vlogs about everything, most of the time captures only his face with the shaky front camera phone

always has some of his friends in the videos - whether they consent to it or not

as soon as Luffy started hitting bigger numbers, Nami got involved

- “Oi, Luffy, do you know how much money you could make on this?!”

she’s both fascinated and deeply terrified as to how Luffy even got that many subscribers in the first place - most of the videos consisted of a shaking view of Luffy’s nostrils and his loud voice reporting every little thing he does at the moment, as well as teasing all of his friends

after countless arguments, Nami settles for adding ads only at the start and the end of the video (as opposed to slapping them every 2 minutes)

merely enjoying a random video he found is enough for Luffy to try and make a collab with the youtuber behind said video - thanks to that, his channel is filled with various topics and lots of unrelated communities

Usually they just steal his camera and zoom in on him when they’re on a camping trip in a forest; they title the video as “lonely man wanders around in the woods - he attacks us at the end!”

at the beginning, Law asked Shachi to be his editor, but since he always cut out the parts where Law started speaking, he went to Nami instead - she agreed to be his temporary editor (not for free, of course) until Law learns editing himself

after a lot of preparation with fittings, readings, rehersals, and everything in between, you were finally shooting today. you and the cast had excitedly texted back and forth in the group chat but rudy made sure he also texted you on the side as he was eager to still get to know you.

you, madelyn, and madison sat in the makeup and hair trailer, gushing about the scenes you were shooting today and how excited you guys were to just be in south carolina and have fun like they did last year.

“did you see the tiktok i sent you?” madison asked madelyn, giggling and glancing at you because you were the once to convince madison to send it in the first place. madelyn glared at the two of you snickering, as she rolled her eyes but couldn’t fight back the giggle.

“yes! i did! i see them everywhere. ‘relax b john, i have a gutter, get you’re head out of the brother’ or ‘it’s not like i’ve never seen a gutter before, get your head out of your ass john b’, they literally fill up my page!” madelyn responded, laughing her ass off. you guys were referring to the hundreds of tiktoks that mocked that line in the first season. you threw your headback in laughter, tears coming out of your eyes. your hairdresser lola glared at you playfully and placed your head forward again because you kept interrupting her. you blew her a kiss in the mirror as a joke and she laughed.

“you guys are something else..” she trailed off, a huge smile upon her face.

“are you nervous for today (y/n/n)?” madison turned to you and asked. you let your cheeks fill up with air before letting the breath out slowly, in deep thought. you hated to say it but you were literally terrified. you didn’t want to be the reason that a scene that should’ve taken maybe 60 minutes at most to shoot could take longer because you weren’t working to your full potential. “i’ll take that hesitation as a yes..”

“i just don’t wanna fuck up. like no one does, but if i did it on my first day it would be all i think about.” you responded, twidling with your thumbs.

“you did amazing at the table read and great at rehearsals, you’re gonna do great today.” madeyln smiled, reassuring you. “especially......because your first scene is with rudy today.” she smirked, sending a wink your way.

you felt your face grow hot and cowered in your seat slightly, but not enough that lola couldn’t continue working on your hair. you and rudy had been texting nonstop ever since you guys left the restaraunt after the first table read. you have to admit, he was very flirty but you always seemed to psych yourself out because you caught on that he was just an outgoing and friendly guy. but madison and madelyn snapped you back to reality that he wouldn’t play footsie’s with just anyone or constantly text them if it wasn’t something that crossed his mind.

someone with an earpiece, walkie talkie, and clipboard walked onto the trailer saying that he needed you and madison for a scene. as sarah and john b were in the bahamas, you guys weren’t getting any scenes with them for a little while. you walked out of the trailer with string bracelets and other accessories practically covering your wrists, neck, and ankle to make you look more summer-y and pogue like. you walked towards where you guys were shooting a scene in the wreck and placed the apron around your body, talking to madison.

“lady pogue! baby pogue!” you heard a familiar boy yell and you turned around to see rudy and jonathan. jonathan had on a green tshirt and grey cargo shorts, accessorized with a beaded necklace and a hat on backwards. you pulled him in for a hug first until he was pulled away suddenly. before you knew it, you were in rudy’s arms being given probably the best hug in the world. you giggled and looked up at him as you pulled away.

“you just couldn’t resist me, i get it.” you joked and raised your eyebrows. rudy laughed and let a smirk grow onto his makeup-bruised face.

“how’d you know?” he responded somewhat sarcastically. you rolled your eyes and pushed him away playfully, in doing so you admired his arms as he wore a white tanktop and backwards hat as well.

“you guys ready to get started?” you all heard jonas yell out and you let out a deep, nervous breath and nodded.

“you got this, (y/n).” madison reassured you, rubbing your arm lightly before the three of them got into their spots at a table at the wreck. you fixed your hair slightly, hiding your script from plain shot of the camera and tightened in apron that wrapped around your waist.

juliet walked towards the group of three pogues sitting at a picnic table at the wreck. she had just moved to the outer banks with her parents and brother for some business thing that involved her parents and real estate. however, whatever sum of money her family had didn’t stop her from finding a job and getting out to do her own thing. nick carrera was kind enough to give a sixteen year old girl with no restaraunt experience a shot at waitressing at the wreck. he said it wasn’t difficult and that his daughter, kiara, had fun.

juliet had worked a couple of shifts with kiara and they had fun but juliet didn’t want to over step her boundaries. her next table to serve was kiara and her two friends, jj and pope? juliet couldn’t remember if that was their names or not. kiara had talked about them but said that it had been a couple of months since they’ve seen each other because they lost two friends at sea. juliet decided it was probably still a touchy subject and didn’t want to invade anymore in fear of upsetting kiara.

however, kiara did mention that she had not seen pope or jj in a long time. juliet wasn’t sure if they had agreed to take some space or they drifted apart because of the lost friends. so when juliet saw kiara sitting at a table with two boys that fit the descriptions of her old friends, it clicked in her head. they looked like they were in a deep conversation and she thought maybe she should give them a second instead of interrupting them for a simple drink order. juliet shook her head to snap out those thoughts and walked up to the trio.

“hey kie, anything i can get for you guys to drink?” she built up the courage to ask, giving a small smile to the trio with her pen and paper in hand.

“just waters good for me, juliet. boys?” kiara started, sending a kind smile back to her.

“same here.” pope brought up, fiddling with his fingers as it was clear they were in the middle of a deep conversation. juliet lowered her head to write on the paper and felt a wave of regret wash over her because she felt bad for interrupting the rekindling group.

“juliet? like romeo and juliet?” jj asked, looking at juliet with a small smirk on his face. juliet took a second to take in the fact that the blond kid in front of her face was bruised and cut up. he clearly fucked with the wrong people, probably kooks from old stories kiara had told her on break one day. juliet nodded with an awkward smile.

“like shakespeare intended.” juliet responded, fixing her hair slightly as a natural mannerism.

“got a romeo? or do you want one?” jj replied with a wink. even in character, you felt your cheeks get hot because if you remembered the script correctly, that was not rudy’s line. he improvised. as you all played off that improvised line, kiara kicked jj from under the table which jj didn’t hesistate to flinch and rub his shin. “fiesty...”

kiara looked up at juliet, sending her an uncomfortable smile in a way of saying ‘sorry for him, he’s always this stupid’. “he’ll just take a water.” kiara flat out said because jj just failed to respond to juliet’s initial question.

“on the rocks!” jj joked to ease the awkwardness as juliet walked back towards the wreck to fetch them their drinks.

you heard the director yell cut and let your body somewhat relax from it’s on screen state and turned back around. “cute line, rudy! s’all you got?” you hollered over towards the trio, as you walked towards them.

“c’mon, you gotta admit, that was funny. i had to make it a little more authentic!” rudy defended himself with his hands up. you rolled your eyes and shoved him slightly on the shoulder for almost messing you up on the first day if it wasn’t for the rest of the cast who played along so well. you let your elbow rest on his shoulder, exchanging a couple of words between madison, johnathan, and rudy in between takes. now you understood what all the hype was about.

after a long day at work, you packed up your backpack in your trailer, pulling your charger out of the socket. as you glanced around one last time, making sure you didn’t forget anything you heard a knock at your door.

“come in!” you hollered out, although you didn’t let your eyes leave the surrounding areas.

“hey.” you recognized the voice as rudy’s and felt your heart flutter lightly and looked up at him. his rosy cheeks and messy blond hair almost made you melt on the spot.

“what’s up?” you asked, throwing your backpack over your shoulder and grabbing your phone. rudy took a couple of slow steps towards you and now you two were basically inches away from each other.

“i was wondering if you were up for dinner tonight?” rudy asked, rubbing the back of his neck. he was clearly nervous, but for what?

“yeah i’m down! what do the rest of the group have in mind?” you responded, pretty obliviously. rudy let out a big breath because he thought he had gotten the hard part over with.

“actually, i was thinking you could come around to mine and i could cook something....like y’know. just the....two of us?” rudy responded, his face slowly growing red as he avoided eye contact with you.

a huge smile grew on your face and you saw as rudy slightly relaxed himself as maybe this was a good sign. “like...a date?” you answered. you felt bad that maybe you were egging it on more and making him clearly more stressed but you needed that clarification for yourself.

“uh, that’s what i had in mind?” rudy stated, with his eyebrows raised. you lifted on your tippy toes and placed a kiss on his cheek. as you took a step back, you stared into his blue eyes and smiled.

“a date it is.” you answered. you never in your life thought that you would have the confidence to do that, so it wasn’t a surprise that your heart was racing fast and your hands felt sweaty.

you walked past him and opened the door to the trailer before turning back. “you coming or what?” you asked.

rudy did not even hesitate to follow after you.

