ezra is brought to the head manager’s office early in the morning, separated from the group before their dance practice. once inside, he can immediately see kim hyuncheol standing behind his desk with a very stern expression. “you may close the door behind you and sit down.” he says in surprisingly fluent english. he gestures towards a chair on the other side of the desk facing his own. “i gave my speech in korean last time, so let me speak to you in english to make sure you understand every single word i’m about to say.”

“i don’t know how you do things where you’re from and quite honestly, it doesn’t concern me. you signed a contract with a korean company, so you must follow our rules. you’ve barely spent three months here and yet show blatant disregard for both our trainees and staff members. there have been several reports of you being hungover on company grounds and picking a fight with cha nayeon in the middle of practice, which many found very distasteful. now, since we don’t have actual proof of you being hungover and since the fight with nayeon-ssi seems to be a one time thing, i’m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. you better believe, however, that from now on and until our suspicions are cleared, we will watch you very, very closely.” does he understand the trouble he’s in yet? hyuncheol doubts it. mistakes are possible but with ezra they just seem to be piling up.

“which brings me to the main event. i’m absolutely ashamed by the way you behaved during your pre-concert interview. i couldn’t believe my ears when i reviewed it with other managers. honestly, at this point, i wonder if you even want to be here. you could be the most talented of your batch and i couldn’t care any less if your personality doesn’t drastically improve. you treated our precious staff member with disrespect during your interview, not to mention our managers by suggesting they treat you with bias. this, young man, is a behavior we do not tolerate in this company. we wouldn’t have tolerated it from bae siwoo himself, so what have you accomplished so far in your life that makes you think you have the right to speak in that tone and treat this great opportunity as a joke? you’ve been here since july, ezra. if you think you’ve been treated unfairly by a staff member, you come to me. but i’d suggest you take a look at yourself before doing that, because you haven’t been very pleasant since your arrival. they’re not here to cater to your every whim.”

he takes a pause, gathering his thoughts and letting ezra take all of the information in. he might be harsh, but the more they let it pass and the more he feels entitled to act that way thinking there won’t be any repercussions.

“prove us that we didn’t make a mistake choosing you. it’s clear that we’ve seen something in you. but so far you’re not letting it show. if you’re going through hardships you need to let us know instead of acting up like this.” there’s no doubt a lot of anger and frustration in this young man, but if he keeps it to himself there’s just so much any of them can do about it.

“now on to your punishment, because i don’t have all day.” he hands ezra a calendar for the month of october. “that is your new schedule for this month. as you can see, you will not be joining regular practice with the other trainees. i believe you aren’t worthy of that privilege at the moment. because yes, it is a privilege whethere you treat your presence here as one or not. i’m not encouraging you to leave, ezra. in fact, i’d love for you to stay and grow. more precisely, grow up, as you mentioned you failed to do in your interview.” maybe ezra won’t believe him right now. maybe he will think they’re out to get him, that they want to kick him out. while they could have, hyuncheol doesn’t want to. he firmly believes in second chances, but it can only happen if ezra plays by the rules. “you will be on service duty instead of training. i hear you’ve been neglecting your mandatory chores, it’s a great opportunity for you to learn a lesson. it’s only natural that we clean up after ourselves. even idols still do it when they use practice rooms. it’s called having respect for your work environment and the maintenance staff who are not here to be your personal servants. you’re of course banned from appearing on the instagram account. we don’t reward bad behavior here at legacy.”

he explains the schedule in more details ( can be found in the ooc note below ), indicating in passage that ezra might receive phone calls or visits at random times during the day to ensure he is exactly where he is supposed to be . he is not to miss any day of duty or take part in any trainee activity or opportunity taking place during the month. “if you build our trust in you again, and take this punishment seriously, we will reassess your situation during the last week of october. this isn’t permanent, ezra, and we wouldn’t be doing this if we didn’t feel it’s necessary.”

once the discussion is over he goes to the door, opening it for ezra. “your future is up to you. if you truly want to be a part of this team, you know what you have to do. now go on, you have a lot to do.”

        of course, he’s in trouble.

