I'll admit that the reason why I have been doodling so much super silly things these last two days it's because i saw the most ungodly takes ever that made my eye twitch and it wasn't like just your classic ship war, it was just-
"did we watch the same thing? if so I volunterr for a comparative study between the both of us, I think researchers would find this fascinating"
Is not even a moral thing or anything, is just that I feel gasligthed because I can't see how you ended with that Conclusion(tm) and you keep explaining and I still can't see.
Is like looking at a solved math problem, and you can't just conprehend the steps, that's how it feels. And also I get a bit petty because-...idk, is a children show, is not that complex
Tbh, what makes me eye twitch is actually the,,,hmm,,,the way some people seem to be so unaware of how trauma works, I think. Because I'm quite invested in analizing trauma in fictional characters and Anakin's is like served on a silver tray, so it's baffling when I come across with people that have such a deep misunderstanding of how trauma can affect a brain cuz yeah, is fictional but you're meant to write the characters with logic.
But I'm derailing i don't even know what i'm writting anymore, but no worries, i'm mostly just baffled and confused sdfnkljgnkdjfg
#how is padmé too boring for anakin and 'he was more into the zigerrian queen' and 'he acts too much of#'a brat to deserve anything better' and also is something you say so confidently#i'm baffled absolutely baffled i still think about it becuase nlkjffdfjdfnkfjnkdlfjgnkjdgnkjdgdg#the zigerian arc lives rent free on my mind but because it's an awesome source of tasty awful angst but- lol#and that was just only one thing because the others were honestly less baffling but equally 'do you engage with the character or just-#reminder not interacting with fandom outside your lane is the key of happiness#maybe he seemed at ease with the queen bc he was idk undercover and then maybe he seemed conflicted bc slavery is a hard topic for him#and maybe a part of him wanted to rescue her bc he used to be a good person just guessing here#rambling#rhea's notebook#ranting

Just finished the new chapter of A More Perfect Union and AHHHHHHHHHHH the awkward dinner party scene killed me dead. I wonder how Padme and Obi-Wan’s interaction in the senate went…I’m so so excited for the next chapter
lol obi-wan and Padmé meet in the senate hallways after the hearing or whatever and the vibes are so rancid that Palpatine feels them from his office and gets worried that he’s not the biggest baddest sith in the galaxy anymore
#asks#a more perfect union#nah I feel like they were pretty polite and professional#and Padmé invited him for dinner with anakin because she’s trying to prove to everyone that there’s no issue#and obi-wan is very good at hiding#his feelings and being professional if not#distant#up until he gets to see anidala interact and that’s too much

Padmé & Anakin ⟶ (@ofcelestialstories)
With a lingering gaze, Padmé couldn't be sure if her eyes were deceiving. A cruel joke being played by the gods. Never considering herself too religious, she's beginning to rethink so many things. Uncertainty plagues her as she nears the figure. Her voice falters as she can only manage to peer at the man who looks like her husband. She had hoped he remained in Ivy Cove. In some part becuase it seemed a far safer place. Though she would be lying if she didn't find her fear growing within his presence. "Ani?" she asks finally, "Are you really here?"

@alootus asked: "i didn't mean to scare you." // prompts from bones and all;; open
The human’s gaze drifted down to the chaotic pile of books and papers at his booted feet. He reached down to collect them, briefly pausing to look up at the woman who he had unintentionally collided with. It was impossible not to recognize her in these tumultuous times of war, a well-known figure in the political arena, and Caleb, well, he paid attention. The esteemed Senator stood before him, a sharp contrast to his disheveled appearance as he frantically gathered his scattered possessions. Usually nestled among the bustling lower levels of Coruscant, he stood out like a sore thumb in the refined atmosphere of the upper level library. His ginger hair a wild tangle and his coat bore several visible patches that were barely holding on. It was clear to anyone who saw him that he did not belong here, let alone near a Senator.