Diavolo as a Dad

I just want to take a sec and thank everyone for the attention this blog gets. I’m always surprised at how many notes and reblogs there are. Seriously! I have, like, 16 posts and somehow I have 400 followers?! It’s really nice (つ´∀｀)つ

I like it best when there’s comments. It makes me happy ＼(^o^)／

I saw a comment on “The Bros as Dads” post asking for Diavolo as a dad, so here you go. I tried to tag you, but your handle didn’t come up :/

Hopefully you guys like this. I feel like Diavolo’s character is very vague.

This kind of turned into general Diavolo headcanons + Diavolo as a Dad. My b.

General Diavolo Headcanons:

I headcanon that demons have a natural attraction to humans not only because of whatever energy they could provide, but because there’s something innate that makes them want humans. Maybe like an ancient call to their corruptibility or something. Or simply a predator coaxing prey into the den.

Diavolo is especially susceptible to this because he’s the prince. The higher up in the demon hierarchy you are, the more you want humans for their spirit, purity, the soul contract, and just some kind of satisfaction only they can give

There’s probably a forbidden fruit element to it, too. Demons were harassed by humans and angels alike to leave them be, and that just made them more attractive

He genuinely wanted to befriend humans and knock down some old walls and superstitions, so he made the exchange program. A lot of times the sheer excitement of making it happen is enough to take the edge off his demon side. Ignore the whispers saying the little human would be such a treat, like a little lamb in the palm of his hand...

Diavolo’s a pretty outgoing and friendly guy who’s been trapped in a castle of propriety and demands. This human is also his chance at escape, to learn more than books could ever teach him.

At first he’s worried about seducing them (like the old call demands) but when he realizes the human has a crush on him without that influence, he’s stoked.

Pure and perfect, right? THE example of what his program was trying to achieve!

The dates start off innocent and cute--studying and tea in the castle, a small brunch here and there. Diavolo has skipped out on several duties because he simply must treat you to Devildom cuisine! If he didn’t, they wouldn’t get the full experience now, would they?

Barbatos has had to hunt down Lord Diavolo more than he cared for. If you end up convincing Diavolo back to the castle, he respects you. He appreciates the extra babysitter.

You bring a joy to Diavolo’s lavish monotony and he wants the Devildom and human world to know he’s serious about forging better bonds, so he asks if you want to make a pact.

That’s what he says, but it’s so much more than that. Diavolo couldn’t put it all into words and you probably don’t have the lifespan it would take for him to explain (if he could).

At most, there’s something warm and giddy and pulsing in him at the thought of being so close with you. Two souls sharing a bond. Being looked at with such love and adoration...

His pact mark is large and elaborate, and he takes great joy in hiding it from the Devildom, relishing the rare mornings where he helps you dress. He doesn’t regret bonding with you, but he doesn’t want to draw unsavory attention.

Diavolo as a Dad (when you’re pregnant) :

You realize you’re pregnant before Barbatos and Diavolo do, neither one of them very familiar with how humans carry the pregnancy or change throughout.

There’s subtle signs about how your skin is changing, the way your hair looks, and how you smell different. It’s firing off in Diavolo’s brain, tickling at the edge of it, but he can’t figure out what it is.

Barbatos consulted Solomon and got extra suspicious. When you realize he’s starting to put it together, you do the reveal.

You write a note and draw a picture of the pregnancy test, mixing it up in the papers he has to review. Then, just to be extra cute, you busy yourself about the castle to “give him private time”.

Diavolo is handling his paperwork, per usual (it’s almost automatic). The unofficial form catches his eyes since it’s more a note than anything. He reads it and suddenly the WHOLE CASTLE is up in arms with joy.

Doesn’t matter what room you’re in, you heard him. That big, joyful laugh that works his whole chest.

The Little D’s of the castle are skittering around and whooshing through walls to help him find you. You can hear him flying around and calling for you, and it’s like the times you’ve played hide and seek.

The second Diavolo finds you, he crushes you to him and smothers you with kisses. His eyes sparkle as he snuggles you, big purr rolling through his chest. He’s asking a million questions about human children

The two of you take classes together. He studies up on humans and you learn about how to care for demon babies.

Barbatos cries inside at the thought of baby-proofing the castle. He gets the bright idea to hire a bunch of moms and they do sweeps of the castle, tidying up and making lists of what needs to be put away or added to make it safe

You’re given a special brew (exclusive to the royal family) and drink it daily. It fortifies your body to deliver the child and gives the baby its royal heritage (basically makes sure Diavolo’s genes and the demon side comes out a bit stronger).

Even though it tastes good and something in it makes you want to drink it, you’re sick of it by the second month. Barbatos and Diavolo continue to insist that you do. The child should be at least half-demon and will need to be recognized as next-of-kin for ruling.

Diavolo would love to take you out to socialize and attend public classes, but he’s busy and you’re in a delicate state. The royal physicians say the brew does a lot internally so it’s best not to stress you too much (If he’d done The King’s Brew ritual before you were pregnant, the baby would’ve been 3/4th demon and you wouldn’t have so many restrictions. Who knew?)

There’s a lot of private dates around the royal gardens and any beautiful sight he can give you. If you want company, he invites people to you. You want exquisite food? Barbatos can cook, but if you don’t want his cooking then Diavolo can have it delivered. The castle is spacious enough for you to get your daily exercise with simple walks.

He adores seeing you in the royal colors and is constantly sharing visions of diaphanous gowns and anything that can make you comfortable to the designers. Always gushes when he sees you in something new.

Being an old-fashioned demon prince, he does a series of small oil paintings instead of maternity photos. When you explain that maternity photos are more of a human thing, he books a session so the child can see both (the oil paintings are tasteful and appropriate for the castle but they all end up in his study).

Is totally on board with helping you dress (or laying in bed with your huge baby bump when clothes seem a bit hard for the next 5-10 minutes), and taking long, relaxing baths.

Takes his paperwork to bed so he can watch you sleep. You might snore, and the bed is almost comically huge, but you look so relaxed that Diavolo swears you lied to him about being purely human

His favorite thing to do is rub ointments and tinctures on your belly to help your skin. Loves to give you shoulder kisses while he does.

When he finds out you’re having a boy, he commissions tiny matching outfits. He doesn’t know if he wants to gush over the details or cry (”Barbatos, how inconceivably tiny! Isn’t it amusing?”)

Diavolo as a Dad (for real) :

Has to be given very explicit instructions about age-appropriate play because the minute the kid is crawling Diavolo’s going to want to play with him like a toddler.

Lets him teethe on old antique gold stuff that gives Mammon an aneurysm when he realizes what the kid’s doing (and how expensive the thing is in his hands).

Had a treasure chest-style bassinet comissioned because his kid is his treasure. One of the two--two and a half, with Barbatos--greatest treasures in his castle.

100% uses the kids to shirk his royal duties, but you and Barbatos keep him on a tight leash. Literally. He has a coupon allotment for the week (if you didn’t do the coupon thing he’d NEVER get any work done).

He LIVES for the skin-to-skin contact and is very disappointed when he has to put clothes back on for guests or meetings. He’s just doing what’s best for his son, okay?

That child is going to be spoiled AF. Always wanting to be held or next to his papa.

Diavolo isn’t allowed to do the chest carrier because he gets so excited about stuff he might sling the kid around on accident (Barbatos banned it after he held the baby through some paperwork and spent half the time playing with his feet).

Can never get over how tiny his son is, or how he can hold him in one hand. Somehow works it into every conversation.

Will work his kid into every conversation. Has pictures to go along with it.

His official Devilgram is 80% his kid or you (or both), 5% Barbatos, 5% other people, and 10% bad shots he doesn’t know how to delete.

Almost all of his Devilgram videos were taken by Barbatos because Diavolo absolutely loses it when the baby speaks gibberish. He dies laughing and just can’t hold it together. The video is just shaky and blurry otherwise.

You’d think every time he sees him is the first time because Diavolo is so smitten and amazed

The Little D’s of the castle are always giggling to themselves and racing to tell you that they caught Diavolo peppering kisses on his little baby forehead or fists.

He’s a really involved and happy dad. Childlike and joyful by nature, he’s super invested in his kid. Sometimes it’s like you have two, but Diavolo means well.

Decent at all reverse psychology ploys. Kid doesn’t want mommy’s affection? More for him! Kid’s not hungry? He’ll eat it, then (and the dessert that they totally can’t have now)!

Can’t really discipline. Feels too guilty. Threatens the child with Barbatos or you.

-> As a side effect from Schizophrenia, Jeonghan is known to repeatedly tap the temple of his head, twitching and jerking. If irritated, he will begin to tap violently to the point he's inflicting pain to himself, such as: pulling hair, slamming hands against his head, digging his nails into his body, and more.

-> His past is a very sensitive topic for him. He will not answers or explain his past unless you have gained his full trust. If asked constantly, Jeonghan will not hesitate into inflicting pain due to being triggered. So do NOT question his past until close with him.

-> Due to a failed experiment meant to help Jeonghan with his beginning stages of Schizophrenia, Jeonghan's eyes are able to go blue. This being referred by all members as, "blue eyes." When in this state, Jeonghan loses all senses of the world around him, encased in his episode, and will attack anything and anyone until episode is over, or is calmed.

-> Joshua is one of the friendliest members in The Purple Rose. He's easier to approach, but do not underestimate him. Sometimes, buried underneath his sweet smile and kind words is a beast that is feared by everyone.

-> Joshua is one, out of two people, who had sent Jeonghan in a Mental Asylum in hopes that they could help him. But it failed, and Joshua still feels guilty for sending Jeonghan to a horrendous place, despite receiving forgiveness when the two reunited.

-> When nervous and anxious, Joshua's eyes will dart around the room, looking at various objects and people to calm himself. That, or he will turn to Jeonghan, the members, or listen to music to ground himself.

