open to f/m/nb ft. caleb morris- 38 | storyboard artist | bisexual | josh hartnettinspo in source (first time)!
it's only when he realizes how dry his mouth feels that it dawns on caleb just how long he's been venting. complaining, really, and all because they'd asked him a simple question. "i am.... so sorry, i completely forgot what we were talking about. i'm just a little... scattered these days." and for the past two years, but unfortunately no one has the heart to confront him about it.
#v open to their connection whether it's a coworker or a friend of his late wife's or a mutual friend of theirs#or even someone he's hired to help w/ the kids or a teacher#someone just help this man PLS#( int/ caleb morris. )#( testing. )#( open. )#indie rp#indie bi rp#indie smut rp#indie starter

the sigh he let out was more exasperated than annoyed.... which was a good sign, at least. "is this something that can wait? i really do have quite a bit of work to get through...." work that had been due months ago, no less, but that wasn't exactly their problem. or something they needed to know.
#open to any connections truly but ideas include someone he hired to help w/ his kids or someone he manages at work or a family friend#he talks to e v e r y o n e w/ this abundance of warmth so go wild#( int/ caleb morris. )#( testing. )#thcophagy

the guilt was almost immediate but he tried to keep his expression impassive as she spoke. "oh...." even worse. he peered around the hurricane of sketches across his desk, trying to make some sense of the work he'd been so deeply immersed in just moments ago and coming up blank. "actually, i could probably use a break. have you already cooked?" he peered down at his wrist where his watch was meant to be.... only to find it missing. "——-i've totally lost track of time. but i could help, if you haven't yet. otherwise i'll just come down—" social interactions weren't his strong suit in even the most comfortable of settings, but particularly when he found himself addressing blythe, to whom he owed so much thanks. "sorry, i shouldn't have snapped earlier— thank you, for the offer. honestly, sometimes i think i should pay you for taking care of me just as much as you take care of the girls."
"oh- i'm sorry." blythe curled herself against the door to his office and bit down on her inner cheek in a feeble attempt to stop more apologies spilling from her lips. she was always so careful not to disturb caleb, her job was to look after his daughters not spend her time fawning over him and his needs but she couldn't help herself. he had always appeared so delicate to her, a vast difference to how he appeared with his broad and imposing frame but blythe could see past that, she could see someone who worked incredibly hard to provide for his family and never got the credit he deserved. "i, um... i was just checking if you wanted me to bring dinner up to your office tonight."