He took a cautious step back, body tensing like a skittish cat. Quiet curses in Zemnain slipped from his lips as he shook his head, “You didn’t. I am sorry, I should have been watching where I walked.” Before allowing her to respond, Caleb bent back down with a sense of urgency to finish collecting the scattered pile of books. He carefully arranged them on the closest table, his hands gloved shaking ever so slightly as he tried to hide his nervousness.
From under the table, a faint sound emerged—a small, muffled meow that could only have come from Caleb's orange tooka cat. Caleb shot a quick warning glance towards his furry companion who was not supposed to be inside the quiet walls of the library in the first place. With subtle hand gestures, he urged his pet to hide further under the table, but it was no use. The unmistakable meow and pair of large, bright orange ears gave away the cat's location almost immediately.

padme spun the tiny tornado around in her hand as she sat on the park bench. this and being able to create small gusts of wind were about as much as she could do with this new found power. it was surprising she could do anything at all. the former queen wondered if this was something to do with the force. it was inside of everyone, but not everyone had the talent to use it. she hadn't thought she had been one of those people. but padme supposed she had never thought to try. noticing the other close to her, the tornado stopped and padme looked up at them. "i'm not sure any of us will understand this place," she jested, referencing the many strange things that happened to residents of the city.

Thinking about missed opportunities in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy again: it's weird with hindsight that Count Dooku doesn't appear in "The Phantom Menace".
Dooku was a Jedi, so it's perfectly reasonable for him to be at either the Jedi Temple or the Republic Senate when we visit Coruscant in TPM. It would have been easy to move a few things around and include him even as a member of the Jedi Council when initially constructing the films, if you were planning ahead when writing.
As Qui-Gon's former master, Dooku is in the perfect position to ask questions onscreen about Qui-Gon's conviction that he's found the Chosen One and Qui-Gon's decision to put Obi-Wan up for knighthood, both publicly with the Council and privately from a more personal standpoint. Dooku could be used as a tool of interrogation to better lay clear for the audience some of Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin's characters, their motivations and fears and their potential flaws. An intimate conversation with his master's master could definitely be used to give Obi-Wan some much-needed character focus and inferiority before his climatic fight with Darth Maul.
As the future leader of the Separatists, this is also the ideal point in time to have Dooku act as a voice of criticism, someone who laments both the greed of the Trade Federation and the inaction of the Republic. Dooku could have easily been the representative of the Jedi in the Senate, watching everything, offering grandfatherly sympathy to Padmé Amidala, remarking on the effectiveness of unrestrained power, perhaps even making a warning observation of the dangers of that as Palpatine becomes the new Chancellor. We don't have to see Palpatine and Dooku interact directly, the film could even suggest that Dooku finds this ambitious politician slightly distasteful, but it sets up an explanation for how these two might know each other.
And if we have reason to know and like Master Dooku, then it would actually hurt more when he becomes Count Dooku and betrays both the Jedi Order and the Republic. Even briefly, we could have seen him show frustrated affection and concern for Qui-Gon, give warm advice and praise to Obi-Wan, stand up firmly against the unfairness of the Jedi Council saying Anakin is too old at nine years old. We could have seen Dooku support Padmé in her struggles to make the corrupt Republic take action. We could have seen him as dignified and wise, perhaps one of the only members of the Jedi Council to immediately take the return of the Sith 100% seriously after Maul appears on Tatooine. We could have been made to feel like this experienced, slightly embittered, but righteous older man was the only one "speaking the truth" here.
It really wouldn't have taken all that much shuffling and reassignment plotwise to add him in as a supporting character.