-> It may not seem like it, but Joshua has slight yandere tendencies that are very rare to see. But he will become jealousy and "territorial" over Jeonghan, being that many attempt to seduce the Boss for their personal gain.

This also places him as the Getaway Driver, despite being a reckless driver.

-> Seokmin can be easily persuaded if lured into the trap by the right bait. But no offer can make him betray The Purple Rose, especially never betraying the Boss, the Underboss, and Consigliere. He follows their orders strictly, despite bending the rules.

-> Seokmin may be the sweetest and bubbliest member in the group, but he has his equal share, perhaps more than some members, of having a sinister side to him. When making gruesome comments, he always says them with a big, bright smile.

People have always underestimated Oogie Boogie. They always thought of them as the bug dude from Halloween Town or someone who was all about betting odds. For instance, no one believed he could have a family or that they could have his own business and have it be a success. But look at them now. Having raised their own kids, as well as running a “loaning business” on the Isle, Oogie has proved everyone wrong.

Oogie’s known to be a ruthless, hardworking family-person on the Isle and that’s the exact type of reputation they wants to keep. But don’t forget, Oogie is a villain. More than that, they’re pure evil. While everything seems to be all good fun on the surface of their business…what happens behind the scenes is a completely different story. People who rack up too high of a debt, those who come to them for loans and never pay up, or anyone who just crosses Oogie or they’re family the wrong way, tend to find themselves face to face with the truth of who they really is, how much a villain they could really be. If they’re lucky, they get to leave with a few scrapes, bruises, and broken bones but most…most never leave at all.

Its known fact that Oogie’s someone who is working closely with the villains in hopes that once they take over Auradon, Oogie would mosey on over to Halloween Town and do the same. Information and power is key in their eyes and as such, if you ever want to know anything about anyone or something is needed to be done in the shadows, they’re who you go to. Oogie likes to hold all the cards as they say

I N F O R M A T I O N

Eris was born one gloomy day after her mother had a drunken night with Oogie nine months prior. She doesn’t have much care for who her mother is since she practically abandoned her when she was a young child as she wanted nothing to do with Oogie thanks to their reputation. They aren’t exactly the kindest person and everyone on the Isle knows it. She is the one of four kids that they have Practically spoiled her rotten since she birth.

She knows all about the business they runs and what they does on the side. And sure it scares some but to her, she just thinks they’re someone who knows who they are and what they want, that they’ll do anything to get it. the violence and evil of it never scared as a kid and she grew up with being a norm to her.

Grew up on the stories of Halloween Town and honestly thinks it neat, wants to live there cuz who wouldn’t want too. Hates the Skellington crew, daddy dearest has basically pushed the idea into her since a kid and so if she ever crosses one of them, she won’t hesitate to fight them. She developed a love for many things but the two top are causing mischief and baking; with the latter being something she has done since she was a child

Eris practically embraces her villain side. Face of an Angel with devilish intentions is what is said about her. She’ll pretend to be kind and such but its mostly all for fun or if she has something to gain. Though with some people, particularly VKs, it’ll be a more genuine interaction or as genuine it could be. Is very much proud to be a VK and spent most of her childhood causing all sorts of trouble on the Isle knowing she could get away with it. Pick-pocketing, lock-picking, stealing and anything in those skills sets is something she learned early on how to do. So if something goes missing after having a conversation with her, chances are she has the item. If she does like you though, just know she will be gifting you many sweets she had baked herself.

Tends to be run by her emotions so watch out for her temper. She also has a jovial mind that tends to lead her into getting into situations so if she talks alot or ask alot of questions, just know its because she wants to know as much as she can. The thing about her is that while she is outgoing and funny, she is also very good at being chaotic. She practically rode the wave of everything that has happened, not really picking a side and just happy to cause mayhem to someone that’s not her friends.

She has a way of being to talk to others and getting them to spill things, she says its because she has a face that looks like she is good at keeping secrets. Whether it be her overhearing things or threatening people, its what she does and since coming to Auradon, she has continue doing the same thing. Knowing full well that the villains succeeded, Eris will most likely be on their side as long as it serves her and her family, ready to offer her services to act as eyes and ears for them or get shit done for them if they don’t want to get their hands dirty too much.

M I S C

Currently she is part of the villains and has pledge her loyalty to Uma, for the time being. Eris has been living her life for the past four years causing trouble to mostly AKs (and some VKs!). She travels back in forth between Auradon and Isle doing what she has always been doing but knows the whispers of a rebellion has her quite intrigue and can’t wait to see what other mayhem can occur. works part time as a baker at a cafe that caters to VKs though her version of working probably isn’t the best and its a miracle she hasn’t been fired yet.

Connections wise:

looking for friends - either from childhood, in general, etc.

platonic soulmate - her ride or die, the one person who most likely has to try all her crazy baking inventions, etc.

maybe someone who she has information and extorting them in some way, etc..

benny's RWBY rewrite: the main 4

heya, i told y'all i'd be back on this pretty fast. truth be told, this is a rough transcription of my notes app from like 4am last night, because my brain wouldn't let me sleep until i wrote all of this down somewhere. just ADHD things, i guess.

anyway, let's get into the girls!

ruby rose:

- the youngest of the main 4, ruby is characterized by her naive nature contrasted with her combat prowess. i think that part of the allure the "red" trailer had was a new demographic being exposed to the idea of a little girl in a frilly skirt absolutely bodying a bunch of hell monsters. this contrast is one of the most striking elements of her character, at least in my opinion. i want to lean into this and have ruby be filled with conflict. she's described time and time again as a masterful wielder of an extremely dangerous weapon, and i think contrasting this solo power with an inability to make strategic and high-stakes decisions could be interesting. especially when forced into a leadership position, i'd love to see ruby grow into a child with a deadly weapon, to a leader with a deadly weapon.

- ruby's friendly and outgoing nature is one of her most defining traits, along with her optimism. she sees the good in everyone she comes across, and does her best to make sure that everyone is happy. nothing against her, but ruby isn't the most wise (using the D&D definition of the term). however, i think that she should be somewhat comparable to deku. she built her own weapon and taught herself how to use it, so i don't think it would be out of character for her to do something similar to velvet, taking notes of the interaction between people's semblances, weapons, and fighting styles. this plays into her strategic evolution- the more training she has in understanding how people fight, the better she can direct her allies and teammates.

- (for this section, i'm assigning names to the combo of ideas i describe) real roses rot: ruby is an idealist at heart. she wants to be a huntress because she wants to fight monsters and help people, and the simplicity of this desire speaks to her naivety as a character. she knows what she wants to be, but not yet what she has to be. as the series goes on, ruby should realize that life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, saving people and fighting monsters. sometimes, sacrifices have to be made, and sometimes the monsters look like friends. she has to learn that real roses rot eventually.

- silver eyes: i think that ruby's eyes have a lot of potential as a symbol. ignoring for the moment the fact that ruby's silver eyes literally mark her as a grim-killing machine, her eyes are a crucial part of her character. what she sees in people, the good that she's able to find in others, defines her. her inability to see the sacrifices that need to be made, and the evil in the people around her, should be something she overcomes.

weiss schnee:

- the resident ice queen, what struck me most about weiss at the beginning of the series was her awareness. ironically enough, the only other member of her team as aware of her place as she is is blake. she is extremely cognizant of the expectations placed upon her by her father, and by the SDC as a whole. thus, she is a perfectionist, but judges herself the most harshly. this perfection is evident in everything about her- her fighting style is precise, ballet-inspired, and clean. similarly to her struggle with her familial expectations, she struggles with the family semblance. i think that this struggle has the potential to symbolize a lot for weiss. exiting the bubble of high-class atlesian life presents a lot of struggles for weiss, some of which i'll get into later.

- weiss comes off as cold, and sometimes can be just plain mean, but this comes from a constant awareness of the fact that she is being watched. where her older sister, winter, is the paragon of atlas' military might, she is expected to be a similar paragon for the hunting capabilities of the schnees. for her, a favorable image cannot be cultivated without perfection and control. control is paramount in weiss' character: she often uses the same techniques that her father used on her to attempt to control others, but she should learn that it is impossible to control people through fear for long (perhaps by learning not to fear her own father). when not in control, she struggles to take direction for two distinct reasons: because she doesn't agree with the directions or director, or she doesn't believe she can perform to her director's standards.

- stained snow: something that bothered me about weiss' character was how quickly the racist history of her history was forgotten by the people around her. while potentially very uncomfortable, i think it's important to show how weiss' upbringing and surroundings have clouded her judgement. while canonically a member of her family was killed by the white fang, i think it would be much more compelling for her family to have pinned the murder on a faunus to save face. in reality, the murder was a power grab for her family. she has to realize the role the oppression and violence against people has in the maintenance of her privilege. in having to interact with the people wronged by the oppression that was supported her lifestyle, she will be confronted with a question: does she even want to represent the schnee family, or does she want to try to change the course of her family history?

- golden voice: in her promo (as far as i recall), we hear singing in front of guests at a party we can assume her family has thrown. i think that her voice has a lot of symbolic potential: despite presumably having been forced to bend to the whims of her father, weiss is not afraid to speak her mind. i think that her struggles with her semblance should be overcome through the use of her voice. this serves a dual purpose- for one, it shows that she can use her powerful voice to affect positive change instead of negative. secondly, it shows that she doesn't need to abide by her family's standards in order to succeed.

blake belladonna:

- mysterious and aloof, blake is the member of the team with the most things to hide. the estranged ex of the leader of a violent sect of the white fang (not the whole thing, good christ), a faunus-in-hiding, and closeted trashy romance connoisseur, blake is somewhat defined by her secrets. despite her young age, her life has been marred by conflict, and rather than face these challenges head-on, she would much rather turn tail and run. she's been forced to give up pieces of herself to help others, and in spite of her proclivity to flee and her outward apathetic appearance, she is a deeply sensitive character, and cares deeply for the suffering of others.

