She follows without an argument, because as much as she'd like to go on an 'I effin' told you so' rant, they really don't have time, tonight, for her ego to get in the way. Faith closes the door behind them, debating locking it so they can talk in private but she knows he doesn't trust her, yet --- not that she blames him but there are bigger fish to fry, tonight, than whether or not she's got a lil bit of a priors list, "Not gonna do yourself any favors by freakin' out. Vampires are real. Accept it."

S3 Jopper Canon Divergence AU!
@ahoystilinski
The plan hadn't quite worked the way they had wanted it to. Both Joyce and Jim had managed to place the key, however that Russian soldier had come in yet again to screw with their plans. A fight between Jim and the Russian happpened, their guns fallen into a corner and long forgotten... And the Russian had the upperhand. Meanwhile Joyce was trying to turn the keys, having gotten rid of her belt, trying to turn them at the same time. This had to work. However the Russian knew what they were going to do, and with a skilled precision the Russian Guard had swooped up Joyce and taken her into the engine room. Somehow Joyce had managed to wiggle herself free, and give him a push... Into the machine. It spiraled out of control after that and her brown eyes met his blue ones... She knew that this would be it, she couldn't get past the machine. She couldn't get to safety. "It's okay." She mouthed at him, he had to turn the key. He had to save their kids. Her only chance of potential survival was to jump down, so she did. No longer looking at Jim Hopper as she leapt down, her hands protectively covering her head. The explosion however still enough to knock her unconscious.
She woke up to a face she had only heard stories about. She woke up to the face that had cursed. She didn't know what he had in store for her...
"I'm going to have fun with you." The chilling voice of Brenner spoke.
Fast Forward eight Months later...
Doctor Sam Owens had heard the whispers, but not once had he dared to contact the Chief of Police Jim Hopper, who now found himself caring for 3 kid's instead of one. Sam had thought it cruel, to give the man hope when possibly there was none. For months he and his squad had chased the rumours that seemed to be going around, about Dr. Brenner still being operational and doing experiments on a American woman who had been detained after Star Court, no that was something they couldn't have… Especially since he seemed to be working with the Russians no less. And besides all that here was only one American woman unaccounted for, and that was no other than Joyce Byers. No, this would mean trouble, but Sam felt obligated to do something. So for months he was tasked to find him, to put those rumours to rest or to make them, and him, go away forever. However, what he found was much more troubling than he could've expected. Not only had they finally found Dr. Brenner, inside of a Russian base no less, no… The rumours about the woman were true… And he found her, Joyce Byers.
The facillity was raided, and Joyce was brought into safety. The woman had been unconscious when they got there, however she had woken up after the transport, when she was safe. Big brown eyes had looked up to him… The smart driven woman just a shell of who he knew her to be. She wasn't the same fierce woman he had once seen when he was helping her son all those years ago. Her injuries had been treated and she had been settled in a private clinic he owned with employees he trusted. He had personally been there to oversee her treatment, but now he sat in his office the phone in hand dialing the number of Jim Hopper, despite of it being midnight. Sam Owens knew the lenghts these people would go through for one another, so he knew waiting would not be appreciated. Not with them. Not in this case. Once he heard the voice of the Chief Jim Hopper, Sam spoke softly. "Jim, it's been a while. We, uh… We need to talk. It's really important, however I feel like this conversation is better to be held face to face. Do you think you can meet me in the morning? Meet me up in my clinic? It's about an hour's drive I'd say." Sam spoke, hopeful that he could handle this matter face to face.
