure that Irza knows just how much I care about you and he’ll just be happy to know that you make me as happy as you do.” Before he could say much more, his best friend approached him and he patted him on the back, a smile on his face. “Hey, man. I’m glad you too made it.” He gave ember a small nod, “the infamous ember. It’s nice to finally meet you. Though, I never thought the two of you would end up like that.” He confessed with a small chuckle before pulling his own girlfriend’s chair out for her. He joined her moments later and chuckled once more, “irza is harmless, are you?”
Ariya Chakri-Langley "I'll hold you to that," Ari said, giving her boyfriend a small smile. She turned her attention to Ember, her curiosity piqued. "So, Ember, how did you and Irza end up together? Last time we met, things seemed… different." She raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in her voice. She found herself wondering about the sudden change in dynamics between the duo. Last she'd heard, they were political rivals, not lovebirds. The whole situation seemed like something out of a soap opera, especially considering the recent chaos in Wilmington. Weird time to find love. Not that she was judging. It wasn’t her place to do that. As the waiter approached to take their orders, Ari glanced at the menu once more. "I was thinking lobster. Any recommendations?" she asked, looking around the table.
Irza Özer He laughed at Pearce's comment, his eyes crinkling as he glanced at Ember. The mix of affection and amusement in his gaze was hard to miss. Damn, if someone had told him a year ago he'd be sitting here with Ember as his girlfriend, he would've laughed his ass off. But here they were, and he couldn't be happier about it. "Well, life has a way of surprising us, doesn't it?" he said. When Ariya asked about their relationship, he cleared his throat, trying to find the right words. "It's been quite a journey," he admitted, his voice going soft. "We've known each other for years, but recent events made us see each other in a different light." When food came up, he perked right up. "The lobster here is excellent. Though I'm partial to their sea bass myself. What about you, Ember?"
Ember León. her questioned didn't exactly catch her off guard. she expected to be questioned, especially since she'd been stood up by a guy whose name she couldn't remember now. all of that seemed irrelevant now that she had irza. "well, i deleted the dating apps," she started with a light laugh, "and yeah. i mean, like irza said, we just started seeing each other in a different light. after…you know, what happened, i started staying with irza and things changed." and she couldn't be happier. glancing down at the menu, she looked between her dinner company, "and you? was this the guy you were talking about back then?" at the mention of the food though, she looked back at her boyfriend. "i don't know. i love the grilled salmon but their sushi is to die for."
Pearce Callahan. "you can hold me to it." he reassured his girlfriend. pearce listened to the words coming from ember and he smiled a little. from the sounds of it, it seemed as though his friend's feelings for her started before all of that but he wasn't going to call him out. "regardless, it's good to see him so happy. i can't remember the last time i've seen someone on irza's arm." and he was sure the same could be said about him. he placed his hand on his girlfriend's knee in an innocent manner. "agreed. the lobster is good. i may get the shrimp carbonara."
Ariya Chakri-Langley Her eyes softened as she listened to Ember and Irza's explanation. She couldn't help but feel for them, considering everything that’s happened lately, she was happy that they were able to find each other. "Life does have a way of bringing people together in unexpected ways," Ari said. When Ember flipped the question back at her, she felt her lips tug into a small smile. Her eyes met Pearce's and she placed her hand on top of his, giving it a squeeze. "Yes, this is the guy I was talking about back then," she admitted, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Turns out, sometimes the best things in life come to you when you’re not looking for it." Did she regret it? Absolutely not. "The lobster does sound tempting," she said, eyes darting over the menu again. "But Ember’s got me intrigued about the sushi now. Choices… Choices…"
Irza Özer A surge of warmth filled his chest as Ember explained their relationship—his eyes stayed glued to her face the entire time. When Pearce cracked the joke about seeing someone on his arm, he let out a bark of laughter. "What can I say? I've been busy," he shot back, though there was more truth to it than he let on. He’d been spending all his free time with her. As talk turned to food, he felt himself start to relax. This was nice—hanging out with friends, Ember by his side. It felt normal, a much-needed break from all the craziness of the past few weeks. "The sushi is excellent," Irza agreed, his hand finding Ember's under the table. "But Ari, if you're torn, why not get both? We could share a sushi platter as an appetizer." He glanced around, trying to gauge everyone's reactions. "What do you all think?"
Ember León. she could feel everyone's eyes on her as she spoke about how things developed between her and irza. ember couldn't help but smile at the realization of how good things were between them and all of this, this dinner, was exactly what she needed. after all, she had a hard time making an appearance in public settings after what she went through, especially alone. her smile widened as she spoke of the other and she couldn't believe how the two of them had managed to land themselves in relationships with a pair of best friends. "well, i'm glad things worked out for you guys." ember looked between everyone at the suggestion that fell from her boyfriend's lips, "i'm all for a sushi platter."
Pearce Callahan. he couldn't help but grin at his girlfriend, especially not once he knew that the other had talked about him beforehand. "i'm curious to know what was said." pearce teased and squeezed her knee. he was glad that they all managed to finally get together, even with all the craziness that had been going on. "busy with ember." he joked and then nodded in agreement as they spoke of getting a platter. "i'm game. you know, this is where ariya and i had our first date. we shared oysters though." and they flirted the entire time. he knew he should behave in front of their friends though. "which, were also good, by the way."
Ariya Chakri-Langley Her cheeks flushed as she remembered the conversation she held with Ember and what happened after her first date with Pearce. She squeezed his hand under the table, a small smile playing on her lips. "Only good things, I assure you," Ari said, her eyes twinkling. "Though I did tell her I ghosted you." She nodded at Irza's suggestion of sharing a sushi platter. "That sounds perfect. We can have a bit of everything that way." Her gaze softened as she looked at the couple across from her, happy to see them so content despite recent events. She honestly wouldn't know what would happen if someone tried to kidnap her. "I'm glad we could all get together like this. It's nice to have a moment of normalcy with everything that's been happening in town lately."
Irza Özer Surrounded by friends and with Ember by his side, he couldn't help but smile at the scene before him and just like him, his best friend was equally happy. His thumb absently stroked the back of Ember's hand under the table as they spoke. At the mention of the recent events in town, a shadow briefly crossed his face. The attempted kidnapping of Ember was still fresh in his mind, and he instinctively tightened his grip on her hand. "It's definitely challenging, to say the least. But it's all in the past now." He looked at Ember, bringing her hand to his lips. "And why it's important to hold onto the good things in life." He cleared his throat, not wanting to get too sentimental. "So, sushi platter it is then? And Pearce, buddy, I think we need to hear more about these oysters. Sounds like quite the first date."
Ember León. she didn't know what she was so nervous about because despite how things had started off between the two of them, things were good now and his best friend seemed to be happy for him. pearce's opinion meant a lot to her, especially since she knew that he meant a lot to her boyfriend. "she did say good things, you know, besides the ghosting part. that is something that i can confirm." she reassured and used her free hand to bring the class of water provided to her lips. once she set it down, she looked over at irza and smiled at him in an affectionate manner. "exactly. let's put the bad stuff in the past."
Pearce Callahan. Pearce: to see the way that the two of them looked at each other was reassuring. all he wanted for irza at the end of the day for for him to be happy. looking at ariya, he couldn't help but chuckle. "well, you did ghost me until we managed to run into each other at our mailboxes." which, he was thankful about. if he hadn't managed to run into her, there's no telling if they'd be where they were now. "i'm glad we all managed to get together too. i've been bugging irza about it for a couple of weeks. i was eager to let him meet my girl." he spoke and smiled over at his girlfriend. "as for the oysters, we enjoyed them here. you know, as people do on a first date. very good. i can't say we didn't flirt the entire time though." he chuckled.
Ariya Chakri-Langley Ari turned to Pearce and gasped, "I did not ghost you. I was busy working…" She pouted, her eyes narrowing at her boyfriend. Truly, she had been working. She shook her head, her long dark hair swaying with the movement. "But I guess fate had other plans for us, didn't it?" When it was meant to be, she supposed… "I'm glad we're all here too," she agreed with a nod. "It's nice to have this." She gestured vaguely at the table. As the waiter approached with their sushi platter, her eyes widened at the colorful array of rolls and sashimi. "This looks amazing," she said, already reaching for her chopsticks. She picked up a piece of tuna sashimi, dipping it lightly in soy sauce before popping it into her mouth. The flavors exploded on her tongue, and she let out a small, appreciative moan. "Oh, this is definitely better than oysters," she teased, winking at Pearce.
Irza Özer Irza chuckled, his eyes crinkling in the corners as he looked at Pearce. "Oof… I remembered that. He was sweating," he said, pulling his best friend’s leg. "But honestly, I've not seen him like this, so I can assure you, he's serious about you." The least he could do was back up the guy after giving him a hard time. Then he turned his attention to the sushi platter that had just arrived. The colorful array of rolls and sashimi looked absolutely mouthwatering. He picked up his chopsticks, selecting a piece of salmon nigiri for Ember. "Open up," he said, holding it up to her lips. He then chose a spicy tuna roll for himself, taking a bite. "Mmm… this is fantastic," he murmured, his free hand finding Ember's under the table again. “You can never go wrong with this place.”
