As part of the Kamisato lineage, there would always be a role for her to play. Sakura was over in the student council office again, helping out with some paperwork. As she was over frequently, she was deemed an unofficial member as a joke. Shinobu was right by her side, helping calculate costs for an upcoming S2 live. As the pen glided across the paper, she scribbled down notes about some previous lives. It was relaxing for her, a change of pace compared to being on her feet so often. As she was about to take a break and stretch, Ayaka texted her that she got some snacks and that she’ll deliver them soon. She smiled at her phone and told Shinobu.

“Ah, Ayaka is bringing us some snacks. How considerate of her.”

“Yeah, we’ll have to thank her soon. You guys have live coming up soon, right?”

Shinobu looked up from what he was writing and looked at Sakura. She smiled as she began to gush about the next concert her unit would hold.

“Yeah! It should be a month from now if we time everything correctly. It's going to be our second album released. I'm super excited about it.”

“Do you think you can tell me more about it?”

“-! Of course! So each of us has a song that’s focused on an ideal we like. For mine, its about friendships. And then we have a few more songs that…”

As Sakura began to ramble on about her unit, Shinobu took in her features. The way her eyes felt so comforting like sunlight, her smile being so bright, she was just perfect to him. Every word she spoke was like a melody to his ears. And don't even get him started on her laugh— he could just rant on for hours on how amazing she is. He truly had a crush on her. As he rested his chin on his palm, he got a notification on his phone. As he opened his phone, Ayaka knocked on the door. Sakura went to open the door as he read the message.

“Hey Ayaka! I was just talking about your song.”

“Hi-hi Sakura! Are you taking a break right now?”

“Yeah, I'm almost done with this stack of papers.”

“Yippee! And then we can go home!”

As Sakura picked up the bag of snacks Ayaka had, Ayaka grabbed another chair and pulled it over.

“Ah, Sakura, the photos I got from my last photoshoot came in.”

Shinobu mentioned as Ayaka was sorting out what each person was going to have.

“Ooo, the ones I helped you with? Can I see?”

“Sure! Come over here!”

Sakura walked over to Shinobu, hugging him from above. She put her head on his shoulder and looked over at the photos. There was a moment of silence, as Shinobu’s face dusted with a light pink as soon as their faces almost touched. He couldn’t believe how close they were to each other. A million thoughts began to race in his mind as he thought about what he would do next. He didn’t even realize how much Sakura was commenting on him until he snapped out of his own thoughts.

“…A-And honestly, the outfit choice was great for the shoot and … and generally you just looked amazing.”

Stuttering over her own words, Sakura complimented how well he did in the photoshoot. As she muttered something about him being cute as well, he knew his face turned even more red. She giggled as she grabbed a bag of candy from in front of Ayaka and continued on with her work. Oh, if only she knew how often he made her nervous. If only she knew.

Well, since the festive season is always warm for me and I don't cope well with the heat, a lot of the activities would probably be shaped by that skdjjkdfs

Neuvillette and I go on a trip! Not super far out, but we stay in a place close to the beach (with air conditioning, of course,) and spend the days napping away (or doing some low effort crafts or cooking together!) and then go on walks in the morning and evening, even going to go sit on the beach late at night and hold hands under the light of the stars while we listen to the waves!! I imagine the time would be mostly unstructured and calm, with a few scheduled Events for us to work around, but a lot of it really depends on how we're both feeling that day, and we may choose to be randomly spontaneous and do something a bit wacky every now and then (including cooking soup over a bonfire on the beach. simply because we can.)

Ayato doesn't often get time off, so I feel like he'd pack it full with all the things he's been wanting to do since he last had a break like this. He'd have an annotated itinerary and will do his very best to get Ayaka and Thoma to be able to join us! He likes to be able to wander the markets at his leisure, but also going on long walks or checking out monuments and events and stuff like that! If it's possible, he's almost definitely swinging to get out of Inazuma. I think one of the things he'd love to have a chance to see is the Lantern Rite, so Liyue is the number one destination! Fancy dining, interesting stalls, storytellers, you name it, it's on Ayato's itinerary in itty bitty writing that only Thoma can even begin to decipher. Of course, there's definitely a few cheesy little dates for just us strewn throughout there too.