        why wouldn’t he be, considering all the things he’s done?  things that hyuncheol has delightfully listed out to him, as if ezra’s been blissfully ignorant of his wrongdoings.

        no, he knows he’s done wrong.  he knows there were better ways to approach each and every situation, but what’s the point in trying if no one expects that out of him?

        he scoffs when hyuncheol brings up the interview.  purses his lips.  folds his arms across his chest as he stares blankly at the head manager.

        of course, hyuncheol is ashamed of his behavior.  how’s that any different from the shame his parents felt raising him to be prim and proper, a son they could be proud of, only to be repaid with a shredded degree, holes in walls, and an empty bed for weeks at a time?  

        truth is, there’s not much of a difference.

        he’s been called to the dinner table, to his father’s office, to his mother’s desk.  each time, they would ask him to close the door.  sit down.  and like hyuncheol, they would proceed to list everything he’s done wrong.  and every time he’d shift to the edge of his seat, his shoulders bent forward, lips parting to make his case—he’d be silenced.  forced to bite his tongue, forced to retreat back into the chair.  hyuncheol should thank his parents for disciplining him, for keeping him seated, small, submissive.

        ‘what have you accomplished so far in your life that makes you think you have the right to speak in that tone?’

        nothing.

        it doesn’t come from a place of arrogance, though he wishes it does.  no, it comes from accomplishing nothing.  he doesn’t have what his sisters have.  he doesn’t have their charisma, their perseverance, their familial connection.  they’re brilliant, successful, good.  and the stronger the light beams on them, raising them to that pedestal they deserve to be on, the farther into the shadow he seeps.

        his parents were thrilled to have a son—someone to carry on the family name—but he’s sure now that they’re thinking it’s better if the line ends with them.

        that doesn’t bother him.

        it’s old news.

        they don’t see anything in him anymore, and they’ve made that perfectly clear by keeping radio silent for the past few months.

        and now, here’s hyuncheol saying that they see something in him.  these are words that he has always wanted to hear—but they don’t sit right.  not in this tone, not in this context.

        the burden of proof is on him.  usually, it is.  and usually, he fucks it up.  sometimes they’re simple human mistakes, but these simple human mistakes end up weighing more ‘cause people have the tendency to look for the bad.  it’s what they’re used to seeing in him.  it’s comfortable, easier to process.

        so if they see him this way regardless, again, what’s the point?

        he peers down at the calendar presented before him.  chores.  punishment.  as if any of this is going to change the perception people have of him.

        “public humiliation seems to run in the company,”  he comments, remembering his first interaction with yang joshua.  "good thing i don’t have much shame.“

        he folds up the piece of paper, tucks it into his pocket, and rises to his feet.  as he approaches the door, his gaze levels with hyuncheol’s own.

        ”see you on friday,“  he says, this time in korean.

OOC NOTE:

ezra has been put on probation for the month of october. the reasons are stated in the prompt but if you have any question regarding any part of this prompt, feel free to message us. this of course does not reflect our feelings towards ezra ooc, but there are ic rules that all trainees must follow if they wish to stay in the company for the long run. he will not take part in any training with a coach during the month of october, but he may use empty practice rooms after his work shifts (and is strongly encouraged to do so so he won’t fall behind his peers).

he can’t participate in any activity taking place in october for the time being, which includes the monthly sns post for october. he will be met by kim hyuncheol again in the last week of october to assess how his month has been and of course, if ezra wishes, reinstate him into training with the others. once he joins training again, while he might be observed a little more closely for a while, please know that he will not be held back from participating in activities again and will not be treated any differently than his peers.

below is his schedule for october

monday: serve food at the cafeteria (8am to 5pm)

tuesday: clean bathrooms and locker rooms (8am to 5pm)

wednesday: run errands for managers (8am to 5pm)

thursday: clean floors and practice room mirrors (3pm to 12am)

friday: study korean in hyuncheol’s office with random testing (8am to 5pm)

saturday: sit and do nothing in dorm under manager supervision (8am to 5pm)

sunday: sit and do nothing in hyuncheol’s office under his supervision (8am to 12pm)

if you wish, you can also write one solo of 300 words minimum about any part of his schedule written above to gain +5 korean and a greater chance of being back on kim hyuncheol’s good side at the end of the month. of course, he will still need to be on his best behavior at all times. make sure to submit the link to your solo to lgcmanager before adding your points. while not writing anything won’t impact him negatively, it won’t impact him positively either.  again, if you have any question or worry, please message us. we can help you figure out which activity he can take part in if you’re unsure!