Ember León. she, too, was glad that she could go out with people whose company she enjoyed. It truly got her mind off of everything else which, she really enjoyed. Ember giggled softly at the other couple and then shifted in almost an excited manner as the sushi was sat down in front of them. As soon as they’d agree to come here, she had been looking forward to all of this. Before she could grab herself a piece, Irza was offering the one she would have grabbed for herself in her direction. Smiling at the man, she opened her mouth and took it in, nodding in agreement to what he said next. “Exactly. I think it has to be my go to. Besides tasty treats, of course. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for.”
Pearce Callahan. he couldn’t help but to chuckle at the look his girlfriend flashed in his direction. “Working to avoid me.” He joked and squeezed her knee before leaning over to place a kiss on her temple. Things did happen when they were supposed to and he was thankful for that much. His smile turned almost shy as Irza mentioned how happy he was, because well, he was and it was all thanks to ariya. “Hey, the oysters were good too.” He argued and took a piece of sushi for himself before nodding in approval after taking a bite. “Who chose the place again? Whoever it was, I’m glad you did.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley Ariya rolled her eyes playfully at Pearce. "Whatever you say. I know the truth." She picked up another piece of sushi, this time a dragon roll, and took another bite. She swallowed and took a sip of her drink before speaking again. Her gaze shifted to Ember, curiosity and concern evident in her eyes. She couldn't help but wonder how the woman was coping, especially given her close call. The attempted kidnapping must have been terrifying. "How are you holding up, after everything?" The kidnappings around Wilmington was becoming alarming. "Are you still going into the office? I imagine it must be challenging to balance everything right now." She hoped her questions weren't too intrusive—she simply wanted to understand how Ember was coping with the recent events.
Irza Özer “I'm sure you enjoyed the oysters," he teased his best friend, laughter bubbling over. "I chose the restaurant. You can thank me any time now." Irza winked at Pearce before turning his attention back to the table. Ariya's question, he gave Ember’s hand a gentle squeeze under the table. His own smile faded a bit as concern etched itself onto his features. The recent events in Wilmington had been weighing heavily on his mind, especially given Ember's close call. He watched her carefully, but this was not his story to tell. As he waited for his girlfriend to respond, he picked up another piece of sushi, though his appetite somewhat diminished by the turn in conversation.
Pearce Callahan. “your truth, huh?” He teased. their banter, to him, was amusing and he was sure that their company wasn’t at all bothered by it. Not when they seemed to have a little back and forth of their own. He could almost feel the other pair tense at his girlfriend’s question. He knew that she was asking out of concern though and he assumed that that the other two were aware of that. Despite knowing how hard it was on ember, he was thankful that Irza was there for her. In his opinion, there was no one better to be by her side. His fingers shifting under the table and intertwined with ariya’s as he nodded along to the other’s words.
Ember León. the question shouldn’t have thrown her off guard but it did. Everyone was curious to know how she was holding up and well, if she were being honest, she was just putting on a brave face for the most part. All of this had been entirely too much for her. She was just lucky she had Irza to lean on. “I’m okay.” She breathed out. Which, for the most part, was true. “I’m going into the office here and there. I don’t go in every day. They’ve been understanding about it all. I’m lucky in regards to that and I really don’t know what I’d do without irza. He’s been great during this whole thing.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley "Did I stutter?" Ari asked, throwing him a wink. But as she shifted her attention back to Ember, her expression softened. She could practically feel the tension rolling off the other woman in waves. "I'm glad you have a support system," she said, as her eyes bounced between Ember and Irza. "And it's good that your workplace is being understanding. These aren't easy times." Her fingers tightened around Pearce's under the table. With all the crazy stuff going down in Wilmington lately, she found herself grateful for these moments of normalcy. "And if you ever need a change of scenery, you could always join me for trivia night. I’m as competitive as they come." she added, flashing a smile to the other.
Irza Özer His heart clenched while he listened to Ember, but he kept his fingers twined with hers to show her support. "You never have to say that. Your safety is important to me." Irza's voice was soft but firm, his eyes locked on Ember's face. He cleared his throat, addressing the table. "We're doing everything we can to get to the bottom of these incidents. The police are working around the clock." He paused, his gaze sweeping across their concerned faces. "But let's not let this overshadow our evening. We're here to enjoy each other's company, right?" He forced a smile, trying to lighten the mood. "And trivia night? I might have to stop by sometime—I've got a wealth of useless knowledge that's just begging to be put to use."
Pearce Callahan. her tongue was something he enjoyed. she didn't often hold back and even though the two of them were only messing around, he couldn't help but enjoy the back and forth, and the words that managed to slip out of her mouth. as irza spoke about how the police had been working, he nodded. he knew how hard all of this was, even without ember being involved. as mayor, he took on a lot of the responsibility. "hey, we could make that another date night. a double date at trivia night." that was, if the girls wanted them to tag along.
Ember León. she didn't want to talk to much about it, especially since their night was supposed to be about having fun but she did enjoy letting both irza and their company know just how much she appreciated her boyfriend. she laid her head on irza's shoulder for just a moment in attempt to reassure him that she was okay after he squeezed her hand. "trivia night sounds fun. who said you boys were invited anyways?" she teased and picked up a piece of sushi was her chop sticks before offering it in irza's direction, a smile resting over her face.
Ariya Chakri-Langley Ari had a fun time with Ember the night they met, and having a night out sounded fun. She was about to make a retort when Ember beat her to it. She pursed her lips, concealing a smile before turning to her boyfriend. "Yeah, we never invited you. You boys are best friends, I'm sure you'll be fine for one night. Let Ember and I have our fun." She turned towards Ember and flashed her a wink. She couldn't help but chuckle at the boys' expressions. It was nice to see everyone relaxing, especially after the heavy conversation earlier. "But seriously, trivia night is a blast. We could make it a regular thing, just the two of us."
Irza Özer Irza gaped at Ember, looking like she just kicked him in the gut. "Hey, that's not nice, we like trivia too," he looked back at Pearce as if to ask for support, "Pearce is great with words, right, buddy?" He chuckled, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "And here I thought I was dating someone who appreciated my vast knowledge of useless facts." His eyes twinkled with amusement as he leaned in to accept the offered sushi from Ember's chopsticks. After savoring the bite, he continued, "But seriously, if you ladies want a girls' night out, who are we to stand in your way?" He squeezed Ember's hand, “Just promise me you both will be safe. In fact, I suggest you both carry a taser with you.”
Ember León. she’d honestly regretted not getting ariya’s number the night the two of them met since they did end up getting along so well and she needed more friends. Ember needed a best friend and she felt that now that they were dating best friends, maybe the two of them could be close too. She couldn’t help but laugh at her boyfriend’s response and shook her head at the man, “that’s right. You two will find something to while we have a girls night together.” She teased and smiled slightly at his mention of carrying protection. “Or, you two could always come pick us up. I don’t know about carrying a taser unless you really insist.”
Pearce Callahan. “I am good with words. I can’t believe you guys are excluding us!” He was very obviously messing around the two of them. He didn’t mind letting the girls out, especially if it meant the two of them were going to end up being friends. That ultimately made things easier for them too. “Cold, just cold.” He added in response to his girlfriend’s words. At irza’s words, he certainly wouldn’t hate it if his girlfriend had some sort of protection after everything that had happened around here lately. “We could pick you up, if that’s what you two want but that is up to you. I’d feel a lot better about everything if we could.”
Irza Özer Irza's eyes widened in mock offense, his hand dramatically clutching his chest. "I take offense. And all this after treating you like a queen all this time?" He let out an exaggerated sigh, pretending to be hurt. But in all seriousness, he was happy to see Ember connecting with Ariya. “Go have fun. Just don't forget about us poor, neglected boyfriends." He winked at his girlfriend, then glanced at Pearce. "Maybe we should plan our own guys' night out, show them we can have fun without them too." Turning back to Ember, his expression softened. "When you need me to you up, just say the word. I'll be there, anything for the woman I love." The words slipped out naturally before he could even stop himself.
Ariya Chakri-Langley She leaned in to press a kiss on Pearce's cheek, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I'll make it up to you. Promise," Ari murmured, teasingly. When she heard Irza's declaration of love, she melted a bit, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Look at you being sweet," she remarked. "You know what?" she said, addressing the group. "Maybe we could do both. Girls' night for trivia, and then you boys can pick us up after. That way, everyone wins." She paused, considering for a moment. "And speaking of protection, I have pepper spray. These days, I never leave the house without it. I could also buy a taser if it would make you all feel better."
Ember León. she couldn’t help but to roll her eyes at her boyfriend in a playful manner, “mm, you act like I haven’t given you the same special treatment. You can live without me for a couple of hours.” Though, she had to admit that being around him as much as she was helped her feel safe but she knew she couldn’t push everyone away. “Aw, I’ll give you attention when I get home.” She reassured and picked up her water to take a sip. She almost choked at the words that came from his lips and her head turned in his direction. No, he hadn’t said ‘I love you’ but it was pretty damn close and she swore her heart was melting. “Woman you love, hm?” She cooed softly.