We would feel intrigued at the beginning of "Attack of Clones" when we learn that Count Dooku has left the Jedi Order after Qui-Gon's death. We could see Anakin and Obi-Wan briefly exchange lines about how they miss Master Dooku as well as Qui-Gon (there is already an exchange in the films where they state they miss Qui-Gon), and how they haven't seen or heard from him in some time now. Anakin could suggest that Dooku is hunting down the Sith Master; Obi-Wan could counter with how Master Dooku has simply returned to his life on Serenno, which he couldn't have as a Jedi Master, which Anakin casually calls unfair and he suggests that Dooku can do far greater good as a powerful count (a parallel to Anakin's marriage to Padmé and own Fall). Dooku being established earlier in the trilogy would better highlight how he and Obi-Wan went completely separate directions after Qui-Gon's death.
And again, the reveal that Dooku has Fallen would hurt so much more, if we had actually seen him be affectionate and righteous and wise. If we had any point of comparison for how Dooku's embittered desire for peace and justice has been warped into the pursuit of control and tyranny. It would hurt to see that formerly good man sentence Padmé to death as "just politics, my dear".
"This will start a war!" Padmé tells the man who helped her help her people once.
"I know," Dooku replies, with ominous satisfaction.
It would hurt to see Obi-Wan beg Dooku to stop this (a prelude to him begging Anakin in the next movie: "Anakin, please, I cannot lose you too!"), only for Dooku to attack and nearly kill him when Obi-Wan refuses to join him. It would hurt to see this grandfatherly figure cut off Anakin's hand, someone he knew and was kind to as a child. Seeing where Dooku fell from would also make everything about his fight with Yoda hurt more as well. We wouldn't have seen Dooku's struggles directly, offscreen in the time skip between TPM and AOTC, but this Fall would help prepare us for witnessing Anakin's Fall onscreen in "Revenge of the Sith", illustrate for us how power and grief corrupts, how the desire to take complete control and "start over" corrupts.
And all of this would also make Dooku's death in ROTS hurt more: to see Anakin execute an unarmed, injured man who had once been kind to him, who had once had good intentions a long, long time ago. We could have even had Dooku perhaps try to warn Anakin about Sidious, as the fear cuts through him as he realizes Sidious has betrayed him, only for Anakin to kill Dooku out of anger (Dooku is responsible for so much death, Palpatine reminds Anakin) just before the ruined man can finish speaking. Dooku's former goodness underlines Anakin's arrogance in thinking that his own fate will be any different.
The novelizations of the prequel films and other extended universe materials build up an image of Dooku's life as a Jedi and his Fall for us. We can assume and imagine a lot. We can retroactively apply knowledge gleaned from "The Clone Wars" with Dooku as a major villain. But ultimately, Dooku as a more sympathetic and emotionally relevant character is just not in the films.
When "Attack of the Clones" reveals to us: "Oh, no! Dooku has betrayed the Jedi Order and the Republic!" I think that most of the audience is like: "Gonna be real with you, chief, I have no idea who that is."
He's only been mentioned before once maybe? In Palpatine's office? Master Mundi assures Palpatine that Dooku is a good man (or something like that), but we have seen no evidence of this ourselves. This line mostly just becomes really funny on a rewatch, rather than poignant, because the prequel films audience only ever gets to see Count Dooku as a Sith Lord and rather underdeveloped villain. We don't ever get to see him be a "good guy" first. We're told but not shown.
The audience has no solid reason to care that Dooku specifically has betrayed the Order, as opposed to any random Jedi, because we haven't seen him before at all, much less interacting with any of our protagonists or establishing himself as an opinionated player within the story. Which is a shame! Because he has strong opinions that stand in interesting ideological conflict with so many other characters, generating fun and dramatic exchanges! He has direct connections to and parallels with other characters! He's potentially a really useful storytelling tool within these films, and his character just doesn't get used to that full tragic potential.
In conclusion...? I wish I'd actually been sad when Dooku betrayed everyone and died at Anakin's hand, instead of mostly just confused and then vaguely pitying. I want to see some of the love between characters beforehand, so that it hurts more effectively when that love turns to hate.

WDYM Anakin is Luke and Leia's dad
I dunno if this post will reach the Star Wars fandom but I hope it does because I'm sure you all will get a good laugh at me.