how far i’ll go 💫

161111  |  After your audition piece, the panel members begin to discuss the main points of your performance. Their voices are way too soft, preventing you from getting a clue on what they are talking about. They take a few more minutes to share notes with each other before their attention shifts back to you. Once all of them return to their respective seats, the male instructor sitting on the left of Baek Jiyoung speaks up.

“It was obvious that you were nervous at the beginning of the performance,” he begins. “It’s understandable, but it’s also very important to remember that idols should know how to contain that energy as soon as you stand in front of your audience.”

Another instructor raises the pencil trapped between her fingers to add her own opinion. “I personally noticed how you were going back and forth between extending your emotions towards the audience, and then singing like you are in your own world.” She then smiles at you and continues, “To me, there was a little bit of inconsistency, though I am confident you will be able to smoothen it out with more experience.”

All of them soon get up from their chairs and head out of the room. Baek Jiyoung, however, stops in front of you for a few words. “We have all agreed that we saw something better compared to the last time you were on the MGAs. With that said, I expect that you’re ready to see further improvement with us at Sphere.” The CEO then holds out the envelope in her hand that contains your contract, and flashes a warm smile. “If you have questions, the receptionist will be happy to assist you, alright? Congratulations, Jinwook-sshi.”

jinwook used to lie out for hours at night, watching the movement of the stars across the sky. these were some of the only times when he actually felt comfortable being alone - when he had the stars for company. they shone brightly enough that sometimes, it felt like he could just reach up and grab one, and pull it down to earth, and let it grant his most impossible wishes. all of his dreams felt within reach sometimes, right there on the outskirts of his grandmother’s village.

you can’t see the stars in seoul, though. since he left jeju, jinwook’s learned to seek them out himself. they’re not in the sky, here; he’s discovered them hidden among everyone else. they’re blown up to a hundred times life-size and plastered on the sides of buildings; they’re slinking through side streets, bright hair concealed beneath baseball caps and face masks. they’re fresh-faced trainees handing out flyers on the corner at lunchtime. jinwook’s met a few stars himself; he’s stood eye to eye with the ceo of nova entertainment and felt his intensity even from meters away.

there’s a star right in front of him now, the fairest of them all — jinwook’s heart stops as baek jiyoung approaches, and he wonders if that envelope in her hand means he could be one of them, one day.

her words flow like honey, taking a few moments to seep in. only then, the paper burns bright between his fingertips, and this is how stars are born, thinks jinwook. the pressure gets too hot and too dense that it explodes beyond his heart and past his chest, igniting a fire in him that shoots lightning through his veins.

he bounces on his toes with energy and the audition room swells with stunned laughter, his excitement too much to contain in even the widest of smiles.

left alone, jinwook takes a seat near the end of the panel ( not baek jiyoung’s - talk about sacrilege ). he scrawls his name across the first signature line in sight, so quickly that the ink almost smudges as he skims to find the next blank.

documenting such information is probably against contract, but he takes a picture of each page to send to his father later. it’s a compromise — jinwook’s never been a student who could do readings all the way through in one sitting, but he can’t bear to wait on this opportunity either. maybe part of him fears that if he leaves the building before committing, baek jiyoung will change her mind about him. ( besides, it probably contains all the same clauses as the nova contract, and he had studied that one ad nauseum. )

after each page is initialed, jinwook squats with his camera app still open and sets the side of his phone level on the table: an angled, artsy shot of his signature, crisp black on white with sphere’s letterhead in soft focus above it. though he won’t be able to use the photo for anything public, it’s a little keepsake for a moment worth savoring.