Pearce Callahan. “I sure hope so.” And by the look in her eye, he had a feeling that he was certainly going to enjoy the way that she made it up to him. Then again, any time with ariya was a good time as far as he was concerned. “I think we can handle that. We can give our girls a night out, right?” He asked, pausing for a moment and then grinning at irza’s words. “Love, huh? I’ve never seen him like this.” He teased, his fingers playing with ariya’s. “As long as you feel safe then I’m okay with pepper spray. I’m just glad you have anything at all.”
Irza Özer He shook his head, his tongue clicking. "The insults keep coming," he tsked, feigning hurt. Realizing the slip of his tongue earlier, he decided to own up to it. His gaze softened as it met Ember's, his heart racing. "You are," he admitted, his voice tender. "I love you." He brought the back of her hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss against her skin. If they were alone, he would have pulled her onto his lap, but he was acutely aware of their company and the need for decorum. Still, he couldn't tear his eyes away from her, drinking in her reaction. The words felt right, natural, as if they'd been waiting to be said for a long time.
Ariya Chakri-Langley "Have I ever let you down before?" The question came with a brow arched. She smirked at Pearce, her eyes glinting with mischief. Then, as Irza's words sank in, Ari's expression softened. She watched the couple, her heart warming at the tender moment unfolding before her. God, what was happening to her? She was actually gushing over this display of affection. Turning to Pearce, she couldn't help but tease, "Are all you men this soft or just the two of you?" Her voice was light, but there was a hint of genuine curiosity in her tone. She squeezed Pearce's hand, her thumb tracing small circles on his skin. "I have to admit, it's kind of adorable," she added, her gaze flickering between Irza and Ember.
Ember León. she knew that if anyone could handle her, it was going to be Irza. He never let her quick comments push him away and that’s what further convinced the woman that he was the one for her. As he confessed his feelings for her, she couldn’t help but to melt. She never in her whole life thought that the man would be telling her that he loved her, especially in front of his best friend. “I love you too.” She breathed out, silently wishing she could be even closer to him in this morning but she just made a mental note to smother him with love once they got home.
Pearce Callahan. “of course not, my love.” Pearce responded and lifted her hand to his lips, pressing a small kiss against her skin. As Irza went on to confess his love for the woman seated next to him, he couldn’t help but grin. He wanted his best friend to be with someone who made him happy. “Mm, I think we’re just a couple of romantics is all.” He pointed out and leaned over to press a kiss against her temple. “It is pretty adorable. Irza, ember. I’m happy for you. All I ask is that you don’t hurt him. My man here is sensitive.” Not that it was a bad thing because really, Pearce was too.
Irza Özer A goofy grin spread across his face when Ember returned those three little words. His heart skipped a beat, and before he knew it, he was leaning in for a kiss. The world faded away for a moment, and when he finally pulled back, he blinked in surprise, remembering they weren't alone. Clearing his throat, he felt heat creeping up his neck as he turned to face their friends. "Sorry," he mumbled, still smiling like an idiot. "Where were we again?" He snorted at Pearce's jab about being sensitive. "I'm not that bad," he protested weakly, knowing his friend had a point. "And don't worry, I think we're past the point of trying to hurt each other," he added.
Ariya Chakri-Langley "I'm glad to hear that," While she'd gotten used to hearing the term of endearment, it still gave her butterflies whenever Pearce would utter those words. She watched as Irza and Ember shared a tender moment. Part of her felt like she was intruding on something private, while another part was happy Ember was just as happy. "You two are sickeningly sweet," she teased. "I think I might need an insulin shot after this dinner." Despite her words, there was a warmth in her eyes that betrayed her true feelings. She peered back at her boyfriend, and smiled as he kissed her temple. “I like sweet men, and I wouldn’t worry too much about them. They look like they’re crazy about each other.”
Ember León. her heart practically melted against him, lips moving in sync with his for just a moment. Never in a million years did she think that she would fall in love and with Irza of all people. As he pulled away, she couldn’t help but to giggle softly and attempt to hide the blush coating her own cheeks with the water she brought up to her lips. “You are a little sensitive but I don’t see anything wrong with it.” She replied and nudged him gently. “And I like sweet men too. I’ll never understand those girls that chase after guys that aren’t anything but jerks to them.” She didn’t have anything to worry about and neither did Pearce when it came to Irza. She was going to do anything and everything in her power to keep him in her life.
Pearce Callahan. as the other couple shared a kiss, he realized how well things seemed to be working out for both of them. Pearce was happy for all of them. “Aren’t they?” He teased and gazed over at his girlfriend. He felt the same way about Ariya. He loved her. God, he loved her and he hoped she knew just how much. “You’re a little sensitive, especially when it comes to your girlfriend but hey, nothing wrong with that.” He paused their conversation as the waitress came back with the dishes they’d previously decided on and smiled thankfully. Once the waitress was gone, he nodded. “They do. I hope that I look at you the same way Irza looks at her.”
Irza Özer If it were up to Irza, he would continue kissing Ember but they were having dinner with friends. He definitely would continue this later, though. "I take offense in that, I am not sensitive. I just happen to know how to treat my girlfriend." He corrected, playfully. He glanced at Ember, his eyes filled with love for her. "Besides, I think we can all agree that being a little sweet is better than being a jerk." He reached for his glass, taking a sip of water to cool his heated cheeks. The conversation had taken an unexpectedly sentimental turn, and while he wasn't usually one for public displays of affection, he found himself not minding it so much tonight. Maybe it was the company, or maybe it was just Ember's effect on him. Either way, he was enjoying himself more than he had in a long time.
Ariya Chakri-Langley From a young age, Ari had only known turmoil. Her parents fought until their eventual divorce. She'd blamed herself for it all. If she hadn't been sick, her parents wouldn't hate each other. It was why she couldn't bring herself to get close to anyone, but looking at the three people around her, it told her that she had always deserved love and she couldn't be more grateful to have found it with Pearce. "You do. I still have to get used to it, but I love you for it," she said, her eyes meeting Pearce's. She cleared her throat, realizing that things shouldn’t be this serious. "Who's ready to stuff their face with lobster?" she asked, reaching for her fork. "I swear, if this isn't the best damn lobster I've ever had, I'm going to write a scathing Yelp review."
Pearce Callahan. he could help but to chuckle at his best friend's words, "in more ways than one, am i right?" pearce joked, a laugh following his words and he shook his head at himself. he truthfully was only joking and he hoped that everyone else would see that too. he smiled over at his girlfriend as she spoke moments after that, "and i'm glad you do. you've never made me feel as though i've needed to change who i am." which, he was thankful about. as the food was place in front of them, he laughed, "then i'll make sure to share my pasta with you in order to save them from that yelp review." he teased.
Ember León. she desperately wanted to show him just how much she loved him but she restrained herself due to the fact that the two of them were out with friends. laughing at pearce's words, a red tint pinching at her cheeks. "that's something i can confirm." she joked along with his friend. ember was satisfied, especially when it came to her relationship. "the lobster is good but i've been seriously craving their grilled salmon. i do hope that i helped steer you in the right direction though. i'd hate for them to end up with that review." she finished with a light laugh.
Irza Özer Irza felt his cheeks burn as Pearce's joke hit home. He couldn't help but grin, though he tried to play it cool. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said to Pearce before turning to Ember and whispering, "Don't listen to him." His eyes widened in mock betrayal when Ember chimed in. "You're actually going to agree with him?" He shook his head, chuckling. "I see how it is. Ganging up on the mayor, huh?" He winked at his girlfriend, glad she was getting along with Pearce. The conversation flowed easily, and he found himself relaxing more than he had in ages. As talk turned to food, he couldn't resist adding, "The salmon is pretty amazing. But I'd bet good money Ariya's lobster will knock her socks off."
Ariya Chakri-Langley She didn't add on when they were teasing Irza. It was cute to see the mayor be teased. It wasn't everyday you'd get to see that. Turning her attention to Pearce, she beamed. "You don't have to. If you tried to change, I might get really mad and we already know you wouldn't want to see that." She winked playfully, her heart swelling with affection. Glancing at Ember, she grinned. "I'm holding you personally responsible if this lobster disappoints. No pressure." As she dug into her meal. Damn, if that lobster wasn't making her taste buds do a happy dance. “Oh my god, this is delicious. You all should try it.”
Ember León. she couldn't help the laughter than managed to slip from her lips as the other spoke. she was only trying to get along with his friend and well, she assumed that if anyone should pipe in and give irza a hard time, besides pearce of course, it would be her. "if we don't pick on you, who will?" ember cooed in a playful tone. she was ultimately thankful that things seemed to be going so well. she'd been a little afraid that pearce wouldn't like her due to the past nature of her relationship with irza. "i have no doubt about that. i don't think i've had anything bad in this restaurant and i doubt i ever will."
Pearce Callahan. laughing along with his best friend's girlfriend, he was happy that they all managed to get along. at the end of the day, he just wanted him to be happy and he assumed that irza wanted the same thing for him. "i wouldn't, at all. i don't like upset ariya. i've only seen her once but i can't say that was my favorite." he confessed. he took a bite of his own food and paused to look over at his girlfriend, a smile resting over his face. "see, now you're more than happy that she led you in the right direction. i'd definitely love to have a bite myself."
