Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Main Verse: She's a Primordial god of destruction that got reborn as the abomination child of Hecate; raised by Jewish lesbians in 90s NYC after the BPRD found her in a sarcophagus. She is constantly fighting against her inherent Ogdru Hem nature of destroying all reality, and just bein being a regular person. Inherited her mom's position as Queen of the Crossroads a few years back and juggles that and BPRD duties.

Points of interest:

Resting bitch face ahoy, and if she's not wearing her glasses (which assume for the most part she is), her eyes. She also has fangs which are more obvious when talking or smiling. Supernatural muses may feel free to 'sense' an odd or unsettling aura around her.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Main timeline: rebuilding the BPRD, lobbying for more supernatural rights, outreach and opening dialogue between the worlds for at least tolerable co-habitation. Guest Lecturing at colleges. Possibly writing a book on early bronze age cultures, and in talks on hosting a doc for BBC.

Where to find them:

New York, Fairfield (BPRD Headquarters) mainly, but her job(s) take her everywhere. Her family house in Limbo/Erebus and sometimes bothering the Hadean court. (Their Wifi sucks though.)

Current plans:

Not really? Just remade her blog to in-character shitpost, but if wills want more plotted stuff I'm down but I'm keeping it very chill here.

Desired interactions:

Cracky, fun, casual with little high stakes stuff at the moment is ideal. But more planned out stuff is possible. Bureau Shenanigans (Like The Office/WWDITS) style shit that's a little weird, crazy, but slice of life because that's life at the BPRD, especially HB/Kar sibling shenanigans. (But it doesn't have to be!) Fellow Chthonics/Gods just being regular jagoffs in the mortal realm is a vibe I like. (Example: Like her and other Psychopomps having a group chat to settle who's covering what that night, etc. Dropping memes or whatnot.). May open her up to ship again but not sure yet. Just started and haven't vibed enough yet and I'm not assuming any of my old partners are interested in picking things back up.

Offered interactions:

Archaeologist by training, can do expeditions or research. BPRD Agent/Director, can be involved in investigating the paranormal & supernatural and arbitrating on it. She's a goddess of the underworld, envoy of the Fates, etc etc, so dealing with the dead, dying, and politics of the other underworlds. So you can play into that. Or just hit me up I can tool something!

When it comes down to it, I am a multiship blog. I prefer writing with chemistry and I am happy to ship my muses with multiples of another, as each ship is set in it’s own ‘verse and does not cross with other ships ( unless discussed otherwise ).

I tend to be open to most ships, rivals, fluffy, one-sided, frenemies, bff’s - however, I am very new to writing graphically detailed toxic/abusive ships, as i haven't had the chance to write such problematic muses in the past, but I can currently do basic writing on the material!

My blog, while not participating in exclusivity, does take main muses as per request!

This means that a certain version / interpretation of another's muse can have a certain relationship with one of my muses, but I can still interact with duplicates of the same muse - but not have the same type of relationship with them.

ACTIVITY STATUS

I do have a life outside of roleplaying and cannot always be here to rp, though I will try my best to keep on top of replies, memes, and threads. Some muses are stronger than others, so some replies will be given more attention than others and that can’t always be helped, so I will also be trying to put them in the queue for an easier time! I also have blogs elsewhere, and my attention will at times be more focused on their blogs than this one at times.

I post ooc content a moderate amount ( mostly crack / shitposts / headcanons or metas ), so if you have a low tolerance for ooc posts, then i'm afraid to say this might not be the blog for you ^^

Hey, everyone! I'm back! I know I wasn't away for long. I was actually planning on returning later due to IRL stuff, which luckily got finished earlier than I expected. I did update the blog a little, and here's what's new:

This blog is now mutuals only. I know it's a little finnicky with side blogs, so my askbox and messages are still open to everyone, but I will be writing with mutuals only. I am currently following everyone I write with, so please let me know if we're writing and I missed you. That said, if we're not writing and you're interested, drop me an ask/message. Please remember that this is a sideblog, and all likes/follow backs will be from my mun blog @mscattitude

My muse list has not changed by much. I removed Veronica (#hiddenfromsight) and added another DCAU muse, Ace (#aceinthehole). She will be aged up to her early twenties, and I will be writing my headcanon background for her soon.