he switches apps and repeats the shot, this time in snapchat, captioned with exclamation points and a wide range of emoji stickers. it’s intended for his siblings and a few of his closest friends. after a moment’s hesitation, jinwook adds all his old sphere teammates to the recipient list as well.

a flip of the camera frames his follow-up message, a cheesy selfie blurred by excitement. this one goes to jinri: “lunch on me??!”

after excitedly texting his family, jinri’s the first person he wants to celebrate with, given how big of a role she played in his journey here. it hits him that she’s somewhere in the building at this very moment. she even knows where his audition room was scheduled, though she wouldn’t be careless enough to linger around.

jinwook’s eyes drop to the contract again, reminded of the rules contained within it. his pinky trails the margins of the heavy, official papers as he hunts for one tiny clause. his gaze lingers when he finds it - all trainees will not be allowed to date while signed under sphere entertainment.

the stern print gives him pause. it’s been a few months since jinri’s breached her own contract, and nothing bad has come of their relationship - but still, jinwook isn’t flippant about breaking rules. not usually.

in a fit of petulance, he snaps a pic of the pesky, unforgiving sentence. he doodles a broken heart in the margin of the photo and sends it off to jinri with a sense of invincibility. nothing has to change.

he just wants to see her. he flips the signed contract closed and practically skips down the halls with it. the receptionist shares a knowing smile at jinwook’s glowing aura as she accepts the envelope from him.

( he’s familiar with her by now. it’s same woman who’d checked him in every day during the mgas. even if the receptionist doesn’t remember him, she will learn quickly, jinwook thinks. she’ll be seeing a lot more of him from now on. )

under the table he hooks his ankle into jinri’s, a natural, practiced motion. it’s subtle, like it’s always had to be, like it always will be - even more so now that both of them are under sphere’s watch.

“…something better than they last saw in the mgas,” he continues without missing a beat, his voice imitating the cadence of baek jiyoung’s. “then she said congratulations and gave me the contract, and then… that was it, i guess? it was that simple?”

jinwook recalls the stomach-turning stress of his nova audition in august. he’d normally shudder at the memory, but today a light laugh bubbles up out of him instead.

“you know,” he says, slowing his words so he can consider each one before voicing it. “i thought my heart was still with royal, but i feel like this must be in the stars, or something.” he looks up and flushes at the intensity of jinri’s gaze. it’s not exactly table talk, but he’s afraid he’ll lose the words if he doesn’t say them as they come. “really. maybe it’s you, maybe i’d just agree with anything baek jiyoung said. i know beggars shouldn’t be choosers…” he swallows and nudges jinri’s ankle, a small smile lifting his lips with the remark. “but something keeps bringing me back to sphere.”

2014-high-school-graduate-jinwook, pouring his heart out to the stars, would take comfort in knowing that his prayers were worth something after all. he’d hardly believe his eyes. jinwook’s gotten into university, moved to the big city, competed on tv, got the girl, got the dream job.

so much change in the past three years! he just hopes he can make it all work together. jinwook closes his eyes and imagines the next two years under sphere entertainment — there’s just no telling how far he’ll go.

i told myself i wasn’t going 2 do this b/c ... i’m lazy bean, but here we are anyway! let’s get it!

but anyways starting off rookies was kind of like a vacation to me, rp wise. before rk i had my own rp that lasted a while but during 2013, there was just some drama between members that i constantly had 2 deal with and honestly it was like ... dragging me down, making admining seem like a chore and i loathed logging on to the main b/c i knew there would be some shit w/ these certain people that i had to deal with. so seeing rk in the tags being a different kind of idol roleplay ( and shout out rk for being a trendsetter ) /and/ the fact that reserves were filling up so quickly for a new rp, i quickly sent in a muse.

and it was a little ... idk at first. i did feel out of place considering most came from a different rp in the beginning and i wasn’t, and on top of me being v awkward w/ talking 2 people on instant messengers, there was a bit of time where i felt like i didn’t fit in and almost dropped like 2 weeks after i joined, LOL. luckily at the time a lot of things were going on which helped w/ plotting and meeting new muses, and everyone was super friendly and nice and that’s what kept me here!!!

