Baby blues settle upon the other blonde, wide and curious. Really, it had never occurred to Armin to see her as different – if anything, Annie had only ever come across as... impressive. Cool and collected, advanced compared to most of the other scouts.

He hums, soft and pensive. Words shifting in the blond's brain, an attempt to form a response that wouldn't offend. ❝ Well I.. I guess I don't have any reason not to be – nice, that is. ❞

It wasn't in Armin's nature, really. Even towards those who had made his life hell as a child, he'd never lashed out like Eren, nor fought back like Mikasa. Armin wasn't a fighter, whether it be physical or verbal.