I have a carrd for my rules and muses (again!). My OC info still leads to the google doc. Rules have been slightly updated, and I recommend you go give them a read.

I made some graphics for all my muses. I will occasionally use icons as well when the mood strikes me, but all the posts/threads involving my muses should have some graphics in them. If you'd prefer me not to use them with you specifically, drop me an ask/message.

I am finally using xkit! I am still learning how to, so be patient with me. But posts should be trimmed and more organized now.

What's still in the works?

I am still sorting through tags and clearing out some old ones which are unused. I might be making new ones, and I might be making a tag page for convenience, too. I may start using verse tags for long-standing relationships.

Update: Verse Page

So I've created a verse page to keep track of established verses for this blog. What this means is a list of shared canons and/or threads with very specific plotlines planned out. Here are the few I have set up so far in summary. I'll be tagging verses with "Verse: Name" but understand my RP partners are probably using their own tags or names.

This will likely be added to and updated somewhat consistently. If you want our threads to have a full declared "verse" just say so! I will also make a post detailing new verses/tags as they show up.

1) The last book I read:

Ghost Of by Diana Khoi Nguyen. This is a book of poetry I read for my Intro to Poetry class - it deals heavily with grief, having been written in the aftermath of the death of the author's brother, and if you like free verse, concrete poems, or stream-of-consciousness-like verse, this would definitely be something to check out. Also Othello by William Shakespeare :3

2) A book I recommend:

If We Were Villains by ML Rio! It's about a bunch of theatre kids going to an arts conservatory to study Shakespeare. People fuck, people do drugs, people get murdered, and like half the cast is gay and repressed about it. The prose is really vivid, and overall, I'm just super impressed with the story and the characters Rio created!

3) A book that I couldn’t put down:

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I know this is a Vampire Chronicles blog so that seems rather obvious but I truly was captivated by this book. Checking it out from the library was one of the best decisions I ever made.

4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):

I'm going to cheat for this one and do a play instead: Hamlet by William Shakespeare. I first read it in school in junior high, then again on my own my sophomore year of high school, and I've flipped through it several times since then. As much as I love other Shakespeare plays like Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet, I never seem to run out of things to say about Hamlet. It's just so rich.

5) A book on my TBR:

Ohhhh soooo many sdljkfklfjasklfsjlkjfskl. But my friend gifted me Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M Danforth for my birthday and I figure I should get around to it at some point 😅

6) A book I’ve put down:

A year or two ago, my mother came home from Target with Ramses the Damned: The Reign of Osiris by Anne and Christopher Rice, because she saw our goth mom's name and figured I'd appreciate it since I like the Vampire Chronicles. It's not the first in the series, and I was having a hard time connecting to these random new characters, so I closed the book after a few pages and it's been sitting untouched on my bookshelf ever since 😅

7) A book on my wish list:

Every year for my birthday and Christmas I ask for one or two Shakespeare plays because I want to collect the full set (of all the ones I'm interested in LOL). Next on the list is The Comedy of Errors.

8) A favorite book from childhood:

Ummmm I'm trying to think. I have an abridged version of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott that I read several times in fifth and sixth grade, so I'll go with that. (hilariously, I remember almost nothing about the plot of the book now)

9) A book you would give to a friend:

I'll go with Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen because that is currently the book that I have been badgering my bestie to read lol

10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own

The aforementioned Ghost Of but also Girl's Guide to Leaving by Laura Villareal, also something I read for my poetry class, and also something I would totally recommend!

11) A nonfiction book you own:

So many, mostly for school. Gender: Ideas, Interactions, Institutions by Lisa Wade and Myra Marx Feree (3rd edition) is something I bought for my sociology of gender class a few semesters ago, and I would highly recommend! It is very enlightening and full of interesting facts.