Irza Özer He let out a hearty laugh at Ember's jab. His eyes crinkled at the corners. Warmth washed over him as he realized how well she was fitting in with his friends. "Alright, alright," Irza said, grinning from ear to ear. "I guess someone's gotta keep me in check. Can't have all this power going to my head, right?" He took a bite of his dinner, enjoying the explosion of flavors in his mouth. Poseidon's Bistro never failed to impress, and tonight was no different. As he looked around the table at his friends, contentment settled over him. It felt good to just kick back and enjoy a meal with people he cared about, far away from all the usual drama. Swallowing his food, he asked, "So, what's the plan after we're done here? Anyone up for a walk on the beach, or should we do something else?"
Ariya Chakri-Langley "Good. Then don't change," Ari winked at Pearce. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she savored another bite of her lobster. Tonight was turning out to be better than she expected. Good company and even better food. The easy banter and laughter made her heart swell. “There you go bragging.” She shook her head before offering a bite for Pearce. As Irza brought up plans for after dinner, she mulled over her decision—torn between the desire to keep the night going and the temptation of a quiet evening with Pearce. "I could go for a walk, but it all depends on what you both want to do. I'm sure you want some time to have fun too," she wiggled her brows, “what with the I love yous and all. It’s a special night.”
Ember León. moments like this were ones she wanted to live in forever. Ember was so thankful that their night seemed to be going as well as it was, especially when she had previously felt so much pressure when it came to being unsure about how Pearce would feel about her. She focused on her food for a moment and glanced up at the other pair, a laugh leaving her lips as ariya spoke. She wasn’t exactly wrong. She definitely wanted to show irza just how much she loved him. “I say let’s see how we feel after we eat. We may be too full for a walk.”
Pearce Callahan. he had no plans on changing, not when the woman he loved was happy with the way he was and truthfully, he liked where he was at right now too. He lifted his shoulders up in a shrug, not particularly picky about what the four of them got into. “Ariya has a point. I’m surprised you’re even offering and not planning on taking off after dinner.” He teased. Despite the banter, he was ultimately happy for them. Everything really seemed to be falling into place for all of them. “I say we follow ember’s lead. Let’s see how we feel after all of this food.”
Irza Özer He chuckled at Ariya's comment, his eyes flicking to Ember. He should have known someone was going to bring up the point that they might want to be alone since he’d just told his girlfriend he loved her. Of course he wanted to, but they lived together. Plus, he didn’t want to be so obvious. "You've got a point there," he admitted. "But, we're here to celebrate friendship too, right?" He sipped his drink, savoring the cool liquid. "That's probably wise," he agreed with Ember. "We wouldn't want to end up rolling down the beach instead of walking, I’d like to add, regardless of what we end up doing after dinner, I'm just glad we're all here together," he said. "It's not often we get to just… be, you know? No work, just good food and even better company."
Ariya Chakri-Langley Ari nodded, a hint of a smile playing on her lips as she listened to Irza. She figured the two would want to get into the bedroom ASAP, but she supposed she was wrong Her eyes swept over the table, taking in the relaxed faces of her companions. She lingered on Pearce for a moment, grateful for his presence. "Play it by ear, I guess," she said, raising her glass slightly. "Here's to good food, great company, and a night away from all the chaos.—So," she set her glass down after taking a sip before leaning forward, "while we're enjoying this moment of peace, any exciting plans coming up for either of you? Besides the obvious lovey-dovey stuff, of course.” They ended up going on their separate ways that night, but the dinner felt like a success. Some parts were unexpected, however sometimes, unexpected things made for a good night.

location: ari's house
The drive was spent with them chatting, while Ari tried to keep her hands to herself. The last thing she wanted was them to end up wrecking. Once they got back to her place, she led him into her house, their hands still intertwined. Without a word, she tugged him towards her bedroom. As they crossed the threshold, she turned to face him, her eyes dark with desire. She reached for the zipper of her dress, slowly pulling it down. The fabric slipped off her shoulders, pooling at her feet. She stepped closer, placing her hands on his chest and gently pushing him onto the bed.
In one fluid motion, she straddled him, her weight settling comfortably on his lap. Her fingers traced the line of his jaw before tangling in his hair, pulling him closer. “I want you so much.” Their lips met in a searing kiss, hungry and demanding. As they kissed, her hands moved to the buttons of his shirt, deftly undoing them one by one. She could feel the heat of his skin beneath her fingertips, the rapid rise and fall of his chest.
Pearce Callahan.
pearce couldn't help but smile as she led him into her home. it was no surprise that she wasted no time, especially since the two of them had been flirting the entire dinner. pearce's eyes never left her, even as they entered her bedroom and he couldn't help but to let out a moan at the sight of her. he was more than positive that he was never going to get tired of the sight of her. he allowed her to push him back onto the bed and took in a deep breath. he still couldn't believe she was his.
once she was on top of his, his hands found her curves and he ran his hands over the exposed skin. "i'm yours baby girl." he breathed out before she connected their lips. his tongue slipped into her mouth, enjoying the feeling of being this close to her again. he felt her hit the last button of his shirt and he shrugged it off of his shoulders before lifted her up by her thighs and switching their position so that he was on top of her. "i've been patient," he started, "but i can't wait to fucking taste you again." he added, his fingers looping the band of her panties and pulling them down her legs, his lips trailing down to position himself where he wanted to be most.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
As his hands roamed her curves, her heart race, igniting her arousal. 'I'm yours, baby girl,' those words made her want him even more. She kissed him deeply, savoring his taste. A gasp escaped when he flipped her onto her back, the sudden change had her biting on her bottom lip. Her breath hitched as he trailed kisses down her body, each touch leaving heat on her skin. She was already wet, and aching for him. As soon as his mouth met her pussy, she moaned, "Fuck, baby. Feels good."
Her fingers gripped his hair as she rode his mouth, hips moving with his tongue. Her mind clouded with desire, all thoughts fading. There was only him and the incredible sensations he elicited. She couldn't remember feeling so wanted, so desired. "God, Pearce," she gasped, back arching. "Don't stop. Please, don't stop." Her grip tightened as she neared the edge. She was completely his, unable to care about anything else. She was completely his, unable to care about anything else. The world outside this room ceased to exist, and for once, she allowed herself to be fully present in the moment.
Pearce Callahan.
he wanted to treat her. Pearce wanted to show the girl just how much he wanted her and that’s why he didn’t hesitate to take control. His tongue slid over her in one eager swipe, moaning at the taste. It was something he’d never forgotten and he was sure it was something that he would never get tired of.
His tongue continued against his soaked core, tongue focused on both sucking and licking her clit. The way she moaned for him only turned him on more and he could feel his cock straining against his jeans. His hand clutched her thigh and he held her legs open as his tongue continued against her, alternating its movements until she ultimately hit her high, which is exactly what he wanted. But even as she did, he didn’t stop his ministrations against her pussy and instead, allowed his tongue to keep going as it lapped up her cum.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her body shook as his tongue worked its magic. She had missed this - his touch, his taste, the way he made her feel like she was the only woman in the world. "Oh god, Pearce," she moaned, her fingers tangling in his hair as she rode out the aftershocks of her orgasm. Her pussy clenched around his tongue, sending jolts of electricity through her body. She saw stars, screaming his name as she came undone beneath him. She lay there catching her breath, then pulled him up for a deep kiss. Tasting herself on him sparked new desire.
"Fuck me," she whispered, voice thick with need. "I need you inside me now." Her hands roamed his body hungrily before she rested on his cock—stroking him. Looking into his eyes, Ariya felt something stir in her chest. God, she was falling for this man. She should have known it was happening, even before they slept together. Now, there was no way to stop it and she didn’t want to stop it.
Pearce Callahan.
he felt her let go against his tongue and he loved the way she moaned his name. Her noises of pleasure made his cock ache with need, especially once she practically screamed his name. He really didn’t even want to pull away but did as she pulled him up toward her lips. His lips met hers in a hungry kiss, his hand cupping the side of her face and his chest pressing into hers. There was something about feeling her skin again his own that he really enjoyed.
He nodded his head, his nose nudging against hers. “Yes ma’am.” He breathed out. his hand slipped over her curves and landed on the outside of her thigh, his hand lifting her leg up to push deep inside of her. A low moan left his lips, “fuck, you feel so good.” He grunted, his hips moving at a steady pace as his fingers dug slightly into her skin.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ari already knew she'd never get tired of this. He was great for her, keeping her calm, and damn, the sex was amazing. When he entered her, she hissed in pleasure, her back arching on its own, nipples brushing against his chest. “Baby fuck," she moaned, gripping his shoulders. "You feel incredible." She moved her hips to match his thrusts, getting into the perfect rhythm. The tension inside her was building again, like a pressure cooker ready to explode.
Their lips crashed together in a hot kiss, tongues tangling as they moved as one. She pulled back, panting, and locked eyes with him. The way he looked at her made her heart go crazy. "Harder," she demanded, her voice rough with want. "I need more of you." She wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him in deeper with each thrust. The room was filled with the sounds of them going at it—skin slapping, and heavy breathing.
Pearce Callahan.
he absolutely loved the feeling of her body pressed against his. Pearce dipped his head down and caught one of her nipples in his mouth, his tongue flicking over it. “Mm,” he started and shifted over to her other breast as their hips moved in sync. His lips pressed hot kisses against her skin, trailing up toward her lips and kissing her back.