As of recent I have developed a good hiperfixation for Star Wars, the thing is I knew nothing. NOTHING about Star Wars besides the fact it had aliens and...a war...in space? And funny swords. And main character is Luke or something, I spent over 20 years ignoring anything about Star Wars and somehow missing most references out there.
And recently, literally less than a month ago I saw a gif and said to my partner "oh this guy this guy looks cool, this gif looks nice" and he said "Oh well, he's a good character." And it all developed into me watching Clone Wars, the animated series you know and...and I was kinda blown away, on my opinion the show IS GREAT. And I love every character and their interactions, I love how much they focus on side characters, and they all seem very well written. I got hiperfixated really fast and saw Anakin and I was like "Omg, babygirl. He's a blorbo now."
And because of the show, this was super unexpected, but somehow I also got, really got, into the ship with Padmé because omg, cool woman. Literal happy squeaky noises of someone who was in a bad state and needed some good ol' distraction and comfort.
Now, like I said I knew nothing about Star Wars as a whole. And I still haven't watched the movies, besides the ocassional gif?
So imagine my shock, my surprise, my...bewilderment when I realized.
"Wait a minute, LUKE IS ANAKIN'S SON?! HOLY-"
Ladies, gentleman, and others, I think I came very late to this party and I don't even know how it took me so long.
Not only that, but because of this sudden love for the series, I went to my friends circle like "BESTIE, GUESS WHAT, I HAVE A NEW BLROBO AND A NEW FAV SHIP AND EEEP"
And my friends are like "omg that's amazing, what is it?"
I tell them, and of course they all know these characters and they all react like they know this very bad secret fact and I got told several times already "Please, don't watch the episodes 2 and 3 alone, it will hurt."
I feel like blissfully walking among rainbows and blue skies while everyone else know that my future is doomed. Somehow.
(Uncomfortable silence)
Not only that, but then I spent a whole deal of time thinking "Where the heck I have seen these guys" cus there was some fmailiarity I couldn't just point out and then one day I woke up, brushed my teeth and of all sudden I realized and it was such a shock.
Do you know how SURREAL is to get very into a character, and into a ship, and then realize they're the same from that super widespread meme that has been around for who knows how much time?
I swear I thought that meme was from some old medieval fantasy movies or something.
But alas, Star Wars now is EVERYWHERE. People do references to Star Wars ALL THE TIME and it's just now I'm catching them.
I got spoilers. From a meme. In a youtube review that had nothing to do with Star Wars hah. Everything is a spoiler, the world is an apparent spoiler. Now I'm here, trying to avoid spoilers from something everyone seems to know, even my family knows. It's so surreal and I wouldn't have it any other way 😂
Anyways, if you read until here, know that a wild ride still waits me, cuz I'm only starting Season 3 of Clone Wars and I don't plan to watch the movies until I finish the series.
And yes, I made this blog just to ramble freely about SW and draw stuff because it sparked my inspiration after a long art block.
Have this doodle I drew after watching the two first episodes, my offering for you reaching this far.
Note: Wouldn't Anakin and Padmé's ship name be Animé? Cuz that's hilarious.

omg time traveler ahsoka au! she gets obi-wan to leave the order for satine in the hopes that he’d be weird with someone else but anakin gets sent on a mission to mandalore and wow there’s this handsome duke he has to look after. what a shame he’s married and definitely wouldn’t leave his wife for this jedi he feels immediately weird about
hmmmmmmm this is one of Ahsoka’s closest attempts because obi-wan’s personal sense of loyalty wouldn’t let him cheat on his wife, and he’s spent so long building a family and a life on Mandalore that he would never toss it aside to be romantically involved with a kid (read: 22yo) that he doesn’t even know even though he feels a very strong pull towards him….obi-wan is adept at lying to himself
It gets easier to lie to himself when he realizes that Skywalker is also married, though secretly…..it offends part of Kenobi, but that’s just because Skywalker is making a mockery of the Jedi order with his secret marriage!! Kenobi is no longer a Jedi of course but he still has great respect for the Order!!!