so then rk turned from a vacation you didn’t want to leave from -- i ended up slagging off p majorly on my responsibilities as an admin at my own rp for a while because i was having such a good time at rk -- it rly brought back my love for rp and muse and tbh if you look back at rksunyoung’s archive back in 2013 - early 2014, i don’t think i’ve ever written as much on tumblr as i did back then, LOL. rk has definitely had it’s ups and downs and i’ve dropped both of my muses before -- but it wasn’t too long before i was bringing them back because there really isn’t a place like rk within krp. that, along with the dedication between both members and admins, is why it’s lasted so long and is still thriving with a super active dash after five fucking years. that’s crazy!! i think i remember mei saying something similar on twitter -- but when i see old rp friends and they ask “omg ur /still/ at rk???”

so it’s obvious to see why this rp went from feeling like a vacation to a home, right?? it’ll always have a special place in my heart  ♡

anyways moving on to my characters too -- when i first brought rksunyoung, now miss rkxblue, i never thought that she would last more than a couple of months, much less be involved with so many things within rk’s history!! it’s ... p wild to think about, especially since i’m someone that has a hard time committing to hobbies and such. it’s been a fun ride watching her go from someone who was wild and reckless and had a problem with love and a little bit of anger issues to someone whos a lot more well rounded, a soft idiot LOL. she even finally got herself the sweetest boyfriend after four years of being shipless on the rp, which i still can’t wrap my head around because denying herself love and believing that it doesn’t exist was one of her /things/ for the longest time. the list of stuff she’s done is so long and now that it’s lead to her finally debuting it’s ... scary yet exciting for her, to be honest, she thought she’d be a trainee forever!! i’ve had a lot of ups and downs with her muse as well, to the point where there was like years ( i think ) of inactivity on my end and she should have 4238972389 more points than she does atm because of that. i do feel sorry for her b/c that was just me being lazy ofc, but in the end i’ve gotten my shit together on her and have been pumping out replies p consistently this year and plotting w/ trainees which has done wonders for her muse. and although hyomin was literally /the/ perfect fc for her considering her personality, the fc change 2 yura has also helped majorly with my muse and it’s been so much easier to plot and reply and even with her characterization too.

as for miss rknvna!! she hasn’t had as much development as sun, aside from her tumultuous rls with a former song minho and being a royal trainee during her first run, and that’s mainly been due to my laziness again jfkafl;a. the good thing tho is that i’ve finally been able to experience life as a rookie with her, considering the times my girls have become trainees were v quick ( sun’s first time was like a week or two after the rp opened, then 3 months after i rejoined w/ her, and nana became a trainee only a month after she joined the first time ) so it was nice to experience the freedom that came with being a rookie!! since 2018 has been sun’s year, i’m going to focus on nana for 2019 so that she can branch out more!!

i guess before i move on i should give shoutouts to all my other rkmuses throughout the years whose lives were so short that i can’t even remember their urls LOL -- my song jieun, park kyungri, goo hara, and choi jinri muses!! i’m sure there’s at least one more that i’m forgetting, but they all lasted around 2 weeks so...

but i also want 2 thank rk for allowing me to be more social as well!! i’ve said this in the last anniversary post i wrote 25238957 years ago but i used 2 have a phobia of sorts when it came 2 instant messengers, so i didn’t rly have one when msn was popping and therefore, didn’t talk 2 many people ooc wise in rps. i made an aim when i came to rk and just ... diving in and talking to people helped out a lot with that, even if i do still get anxious from time to time w/ just simply messaging people. :(

i’m a shy individual ( and for some reason its only exacerbated online??? idk fam ) and unconsciously rather private as well, so that definitely hinders me from making friends as much as i would like to, but it’s a day by day process!! it’s something i’ve come 2 terms w/ as of late and will seriously work on within the next year! but even w/ me being the way that i am, i’ve been able 2 meet a couple of people that have made my experience in rk just a little bit brighter so a ( very brief ) shout out 2 them ~