He eventually pulled away to catch his breath, his dark eyes meetings her as he did exactly what she said and slammed his hips into hers, “fuck, that what you want baby?” He breathed out, his hand squeezing the outside of her thigh. “Fuck, ariya,” he breathed, his tongue poking out to tease her top lip. “Mm, I want everyone to know you’re mine.” He cooed, his lips moving back down toward her neck and nipping at a patch of skin.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
With each thrust and flick of his tongue on her nipple, she grew wetter, her pussy clenching around his cock tightly. She might've had sex before, but nothing like this. It was like he knew exactly what she wanted without her having to say a word. When his mouth hit that sweet spot on her neck, she tilted her head, giving him better access. "Mark me. I'm yours," Ari whispered, her nails digging into his back as he pounded into her. His lips on her skin sent shivers through her, and she couldn't hold back her moans.
Her head was spinning, consumed by the guy on top of her. The way he moved, touched her—it blew her mind. She wanted more, needed to be completely wrapped up in him. "Yes, baby, just like that," she gasped—her hips met his thrust for thrust. The pressure was building, and she knew she was close. Her hands roamed his back, feeling the muscles work. Her heart raced from the intensity of it all. The room blurred around her. All she could focus on was on the pleasure he was bringing her.
Pearce Callahan.
he was doing anything and everything that he possible could to pleasure the woman under him. Her pleasure certainly came before his own but his was an added benefit. “All. Fucking. Mine.” He grunted, speaking each word between each rough thrust of his lips.
Once he was satisfied with the mark he left on her neck, he pulled back slightly to look at her face. Nothing turned him on more than the look of ecstasy on her face. His hand slid over her curves and between their bodies, his long fingers finding her clit. “Come on, baby. I wanna hear you scream my name again.” He panted.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
She'd never realized how much she craved belonging to someone until that moment. The usually chill guy's possessiveness lit a fire in her she'd never felt before. His words hit her like a freight train, sending tingles all over. The sting on her neck from his lips marked her as his. "All yours," Ari mumbled. Everything else faded away, leaving just them and the mind-blowing sensations.
When he found that sweet spot—his fingers rubbing her clit—her back came off the bed. She was right there, about to lose it. His command pushed her over the edge and yet again, his name tumbled free. "Pearce!" Her nails dug into his back as she rode out her orgasm, her inner walls clenching tightly around him. She gasped for air, her heart pounding in her chest. Never before had she experienced such intense, all-consuming pleasure. It was as if Pearce had unlocked something within her, a primal need she didn't even know existed.
Pearce Callahan.
when he liked someone, he really liked them and he didn’t want to lose them. That person being Ariya and he could definitely already feel himself falling for her. “That’s right, baby girl,” he spoke in a husky tone. “All mine.” He added. He knew that that women may be turned off by the fact that he was so possessive but she wasn’t and he was grateful for that because he wasn’t at all good at sharing. After all, that’s what caused his first marriage to end.
As her body came off the bed, he couldn’t help but smirk because that meant that what he was doing was exactly what his lover liked in this moment. The sound of her screaming his name for the second time that night had shot a jolt of electricity and excitement through his body. “Mm, I love when you scream my name like that,” he grunted in her ear, “gonna make me fucking cum.” He added breathlessly. It wasn’t just the moan that sent grin over the edge but also the way her pussy clenched around him. With a few more sloppy thrusts, he spilled inside of her and tilted his head back as he focused on just how good all this was. It seemed as though the more the two of them were together, the better it got and he couldn’t wait to keep this going with her.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Goosebumps rose on her skin at his uttered words. Mine. It aroused her further. "All yours," she mumbled again, her brain foggy with lust. Her nails dug into his back as she rode out her orgasm, her inner walls clenching tightly around him. She gasped for air, her heart pounding in her chest. Never before had she experienced such intense, all-consuming pleasure. It was as if he'd unlocked something within her, a primal need she didn't even know existed.
As he grunted in her ear about loving her screams, she felt another wave of arousal hit her. His breathless admission that he was close only ramped up her own pleasure. She held on tight, her body still quivering from the aftershocks. When he finally reached his peak, spilling inside her with a few final, sloppy thrusts—a smaller orgasm rocked her. She watched him tilt his head back in ecstasy, liking how incredibly good it felt to be with him.
Pearce Callahan.
Pearce had a permanent need to feel his girlfriend against him, especially in a moment like this. He noticed the way her orgasm too over her and he still couldn’t bring it in himself to stop, he wanted to continue pleasuring her. He wanted her to be completely satisfied when it came to their life in the bedroom.
His face completely twisted in pleasure as he came inside of her, his body still pressed against hers. He panted as he slowly came down from his high and peered down at her, “that was so fucking good.” He breathed out and leaned down to capture her lips in a slow kiss, his hand coming up to cup her jaw as he poured every emotion he felt for her into this one motion. “You want more?” He mumbled against her lips, his lips trailing over her jaw.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ariya's breath came in ragged gasps as she basked in the afterglow. Her body tingled all over, still sensitive from the intense pleasure. She gazed up at Pearce, a smile on her lips. When he spoke, she nodded lazily. "Mmm," she hummed in satisfaction as he leaned down to kiss her. She returned the kiss passionately, cupping his jaw in return. Her own hands roamed his back, tracing the marks her nails had left earlier. The slow, deep kiss ignited a fresh wave of desire within her.
As his lips trailed along her jaw, sending shivers down her spine, her mind raced. His mumbled question about wanting more made her pulse quicken. She turned her head, capturing his lips in another heated kiss before pulling back slightly. "What do you think that answer is?" she whispered against his mouth—her hands slid down to his hips, pulling him closer.
Pearce Callahan.
he couldn’t help but smile down at her, his lips moving against hers. Pearce genuinely could see himself with this girl long term and this was really the happiest he’d been in a long time, even if it was a little scary to give his heart to someone like this. “Mm,” he paused, pecking her lips a couple of times, “have I ever told you how much I like you?”
He hummed against her lips as she pulled him in for a deep kiss, a smile on his face at her words. “I’d say that means you’re not done.” He teased and kissed her back, his hand resting on the side of her neck. “How do your legs feel, hm? Think you can ride me, babygirl?”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her eyes locked onto his, searching for any hint of insincerity, but found none. Ari bit her lower lip—a coy smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "I don’t believe you have, but just so we’re clear I like you too," she murmured, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on his skin. "More than I probably should." At his teasing remark about not being done, she let out a low chuckle. "You know me so well already," she mewled. His question about riding him left her smiling.
"My legs feel just fine," she replied, her voice husky with renewed arousal. "But why don't you flip us over and find out for yourself?" With that, she wrapped her legs around his waist, using her strength to roll them both over so that she was on top, straddling him. She leaned down, her lips barely brushing against his ear. "How’s that?" she whispered, nipping at his earlobe playfully.
Pearce Callahan.
the way he felt about her was one hundred percent genuine and he never wanted her to think that it wasn't. his face lit up at her words, his heart skipping a beat at the sound of her words. maybe it was a little ridiculous or cliche but he felt like a teenager all over again and it'd been so long since he felt anything like this. "oh? more than you should? why's that?" he teased.
smiling as she flipped the two of them over before he really even had a chance to do so, his hands smoothed over her curves and rested on the outside of her thighs. "perfect. i love seeing my girl on top of me." then again, he was pretty sure that he'd like her in any position. there was no doubt about that. his hands shifted once more, hands landing on her breast and allowing his thumbs to flick over her nipples. "why don't you show me how much you want more, hm?"
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ari gazed down at him, her long hair falling in a curtain around their faces. His question about why she liked him more than she should made her pause. She bit her lip, considering her response carefully. She didn’t want to make him feel bad. "Because I never get attached," she murmured. "And feeling scare me." She leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. "But I can't seem to stay away." With that, she deepened the kiss and she arched into his touch as his thumbs teased her sensitive nipples.
"Mmm… I'll show you exactly how much I want more," she purred. Slowly, she began to rock her hips against him, building a steady rhythm. Her hands splayed across his chest for balance as she moved. She leaned down, capturing his lips in a deep, passionate kiss. As she pulled back slightly, she whispered against his mouth, "Is this what you wanted to see, baby?"
Pearce Callahan.
he understood as she spoke because he certainly found himself a little afraid to fall for the woman in front of him as easily as he did. Pearce nodded his head in response to her words, “it’s been a while since I’ve allowed myself to get this close to someone but you’re proving to be worth it.” He added before she sealed their conversation with a kiss, his lips immediately moving against hers in response.
The fact that the two had yet to part just turned him on all over again. His eyes shifted from her face to her chest, watching as her breasts bounced as she moved on top of him. “Mm, you look so fucking good on top of me.” He muttered and reconnected their lips, his tongue moving into her mouth.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her body responded eagerly to his touch and words. Normally, she wouldn’t even care what a guy says about her. But this one seemed to have a way about him—especially when he told her she was worth getting close to. His compliment made her smile against his lips, and she met his tongue with her own, deepening the kiss with a soft moan. Her hips continued their steady rhythm, grinding against him with increasing urgency.