That’s the only reason he feels so strange when he thinks of Skywalker’s marriage even long after Skywalker and the senator he was guarding as she came to a celebratory feast on Mandalore leave again.
(Ahsoka tenses on her reset button as anakin makes his way back to mandalore a few months later, but they’re being….normal…this anakin requests to study ancient mandalorian and Jedi texts that are housed in the capital city and it’s weird because he’s never really cared about history but he’s being very…respectful….and master obi-wan is also being very respectful if a little stand offish….he accompanied him down to read the texts and they spend hours down there together but as far as Ahsoka can tell there is nothing inappropriate happening —she has gotten very good at telling when something inappropriate is happening between her old masters—they really are just…talking and reading and they’re being…sort of weird…but sort of normal….it’s the closest they’ve come to the original timeline in fact…Ahsoka relaxes on her reset button)
War breaks out anyway of course and obi-wan lasts only a month or so after anakin is pulled to the front lines before donning an old beat up and anonymous suit of mandalorian armor and flying to fight with him. The Duchess of Mandalore offers no comment. The official story is that her husband is sick in bed from a nasty case of Flafu flu. No one knows that it’s the Duke of mandalore in the red armor, supporting Skywalker’s troops.
Ahsoka wonders if Anakin knows, up until the moment some droid gets a lucky shot in and obi-wan goes down on the battlefield and anakin levels an entire field of droids to get to him looking half out of his mind with worry and rage….then she knows he knows and maybe that he’s always known
She’s tensed up over the reset button again, but after obi-wan’s been seen to by the medic, anakin sends him back to his wife on mandalore and, miraculously, after 2 years fighting to be by anakin’s side, obi-wan…stays, but he looks so beaten down over it, so without half his heart, like he’s suddenly aged 20 years and lived in a desert for all of them. But he stays.
The war ends eventually and the Jedi triumph. Ten years later, leia runs through Anakin’s study with an old red helmet over her head as Luke runs after her, playing war. anakin gently takes it off her and sets her on the ground. He cradles the helmet though in battle worn hands, but thankfully before either of them can ask, padmes speeder arrives and they shoot off to go welcome their mom home - anakin stays for a second longer, just staring at the helmet with such a naked expression of wistfulness longing heartbreak and acceptance that Ahsoka almost wants to turn away. Before she does she sees anakin touch his forehead to the helmet’s once before rising and putting it away, turning instead to go greet his wife
and it leaves Ahsoka with such a WEIRD feeling in her own heart that she’s pressing the reset button before she can think it through because she wants them to be apart and she wants the Jedi to win the war and everyone to get their happy endings but…but not like this…not if they’re not happy….she gets 1 reset where she gets to be selfish ok she’s gone through thousands now probably.
#asks#obikin#time traveler Ahsoka au#a marriage of minds and a whole heaping load of what ifs and almosts#obi-wans marriage to Satine is never the same because she can’t forgive him for all the fighting he willingly waded into#and they both know he only#did it because his pet Jedi was in danger#obi-wan says there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to help a friend#but they both know anakin was hardly just a friend#meanwhile Padmé#knows less than Satine because she never really saw them#interact#after several years of emotional agony because anakin knows he fell in love with obi-wan whole#they were fighting together and maybe even before that even though they never broke their vows to their wives#he finally tells Padmé that the red mandalorian was obi-wan Duke of mandalore#most of the significance of that is lost on Padmé because anakin kept his Jedi life and his personal life so far apart#she thinks it’s strange the Duke#of mandalore would fly out to fight with anakin but she’s grateful of course#and decides the war makes strangers of them all

It's without sane reasoning that her steps carry here to this place. A behemoth twisting from the shadows as she approaches. Padmé hardly understood why she ended her journey here, a thread pulsating until she halts. Wordlessly pondering why she hadn't noticed this building before out of all the years she has lived here. Snapping out of her reverie, she decides to investigate. There must be some rationale for why she was here. Discovering another, she asked softly at first. Not surprised that the other did not hear. " Don't be sorry, I, too, find this place... spectacular. " she motions to the palace-like structure. " Have you been here before? "
@ivycovestarters
It was a strange feeling. Seeing the former stronghold of the Jedi in its prime. Something she had only seen in holorecordings and heard about in second hand accounts. The temple having long since been abandoned in her time but she could see where her Uncle had pulled inspiration from. A hand reaching out toward a pillar, a slight smile as she felt the force move through the very stones of the building she now walked in. Ancient history but still living history. She could feel the joy, the excitement and love that filled the light side of the force, but could also sense the anger, resentment, and fear that laid buried deep beneath the light. She had learned that one was never far from the other. The Jedi Temple was no different. Reality seeped back into her senses. "I'm sorry, if you said anything I didn't hear you." She admitted honestly, "I was miles away, it's a bad habit." She added offering the other a kind smile.