to maria ( @rkjinkis ) : my sweet angel!!! i’m so glad that rk brought us together because you’ve honestly become one of my closest friends from this rp and in general tbh!! ur so super sweet and caring and a blessing 2 my life, just as much as jinki is to ahyoung’s!! i’m sorry that sun is too independent for her own good but she’s working on it okay!! baby steps!! i love how genuine u are and how we can rely on each other through thick and then, and honestly i want the world for u and more. i love love love LOVE u so much, and i’ll make sure u never forget it!! thank u for being my friend and my source of happiness!!!  ♡ ♡ ♡

to mei ( @rkariel ) : man i admired u for the longest b/c i’ve always loved the way u write and ur characterization of tiffany / ariel, so when years ago nick told me that u were actually paying attention to the minana plot and threads i was so shook i nearly tripped over myself LMFAO. i’m happy that we actually started talking b/c of that tho!!! it’s so easy 2 write w/ u and i honestly have so much fun regardless if we’re just talking about our characters, getting carried away on dash or twitter, or hurting each other w/ headcanons!! ariel has become nana’s rock p much and w/o her i’m not sure how she would of fared her time w/ mino w/o her and their discussions!!! i hope that we can become closer in the future!!

honestly, i didn’t know how to start this post. much like my dumbass muse, i am terrible with this kind of thing, reflection and being emotional and verbalizing it. but here i go let’s try this thing out!!

i started this journey a few weeks after rookies first opened. i don’t think anyone is around anymore who interacted with my initial muse (his blog is still here and app here omg) except for razel---at least, not with the same muses. he was the son of a gangster from mokpo lmao and he was a bit of an ass but he was a lot of fun to play. but i dropped him lol along with my second muse back then, a lim kim fc

to pick up one of my most iconic muses @ex-rkluhan​!! i think this muse is what really solidified my fate to stay here in rookies. it’s with this muse that i really got to know more people and interact and be more social with everyone. he was so so much fun to play, but unfortunately, he didn’t feel his place was in seoul anymore, so he moved back to china, and i dropped him too

after that, i want to a fuckton of muses, a lot of whom i honestly don’t remember much about, and even if i tried to remember, i’d probably mix up a lot of their details (some of these muses include: @xrkjinwoo, @xyurark, @xrkmeiqi). my relationship with rookies became an on again off again relationship but i’m a clingy bitch so i kept coming back

i remember i kept talking about wanting a chanyeol muse on twitter, but unfortunately, he would always be taken at every rp i looked at. then one day, a christmas miracle happened (it was like the end of july but still!!) and i was alerted that chanyeol was available at rookies!! (thx carly, i know i thank you last year, too, but i gotta keep doing it lmao) tbh back then i didn’t even...like chanyeol all that much? but being able to use him as an fc has brought me into the light and now i love that little idiot with all my heart he can take it from my chest and i would look at him lovingly as he did it (tbh rookies has made me love a lot of different faces more than i did before!)

but!! this was during the time of the Great Rookies Depression where there wasn’t a lot of activity on the dash or th e main, and i remember my app being in limbo for like two or more weeks, and i honestly thought rookies wouldn’t recover and that my chance to play chanyeol would fall to dust. but!!! the amazing and wonderful mod team did such a 180 with the new blog and making sure rookies stayed alive that i’m not sure they aren’t just a bunch of mercy mains using their rez (eh eh ovw reference geddit?? i’m a nerd) and now rookies is still thriving, even more than ever!!

anyway!! if you take a look at chanyeol’s app, you’ll see he was meant to be a much more serious muse than what he is today. look!! i even capitalized my sentences and proper nouns lmfao but he just...i couldn’t contain the dumbassery, it jumped out. and he formed onto his own into this big-hearted goof that he is today and i love him to bits but also i hate him because god he’s dumb

a year or so after that, i picked up my momo muse (formerly @/rkxseola)! honestly, she was picked up on a bit of a whim, and several times i have almost dropped her, even attempting to put her on hiatus to see what i could do with her, but every time i put her on hiatus, an event happened lmao first it was i think starbright auditions?? which she failed. and then it was mgas!! which she didn’t win but still got signed!! and even though i’m struggling a little bit with her right now, i think at this point, it’s pretty much just fate that’s kept her here, so i’m going to keep going with her for as long as i can!!