- read by others as aloof and disinterested, this impression couldn't be further from the truth. blake is considerate, insightful, and kind, but builds up a wall around herself as a result of being burned and used too many times. it's exhausting to care as much as blake does, and it's easier to pretend that she just doesn't. this facade can't last forever, though. i don't think blake should lash out in anger or violence. i think she should try to run, and if she can't, she should crumble rather than explode.

- the burden of fixing things: as a means of protecting herself, blake has taken to masking her emotions and avoiding conflict at all costs. she ran away from adam and his sect of the white fang, runs away from her identity as a faunus, and hides behind a wall to protect herself. afraid to be consumed by emotion and emulate the monsters she fights against, she has to learn that apathy is more dangerous than emotion. she has to choose whether she wants to risk being hurt to help people, or risk being useless to keep herself out of harm's way.

- shadowed footprints: blake's fighting style is one of my favorites just because of how dynamic it is. however, i think that leaning into her use of kicks would allow for a powerful piece of symbolism. she literally leaves shadows behind as a part of her semblance, and she runs away from her problems a lot. but she has the potentially to do a lot of good when she decides to stand her ground. letting people in will make this task less frightening, but not any easier. in addition, i think this evolution should be accented with mixing her shadows with dust: launching frozen statues of herself at people as projectiles, running at people with flaming clones, things like that.

yang xiao long:

- ruby's older sister and the resident tank of the group, i kind of see yang like a much more concentrated version of ruby. as the older sister of a family marked by the absence of parents, she's gone through a lot. she had to step up when raven left and when summer died, and when tai was grieving. yang is kind of like katara, but instead of embracing the stricter part of maternal responsibility, she'd much rather pretend everything's fine to protect her sister from the sadness she was subjected to. yang surrounds herself with people because she's petrified of being abandoned again. she likes when people are close, and doesn't want them to leave.

- i'd call yang a herbo. not a bimbo, because she doesn't ooze traditional femininity, but a herbo because of her hard-headed and combative nature. she is hot-tempered and brash, prone to not thinking things through all the way, and being motivated by emotion rather than logic. her semblance is literally her being empowered by her anger. despite her caring nature, she tends to not think through what being ruled by emotion does to the people around her. she's more concerned with end results than the steps taken to reach them. she can push herself and others too far, and not know what she did wrong.

- controlled burn: as previously stated, yang is ruled by emotions- she fights when she's angry, cries when she's sad, and radiates joy when she's happy. however, she is often so blinded by her overwhelming emotions that she fails to consider the consequences of her actions. yang should have trouble controlling her semblance, specifically when it activates, and should burn hot and fast. combat-wise, she should ironically have the least stamina of all of her teammates, opting to take people down as quickly as possible to combat this. however, as she learns to be more considerate and thoughtful, she should be able to control her semblance. she gains the ability to burn slower, storing energy until the perfect moment to strike.

- open palms: yang punches people a lot. a lot. i think it'd be fun if she leaned into giving people slugs in the shoulder as a sign of affection. she uses her hands in combat to keep enemies away from the people she cares about. she should also use these hands to keep the people close to her nearby. grabbing people's clothing to stop them from leaving, shaking hands with friends, maybe even kissing the hand of her love interest. yang should use the same hands she clenches into fiery fists to embrace the friends and family she has.

Mistaken Identity, Episode 9 of The Thief of Spades, Season 2 (rated T)

:D You can expect the next few chapters or so to be a return to the same sort of style/format that the first chapters of season 1 were. It’s just to kinda get the story flowing. I’m kinda hoping that although this fic is UKUS, it’s coming across as more complex than just a shippy fic. Alfred and Arthur have complex relationships with other characters too. Particularly Alfred and Matthew.

Rating: T Warnings: None Summary: Matt contemplates his life and Alfred the unsolvable puzzle as he pulls off an assignment for the enigmatic thief. Word Count: ~1000

Matthew sits on a bench just outside the museum, trying to quell the butterflies in his stomach. The assignment is so simple and as usual, Alfred has planned for everything so it’s not even dangerous. Is this how Alfred feels before a heist? Matthew imagines not. Alfred is so cool and collected all the time. He probably shuts his emotions completely down before committing a crime.

Matthew certainly isn’t very practiced at that. He’s a very even-keeled person, he likes to think, but a high stress situation for him took the shape of an exam or a presentation or teaching an unruly class of undergraduates… until he met Alfred, that is.

Why would Alfred even put up with it?

Why is the question the grad student keeps asking himself in relation to the thief. Alfred is charming and enigmatic, clearly intelligent, handsome (if Matt says so himself), outgoing and friendly.

Why steal? Why steal anything when surely the world would hand itself on a silver platter to someone like Alfred?

Matthew does what he can to keep his curiosity in check. There has to be some reason, but he believes Alfred when the thief says the less Matthew knows, the better.

He rubs his right thumb over the back of his left hand and breathes. The assignment is simple. All Matt has to do is wander the museum for awhile, letting the cameras catch him and wait. If, after half an hour, no one has approached him, Alfred had said to leave, go home, and not think about it anymore.

As if not thinking about it were possible.

Sometimes imagining Alfred’s life is all Matt can think about. It isn’t anything more than Alfred being exasperatingly mysterious—a puzzle with no solutions, despite what Gilbert says, not that Matthew has really told Gil anything, but he is detective sergeant, after all. Matthew had ended up saying that there was a weird rich guy who had become very interested in Matthew’s team’s research. Gilbert still ribs him about a potential crush, knowing full well how much Matt loves him.

Matt doesn’t really know how to tell him that that would just be outrageously narcissistic and creepy as hell.

He has thought about asking Gilbert who Alfred is. Gilbert works with theft and robbery cases all the time, he would have to know something.

But Alfred made a deal with Matt and he’s more than held up his end so far.

Matthew stands up and head toward the doors of the museum. Surely, the less he knows, the better.

He buys a ticket and wanders through the various exhibits, wondering which one, if any, Alfred is interested in. Matt can’t help but think that it’s the gem exhibit, on loan from the Gem-A. He chuckles to himself as he can only imagine Alfred being the sort to obsess over “shiny things.”

At around the twenty-minute mark, Matthew notices one of the guards has begun to follow him. The guard is mostly discreet, but Matt had been expecting it. He remembers Alfred’s instructions:

“If they approach you, just stay calm and do whatever they ask. They’ll probably only ask for your ID so they can scan it. I’ve made you an exact replica, but this one has randomized information on it. Leave your real one at home so you won’t get them mixed up. They won’t have good reason to hold you, so once they let you go, hang around for about ten minutes and then head out.”

“Why am I doing this, again?”

Alfred had frowned slightly. “I just want to see how good their facial recognition software is and if they have me flagged.”

Matthew continues wandering around, trying his best to remain calm and act as though he doesn’t notice that he’s being followed.

“Pardon me, sir,” the guard finally approaches him, holding an electronic device in his hand. “Would you come with me for a moment?”

Matt nods and follows him. “May I ask what this is about?” he says once they’re in a more secluded part of the museum.

“I’m sure it’s nothing, sir. Might I see your identification?”

Matthew hands him the replica of his Oxford ID and allows him to scan it.

The device makes a few beeping noises and then a chime. The guard looks up from it and smiles politely. “As I suspected, a mere case of mistaken identity. Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Daniels, please enjoy the museum.”

Matt smiles back in kind as the guard hands him his fake ID, responding to the name as if it were his own. “Thank you.” He wanders off, choosing to browse a sculpture exhibit instead. He realizes that it would probably raise suspicion if he left immediately. He pulls out his phone to text Alfred.

I was followed and then they asked for my ID. Took them about twenty minutes.

Alfred replies very quickly,

That’s what I needed to know. thanks Matt.

After about fifteen minutes or so, Matthew strolls out of the museum with some elevated measure adrenaline rushing through him. Is this what Alfred feels like when he’s pulled off a heist? He can admit that it does feel kind of… exciting.

He walks to the train station, breathing steadily. He reminds himself of his own life, of his job at the university, his studies, his boyfriend. These things calm him, make him feel warm and happy. Let Alfred keep the excitement.

Arthur looks up as an analyst pops her head in the door. He’s alone in the conference room Gabriel and Alice are using as a base. “Yes?”

“Just thought you’d like to know, Inspector. Facial recognition caught Jones at a museum with a gem exhibit.”

“Was he apprehended?” Arthur asks evenly, though excitement bubbles up in his stomach.

“No, it turned out to be a false alarm, actually.”

“Really? But that’s not terribly uncommon, isn’t it?”

“Facial recognition is always improving, but you’re correct. I have the name of the person who apparently bares enough resemblance to Jones to be flagged though, if you want it.”

“Ah, yes, of course.”

“Bryan Daniels. Twenty-three years old, he’s on a student visa from the US doing graduate work at Oxford. The guard’s scanner doesn’t seem to have picked up an image, but those things can be so tricky.”

Arthur scribbles the information down. “Thank you, that’s good to know.” The analyst leaves and Arthur looks at the name scrawled on his paper. Bryan Daniels. It can’t be a coincidence that he so closely resembles Alfred.

Arthur sighs. What is Alfred planning now?

A4. what things are they bad at? for Milia

So Milia is supposed to be pretty well rounded as a Buoyant Armiger. Like she has to be good in a fight, but she also has to be well read, etc. And then I couldn't think of that many skills that one could be good or bad at so I had to enlist @daggerfall for ideas. (And then I landed on something else entirely but the brainstorming was still v helpful!)