Palpatine is a Fail Girldad
Hi I have a stupid idea
Trans girl Ani AU where Palpatine is more invested in making a monster than in being sexist, so he still tries to influence Anakin etc.
Basically Palpatine tries to be a girl dad.
Crucially, he SUCKS at it.
The sexism is still there, just shaped differently.
Obi-Wan is a natural but Palpatine is like "a kindly Grandpa should give his granddaughter a fluffy SpaceCVS pink teddy bear with chocolates for Space Valentine's right?"
And like. He's so out of touch. He's asking her about boys. Or makeup. Or the latest boy bands.
Meanwhile Obi-Wan is trucking along as usual trying to make Anakin clean her room or do her homework or not pick fights with other padawans or stop eating dairy when she KNOWS it gives her a stomach ache.
@firebirdeternal:
and trying to find tech tinkering projects to point her at so she will stop disassembling the appliances god damn it I just wanted to wake up and make some tea why is the kettle on three separate countertops
@threebea:
Obi-Wan once he knows Anakin is actually vibing with the changes just goes back to default because Anakin hasn't changed in any other way Palpatine: I got you pink shoes 🙂 Obi-Wan: Didn't you have a meeting with Palpatine? Anakin: >_> well…
Anakin's mindset is very "he's trying but that is trying me."
Threebea: Meets Padme who is more than happy to go off about it
Padme likes to dress Anakin up but it's fine because Padmé treating her as a life-size doll is a sex thing.
Palpatine treating Anakin as a girly girl is sexism.
Padme treating Anakin as a girly girl is sexy.
Palps thinks every girl is like Padmé and the handmaidens.
@atagotiak
Obi-Wan has actually interacted with a fairly wide variety of girls. Which def gives him an advantage here
Obi-Wan to Palpatine is very:
Mostly still thinking about him as an absolute failure to girldad though lol

Fandom: Star Wars
Character: Darth Vader
Pairing: Romantic
Type of Fic: Concept (HCs)
Oh no... Anakin giving into the Dark Side... Hope I get things right :( Doesn't really go into it so you can imagine him non-burned if you want.
Yandere! Darth Vader Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Controlling behavior, Manipulation, Violence, Murder, Isolation, Possessive behavior, Forced relationship.
Darth Vader is an Anakin who lost... everything.
His morals, his wife, his mentors, his mother, everything....
He is now a being of ruthless violence to try and justify his actions.
In a way he still wants to protect...
Even if it means stomping out rebellion for the Empire.
Vader no doubt knows he's become a monster.
Part of him wouldn't blame his obsession, whoever they are, for hating his presence.
But a lot of what he does would be for them... you.
Anakin... Vader... doesn't like change.
He has trouble with attachment and that was his downfall.
He has trouble letting go.
He used to be such a nice person.
Now... much has corrupted him.
Anakin has always had trouble with love.
He never wants to lose the people he loves.