to the admods: thank you all so much for all that you do! rookies wouldn’t be the well-oiled machine that it is without all your hard work and dedication, and you all still have time to keep your muses active; that’s truly an amazing feat and so admirable! at one point i had contemplated applying to be a mod, but i got lazy just thinking about how much work it would be, so i really appreciate you all!

honestly, i’m really terrible at getting back to messages because i’m either too anxious to do it bc i think my messages are boring/stupid/whatever, or i reply in my head and forget to actually send the actual message, so i know i always leave people hanging and i should really get better about that because that’s just not nice ;; but!! i just want you all to know that if you’ve ever taken an interest in any of my muses---past, present, or future (who knows lol)---then i really and truly appreciate you. if you’ve messaged me on twitter or tumblr im, whether to plot or chat or reminisce or meme, i truly appreciate you. here in the real world, i don’t really talk to anyone outside of family, so the internet is pretty much my actual social life lmao so i really thank you all from the bottom of my heart, whether we talk regularly or sporadically, or if u even just liked one of my starter calls or tweets while i talk to myself lmao. thank you so, so much. really, can’t stress enough how much i appreciate it.

what kind of characters do u wanna see?

hey there! i believe we have a few asks pertaining to this matter, so i’ll go ahead and link them here (one, two). this response gets kind of lengthy, so i do apologize for that! i’m sure if mod sapphire or admin emerald have anything to add, it will be listed below. and if any of our current members have any ideas as well, we would love to hear it in the replies!

as for a more updated answer for this, i think we would love to see some muses who are considered ‘lawful good’. we definitely want to see more muses who fill up the occupations in the general city (older muses who may fill up some organization spots, alumni of the institute that still live around the island, etc). i’d love to see a group of muses who went to the institute, but since then their friend group has split apart for some reason. it’d be interesting to have a ‘where are they now?’ type of plot amongst these muses (i.e. reply 1997, our beloved summer type plots)! i know a lot of people may be discouraged to join as older muses, as most of the current muses are students in the institute, so i think these kinds of muses may help bridge the gap between the general city and the institute. 

although we have an institute, a common idea that our admod team has been discussing are muses who aren’t a student despite being around the traditional age for students. i believe the general idea for the institute is that it would educate students on more advanced (but general) knowledge on magic that is the international standard; hence, we would love to see muses who stray away from such standards. an example that we would love to see of this is a muse who studies korean shamanism or comes from a lineage of korean shamans. we don’t want to limit this muse to just one ethnicity though! any muse with knowledge of magic coming from their own cultural background would be just as interesting! i also know there are families within the harry potter universe who use their magic as a source of entertainment for the public that also are not traditionally taught such practices. these muses would also be interesting to see at hwando as well!

lastly, i would love to see some connections form with some of our current members (with their permission of course). if any current members have some wanted connections that they would like to fill up, we strongly encourage you to fill out our wanted connections form asap! we would love to see some siblings or relatives around the island.

so while procrastinating on studying i realized that jaehyunrk’s two years in rookies was on june 2nd! i can’t express how much i love this rp and the admods that run it (u guys go through so much & are the best, truly!)

it’s crazy to think that i’ve had jaehyunrk since nct u’s debut with the 7th sense and then throughout all of jaehyun’s career with his following unit, solos, dj-ing, etc. 

jaehyunrk has grown so much from when he first came to rk in 2016 when he was still a kiddo (only 18!!!) and now he’s 20 and old!!! he went from sopa boy to college boy!!! i also joined as jaehyunrk when i was only 18 and now im 20 too!!! he’s grown to be my favourite muse and i love this boy so much!