Breaking the kiss to catch her breath, Ariya leaned back slightly, giving Pearce an even better view of her body. Her hands trailed down his chest, nails lightly scraping his skin. "Fuck," she breathed, her voice husky with desire. "I can't get enough of you." She picked up the pace, her movements becoming more insistent as pleasure built within her. Ariya's eyes locked onto Pearce's, her gaze intense and filled with lust. She bit her lower lip, stifling a moan as she felt herself getting closer to the edge. "Tell me how much you want me."
Pearce Callahan.
pearce had no problem telling the girl on top of him how he felt about her, especially when he was so sure about how he felt for her. He moaned just to her mouth, his fingers tangling in the woman’s hair. His entire body filled with pleasure as her hips moved against his in an eager manner.
His hand fell from her hair and gripped her hips, his own moving against hers. He couldn’t help himself. “I’m yours, baby girl. All fucking yours.” He assured as his eyes met hers, his eyes focused on the way she looked as sped up the movement of her hips. His hand fell between her legs, thumb finding her clit as he rubbed slowly circles, “I want you so bad, ariya. I love the way you feel when you come undone around me. You feel so good.” He cooed. While he allowed her to be in control, he still couldn’t help but want to bring her to her job and so he did anything he could to do just that.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
She gasped as his words washed over her. His declaration was exactly what she needed to push her along. She leaned down, whispering huskily in his ear—nipping his earlobe. "That's right, all mine." His words turned her on even more, and she rode him harder. When his hand slipped onto her clit, she let out a soft moan. The circles he traced felt amazing, sending waves of pleasure through her. She arched her back, pressing against him harder. Their eyes locked, full of need.
"Fuck," she breathed, rolling her hips, loving how he filled her. Her hands roamed his hard chest, nails lightly scratching. She was getting close. His touch and words were pushing her to the edge. She bit her lip, trying to stay quiet, but failing. "I'm so close," she panted. "Don't stop." She tugged his hair gently, kissing him hard. The tension built inside her. She broke the kiss, throwing her head back. "I'm gonna come," she cried out.
Pearce Callahan.
he did what he could to take care of her. Pearce thrived off of ariya’s pleasure and the way she reacted to the way he touched her and felt inside of her. “Fuck.” He cursed as she pressed against him harder, his free hand resting on her hip and his fingers digging into her skin.
As she warned him about her high, he thrusted up against her in a rough manner. “Come on, baby. Let go.” He coaxed, his ministrations against her clit speeding up to help push her over the edge. He could feel the way her pussy began to clench around him and he couldn’t help but moan, his own cock aching for a release as she moved on top of him.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
She trembled with pleasure as Pearce's movements sent shockwaves straight down to her pussy. When he thrust up against her roughly, Ari cried out in ecstasy. His words of encouragement pushed her even closer to release. She clenched around him and her nails dug into his skin. The sensations were overwhelming and even if she wanted to, she couldn’t make herself stop. "Oh god, baby," she moaned. "I'm so close. Don't stop."
His fingers moved faster against her sensitive bud, and she teetered on the brink. The pressure built inside her. With a few more deep thrusts, she finally tumbled over the edge. "Pearce!" she cried out as her orgasm washed over her. Her body shuddered with pleasure, as stars exploded behind her eyelids. The release was intense, almost cathartic.

moaning out the way she did was something he was proving to get used to and he loved every sound that slipped from her kiss swollen lips. He could fell her nearing her high and he couldn’t have been more thankful that the two of them trusted each other enough not to use protection because he couldn’t help but love the way she felt around him without any barriers. He grunted as she cried out his name and moved hips his slowly, attempting the allow her to come down from her high but only for a few moments. He was beginning to crave a taste of her and so, without a second thought, he lifted her up and tugged her toward his face.
There was something g about the smell of her arousal and the way she was already a dripping mess that made him want her more. As he placed her in a position for him to taste her, he leaned up and wrapped his arms around her legs before allowing his tongue to dive into her wet pussy, an immediate moan leaving his lips at the taste of her.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ariya gasped as she came down from her intense orgasm, her body still trembling with aftershocks. She could barely process what was happening as Pearce suddenly lifted her up and repositioned her. Still seeing stars, she found herself straddling his face. The sudden change left her breathless and disoriented. "Baby, fuck..." she whimpered as his tongue delved into her sensitive flesh. Her thighs quivered around his head, her body oversensitive from her recent climax. Despite this, waves of renewed pleasure coursed through her as Pearce expertly worked his mouth against her.
Her fingers tangled in his hair, torn between pulling him closer and pushing him away from her overstimulated pussy. The conflicting sensations of pleasure and overstimulation left her panting and moaning incoherently. Her hips rocked involuntarily against his face, chasing the building tension once more. She bit her lip, trying to stifle her cries of ecstasy. The way he devoured her had her head fell back as another jolt of pleasure shot through her body. "Oh god," she gasped, "You're going to make me come again."
Pearce Callahan.
he was never going to get tired of the way her body trembled for him. He wanted more of just that and that’s why he moved her to his face. Of course, that wasn’t the only reason. Pearce craved the way her pussy tasted. He hummed against her sensitive core, his tongue lapping over her and taking in the sweet taste of her high. Pearce couldn’t help but smile at the way she was reacting to him, especially as he felt her thighs shaking on either side of his head.
His tongue shifted, going to circle against her clit. Despite knowing how sensitive and overstimulated she might be, he took the nub into his mouth and sucked after she warned that she was close. There was always a sense of both excitement and satisfaction that wanted over the man when he made his girlfriend come undone.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her body shook as his tongue worked its magic on her clit. She gasped and moaned—grabbing his hair tighter while waves of pleasure rolled along her body. It was too much and not enough all at once, making her head spin. When he zeroed in on her clit, she let out a sharp cry. Her hips moved on their own, pressing against his face as he sucked on the sensitive bud. It was all too intense for her overstimulated body to take.
"Pearce!" she cried out, squeezing his head between her thighs as another mind-blowing orgasm tore through her. Her whole body shook violently, her vision going spotty as the pleasure reached its peak. She struggled to breathe, overwhelmed by how intense it all felt. As the aftershocks died down, she fell forward, holding onto the headboard for dear life. Her chest heaved as she tried to catch her breath. She glanced down at him, her eyes heavy and a dazed smile on her face. "That was...incredible," she panted, though there was a smile on her lips. “I want to return the favor.”

if there was one thing that he loved, it was the feeling of her fingers in his hair when he was pleasuring her. On top of that, he couldn’t help but love the way she rode his face and he couldn’t help but moan against her wet core. He squeezed her thighs as she hit her high, his tongue helping her through it until he was sure she was fully satisfied.
He gazed up at her, his hands shifting her to sit on his stomach. “I’m glad I could do that for you. Have I ever told you how sexy you look when you’re coming undone?” He asked, hands rubbing over her sides. “If I haven’t, just so you know, that’s easily one of my favorite things to watch.” He announced before pulling her down for a kiss. “Yeah?” He mumbled against her lips. “I’m yours so do as you please.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
As she was trying to catch her breath, Ariya found herself repositioned on his stomach—still breathless from the intense orgasm. She leaned down, kissing him deeply and tasting herself on his lips. The kiss reignited her desire, sending tingles through her body. "Mmm," she hummed. "I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Maybe we should record it sometime," she teased, half-joking as her hands explored his chest. God, the man was hot. How was he even real? Nodding, she murmured, against his lips, "In that case,” another peck, “let me show you how well I can use my mouth."
She trailed kisses down his body, giving his abs extra attention as she traced them with her tongue. Stroking his length, she teased him a little before taking him into her mouth. She used every trick she knew, swirling her tongue and taking him deeper. Her eyes flicked up, watching his face contort with pleasure.
Pearce Callahan.
he could help but to cock an eyebrow in response to her words. “Yeah? I think I’d love seeing that on replay.” Especially when the two of them couldn’t be together but he wouldn’t ask that of her, even if the thought of it kind of excited him. He couldn’t help but to allow his hands to roam over her, even in this moment where the two of them were just talking in between rounds of whatever they decided to do next. He smirked as she spoke and kissed her back before she had a chance to fully pull away.
His eyes watched as she trailed down his body and he couldn’t help but to let out a moan as she touched him. His cock ached for her and he wanted nothing more than for the woman to pleasure him in this moment. “Mm, that’s right, babygirl. Just like that.” He breathed out, his hand coming to the back of her head and tangling in her hair. He couldn’t help but to tilt his head back, lips parted as she pleasured him and eyes closed as he focused on just how good this all felt. “Fuck,” he breathed out, his hips shifting slightly and thrusting into her mouth, “keep going baby. I’m so fucking close.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
She couldn't lie, it was satisfying to watch him react to what she was doing. The way he moaned and grabbed her hair only made her want to do more. Ari sucked harder, taking him deeper as she picked up the pace. Her eyes watered as the tip of him hit the back of her throat, but she stayed put and ran her hands roamed over his thighs, feeling how tense he was getting.
When he pushed into her mouth, she relaxed her throat further, determined to make him lose it. His words got her all worked up, and she hummed around his cock, adding to the fun. She glanced up, watching his face and the pleasure featured on it. She could tell he was close by how his body was reacting. She went all out, using every move she knew to push him over the edge. Her tongue ran along the underside of his length before she took him deep again, her hand pumping the base of him.