Allowing him to have an obsessive and possessive attachment to those he loves.
I imagine Vader is the same way... deep in him.
He's driven to crave power to try and prevent anything similar happening to anyone with The Empire.
He thought he lost his ability to love when he lost Padmé.
Yet... he finds someone new.
Meaning, as always, his love is only harmful towards those he loves.
Vader would fear losing the one he loves again.
In fact, at first he tries to ignore such an idea.
He can't be attached to another.
A Sith Lord like him doesn't have time for another like Padmé.
But deep down... Deep down he craves it again.
Vader is one of the most powerful Sith Lords in the galaxy.
He is a man who takes what he wants.
Power, love, vengeance...
If he really wanted you, he could have you.
But why does he struggle?
All he feels is suffering.
When he sees you, a Jedi, a civilian, a rebel, someone who works under him... whoever you are...
He thinks of those he loved before....
He... He can't do it again, can he?
He's a selfish man.
A selfish man who hurts and kills those he loves.
If he truly respects and loves you, if he isn't just using you to cope...
He should let you go...
Yet as always he can't.
Darth Vader is powerful, arrogant, impulsive, ruthless, impatient, intimidating... and most of all...
Selfish.
Compared to Anakin, he's quiet no matter how you decide to see him.
It doesn't matter if you see him as you do in canon, or if you choose to use the fandom's un-burned version.
I still imagine he wears the helmet, the suit... and you hear that twisted breathing.
You may never truly know the man who took you from your home, who isolated you for his own benefit.
All you know is a cold mask and deep voice.
Along with his cold touch.
Vader is a man full of conflict.
His feelings for you do not help.
Vader is still a man who refuses to let go.
Once he obtains these new feelings for you, he can't just... get rid of them.
No, part of him still wants to love.
He doesn't deserve it, he knows that...
It never stops him from treating you like you're made of glass.
When the Death Star was around, he gave you your own room.
If not, you're never far from him.
I would not be surprised if he was more overprotective and possessive than he was as Anakin.
Now he's determined not to lose you like Padmé.
He may have been unable to save her.
Yet he'll succeed with you, he refuses to see otherwise.
Those who interact with you are closely monitored.
Any harm that comes to you is swiftly punished.
You're given a high security room and Vader often prefers to visit himself.
Vader likes his privacy with you.
By this point, it doesn't matter if this is wrong.
Vader finds himself obsessed with you and your safety.
He feels he can find love in you.
He wants to love again even if he can't.
It pains him when you flinch away.
He tries desperately to cup your cheek, to hold you close.
Frustration keeps bubbling within him when his attempts to change you, to make things work, fail.
Which often leads to him scaring you when he uses the Force to pull you into his arms.
He needs to be careful with his anger.
He could easily kill you if left unchecked.
Then he'd be repeating past mistakes if he wasn't already.
Vader expresses... desperation towards you.
Desperate for a love he can no longer have.
He can't force what he had to happen again.
You may always hate him... He'll always be a monster.
But he's too selfish to let you go.
Even if you hate him, he still holds on to his twisted view of love.
Vader would kidnap you from your home, slaughter all you love, and isolate you beside him...
He'd do it all if it meant he could feel something again... If it meant he could have you.
Murder isn't something he thinks much about anymore. There's not much guilt now.
He's done it so much already for a cause he believes in.
A safer galaxy.
Don't you want a safer galaxy?
While originally dedicating this all to Padmé, he now makes his purpose revolving around you.
Affection is no longer something he really expresses like he used to.
He'll caress you, hold you close, squeeze you like his life depends on it as you sit on his lap.
Yet kisses are impossible, so is anything else.
You feel like you're just being used to cope.
For the most part... you are.
Vader just would never admit it.
He wants you safe, cared for, and loved.
All by him.
Sure, view him as a monster, he knows he is one.
However, this monster is doing all he can to keep you safe.
You may not be happy now... but you will be.
Soon you'll trust his words, won't you?