* she didn’t die until the VERY VERY END of the apocalypse timeline     ---she was a major part of the resistance and was invested in pursuing the spark of hope that was the restoration card, and only died probably at most a couple weeks before it was found     ---that means resistance muses can definitely have had a close relationship with her before she died! she tried her best to be a positive force for them no matter how dark the situation became or how bleak her thoughts turned, so i’d love to have past or present threads with resistance members! ( whispers open plot !!! )

* she’s in her last year of high school, is kind of a rebel against her parents     ---1st timeline yebin would die again if she knew how much 2nd timeline yebin takes her family for granted ( 1st timeline her parents were dead )     ---she loves her parents and doesn’t MAJORLY rebel, she just doesn’t really care about school or trying to get a good job when she’s got the perfect gig as a hero already     ---she hasn’t really seen the dark side of heroing yet in this timeline ( another potential open plot -- maybe a card defeats her and tells her not everything is like an anime?? )     ---she likes partying and doing fun things like that though, but i’m not sure how much her parents know about that ( probably not much lbr )

i first joined with eunae in january 2015 and had a great six months before i left due to lack of time and also lack of muse. i didn't really know what to do of eunae and at that time i had a hard time plotting and interacting with people due to anxiety. i stayed away for more than a year but always kept updated with the events and stuff due to amy~ i always ended up sharing eunae's reactions to what was happening in the rookiesverse and yien's life so i quickly started to miss her.

i decided to join again and it was the best decision i could've made! the very first batch of acceptances on the brand new main :3 speaking of which, a big thanks to the admod team that worked really hard this past year to keep the rp active. you guys are doing a wonderful job and i'm sure you have lots of things in store for us o u o

i'm so bad at writing stuff like this i never know what to say ;; if i had more time i'd have prepared messages from all the people i've got to know over the past year but with my grandparents moving, work and this annoying cold i've caught the past month has been hella intense. SO LET ME JUST thank you all for making rookies what it is! to all the old members as well as the new ones, it's always so nice to read your threads and see your muses grow and thrive. i hope i'll get to plot for more threads with both my muses once things settle down a bit, sorry if i'm not fully caught up with welcomes yet either fhdkjghkjd.

the first time i was at rookies i had such a hard time making friends, i pretty much only relied on amy. but this past year i've met so many wonderful people in the rp community and i'm just so glad i got out of my shell and interacted with people. i really need to thank twitter for this, it just made it so much easier. this also allowed eunae to meet even more people outside of the little circle i had made for her and grow as a person. she still messes up and makes rash decisions such as diving head first into a survival show in another company but... you know my girl never refuses a challenge.

i have never enjoyed a rp as much as this one <3"      hwang jaerim and im hyunjin’s jia wants to say - "hello admod team, yall know im always here to bother u all with my weirdness and you guys are all great to talk to. i've been lucky enough to have been here since day 1 and to see this place flourish and see all the efforts you put into the rp, makes me glad to be here. thank you!!"      oh max and park viggo’s lyn wants to say -  "as one of those muns that has been in legacy from the very beginning, i've witnessed this rp grow and i can’t help but to feel extremely proud and happy for the admod team who works tirelessly to make sure that the progress isn’t only with the rp but genuinely with the muses within it. the admins take it into their own hands to celebrate the achievements that muses have obtained and put them on the spotlight, personally i've experienced screaming and getting emotionally overwhelmed with some of the mods at how happy and ecstatic i felt with some of the results for my muses. with that said i want to make it clear that my muses don’t always get what they want, when it happens, i do share some down time with said mods as well- not to complain but to just talk. the same happens vice versa, when the mods' muses don’t get a spot in future dreams or didn’t get the center of a group, or when they land a cf spot or has made progress by moving on a different path, i'm able to witness their reactions as muns as well- which quite frankly is humbling considering that it reminds me that their muns too and not just mods. essentially what i'm trying to say is that based on my experience and mine alone although i have no doubt i'm not the only one who feels this, clearly this post proves it, that the admod team is not just there to provide us with countless numbers of events or answer our endless amount of questions and woes with admirable patience or guide us in the right direction when we misplace a point or two in our submits, but rather to present us muns with a safe and progressive platform to comfortably establish and allow our muses to flourish in a highly entertaining environment. so thank you legacy team for your heartwarming and admirable work, i know this hasn’t been easy for you guys but hang in there, a lot of us got your backs ♡"