12) What are you currently reading:

Blood Canticle by Anne Rice! It's wacky as fuck but you know what, I'm actually enjoying myself. I just haven't gotten very far because I'm super busy with school this semester so I haven't had as much time to read for pleasure sadtoad.jpg

13) What are you planning on reading next?

The next play my Shakespeare class is reading is The Taming of the Shrew, so I guess technically that sfdasffasdf. For VC, I'll move on to Prince Lestat after finishing BCan.

{out of dalmasca} Just FYI, I randomly overhauled my pinned post and some other things for this blog even though I'm not schedule to be here today. It was long overdue, heh. The way I write/organize muses on this blog has changed a lot, and I wanted to include at least something on the Dark!Ivalice AU in the pinned post, since it is taking me forever to write that whole big behemoth of an AU up. Now it's more representative of how I've been running things here for any new followers.

I also overhauled my other "about the blog," "about the mun," and "rules" pages a bit, because I realized most of them still contained outdated information, info only about Basch and no one else, and didn't include Fortress in my list of media I've checked out for FFXII. Basically, this blog just needed a good dusting from top to bottom, haha.

If you write with me very regularly on this blog, there isn't much different about it that you need to know, but I just wanted to let everyone know I changed it up a bit. All the "About" and "Verses" posts for the muses are still linked from my pinned post.

I wish I could just make this blog a FFXII multimuse, instead of dealing with "main," "side," and "alternate" muses. Working off a "current muses" list like over on my other mumu would better organized and less confusing for new followers. I love this url, though, and I'd hate to change it. I'd also have to change all the muse tags and reroute links to their "About" and "Verses" posts through a separate post, and I'm much too lazy to do that. I didn't plan on writing anyone else but Basch when I started this blog, that's the problem, haha, but I guess if this system works for all of you, I'll leave it the way it is. XD

In the meantime, if anyone notices anything wrong/outdated, any broken links, or thinks anything is particularly confusing as far as how all the info is organized on this blog, please let me know so I can fix it. =)

He's no Bully, He's my Friend - SangCheng but where JC is a dog and NHS is a homeless man on the streets who finds him, and they save each other along the way. This just gave me such warm fuzzied and I felt so proud with how I handled it.

After the Hallmark Movie Ends - SangCheng, JC and NHS have just been dumped by their significant others for small-town childhood sweethearts at Christmastime (sound familiar to anyone? lol) and meet over drinks at the airport while trying to get home.

Nie Sect Murder Tortoise-verse - There is one big fic "Tortoise Shells and Wedding Bells" that will be split into 2 fics (Part 1/Part 2) because another fic will take place in the middle of it time-wise - this one will involve... the Wen :D

A very kinky scenario featuring Nie Huaisang, a blindfolded and oblivious Jin Zixun, and an 'educational session' for soon-to-be bride Jiang Yanli.

I've been more open to taking chances with new ideas/pairings

I've been able to get myself to write regularly even when I'm not always in the mood

I've become a little more aware of when I'm doing certain things (like always talking about emotions in someone's eyes) and trying to see if there are other ways I can word them

I want to be more aware of when my Western/white POV might be inadvertently interfering with my portrayals of either ancient China or Chinese diaspora people in modern day AUs

I want to work on my art as well as my writing - am trying to get back into my acrylic painting and am using fandom as an excuse (will have 1 piece for the Reverse Big Bang and might have one or two more)

When it comes down to it, I am a multiship blog. I prefer writing with chemistry and I am happy to ship my muses with multiples of another, as each ship is set in it’s own ‘verse and does not cross with other ships ( unless discussed otherwise ).

I tend to be open to most ships, rivals, fluffy, one-sided, frenemies, bff’s - however, I am very new to writing graphically detailed toxic/abusive ships, as i haven't had the chance to write such problematic muses in the past, but I can currently do basic writing on the material!