Pearce Callahan.
his toes practically curled into the bed, a moan leaving his lips as she only took him deeper. Ariya knew exactly what to do to both bring him closer to his high and drive him absolutely crazy. His fingers tightened in her hair, his eyes rolling back. He couldn’t believe how good this all was and it was only getting better with time. He couldn’t stop the strained moan that fell from his lips as he finally came undone, his load shooting into the back of her throat. “Fuck, arjya!”
This orgasm had him panting. His eyes were closed as he came done from it all and once he felt as though he was recovered, his hand reached out for her and smiled slightly. After pulling her up to place a sweet kiss on her lips, his arms resting around her waist. He loved being his close to her. “You’re amazing, baby. I still can’t believe you’re mine.” But he wasn’t going to give her up easily now. He cared entirely too much about her. His hand ran over her back, fingers tracing her spine. “I love being like this with you.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
When he came, Ariya swallowed, sucking until she got every drop. As his breathing steadied, she slowly made her way back up his body, placing soft kisses along the way. She melted in his kiss, her heart racing—though this time, it had nothing to do with her need for him. His strong arms around her waist made her feel safe and cherished. She nuzzled against his neck, breathing in his scent as her fingers traced lazy patterns on his chest.
"I know I am," she teased in response to his praise. "But so are you too." And she meant it—she had never experienced such mind-blowing intimacy before Pearce. Every touch, every kiss set her body on fire in the most delicious way. "I love being like this with you too," she murmured softly. "It feels so right, so perfect." Her thoughts wandered to how freaking lucky she was to have found him. This wasn't just about getting off—it was so much more. For once, she felt like someone really got her, appreciated all of her. It was a pretty awesome feeling, if she was being honest with herself.
Pearce Callahan.
he was in trouble. Pearce was in deep with the woman on top of him and he couldn’t help himself. With each passing moment, his feelings continued to grow stronger and stronger. His arms tightened around her waist and smiled against her lips. This relationship was something he’d been looking for, for a long time and now that he had it, he was going to do whatever he could to keep it.
He agreed with every word that managed to come out of her mouth. This did feel right. Nothing had ever been this good for him as far as love had gone. “Yeah,” he started and nudged his nose with hers, “this does feel pretty perfect.” He paused to steal another kiss, “when are you doing to let me take you out on another date?” He asked, his smile widening at his own question.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
This man was going to make her fall for him hard, and while she hated the idea before, she didn't care now. His arms around her felt like home, and she found herself smiling against his skin. When he asked about another date, she chuckled. "We just went on our first date and you want to go on a second one already?" She pressed a kiss on his lips, her eyes sparkling as she continued to tease him. "You sound so greedy."
But truth be told, she was just as eager as he was. The thought of spending more time with him made her happy. Happy. Who would have thought it was possible? She traced her fingers along his jawline, marveling at how right this all felt. "Well, if you're that desperate to see me again," she teased, "I suppose I could pencil you in. How about this Tuesday? I'm off call and could use some fun." It was crazy how quickly things had progressed between them, but for once in her life, she was letting herself just feel, without overthinking everything. And damn, did it feel good.
Pearce Callahan.
his body was so relaxed in her presence. Pearce really felt as though he could really let his guard down and be himself around her. He didn’t feel as though he had to hide anything for her and he was thankful for the relationship that was developing between the two of them. “Of course I do.” He replied without a moment of hesitation, his lips moving to kiss her back a moment later. “If wanting to send all my free time with my girl makes me greedy then so be it. I just want you with me.” He didn’t want to come off as clingy but he did want to be honest about the way he was feeling and what he wanted from her.
He loved the way her fingers traced over his skin and he couldn’t help but smile up at her in almost a lazy manner. After their night together, he was pretty tired but even so, he could lay here and talk to her all night. “Tuesday sounds amazing. I’ll come by and pick you up around lunch time? We could spend the day out together.” He suggested, fingers playing with her ends of her hair. “If you’d rather me pick you up at dinner time then I’m alright with that too. Just let me know what’s good for you, babygirl.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ariya kissed him deeper, aroused by how into her he seemed to be. Already she had a feeling he was going to be a huge part of her life. She could see them staying over a lot. "I can't say I have any complaints over there. I want to see you all the time too. I just hope you don't get annoyed when I have long shifts." Her heart fluttered at his words. This man was something else entirely. She loved how he called her his girl, how he wanted to spend all his free time with her. Because she was in the same boat.
"Lunch time sounds perfect," she murmured, rubbing her nose against his and pressing a kiss on his lips. "We could grab a bite, maybe take a walk on the beach?" The thought of spending an entire day with Pearce made her giddy with excitement. "And don't worry about my shifts, babe. I'm sure we can figure something out. Maybe I'll just have to sneak you into the on-call room for some... stress relief."
Pearce Callahan.
his heart was so full for her. Pearce almost forgot what it felt like to have someone this close to him and to care about someone in this way. Ariya was easily going to make him fall in love with her and as scary as that was, he wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else. “I won’t get annoyed. I know you have to work and I’m patient.” He reassured and leaned forward to lay a sweet peck on her lips.
He nodded at her suggestion. “I like the sound of that. Maybe, you know, we could do a picnic on the beach and then go for a walk afterwards. I could make us something good.” He still wanted to good for her as much as he could or to take care of her where he could. He just hoped that she would accept that sometimes. Chuckling, he smiled up at her. “Yeah? A quickie to make the shift go by faster and to help you relax? I could do that.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her heart raced as she melted in his arms. His understanding about her work touched her. She'd always struggled balancing her career and time with family, but this was different. Pearce was her boyfriend and he needed her time too. "A picnic on the beach sounds perfect," she murmured, kissing the crook of his neck. "I can't wait to see what culinary delights you come up with."
She smiled at the idea of quickies in the on-call room. "You're going to be trouble, aren't you?" Ari teased. "But I like it. I’ve never done that before. Could be a lot of fun." He would be here own McDreamy, or was it McSteamy? Probably more of a combination in her opinion. She moved to straddle his lap, leaning it to steal a kiss while grinding against him. “I was wondering which one will you be. McDreamy or McSteamy? I’m thinking you’re both.”
Pearce Callahan.
he was never going to hold something against her that wasn't her fault. pearce knew that she had to work and there was nothing he could do about that. he just assumed that she would make time for him wherever she could. he smiled as she agreed to his idea, "good. that's what i was hoping you'd say." he ran his hand over her back, enjoying the feeling of her smooth skin under his fingertips. "i'll make it something good. you don't have to worry about that."
"i might be. i don't want you to think that just because i'm older i'm boring. i'm far from that." he reassured. pearce knew that it could get him into some trouble but that seemed to be the least of his worries as long as he was going to be able to be with her. his arms wrapped around her waist as she straddled him, a lazy smile appearing on his lips as she ground against him. "mm, suppose that depends on the situation." he paused and flipped them over, "right now, i hope i'm mcsteamy." he added and leaned down to kiss her.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her heart raced as he flipped them over, her eyes darkening with desire. She loved his confidence and the way he took charge. She couldn’t be the only one who found him sexy, right? The feel of his body against hers was driving her wild. "Oh, you're definitely McSteamy right now," she purred, running her hands along his arms. "And I can't wait to see what other surprises you have in store."
His kiss left her breathless, and she responded eagerly—her tongue moving with his. When they broke apart, she smiled. "You know, I can understand why some women are after older men. They know exactly what they want and how to get it." Ariya rolled her eyes at his remark. "Do I look shallow to you? Trust me, it's not just your looks that have me hooked. It's everything about you—your mind, your heart, the way you make me feel. You're the whole package, babe." She traced his jaw lightly. "And right now, what I want is you. All of you."
Pearce Callahan.
there wasn’t anything he loved more than seeing the way she looked at him. Pearce cupped her cheek, his thumb running over his bottom lip. “You have no idea what I have in store for you from here on out.” And that didn’t just pertain to their sex life. He was going to treat her better than she’d ever been treated and he was going to make sure she was satisfied in every aspect of their relationship.
He let out a breathless chuckle as the two of them broke apart and nodded his head, “I do know exactly what I want and that’s you.” He wanted to make sure that she knew that too. He had every intention on making his feelings know. He smiled at her words, “all of me?” He teased softly and leaned down to peck her lips, his tip pressing against her entrance. “This too?” He breathed out.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her breath caught in her throat as she felt him pressing against her. She trembled, her skin heating up. Looking up at him, Ari saw the same hunger in his eyes that she felt. "Yes," she managed to get out. "Especially that."
She locked her legs around him, pulling him in close—her hands went exploring, feeling every hard muscle on his back. It hit her then how perfectly they fit together, like they were made for each other. Any worries she'd had about them dating flew right out the window. "I want all of you, baby," she whispered, her lips right by his ear. "I want to know everything about you, to be there for you like you've been there for me." None of the words were untrue. She could feel something growing between them, something great. While it scared the hell out of her, she was all in.
Pearce Callahan.
he was convinced that the two of them were missing puzzle pieces and now that they found each other, they were exactly where they needed to be. Pearce had been hoped to find someone to love at some point after his divorce and he was almost positive that ariya was going to be that one.
As she locked her legs around him, he pushed her into her and let out a soft groan. She felt incredible and he couldn’t get enough of how perfectly she hugged his cock. His free hand came up and cupped her cheek, eyes on the woman under him. “I’m completely yours, ariya. I’ll tell you anything you want to know.” He assured, his moving at a slow pace, one that he would describe as torture but he wanted to take his time with the woman.

