𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗦 :  Elena hid her face into his chest, still flushed and flustered by Alaude's brazen action. "Hm..If you are just teasing me, Signore..." It was difficult to sound threatening after a kiss like that, which left her heart still beating rapidly within her rib cage.  —  unprompted ! 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 : ALWAYS ACCEPTING!

His fingers found the ends of her long , blonde hair , fiddling absently with the golden tresses . Arms wrapped securely around her , a low chuckle sounded in the depths of his chest .    “    When have you known me to be the type to tease ?     “      He pointed out , maybe a little too sternly . But such was the nature of the Cloudian . Everything he did was done with purpose , never the type to expel unnecessary energy .

A short exhale through his nose as he pulled back , in favor of taking a portion of her hair and bringing the to his lips . Kissing the ends , his vivid gaze locked with her own .    “   I’ve just returned , and already you’re leaving the estate ?     “    Of course , he knew she was a busy woman , as was he . And it wasn’t like she knew he was about to return — no one ever did , his whereabouts always hidden and kept a secret while he was away on missions .

Okay , so maybe he knew how to tease without really meaning to .

The thanks wasn’t necessary, though he understands her need to do so. It has always been in her nature to be soft and kind, regal and elegant. It was how she was raised, after all. Not to mention, Elena has always been more vocal about her appreciations and affections, and Alaude wasn’t so awful that he would rob her of that.

Smiling, ever so minutely, he lifts a strand of her hair and kisses the ends before allowing it to fall once more. “Just say the word, Elena ... “ and he will be there. Every wish, every whim — he was hers to command, a trust he doesn’t freely grant. But it is because he knows she won’t ever abuse it, he knows he can offer it.

Lips brush against the crown of her head before fingers pushed back her golden strands . His touch his surprisingly soft as he cups her cheeks within his palms . Staring down at her with a softness that seemed so unlike him , he allowed his thumbs to stroke along her cheeks .     “     Elena . . .      “      He says her name tenderly , his own icy hues glinting with rue .      “        You know that I have to go . . . ,      “       Alaude muttered out quietly before placing a kiss upon her eye lids . They both know it , and he loathes the idea of leaving her behind . But he had a duty , and Alaude can never turn his back to it .

“       I’ll be back before you know it ,      “       he promises before kissing her softly and lovingly , a side of himself he’d never let anyone but her see .     “       I have so much to come back for , after all .      “