If he didn't want to love you, he would've disposed of you for being a distraction.
Unfortunately, his view of love isn't much better.
Vader's new view on love is preventing all harm.
That means killing people in front of you with his saber or powers.
That means isolating you.
That means locking you away for his eyes only.
He calls this love...
In reality, he's still a man afraid of loss, and he can't afford to lose you like everything else.

closed starter ⟶ Anakin Skywalker ( @ofcelestialstories )
The stars were shining brightly, a beacon from the fates. Regaining her memories felt as if she were waking from a deep slumber. A haze she couldn't quite shake. This was not Coruscant, though this island held reminiscence of Naboo. But the warm sand couldn't bring the comforts from home. This wasn't her home and she was undoubtedly lost. Metaphorical, of course, she knew her way around this island. Every passing face, only strangers staring back at her. The absence of those she cared for, her children, were missing- a part of her felt just as hopeless.
Walking underneath the only constant she could rely on, those dying stars from miles above. Padmé continued her trek through town, the people milling about are oblivious to her inner torments. It was only when a sudden glimpse caught her attention. No, it couldn't possibly be him. A ghost walking amongst men. " Ani? " her voice calls out. A name she hadn't expected to pass from her lips. Her hesitation roils through her when she realizes this is the man who ended it all.

With a muddled brain, there's only one place she could find some solitude. The lakeside wasn't nearly as beautiful as home but it would do. Warm sand couldn't hinder the cold from seeping into her bones. Only the chill from her loses seemed to follow her everywhere. For an hour or two with eyes closed and only the sounds of nature, she can convince herself this is a dream. One in which she is back on the shores of Naboo and Anakin is only away on a simple mission but he would be back. He's never coming back. With a sigh, she steps near the lake's shoreline.
Not intending to disturb someone else's moment of peace, Padmé comes to a silent stop. Her eyes focusing on the pebbles underfoot, cursing this galaxy for seizing her composure as of late. " You must be deep in your thoughts. " breaking her silence, " It's a beautiful place for that. "
It had only been recently Dorme's memories had returned. She had thought the whole thing had been rubbish until her own had suddenly hit her like a tidal wave, and she wished she could forget again. Ultimately they had failed. Sure they had been trying to get justice after the event, but they had failed. And now she was trapped in this galaxy, with no way to go back. And Jedi walking the streets again? That was the more confusing part in all this.
She'd needed some air, going up to the lake as it reminded her most of Naboo. It wasn't as if she ever went anywhere unarmed, but no one was meant to admit that around here. Hearing footsteps she turned, "oh sorry, I didn't hear you. Made me jump" and maybe she wasn't meant to have heard them, she wasn't willing to risk it to find out.

plotted starter for @alootus || luke & padmé
No one ever claimed a rebellion was easy work. Gone were the days of his mother's careful political maneuvers; now, their lives were consumed by fighting, strategic battle plans, and giant Death Stars. From a young age, Luke always enjoyed flying, he couldn't help but feel a sense of purpose and destiny in the air. The powerful hum of his engine fueled his desire for adventure and excitement.
Or at least, it did.
Now, he continually gazed down at destruction and chaos of war... he could no longer deny the weight of responsibility that burdened him. Despite knowing this was where he was meant to be, he understood why some would say the grass is always greener on the other side. Reality was always more complicated than fantasy.
With a deep inhale, he composed himself before exiting his X-Wing, Artoo rolling out beside him with a beep. He removed his helmet, revealing tousled blonde hair falling over his forehead. The cool metal of his lightsaber hilt hung at his waist, a constant reminder of the weight of more responsibility and power that he hardly understood. Despite what little training he had, Luke still felt as though he had much to learn about wielding the Force. As he strode forward, the sound of his boots crunching against the rugged terrain of their base.
“I’m back from the supply run,” Luke announced his presence to the familiar face of his mother upon entering, “Didn’t run into any issues either, just like you said. Is everything okay here?”