Ariya Chakri-Langley
Ari let out a soft moan as he entered her, her body instinctively arching to meet his. A whirlwind of emotions hit her—desire, affection, and a touch of vulnerability. His words struck a chord deep within her, and she found herself wanting to bare her soul to him completely. The slow pace was driving her crazy in the best way, ratcheting up the tension inside her. "Pearce," she breathed, her voice rough with desire. "Harder." She rolled her hips, encouraging him to move. Her fingers wound through his hair as she pulled him down for a deep kiss.
When they came up for air, she gazed up at him, her eyes dark with want but also glimmering with something deeper. "I want to know everything about you too," she whispered. "Your hopes, your dreams, your fears. I want it all." A soft moan escaped her as he hit just the right spot. "But right now," she panted, "I just want you to fuck me." Her legs tightened around him, urging him deeper.
Pearce Callahan.
he couldn’t help but moan as her body reacted to him. The way they fit together and the chemistry the two of them had together was undeniable and honestly something she didn’t want to end. He nodded slightly, lips meeting hers in a deep kiss and moaned softly into her mouth, his hips pulling back slightly before shifting forward and slamming his hips into hers, groaning against her lips as he did so.
Panting, he nodded in response once more. He knew that he couldn’t actually hold a conversation right now as far as the deep stuff went and he wanted nothing more than to give her exactly what she wanted. “Yes, ma’am.” He breathed and shifted his hand down to her hip, his hand grasping her skin as he did what she said and continued to slam his hips against hers.
Ariya Chakri-Langley
Her breath caught as he moved against her, her pussy clenching around his cock. His touches aroused her and she could feel herself coming close to the next orgasm. Her eyelids popped up to look at him, seeing the mix of care and desire in his eyes. Pulling him closer, she kissed him, hungrily. Her fingers traced his back as she got lost in the moment. The slow pace was driving her crazy in the best way.
When they broke apart, both were breathless. Ariya smiled, her heart full. She realized how happy she felt with him. Her worries faded away in his arms. For once, she felt truly safe and understood. Pushing the thoughts to the side, she rolled her hips and felt more of her arousal spilling free—especially when the tip of him hit her sweet spot. "Baby, fuck…" she murmured, eyes locked on his. "I’m so close."
Pearce Callahan.
his face twisted in pleasure, lips parted and eyes full of lust as he gazed down at the woman under him. Pearce couldn’t help but note how beautiful she was in moments like these and he loved being the cause of those sweet moans that managed to escape her lips. He kissed her back, tongue slipping into her mouth and tangling with hers.
He let out a heavy breath, hips continuing to move in a rough manner against hers. As she warned the man that she was close, he did anything he could to bring her over the edge. His thrusts sped up, hand moving between the two of them to rub at her sensitive bud. “Come on, baby,” he breathed, “let go for me. I want to feel you cum around me.”
Ariya Chakri-Langley
As the sensations intensified, Ari buried her face in Pearce's neck. "Oh god, Pearce," she moaned as she came undone. Her body trembled as waves of pleasure washed over her. Stars bursting before her eyes. She clung to him until her body went slack "Mmm… I could get used to this," she whispered, pressing a kiss to his lips before snuggling up to him.
When was the last time she’d felt like this? Cherished and womanly. Not ever. She was a practical woman and had never cared to stick around after sex. For once, her usual walls came down completely—feeling utterly content. Her eyelids grew heavy as exhaustion set in. She traced lazy patterns on his chest and mumbled, "That was incredible. But I think I need a quick nap if we're going to continue this later." She yawned and added with a sleepy smile, "Wake me up in a bit?"
Pearce Callahan.
it didn’t take long for his own high to follow, especially with the way she shook against him and moaned his name. His hips jerked against hers as he finished instead of her and then kissed her back. This was the live. He couldn’t remember a time where he was so happy with someone. It had certainly been a while, that’s for sure.
He shifted next to her to lay down, his arms pulling his girlfriend against his chest and his lips pressing a kiss against the top of her head. Chuckling at her words, he nodded slightly. “I think we both need the rest.” He agreed, his eyes closing a moment later. Waking up to her was something he was certainly looking forward to and he just hoped that he wouldn’t wake up only to realize that this was all a dream.

Taking her phone back, Kimberly saved Ariya's contact before texting her a simple message: 'hello this is kimberly', so that she could note down her number as well. She looked forward to the lessons and is honestly going in with an open mind. If it didn't work out in her favour, then at least she tried. "A good sign is that I haven't permanently left, so this place has been warming up to me and balancing out that homesickness." If her time at Wilmington wasn't the greatest, then she would have opted for a different place, perhaps country. However, fate made her settle and so far, she didn't feel the need to change that.
"You know, if you somehow end up leaving the medical field, you should think about being in sales or an influencer because your reviews are top tier." mused Kimberly with a light hearted laugh. "Funny enough, I have not been to that zoo. So judging by this description and sheer enthusiasm, it is definitely a must see and on my list." Shrugging, the assistant wasn't too sure if she had explored it like she should and so Kimmie replied with, "Probably not...Honestly I've been sticking to places that I'm comfortable with and know. Although work does have a habit of taking me to spots in Wilmington that I've never been to before."
She handed the phone back, her mind already racing with excitement about teaching someone to surf. "Summer's perfect for learning—warm water, chill waves. You'll love it!" Did she sound like a crazed surfer? Yup. But whatever it took to get someone to love the sport, she supposed. "I'm glad to hear that at least. I wouldn't want you to feel so homesick, you know?" The question about must-visit spots in Wilmington made her pause. She bit her lip, considering. There were so many places she loved, but one stood out. "Okay, you absolutely have to hit up the zoo in Masonboro. It's wild—pun totally intended."
Her eyes lit up as she continued, "It's like… stepping into a whole other world. They've got this Rainforest Realm where monkeys swing right over your head. And don't even get me started on the African Savanna. You'll swear you're on a legit safari. But it's not just gawking at animals. You can feed parakeets—which is way more fun than it sounds—or pet goats if you're into that." A chuckle escaped her. "Plus, they're big on conservation and education. So you leave feeling all smart and stuff." Curiosity got the better of her. "Have you explored much of Wilmington yet? 'Cause I've got a mental list of awesome spots a mile long."

Biography
Ariya Ireshi Chakri-Langley was born on February 14, 1993 in Wilmington, North Carolina to a Thai mother, Sirikit Chakri, and Caucasian American father, William Langley. From the moment she entered the world, she brought immense joy to her parents' lives. However, their happiness was short-lived when at the tender age of seven, Ariya suffered a devastating heart attack that would forever change the course of her life. The heart attacks became a recurring nightmare for young Ariya and her family. They were forced to uproot their lives, moving from hospital to hospital in search of answers and a proper diagnosis. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the true cause of her condition remained elusive. It wasn't until she was admitted to Johns Hopkins Children's Center at age eleven that doctors finally discovered the root of her suffering: Kawasaki Disease. By the time of her diagnosis, the damage to her heart was irreparable. At thirteen, she underwent a life-saving heart transplant surgery. While Ariya was immensely grateful for this second chance at life, the ordeal had taken a heavy toll on her family. The stress and strain of her illness led to her parents' divorce—leaving them embittered and resentful towards one another.
While her personal life was in turmoil, she somehow found purpose and direction. She resolved to pursue a career in medicine, specifically as a Diagnostician, dedicating herself to preventing others from enduring the same hardships she had faced. After returning to Wilmington, she enrolled in school. For the very first time in her thirteen short years, there was a semblance of normalcy in her life. Rightly so, Science became her favorite subject. She wasn’t very well liked in school—mainly due to her sharp tongue and not mincing words. After graduating with honors, she was accepted into the pre-med program at Duke University. There, she immersed herself in her studies. Her hard work and dedication paid off when she was admitted to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine—the very institution that had saved her life years earlier.
During her time at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, she had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Amelia Stern—a renowned diagnostician known for her no-nonsense approach. Dr. Stern's reputation preceded her, while she was initially intimidated by her mentor's stern demeanor, as they worked together, she began to appreciate Dr. Stern's unwavering commitment to excellence and her ability to cut through the noise to focus on the core issues of each case. Under Dr. Stern's guidance, she honed her diagnostic skills and learned to trust her instincts, a lesson that would serve her well throughout her career. After completing her medical training, Ariya began her journey as a diagnostician at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She then spent a year at the Cleveland Clinic and a brief stint at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center exposed her to a diverse range of cases. However, at the age of 30, Ariya felt a strong pull to return to her roots and decided to bring her expertise back to her hometown. She now practices at Mercy General.

Ariya Ireshi Chakri-Langley was born on Valentine’s day to a Thai mother and American father. She suffered from heart attacks starting at age 7. After years of misdiagnosis, she was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease at 11 and received a heart transplant at 13. Her illness and parents' divorce fueled her resolve to become a diagnostician—so no one would suffer the same fate. She attended Johns Hopkins, where her mentor Dr. Amelia Stern helped to hone her skills. After working in Boston, Cleveland, and San Francisco, she returned to her Wilmington roots last year to practice at Mercy General.
