hello, hello, hello! it’s once again that time for an event starter call!! u will find my plotting call right here ,, and you can take a look at the vibez for my characters on this board here !!

at the moment, I won’t be placing a cap on my starters, but I might reduce it or add to it! so feel free to go wild and request as many starters as you want! 

just a small note, I will be on holiday throughout all of the plotting stage, so I’m getting this out early but it won’t get updated until possibly the 10th because I don’t know what the situation with wifi or internet is going to be while I’m in disneyland! but I may just take a notepad and pen with me and write everything out on paper while I’m on the plane home so that I can just type things up and get them posted when I’m home!!

"a weekly special ? so what you're saying is that i have to come here at least weekly ." that wouldn't be difficult . enjolras was already coming here pretty much daily , if for no other reason than he enjoyed peyton's company more than most others in this city where he felt so alone . it's not like he was a caffeine addict . he chuckled at her comment and pulled a five dollar bill from his pocket ; he preferred cash over all else . the concept of credit cards was still absurd to him , and he would never give enough of his information to have a bank account .

                                      the warmth of his smile and accompanying compliment momentarily trick her into silence; a faint rose tint flushing her cheeks. obviously, enjolras had been laying his words on thick, but that knowledge does nothing to stop her from feeling a little awkward just to meet his eyes. she should've been used to this by now. “well, we happen to have a weekly special on our menu. those customers usually just settle for that, or a simple espresso,” peyton answers, knowing full well that his question had been rhetorical. happy to avert her gaze, she quickly taps away on the screen of the cashier as she repeats the orders in an almost inaudible mumble, giving herself a moment to recollect herself before returning her attention to enjolras. “that’ll be 4 dollars, even if you happen to be from france.” despite her smile, peyton mentally cursed herself for daring to voice out such a stupid.. joke? out loud, already moving to go and prepare their order.

"so , i have a question peyton ." enjolras placed his elbow on the cafe counter as he sipped from his mug . after weeks of coming here daily , he'd actually grown to enjoy the different flavors she'd presented him with . drinking anything other than black coffee was a surprising shift for someone like enjolras . he didn't want to grow soft of complacent . "what do you think of this government ?" it shouldn't seem too out of the blue — he'd never been shy about his politics . "just last month there was yet another crisis . you know as well as i do that they'll sweep it under the rug , move on , hope people forget . there will be no change ." / closed starter @masqce ( enjolras & peyton )

"ah , forgive my misinterpretation of your words , then ." despite his apology , he didn't believe he'd misunderstood at all . he'd let her have this though . saving face and pride was something he could comprehend . enjolras dropped the change from his bill into the tip jar and rest a palm on the countertop as he waited for his beverage . "ah ... it's quite a story , i suppose . i don't think you'd believe me even if i were to tell you the whole thing ." truthfully , enjolras wouldn't even know where to begin . how could he explain dying in france and waking up alive in washington ?

                                      “i did not say that,” peyton hastily corrected the other, just in case he’d misunderstand her intentions (even if she would appreciate him returning here at least weekly). if he were to visit here on a regular basis, it should be because he wanted to— the most peyton could do was coax him into it. “but if you would like to try each of our weekly specials and get acquainted with all the variety our coffee has to offer, then yes, that would require at least one visit per week.” too much words spent just to talk herself out of that one; peyton refrains from rolling her eyes at her own self, moving swiftly to receive and exchange his money. “so how did you end up in washington? if it were me, i don’t think i’d ever be willing to leave france.”

enjolras presented peyton with a warm smile . although he was bold , intense , pensive , he wasn't cold . enjolras was wildfire . the man could turn a flickering ember into raging devastation - or in his perspective , rebirth . "your choices are overwhelming . there needs to be a simplified menu for those of us like me - what will those poor souls do without peyton nearby as their guide ?" he didn't have a clue where to begin , though the term french press caught his attention . "i'm french , you know ." it wasn't so much a prideful badge of honor so much as a loose association . "so , maybe we should go with that . bold sounds correct ."

                                       the sight of him immediately brightened her features, recognising him from the day before, and a couple of occasions before that. he’d been the interesting type, shrouded in a certain kind of mystery and skepticism that peyton clearly seemed to have a weakness for. “of course,” she’d agreed all too easily, though half-regretting the words as soon as she’d spoken them. she may have learned a new thing or two about coffee after accepting the job, but she could hardly recommend him her usual cardiac-arrest-to-go, as her coworker had so kindly dubbed her overly sweet favourite. he didn’t seem the type to appreciate it. “we have tons of different beans and types of coffee to choose from. do you like the flavor to be a little more intense, or a little more mellow? perhaps you’d prefer the bitter tones? we also have french press, if you’re into bold and rich flavors.”