First, I think she struggled a bit with the "poet" side of the warrior-poet balance when she first joined the Armigers. Like she's a perfectly fine storyteller and can sing and probably play the lute well enough, but really creating stories (or especially poems) is hard for her. Vivec pushes her to work on it and she does get better, but it always remains a relative weakness. And I think it has a lot to do with her being not as emotionally secure as she wants people to believe. She's outgoing, excitable, a people-pleaser but not in the meek way. She makes sure she gives off an energy that makes people happy. Her outward personality is based around what she thinks people enjoy being around. Anything that breaks that mold, she recoils. She won't outwardly admit to experiencing less pleasant emotions like pain or sadness, or even neutral ones like longing—she'll hardly even admit those to herself and the people closest to her—because she's convinced herself that the only correct way to carry herself is with exuberance. I mean, she'll get angry on occasion, but it's only impersonal, righteous anger. Anger because someone else was wronged. To get angry on her own behalf would be to admit that she was hurt, and that's making herself too vulnerable. To really reach inside herself and feel things, feels wrong. Repulsive. Terrifying. She can't accept it, and so she resists as hard as she can.

Also, she's not very good with restoration magic. She can heal cut in the field well enough that she/her target won't die on the way to a real healer, but that's about it.

And for Talvini:

W1. do they drink enough water?

She tries to—she'll usually have a glass of water nearby, but sometimes she hyperfocuses on what she's working on and forgets. And sometimes she just drinks a lot of coffee or some sort of alchemical tea when she's really trying to focus. (Although I guess tea probably isn't that bad for hydration? idk I don't really drink tea.)

P3. what of their personality do others love?

She can get analytical in a way that can be very useful for problem-solving in the real world. But in more personal situations, she gets really excited about the things she likes and will talk a lot about them if someone's willing to listen, and people who love her (e.g., Milia) love to listen and actually engage with her rather than just nodding along, because she'll get even more excited and involve her interlocutor more and it's just A Bonding Experience.

P5. do they hate anything about their personality/about other’s personalities?

She's not nearly as assertive as she wishes she could be. Whenever she tries to stand up for herself or someone else, she stumbles, or hesitates, or overthinks and can't come up with the right words until her chance is gone.

And it’s fine, always feel free to ask as many questions about them as you want, I had a lot of fun answering this one, so thank you! Just... be warned that the answer might take a while and also possibly be... really long 😅🤣

This whole thing is about 4.2k words long... whoops.

I answered the questions in order, the kids are sorted from oldest to youngest for each question (except for the twins who are the same age, nobody really knows who‘s older since they were born via c-section and their parents either didn’t ask or at least didn’t tell them [the kids don’t know which one of these is true], although Kohana does insist she’s the older twin).

I also didn’t include Frosta as a character in the ask for this one despite her being the oldest Scorfuma-kid, since she’s not my character and most of these questions wouldn’t have made much sense to answer for her anyway, since they get answered in the show, so it’s just the five kids that are actually my own characters.

Frosta does show up in some of the answers, though, obviously, along with Scorpia and Perfuma.

Also, please don’t take the way I sorted the “good” and “bad” traits too seriously – some of these would definitely be considered good or bad by most people, but other things like shyness aren’t really good or bad, they just can make your life more difficult in certain situations (which I say as a shy person) and I had to sort them into one of the categories somehow so I could include them at all.

Clover

Good traits

He tries to help his moms any way he can, both around the house and in the garden, and will do so without being asked to do it. He’s a very caring older brother that will gladly get up in the middle of the night if one of his younger siblings is upset and needs him, and he’ll also stay up late and read them to sleep when their moms are preoccupied. He’s really good at cooking and often does it for the whole family, and he’s also very creative and makes really beautiful flower arrangements. He rarely has any trouble focusing on what’s important, and he’s very enthusiastic about the things he loves, so much that it’s infectious.

Bad traits

He has trouble dealing with some of his insecurities and will lash out at others when he doesn’t know how else to handle them. He also worried about being a bother to other people when he’s upset and will often keep quiet about what’s making him sad or angry or scared rather than opening up about his emotions. He often comes off as cold to people that don’t know him very well because of this.

He also has a bit of an attitude around people he doesn’t like.

Thorn

Good traits

She always tries to take care of her friends and family and, if possible, keep them out of trouble, and she’d never say no if someone needs her help. For most people, it’s really hard to dislike her because she’s always friendly and polite and cares a lot about others, always tries to give the best advice she can and brings fresh food from the family garden everywhere. She’s really outgoing and has a relatively large friend group because of that.

Bad traits

She’s kind of naive, to a point where her desire to help others lands her in trouble every now and again because she ends up being exploited in one way or another – she doesn’t have a very good judge of character, and because of this, she has “friends” that just befriend her because she’s the crown princess, and she’s so excited to be making new friends that she doesn’t question their intentions very often, especially when she’s still a child.

It’s especially bad with a person she meets when she’s about ten, who she likes a lot, but who her parents are always kind of wary around – whenever that particular kid shows up around their house, things start disappearing, especially Thorn’s favorite toys.They eventually ask her about it, and she just says that her friend liked them so much that she gave them to the other kid, but the way she says it makes it pretty clear that she’s actually really unhappy about it and really misses her toys.

She’s actually kind of like Adora to a certain degree – she doesn’t take her own happiness into account that much and rather makes sure everyone else is happy first... but her family and her real friends always have her back and make sure she’s also having fun and feeling happy. Messing with her is not a very good idea, and if only for the relatively large Thorn-protect-squad.

Willow

Good traits

They’re really smart and pretty patient when it comes to learning new things, and they like trying out stuff they’ve never done before.

When it comes to their friends and loved ones, they show affection openly and often and even get pretty bubbly despite usually being so shy.

They’re also a really good listener and don’t back down when it comes to speaking up against someone who’s being mean to other people – they’re also extremely loyal. Their friend group isn’t huge, but if they befriend someone and that person makes them happy, they’ll go to the ends of the world for them, are extremely supportive of their goals and help them achieve them if they can.

Bad traits

They’re a... bit forgetful when it comes to certain stuff – especially things like watering plants, but also where they last put their things – including the tracker pad that’s literally in their hands when they start looking for it. They probably have the tidiest room in the entire house, and they still never freaking find anything.

They’re also really shy, so they don’t make friends very easily, and they also take criticism very personal despite not openly showing it a lot of times because they’re too embarrassed to – when someone tells them they think Willow is annoying or weird, they’re just going to keep quiet about it and then crawl into bed to cry when they get back home. They’re confident when it comes to protecting others, but they’re also really insecure when it comes to being criticized themselves.

If they’re genuinely hurt by someone, they can’t just laugh it off two days later... they take a long time to forgive others, especially if it’s people that know what they’re insecure about and still push their buttons anyway.

Aster

Good traits

He cares a lot about his family, and always knows how to cheer his siblings and especially his twin up when they’re upset. He’s also not afraid to make mistakes and doesn’t get very nervous about giving a wrong answer when he’s asked things because for him, wrong answers only mean that you learn new things you didn’t know before. If he’s good at something that his friends can’t do, he often offers to teach them and would never brag about it. He’s also really good at playing the drums.

Bad traits

He’s extremely chaotic and can also get pretty loud. He also likes fighting – sometimes it’s just friendly wrestling with his sister, and that’s fine, but they might end up breaking some stuff when they wrestle, and after he connects to the Heart Blossom, he often underestimates his powers or uses them accidentally, which results in both huge chaos and often at least smaller injuries. After he learns to control his powers better, the number of injuries decreases, but the chaos remains, especially when he and Kohana start deliberate making their powers a part of their friendly but heated competitions. They once tore half of Catradora’s living room apart on semi-accident – Finn was very excited. He’s also not good at listening when people tell him what to do – his parents sometimes get through to him, and Frosta often does, but most people out of his family don’t.

Kohana

Good traits

She’s open-minded, more likely to listen to others than her brother is, and she has a pretty healthy sense of humor. She’s also the best fighter out of all the kids – she’s been taking lessons from Frosta, Lonnie and Catra respectively since she was about ten. She’s courageous and creative and if she’s certain someone’s apology is sincere, she’s pretty forgiving, even to people who have hurt her in the past and maybe don’t deserve it. She’s also trustworthy – if you tell her a secret, she’s going to take it to her grave. She also always takes her time to pick out heartfelt birthday gifts for the people she loves because while she’s not that good with words, she still likes finding ways to make their day.

Bad traits

She’s really, really impatient and gets bored and frustrated easily – if she doesn’t manage to succeed at something during the first or at least second attempt, she just gives up frustratedly and goes on to punch something to let out her frustration. She also gets jealous really easily, especially if people learn the things she can’t do really quickly.

Like her twin brother, she’s really into fighting for fun, and she also doesn’t really learn how to pick her fights for a while. Since she’s connected to the Black Garnet rather than the Heart Blossom, she also causes destruction way more easily than Aster does. She’s also more scary than her brother if she wants to be – think chipped-Scorpia level scary.

40. If I wanted to draw them, what would be distinct physical features that I would have to know to draw them correctly?

Clover

He has yellow skin, short teal hair that’s a bit curly, pink eyes, cyan wings – the left one is torn slightly at about 3/4 of the wing which is why that one is harder to move for him – and regular elven ears that are his skin color yellow outside and a darker yellow inside.

He’s the shortest Scorfuma-child except for Frosta, about one head shorter than Willow.

Also technically not a physical feature, but he rarely ever wears formfitting clothes.

Thorn

I posted a princess maker pic of her a while back (along with pics of some of my other next gen kids), but most distinctive physical features would be: Short curly white hair (about chin-length) with flowers in it, a red scorpion tail – which is actually her only Scorpioni-trait –, dark brown eyes and Perfuma’s skin-tone.

As an adult, she’s actually the second tallest of the kids, about as tall as Scorpia.

She’s the one that’s based off of Rae’s Scorfuma-child.

