the smile she offers is tight, but present: she hated to think of the smug look her manager would have if he got to lay into her again for bitching at the customers. "y'know, let me go check in the back for you really quickly!" she stands there for a moment, holding tatum's gaze without blinking. "oh, wouldn't you know it?. we're fresh out!"
"yeah, i wanted to know if you happen to have this dress in emerald," she says pulling up the blue one from the rack with a smile. there was just something about bothering the other when she couldn't deny her service.
