word quickly got to her best friend & after catching them, bailey was screamed at and was slapped in the face, her best friend promising that the next few years of high school would be absolute hell for her

true to her word, bailey was ignored by the popular group at school the next day, while she was being followed with eyes on her back & whispers of awful rumors 

she was called a slut for betraying the popular girl, who was loved by everyone & she was deemed an outcast from every social group

things only got worse from there when bailey befriended a boy from her biology class 

they were lab partners & bailey looked forward to it every day since no one else was really speaking to her

one day, her lab partner invited her over so that they could work on a project, and since she was excited about the prospect of having a friend again, she headed over after school

while they worked together, they kept exchanging shy glances, and then they finally shared a gentle kiss

things escalated quickly, so she stopped them before anything else happened

apparently, he wasn't very happy with this, so he kicked her out

she went to school heartbroken the next day, & at one point someone threw a slushie into her face and was called a whore

wondering what she did to deserve it, she tried confronting her ex-best friend, & found out that her lab partner was dating her ex-best friend and he had spread rumors about sleeping with bailey

it was complete & utter hell for her, and being pushed & pushed again, bailey decided to take matters into her own hands

she knew things about the popular girl no one else knew about, & she started gossip and spread her secrets to anyone she could reach at school, including one particular secret that her ex-best friend was popping pills because of her parents' divorce

she spread lies that the popular girl's boyfriend had contracted an infection from all the girls he was seeing, & she posted nudes online to claim that this was a much older woman he was hooking up with 

bailey thought it was enough for their lives to spiral like hers did, but while she was still struggling with her sexuality, she impulsively spread a rumor that the popular girl liked to hook up with other girls

as the reputation of the popular group was going down, bailey's was being raised as she continued to walk through the halls with confidence & stride, despite what had happened to her

she was an ideal honors student, became class president, planned every event & dance, did some volunteer work, and won junior & senior prom queen

luckily, bailey was able to get away from it all when she got accepted to eastwood university, relieved that she could start over

she was still running on the high from her days of reigning high school that she kept up a competitive and brilliant attitude

the younger sister -- they consider each other best friends. they tell each other everything, except bailey has yet to tell her about her feelings about other girls, & all of the drama that happened with the popular girl. the sister is just starting college at eastwood.

the older brother -- they have a strained relationship, especially when bailey & her friends crashed the frat party he was at when he wanted to become a pledge. however, they do want to fix things once he finds out everything bailey has gone through. the brother could be a coach, substitute, professor, or grad student at eastwood.