Willow

I also posted a princess maker pic of them when I made their bullet point list, but most distinctive physical features would be:

They have dark skin and dark brown eyes, freckles, curly black hair that almost reaches their shoulders, and their Scorpioni parts are black rather than red like Scorpia’s. They’re kind of short as a kid, but pretty tall as an adult – not quite as tall as Scorpia, but almost that tall, and also at least somewhat buff.

Also, I know this isn’t a physical feature, but they always walk around with that little flower trinket in their chest – Sagi has a similar one. He found it in a box when he was little and when Willow saw him with it, they promptly decided they wanted the same one, so their parents got them the same one. Neither Willow nor Sagi take them off very often, they actually still wear them well into adulthood.

Aster

He has freckles, dark brown eyes and extremely short white hair which you can see would probably be a lot more curly should he choose to grow it out. His skin-tone is somewhere in between Scorpia’s and Perfuma’s. He also has some red Scorpioni-features – the shoulders, the tail and the waist-parts.

He’s shorter than his twin sister Kohana for most of their childhood, but eventually outgrows her by about five inches when they‘re in their teens.

He’s also the only one of the kids that actually ends up being taller than Scorpia when he’s fully grown.

Kohana

She has dark brown eyes, Scorpia’s skin-tone and freckles, also long straight blond hair that she usually grows out to about waist-length and then wears in really any kind of plait, but most often a ponytail, but she cuts it off almost completely on a couple of different occasions throughout her life, mostly because it sometimes if it gets in her way or on her nerves all of a sudden.

She has pincers, as well as the knee and waist-Scorpioni-features.

She also has her ears pierced and likes wearing different kinds of colorful earrings from a pretty early age on, often even mismatching ones.

She’s relatively tall, give or take about as tall as Willow, maybe slightly taller, which makes her almost as tall as Scorpia.

And, again not a physical feature, but she also has either flowers or grass or both either on her clothes or in her hair at all possible times, varying from stuff like flower crowns and actual jewelry to just a grassy reminder on her shirt that she had another wrestling match with Aster in the garden.

48. What does their room look like?

Clover

His room is pretty tidy for the most part.

He has shelves filled with astronomy, gardening and cooking books that his siblings often lend and that are then never returned to him again – except for the cooking books because he’s made it very clear that he can’t cook as well as he usually does without them when too many of them disappeared that one time.

He also has a bunch of different CDs because he’s really into music – he can’t play any, but he really likes listening to it –, and he also has a couple really terrible old movies that he likes to make fun of with his parents and siblings, especially if one of them is having a bad day, as well as some children’s books that he often read to Willow and the twins when they were little and then kept because of the good memories.

He has a photo album where he keeps pictures of all his loved ones that he always keeps somewhere close to his bed, and an old baby blanket that he brought from the orphanage, which was the only memento he actually wanted to keep when it became clear that Scorpia and Perfuma would stay his moms for the rest of his life.

Thorn

Her room is very flowery, different potted plants standing on most of her wooden furniture as well as embroidered flowers on her white curtains.

The room is kind of tidy, but there’s a lot of notebooks and pens scattered all over it – she started keeping a diary pretty much since she first learned how to write, and she keeps all of them so she can look at her memories whenever she wants. When she’s a teen, she also picks up a habit of writing – sometimes stories, but more often, poems, which she keeps locked up in a treasure chest because she’s too shy to show them to anyone.

There’s a bunch of different genre novels on her shelf – she’s mostly into RomComs, stories about friendship and horror –, she also has a bright pink meditation mat that’s always lying on the floor in front of her bed for when she needs to relax, along with a tea set that her parents gifted her.

She also has a secret stash of sweets to make herself feel better whenever she’s upset that she keeps in a jewelry case with a false bottom in a drawer in her bedside table.

Willow

They have a bunch of cacti in their room, because they’re the only plant that Willow can actually have that they don’t accidentally end up killing after, like, a week of constantly forgetting to water them. Most of them are on their window sill. Their room is probably the tidiest in the entire house, including their parents’ bedroom. They have a calendar over their bed, a bunch of fluffy pillows and a mint-green blanket on their relatively large bed. They’re also the one that got to keep Scorpia’s little scorpion plushie – Frosta had it for a while after she was adopted, then Thorn until Scorpia and Perfuma adopted Clover, and then Willow got it. The twins each got their own separate plushie, so Willow ended up keeping this one, and it’s been sitting on top of their science book shelf since they turned twelve.

There’s a fluffy colorful carpet on the floor, and some equally colorful curtains to fit the picture, and a really bright nightlight on their bedside table that they‘re allowed to leave on day an night if they want to.

Willow also always has their swim gear somewhere in reach, which is probably the only thing in the room that they never end up searching for.

There’s also a bunch of different photos all around their room – family photos, and of their friends, mostly photos of Willow and Sagi and also some of them with Angie.

Aster and Kohana

They share a room for most of their childhood, so I’m going to do them together.

The fact that they share a room is mostly because it was just easier that way when they were little – they were offered to get separate rooms when they grew older, but they didn’t want to, and only actually end up getting separate rooms when they’re around fifteen years old.

These two are chaos incarnate, and so is their room. There’s books and toys all over the place, but despite that, both of them always know where everything is, surprisingly – and if one of them asks the other to hand them something, the other does it immediately without ever searching before. Their parents sometimes joke about how that’s their real magic skill rather than their connection to the Runestones.

There’s also a sword somewhere amidst the chaos that’s hopefully but probably not a toy that Frosta got them for one of their birthdays, as well as Aster’s ice skates and aways at least one canvas that Kohana starts painting on and then gives up on at least three times a week until she’s eventually satisfied and it gets hung up on the wall in the hallway or the dining room. Because of this, there’s also tons of art supplies scattered everywhere, and a huge red stain on the otherwise light brown carpet where she accidentally knocked over a cup of paint, tried to clean it up and just made everything worse. They sometimes joke about how someone that got on their nerves was murdered there.

There’s also a bunch of pictures on their wall.

They’re often just standing in the middle of their mess, painting and drumming, respectively.

78. If they had a nightmare, who would they run to?

Honestly, that really depends on who’s around in the scenario with most of them, but I’m just going to go with “if they could pick literally anyone”.

Clover

Perfuma, that’s not even a question. He’s thirteen when he’s adopted, so it’s not the kind of “mommy there’s a monster under my bed”-nightmares, but he does have some bad dreams about more serious topics – he doesn’t remember much about his biological parents, but sometimes he hears shouting at the back of his mind when he closes his eyes and wonders if it’s them, and sometimes he has dreams about being back at the orphanage with that one kid that bullied him.

He then knocks at his mothers’ bedroom door softly, enters and wakes Perfuma – she told him very early on that she doesn’t care how late it is, he’s always allowed to wake her or Scorpia if he needs them –, and when he wakes her up, the first time she does is leave the room with him to talk to him alone for a moment. She always asks if he wants her to wake up her other mom as well, and sometimes he does because sometimes the only thing he needs is to cuddle with his moms on the couch in peace until he calms down...

But especially shortly after the adoption, he don’t want to feel like a burden to his new adoptive parents, and it’s worse enough that he’s annoying one of them – he’s pretty afraid they’re just going to decide they don’t want him after all if he turns out to be too difficult of a child, because he has friends and acquaintances that were adopted and eventually cane back to the orphanage because the adoption didn’t work out –, and despite Scorpia being the softest, friendliest person he has ever met, he’s also kind of intimidated by her at first because she’s so tall and buff and he is a really short forest elf, which is why it’s a little easier for him to talk to just Perfuma about his nightmares at first. ...and he also gets a little overwhelmed with multiple people questioning why he’s feeling bad sometimes, even if they mean well, so sometimes one person works better for him.

Scorpia sometimes feels insecure about this, but really, she just wants her kid to be happy, and if her wife can help him more than she can, that’s fine, and she’s obviously not going to blame him for it or make him feel bad about it.

Perfuma always makes him tea if he wants one, and then they’ll just cuddle under a blanket on the couch, and if he wants to talk, she’s going to let him talk, but she’s also not going to force him to speak to her about things he’s not ready to talk about. Sometimes, she tells him stories from her childhood to show him he isn’t alone with at least some of his fears, but of course only if he wants her to. Sometimes she’ll just take him outside into the garden so he can get some fresh air and lay down in the grass to look up into the sky and at the stars – he’s really into astronomy, and if he can’t talk about what’s bothering him, telling her stories about different constellations always calms him down and makes him feel better, so she will gladly listen to that for several hours if that’s what he needs.

...that, and also sometimes he just needs to hear that mom will kick someone’s ass with flowers if they bother him again.

Clover and Perfuma grow really close pretty quickly if you couldn’t tell.

Thorn

When Thorn has a nightmares, she usually just wakes both of her moms when she’s little – this changes a bit as she grows older and realizes there’s different kinds of help she needs depending on how upset she is and what kind of nightmare she had. Sometimes meditating with Perfuma helps her calm down and feel better, sometimes she just need Scorpia’s hugs and some hot cocoa – but honestly, this can be applied to most situations when she’s upset, not necessarily just nightmares.

Sometimes, also just she really needs someone to talk to, and, depending on the topic, it’s easier to just talk to one of them instead of both because she knows which one of her moms will understand her fears better, but sometimes she also just needs both of them.

She rarely ever goes back to her own bed after a nightmare and instead just climbs into bed with her parents.

Sometimes, when they stay over at Bright Moon, she also goes to cuddle with Arrow when she’s scared because Arrow glows and that calms her down – and also, Arrow will absolutely stage a kitchen robbery for some sweets in the middle of the night just to cheer her up.

Willow

They connect with Scorpia very well very quickly, so usually it’s Scorpia that they run to after a nightmare for some late-night cuddling and the best, most beautiful singing in the world to put them back to sleep.

