Muse Tarot

Full disclosure, I was going to do a reading for both muses, but my pendulum only wanted me to do a reading for Gavin, so that’s what we went with. 

My process for this was to do the reading as I would for another person, just keeping your Gavin muse, specifically, in mind. I pulled a three card spread for Gavin, which is typically interpreted as “past, present, future” in that order. For the most part, when interpreting, I ignored my own conceptions of the character and just pulled the direct meanings of the cards. You’ll have to let me know if it resonates with how you portray your Gavin--I’m genuinely curious! I encourage you to look up the meanings of each card and interpret them for yourself, as well. Sometimes people see meaning in the cards that I can’t when it’s meant for someone else and not myself.

Past: Eight of Swords (key words: self-imposed restriction and negative thoughts) Signifies feeling trapped due to a series of negative experiences an poor luck, can represent feelings of anxiety due to an unsatisfactory bond of some kind (either with another individual or organization). This card often reveals concerns in the intellectual/mental realm, indicating frustration and panic in some cases. It sometimes picks up on a person who may feel vulnerable or isolated and points toward a need to swallow one’s pride in order to seek support. This card also sometimes shows up for someone who has been expected to conform to a role that does not suit them and experiences challenges as a result.

Present: The Magician (key words: action and success) I always interpret this card as someone who is on the precipice of change and new beginnings for the better, but only if that person acts and step/leans into the change. It is a card of transformation. It can also represent positive influences entering one’s life that will bring about said change. 

Future: The Six of Staves/Wands (key words: success and completion) This card typical reveals itself in the face of a deserved success after a period of struggle. It also may predict feelings (typically romantic, but could be platonic) being relayed to someone, which will be well-received.
