Ezra's pushing his luck, but he feels the danger and leaps. Perhaps his friends are just as... interesting as him, and all he needs is to take the offer. "You get one other person," The lights in the apartment shine on him well, cutting his figure from anything in between intimidation and seduction, though he won't exactly notice it happen. Victor wonders what'll happen if he lets this drag on for long—all of it sounds excitingly dangerous, or simply dangerous altogether, a rush to his system lighting up his veins. Just means he probably needs someone to give a shit if things go south. "Come on and get up from my previously nice couch, and out of my penthouse," he says with no amount of amusement. "Listen to the airwaves for the next concert, Ezra—hope I'll see you there."

"oh, don't you worry. i want it! you've got yourself a deal." and to think, ezra hadn't even been the one to bring it up. he's always the one that's got to wheedle out the details, but here victor is giving them away with no effort on his part! he's far from complaining—it's about time someone realized what he has to offer. unfortunately, thalia doesn't seem to appreciate him much like this. nor do most others, but that particular rejection has needled at him. "say, you wouldn't mind if i brought along a mate or two, would you?"

cassia had spent the better part of the past week trailing ezra shaw off and on. she’d had mild success, often successfully trailing him for a few hours before losing him once he accepted a fare. she knew almost immediately that she’d need to switch up her usual tactics if she wanted to see success, but she spent a few additional days tailing him as she formed her plan. eventually, she’d made the decision to approach him under the guise of needing a ride. so she smiled, as she leaned towards the driver’s side window. “can i get a ride to far rockaway?” she asked with a smile.

This is a bad idea. This is a very bad idea. But this is the only chance he gets, and Ren’s out of the apartment to grab his whole... well, to be fair, he understood that he needed a lot of luggage. And maybe better plates? He understood the plates bit. But when Ezra asks him for help, sounding like he’s five bottles deep and as if he was in trouble; the point is he doesn’t turn away from people. Even if they—even if they’re Ezra.

“I—uh, come in. I don’t—just come in.” Will looks as if he’s worried. And angry. And exhausted, but isn’t everyone with Ezra Shaw? “Where does it hurt?”

Don't you get it, Will? No. He doesn't. The gods know that what Will might have made up for in heart, he would have lost in his brains, but Ezra shocks him right back into place. He feels his mouth in waves and torrents, kisses falling over him like dead leaves before the wintertime. He doesn't let go of his buttons, of course, shocked by the turn of events as he feels lips on him, cold and enticing all the same. His kiss, like everything else about him, feels hungry. Will is simply caught in the undertow of emotion, letting everything ride out in a pleasurable wave.

His tongue drags, his lips touch his jaw as it sends shivers down his spine. The hollow of his throat feels exposed, as if he could take a second bite—and if he did, Will wonders if Ezra would have stopped. It doesn't matter, since as soon as that thought crosses his mind, the fangs are flashed and suddenly, he's left holding nothing, wrenched from his grip like the last toy at the shop. Will can only blink, as he's been told that the blood—oh right, he's got blood on him now, silly him, is coating his face. A woefully applied rouge that coats him crimson.

"I—of course!" He divests himself of his clothes, the shirt first, ruined by blood and his trousers. It's not a show. But it's not... not a show. He's naked, and he walks in, only the curtain separating them for a moment. "And I mean. Someone's got to get your back, right? I—" He forces his eyes to stay on Ezra's face, as he somehow realizes a minute after ridding himself of his garments that he's actually naked in front of him. "Ah. Fuck. Well," he says, walking into the all-too cramped shower. "Inside then. Let's get that blood off us, yeah?"

it's all a little surreal. will's hands glide against cold skin and bloodstains alike, his scuffed shirt pulled from him with more genteel than he's expecting. maybe it's weakness. blood loss. he's fresh out of that frying pan. still, he comes right back for more. is it more kicked puppy or willful ignorance? ezra doesn't think too hard on it—the hands hovering dangerously at his zipper are much more enticing. "don't you get it yet, will?" it's all just a little too much to bear. will may still be petered out, but he's got an angry sex monster inside him beating its chest and hollering. ezra's never been good at refusing it. he can't help himself. striking like a viper, he surges forward to pull will into a very hungry kiss. "i don't want you to let go," he mumbles in between all but tonguefucking the inside of his mouth, hands grabbing fistfuls of whatever they can reach. kissing like this has never felt so good. good gods he feels so alive! it's different from his late night excursions with ihsan—the smack usually keeps him stable. feels like it keeps him stable. this... doesn't. he's teetering on the edge of a cliff, ready to drop. he's always liked that feeling. the wind before the fall. "fuck," he pulls back, kissing along his jaw, dragging his tongue down to his throat. he can practically taste his heartbeat in between kisses. without thinking, his lips settle above the vein in his neck, pulsing at him like a lighthouse to a ship at sea. his grip tightens ever-so-slightly, breath heavy in the back of this throat. one bite and he could—his fangs are out before he can blink, let alone finish a thought. the next moment, he's gone—replaced by a pile of trousers on the floor and a whoosh of air as he throws himself into shower. casually. he only retches once at how painful it is to tear himself away. a moment later, he's composed and peeking around the curtain. "water's nice and warm," he says, very casual and extremely composed and not beginning to crack around the edges. "if you're—if you'd like to join. figure you should at least wash your face off. i left a bit of a... smear."

Anger, Will learns, isn’t white-hot rage boiling over for him, no thrown plates or raised voices. No, the rage that he feels is cold, a hunk of metal that sits at the core of his chest, cracking it open with every breath. He’d called Ezra, though he hadn’t remembered what words he used. Probably a well-meaning ‘come to my apartment.’ And there he sits, he waits, knowing that Ezra has the house key anyway. His ears hear the creak of the door, and he stands to greet him, eyes burning holes into his face.

“Ezra,” he greets, with none of the usual warmth. “We need to talk.”

The thought of swimming through the waters—well, that even gives Derek pause, and he could survive literally anything the world throws at him. It takes a moment before he takes yet another swig as the chilling thought of it sends a shiver down his spine. At least he's grateful, getting a moment to themselves amidst the chaos. Even if this wasn't exactly good company, Derek's happy to get a moment where his mind shuts off. He nods, carrying the liquor in his hand as they start to move. "Alright. Swapping stories about coming to the city sounds better than just staring out into nothing. Lead the way, man."

"you couldn't pay me to get into scavenging, mate. i've about had my fill of nature. i like my tunnel and my train, thank you very much." speaking of... ezra pauses to look down the tunnel they're in. "what d'ya say we move this on back to base? i'm not keen to stand about and give anyone any funny ideas."