Willow rarely ever has any nightmares that they can put into words – they wake up terrified and shaking, but without an actual memory of what they’re so afraid of, so there’s usually not a lot of talking involved. Scorpia usually makes them some tea, then sings to them and leaves the lights on when her child falls back asleep so that they’re not as scared anymore when they wake up again. After particularly bad nightmares when Willow doesn’t want to sleep again at all, Scorpia usually just puts on a movie or two until eventually, their tiredness catches up to them and then Scorpia sleeps on the couch with her kid sleeping on her chest.

They also often wake up Thorn who allows them to sleep in her bed and then reads to Willow until they fall asleep. When it’s especially bad, she hands out some of her precious emergency candy to make them feel better.

Aster and Kohana

Since Aster and Kohana share a room, the first person they usually wake is each other – sometimes deliberately, and sometimes accidentally, either by waking up screaming or by turning on the light.

After that, who they run to depends which one of them had the nightmare – if possible, they both like to wake Frosta who will definitely beat up any possible monster under their beds.

Other than that, Aster usually wakes Clover who takes their minds off things by either going downstate with them for a midnight snack that they prepare together, or by reading funny stories to them where the hero always wins and defeats the bad guys – he then convinces them that the stories about the good guys winning are way too scary for any possible monsters in their room and that they’ve long fled by the time the story ends, but also offers to read another one, then another and another of they’re not completely convinced. This goes on until they fall asleep, and sometimes Clover doesn’t even make it back to bed and just falls asleep in a chair in between their beds while he’s reading.

Kohana on the other hand usually wakes Scorpia, especially after she’s learned to control her magic more, so her mom can help her practice her magic outside to take her mind off things and help her feel stronger. Aster often joins in on the training as well, and then they end up being so exhausted that not only do they fall back asleep when Scorpia puts them back to bed afterwards and sings them to sleep, but they also sleep in in the morning – which rarely ever happens to any of the kids, but especially not to those two with their seemingly endless amount of energy.

A Pocket of Posies

Summary: You thought you had something special with him, maybe you did, but you never got to find out.

AN: Once again, shout out to the Yancy support group discord for fueling my writing, without them to bounce my ideas off of, discuss, and elaborate, a lot of these fics wouldn’t be here.

When you started choking during brunch, you thought it was just some food that went down the wrong pipe. You excused yourself to go get some water, and headed to the fountain. When you tried to drink some of the water though, something else came out. From the color it looked like it was a clot of blood. But, it wasn’t viscous enough. It looked light actually. Like a leaf. You picked it up, and as you did, you saw it shift colors, from black to dark red, to dark blue, and then back to black. Peculiar as it was, you didn’t give it a second thought. Most likely and herb or leaf from your salad.

“I’m back.” You said, returning to your weekly brunch date with Dark. The both of you called it a date, but there were no romantic feelings for each other, at least to the best of your knowledge.

“Everything alright darling?” Dark asked, concern in his voice.

“Just a tickle in my throat was all. Nothing major. Speaking of major, how did that deal go? I know it was pretty important that you got it.” You asked.

“It went absolutely wonderfully. It took some convincing to get them completely on board, but that’s to be expected. But soon they’ll start on their way and once they reach their destination, well, guess who’ll be there to welcome them?” He asked smiling and gesturing to himself.

“You, I take it.” You responded.

“Right you are my dear. But I must inform you, due to this most recent deal, I will have to miss a few of our weekly luncheons. I hope that’s alright.” He said.

“I’ll be fine. I can take care of myself.” You said, reassuring him.

“Alright then. You have been taking care of yourself though, haven’t you?” He said, concern re-arising.

“More or less. I’m functional to say the least.” You responded, nonchalantly.

“But at what cost?” He asked.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” You teased.

“Yes! I would! So I can help you!” He exclaimed. “Given how much I can do I don’t see the point in me not helping.”

“It’s a pride thing. I have to do it myself.” You shrugged.

“But you truly don’t.” He countered.

“Dark, we can have this conversation another time. Maybe then I’ll feel up to accepting your help. But right now, I have to get to class. It was a pleasure seeing you.” You said, with finality.

“You are as stubborn as you are clever. I’ll see you next week dear.” He said frustrated, with a touch of care underneath. He then vanished into the shadows, leaving you to pack up your things and leave.

It was odd, your relationship with Dark. Given, he wasn’t human, but that was what intrigued you most. You had seen him, or felt him rather, in the shadows. Heard the whispers of promises and praise, all for the small, small, price of your own soul. As much as those interested you though, you were far more intrigued by the being behind them. It also helped how stubborn you were, as he had mentioned, forgoing anyone’s help to get what you wanted.

In the beginning, you had just ignored his whispers, choosing just to hear his voice. But you grew tired of that quite quickly. Soon, you were answering his questions, but never giving too much information, you knew of creatures like him, able to twist words and misconstrue what you meant. And so you talked. He would ask you what you wanted most in the world and you would respond with the most outrageous things.

“I want to know how to trapeze so I could run away with the circus.”

“If that is what you want.”

“I want to have a different pair of shoes for every single day of my life.”

“Whatever you wish.”

“I want to be a building.”

“If that is what your heart most deeply desires.”

He always said he could make it happen, for a price of course. But by that point you would rescind your wish and ask for something else. This kept on for months, and eventually he began to anticipate what you might say.

“A pair of jeans with no holes in them perhaps? Or maybe a never-ending shoelace? What about a jacket that can speak?”

“Hmm, all good ideas. But what if I wanted a book that could read itself?”

You could see him growing more and more frustrated as the weeks went by. But he also grew more and more outgoing. You finally knew what he looked like, finally saw him outside of his home in the shadows. His posture and disposition grew more lenient. Dare you say, he might’ve even trusted you. Your conversations moved from what you wanted, to what your life was like, to what you did. What he did. Who he was. What he was.

“I’m called many things, the endless night, the Boogeyman, the devil on your shoulder, impulse, typically negative things.”

“What about Dark?”

“What do you mean, dark?”

“Like with a capital d. You say people call you such negative things, that people tend to fear you, so why not one of the greatest fears of all? The dark. The unknown. That which cannot be seen. It makes sense.”

“Hm. I like it.”

When he started popping in and out unannounced, that was when you had to change your dynamic.

“As much as I enjoy spending time with you, you can’t just come in and out. Let’s set a time and date to meet up, to catch up and talk. How does that sound?”

“Is that what you truly desire?”

“Quite a bit.”

“Fine then.”

“Great. We’ll meet at the cafe across the street, once a week on the same day at the same time.”

“I shall see you then.”

And that was how it started. Weekly meetings, before you had class. It was nice, he usually treated you to whatever you wanted to eat, and you treated him to whatever he wanted to know. The exchange was, neither here nor there, but you enjoyed the time you spent with him. And as far as you knew, he enjoyed the time as well.

It was a few days after you weekly brunch date, that you got that tickle in your throat again. It was hard to describe, it felt like the sound of ruffling pages. But it was distinct. It was the same feeling you had felt during brunch. But you were in class, reviewing for the midterm, so it wasn’t like you could just leave. So you toughed it out, coughing every now and then, easing everyone’s worries if you were alright. And when your lecture finally ended, you rushed out to the bathroom, feeling nauseous. You stood over the sink, swiping your hair away from your face as you coughed, as you hacked up something out of your throat.

It was more leaves. They were exactly the same as the one before, changing in color depending on the angle you looked at it. And as you looked at them, you realized they weren’t leaves, but rather petals. Of what flower though, you had no idea.

Why were you coughing up petals? Why did they shift in color? What the hell was going on?

You figured you could ask around later, or do some research on to what was going on. This couldn’t have been normal. Though at the moment, you had to compartmentalize, midterms were coming up after all.

When you had gotten back to your room, you immediately went to researching. You were frantically looking up mixes of words like, ‘coughing up petals’ and 'petals stuck in throat’. Though it all yielded the same result. Something called Hanahaki Disease. Flowers that grow in your lungs due to unrequited love. The color of the petals, the shifting from red to black to blue, it all made sense. And with some reverse Google image searching, because of course you had taken a picture of the petals, what would you have told your doctor, you found it was a black dahlia. Betrayal.

And that could only mean one thing.

You had caught feelings for Dark, and he was just using you.

You could kick yourself. You weren’t supposed to catch feelings for him. He was just supposed to be an enigma you got the luxury of observing. You weren’t supposed to fall in love with him.

Be that as it may, he was going to be gone for a few weeks, so you had time. There were only two solutions you found, either you let the flowers grow, and die of asphyxiation, or you undergo a surgery that removes the flowers, but also your ability to love. Neither sounded quite pleasant.

What the internet search didn’t tell you, however, was how painful it would become. Over the weeks that Dark was gone, you felt nauseous nearly everyday, and spent at least 10 minutes in front of the toilet, hoping that something else would come up. The only thing that ever did come up other than the petals was blood. It left your throat feeling raw and your stomach feeling empty. It was getting unbearable, but you pushed through. You kept going to class, you passed your midterms, and when Dark came back, you kept going to your weekly brunches.

You couldn’t let him know, if he knew, he would just use it against you. And that. The fact that flower meant betrayal, that was what hurt you the most. You had actually thought you had formed a bond with him. Formed a something with him. But you were wrong. All this time, all the hang outs, all the shared talks, all that the two of you had done together up until now, it was all a ploy. You were just another deal to him.

And once you realized that, well that was when you stopped showing up. Because while to him this all might’ve been a game, the feelings you felt for him were real. You used to so look forward to your meetings, to talking to him, to spending time with him. The first time you saw him, out of the shadows, when he had finally let himself be seen? That meant so much to you.

He had tried to get in touch with you, check in to make sure you were ok. But you disregarded him, told him you were fine, just busy. You knew he would only buy that for so long though. Eventually, it had gotten so bad that you couldn’t even find the strength to leave your bed.

