“ you learn to control it yet? ”  being appointed jughead’s unofficial babysitter had been the last thing he’d wanted --- but who was he to tell fp jones no, right? sweet pea hadn’t had a choice, when it came down to it, and that was what set his teeth on edge about this whole thing. if jughead had come to him and asked for his help? he would’ve offered it freely, because he wasn’t the complete asshole people liked to make him out to be, and he remembered what the first few changes felt like. how alone he’d been. but having his choice taken away has left him brusque and snappish; he hasn’t been helping jughead, so much as he’s been shoving him, hard, in the right direction with a firm hand.  “ ‘cause you know we’re gonna have to put you down if you don’t get that shit locked down, and soon, jones. ”  that’s a lie, and not a good one, but say it with enough menace and people will believe anything.
