I have been writing Bonnie Bennett for well over a decade now. Since the first episode. I have fic upon fic (and a very popular Bonnie centric blog) under my belt.

Bonnie Bennett is multi-faceted character, full of a whole range of emotions, sometimes very conflicting. She is not black and white, good or bad. She is a messy grey.

Add to that, sometimes you are just attracted to people that you shouldn't be. Henrik was a witch who died a horrific death, was resurrected, only to lose his magic again when he was turned into a vampire. There is something about that that Bonnie can't help but feel for.

Let's also talk about how you probably didn't even bother to read the threads I have with lycanslain because you would see that it is very much enemies to lovers vibe, which is something that is a TVD staple. If Elena can come to love Damon, and Caroline can come to care for Klaus, than Bonnie can do her thing with Henrik. In fact the TVD fandom has a long history of acting like Bonnie is too pure for a bad boy which is thinly veiled in racist tropes (if you want to read more I'll gladly send you lots of meta from my BB blog).

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and in conclusion, don't ever come for my Bonnie Bennett fan card. You'll have to wrestle it from my cold dead hands.