But you resigned yourself to your fate. If this was how you were going to go out, then so be it. You would rather have lived a life loving than continue living to never love again. You could feel your days dwindling, energy leaving you as you tried to take care of yourself. This was when Dark chose to finally make an appearance. He hadn’t barged into your room for some time now, so it was quite a surprise when he did. Maybe he had finally come to collect on whatever deal the two of you had made.

“Y/N, are you here?” He asked, looking around. He eventually found you in your bed, looking sickly and washed out. He ran to your side immediately.

“Y/N what happened? I was only gone a few weeks, what could’ve done this to you?” He asked, frantic.

You barely had the energy to answer, but you managed to get a single word out.

“You.” And with that, you began coughing, clinging to Dark, as a full petaled, multi-chromatic, black dahlia was ejected from your mouth.

“Y/N I-I don’t understand! How did you find out? I never meant for it to get this far, I thought I could change things. I-” He finally stopped, realizing he was talking to empty air. He felt your body slump against him, and he remembered your last word.

You .

Him. It was his fault. It all clicked into place. The flower, it was him, and you never knew about the deal. And he never realized. He felt something wash over him, your soul, as promised.

He finally had your soul, and it was functional, to say the least, but at what cost?

| 𝐉𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐨:

After conversing with my system, the five main alters, my protectors, have agreed to interact with other people when "fronting." From this, they will be introduced and explained to clear any confusion about me and them.

- Fronting: When the person/alter/personality is present, able to control the body when the host is unable to. But this creates an amnesia barrier, closing off other alters from what is happening unless they are near the front or are notified.

I am the host. Each of these alters, these people, are created by trauma during my childhood and into adulthood, having the role of balancing traumatic events in my life, and now, what's theirs. I am mostly in control, but there are times that I will switch, trading spots with someone else and will be absent for some time. But afterward, I return but have no knowledge of what that person has done unless they leave notes, or notify me within the headspace.

I am Rune, a female alter, and the Gatekeeper. Unfortunately, Rune is not my name, but my alias that I prefer to be called by. My job is to protect the entrance, having the ability to close and open it, towards certain people within our system. I ensure that those within the system do not take over forceful, and prevent those who are angered from leaving, if their intentions are immoral or beyond what we intend as a whole. But it will be rare that you will see me present, as I have other duties within the headspace, and I do not interact with various people. I'm a quiet woman who's an age slider, sliding from the age of 19 to 26. I refrain from any mafia activity, unless my services are required.

I am Daesung, a male alter who is the main protector, and one of the first alters. My main job is to be present during tight situations Wonwoo faces, and if necessary, I will take front to ensure Wonwoo's physical and mental safety. However, it is also my job to keep track of all alters within the system. I know where everyone is, what everyone is doing, and how everyone is. I am the person all will turn to for advice, care, and to address situations that trouble not just one, but everyone in the system. I'm analytical, but like to be outgoing, free-spirited, and a teaser. You may see me often, and know in advance that I don't mind making some friends. I am not an age slider, but I am 18. On some days, I participate in mafia activity, but only when needed.

I am K, a male alter, who is the emotional protector. My job is to help Wonwoo, and any other alter, with emotional trauma and/or situations. I am the voice of reasoning, a person who will help soothe those who are struggling, especially when it comes to self-harm, or guilt of committing a specific crime or act. I'm not only an emotional protector, but also a Caretaker. I handle our littles, appearing as the dad figure, protecting them, playing with them, and ensuring where they are when Daesung is busy. I'm very caring and gentle, sometimes energetic. I'm very soft-spoken and opened towards talking with anyone. I'm 23, but not an age slider. I try to avoid mafia activity, but on rare occasions, I will get involved if it is dire.

I am a blunt person, closed off from certain people, and can appear as a tyrant. I sometimes create issues myself, but I mostly try to refrain from any chaos. I am ageless, meaning that I have no age, but that does not mean I am old or young. I am very active when it comes to mafia activity, especially when it comes to harsh punishment.

My job is to protect Wonwoo from situations relating towards sexu*l abuse, uncomfortable situations relating to being touched, or subjects that Wonwoo refuses to talk about. I do not have any other job within the system, but I sometimes take care of the littles, who are off-limit to you all. I am a flirtatious woman, but I am calm and mellow. I don't always make s*x jokes, and do enjoy having regular conversations. I am also a troublemaker time from time, so beware. But I am a sweet person who enjoys interacting with others.

If there are more than one present, this is known as co-conscious, you will be able to tell as names will be changed when communicating so you're aware of who you're talking with.

- Co-conscious: When one is fronting, it is possible for another alter to be present, without the amnesia barrier, and is witnessing what is happening outside of the headspace at that moment. It is like sitting in the passenger seat, next to the driver.

ROMANTIC X MALE

Muse A has been an aspiring musician for years. They have finally hit it big; their music quickly climbing the charts, labels scrambling to sign them, screaming fans waiting outside venues. Muse A meets DIVINA at an industry event, and the two hit it off immediately. Muse A invites DIVINA out after the event, and they end up going home together afterward. As they continue to bump into one another at industry events over the next few weeks, the pair decides to act on their chemistry and try dating. It isn’t long before they start to fall for each other, but Muse A’s rising fame sweeps them up, leaving DIVINA, (who’s still stuck in her girl group contract) behind while Muse A travels the world. DIVINA does their best to deal with the distance and the insecurities that come along with dating a musician but, they finally reach their limit when a photo surfaces of Muse A kissing a fan after a show. Muse A expresses regret about the incident, but can’t promise that they’ll be 100% faithful while on tour. After a difficult talk, the two agree that they shouldn’t be together right now, and they’ll just have to see what happens when the tour is over. Now, the tour is over and when it’s time for Muse A to write their sophomore album, nothing is more inspiring than their relationship with DIVINA. Their first single is released and it’s a break-up song that’s all about missing Muse B. This doesn’t sit well with DIVINA, who’s now signed as a solo artist and doesn’t want their relationship tainting her new path of a career.

𝖉𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖆 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗

PLATONIC

DIVINA has recently signed her own solo deal and is on the cusp of breaking into the big time as a solo artist. She has her loyal following from the group that she loves dearly, but their lifelong dream has always been to be a major headliner and to see her name lit up on the marquis of the biggest venues. Muse B is a well-known artist who is also a talent manager, looking for a new artist to lend their skills and expertise to. Muse B attends one of DIVINA’s promotional shows one night and is absolutely blown away by their magnetism and raw talent. After the show, Muse B introduces themselves to DIVINA and makes it known that they are very interested in working with them. DIVINA isn’t sure at first. They don’t want to be constantly told what to do or play and Muse B doesn’t have the sharpest personal reputation. The pair spend time together, share a few stories, their dreams and aspirations and begin to hit it off really well. Muse B offers their services, but DIVINA is hesitant to accept, even though this may be what she really needs to establish herself outside of her girl group image. After a bit of persuading and a few more meetings, DIVINA finally agrees. Muse B utilizes every resource they have to propel DIVINA into stardom. As DIVINA gets closer and closer to achieving A-list status, Muse B steers her towards more questionable behaviors (alcohol, drugs, outbursts, etc.) in order to get additional publicity and headlines. When she refuses, she begins to see a more vile side of Muse B who threatens to completely derail her career if she doesn’t take their orders.

𝖜𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖘 / 𝖘𝖜𝖎𝖓𝖌

ROMANTIC X GROUP

Muse A and DIVINA are in a lowkey ‘situationship’. DIVINA is embarking on her first national tour as an opening act. Muse A has been close friends with DIVINA since she was seventeen and they’ve been one of her biggest supporters in the industry. The pair have decided to continue ‘talking’ despite DIVINA leaving to tour. Though they talk over video chat and text almost every day, it’s just not the same as them being in the same room together. After the first leg of apart, DIVINA’s chats are getting shorter and Muse A’s calls go to their voicemail more frequently. It makes Muse A curious, especially because of publicity showing DIVINA and MUSE C; another artist touring with DIVINA who has openly expressed being romantically interested in her, growing questionably closer. When one particular video of DIVINA and MUSE C cozied up together surfaces and Muse A can’t get in contact with with DIVINA for explanation; Muse A is deeply angered after assuming the worst. Enters Muse D, who is both DIVINA’s best friend and a collaborator of Muse A. When Muse D encounters Muse A, someone they’ve secretly cared for as more than friends, who is noticeably upset over DIVINA’s questionable behavior, Muse D takes the opportunity they’ve been waiting for. Muse D offers themselves as a confidant to Muse A, purposely fanning the flames of Muse A’s suspicion and hurt to encourage Muse A to forget about DIVINA and open their eyes to what’s right in front of them – a person who’d never do them how DIVINA was. Muse A gradually listens to Muse D and a relationship begins to blossom between the two of them. What happens when DIVINA has a break between tour dates and surprises Muse A back in L.A.?

𝖒𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖛𝖎𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓

ENEMY X FEMALE

DIVINA is offered a song by a prominent producer in the industry, the same song Muse A has already recorded and has prepared for their next release. DIVINA loves the song so much she decides to record it and prepare to release it as her lead. Once industry bugs begin getting to Muse A, they realize the song they had recorded is now about to pushed by a different artist. Of course, the producer does not disclose they offered DIVINA the song and Muse A believes DIVINA and her team made a shady business move and stole the song from under her. Muse A’s first instinct is to blast DIVINA on social media but she decides to simply record more music and put her lead out on the same date as DIVINA’s lead. The timing of the singles mean interviews, music videos and award show performances will all be align around the same team which ultimately turns into a social media feud assumption and a whole lot of comparisons as both songs compete for the higher Billboard position. When asked about this in an interview Muse A is noticeably passive-aggressive and shady towards DIVINA, who still isn’t aware of the issue. Things only boil swifter when DIVINA deliver’s a very shady acceptance speech when she wins an award over Muse A for the song.