Zhongli has probably been planning for something like this for a while - Hu Tao is pretty lenient with giving him time off, especially around this time of year. Of course, he'd definitely have the Lantern Rite on his list as well, but it's definitely not at the tippy top of his list. Ideally, he'd organise what is essentially a several day long hike/camping trip to show me places of interest around Liyue, including interesting ruins and statues and even places with fauna or flora he thinks i'll like looking at. In the end, it's just us infodumping back and forth at each other for hours on end about whatever subjects come to mind as we walk, occasionally stopping for picnic breaks or to look at some cool animal that's passing by :3

Diavolo organises a trip up to the human realm. He certainly doesn't want to miss out on the warm summer weather and all the human world traditions i've mentioned to him! Anything summer-y that you can think of, we're probably doing it. Sailing, surfing, fishing, playing on the beach, water parks, drive in theaters, everything! He probably plans way too much to do in the short amount of time he has off, and thus has to extend the holiday (much to Barbatos' chagrin). He totally wears a big floppy hat, short shorts (that his thighs are basically bursting out of jksdfhkfd), sunglasses and those painfully bright button up shirts (stolen from me) as well as the most horrific bright red crocs (covered in charms, obviously).

Hi Rin! Today I feel frustrated, but for explaining the reason of my frustration I'll tell you a story:

A long time ago when I first installed Genshin Impact I was really happy, I was finishing the task of clearing the temples of the Four Winds in Mondstadt when I accidentally fell into the Cryo Regisivine's lair. As a new player I didn't know what to do and ended up with half of my characters dead, I also didn't know that I could revive them so when the game started lagging I uninstalled it and forgot about it. Some time later after I got a better phone with more storage space I decided to venture again in Genshin but started a brad new account with another email linked I didn't tried to get my other account back because I thought my characters wouldn't comeback (I know, now that I know that is not the case I feel stupid) so that's why.

Today as an AR 35 that has a lot of exp accumulated (my characters aren't strong enough to make the Ascension Rank 2 quest), that's currently saving every primogem she gets only to have the opportunity to get Zhongli when his re-run comes, I decided to log-in back in my old account just for not letting the characters in there dead. It stayed on AR 6 with only the free characters they give you (aka Amber, Kaeya and Lisa. Besides Traveler), so with some primogems that I have in there I decided to pull. You know that right now there's a re-run of Ayaka and Shenhe, with 4 star characters like Sucrose, Mika and Diona; thing is that I decided to pull randomly with only 7 intertwined fates and I said out loud:

"If I'm getting a four star, at least give me Sucrose", because until know I didn't had enough luck in acquire any five star. It only took me a single pull, I saw a golden star and almost screamed the shit out my lungs... I honestly thought that it was probably going to be a standard banner five star character but NO. IT WAS SHENHE! And I was like: "I HATE YOU PITY SYSTEM! WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE ME THIS CHARACTER ON MY MAIN ACCOUNT?!" Now I have Shenhe but in my AR 7 account and I'm frustrated because I have more materials on my big account and better weapons but I have literal shit on the AR 7 account 😤😭. Thanks for hearing my ramble.

I don't know if we have time since the EBG is ending, but if time permitted, I would have loved to have the chance to explore and fish around the little nuggets you dropped for what happened with You and Ayato and how Venti got involved.

I think the Delusion idea is pretty inspired, and considering how in canon, they were widely available in Inazuma, that's such a fun idea to throw into an EBG scenario. I really want to know how the whole thing came about and what happened storyline wise, both from an in-universe explanation and from an ooc one.

There's so many questions I have, and while I don't know if they'll ever be resolved this go around, from what I've seen of your blog's storyline, it sounded like it was going to some interesting places.

So this is your stage.

so, to start— my sona's (i'll be referring to myself as that for now if u don't mind!) plan was to quietly settle down in mondstadt with venti and at least try to love him wholeheartedly till the end of the ebg .. but, well, that didn't work, considering the asks (and letters) i got from others that made me falter and that plan went to shit.

venti noticed, burned down the estate out of fear that i'd leave too soon and got jealous because this was the time allotted for him to receive be loved truly and purely—but that got sliced in half; switched my vision with a delusion to stop me from leaving (it was the same one as my og dendro one so i didn't know it was a delusion, which was why in vi's 💐 anon ask there was a snippet of dialogue where my sona was very confused because why would venti call this a delusion when it looked like my vision? keyword; looked).

i fainted because i used the delusion too much and lost a lot of blood (when my sona's anxious, she h*rts herself to focus on the pain then heals with her vision, which is why she wears slightly long gloves), then he tried burning the estate, injured ayato in the process, which got me a letter from ayaka telling me to come over (to which i hesitantly agreed to, scared because one, i don't know this woman (a few of my past memories were blurred because of overusing the delusion), and second, i, ironically—don't like seeing people injured). i stopped getting asks (letters) abt it, but if i did get more i would've played along further and would've gotten close to ayato through the child in this anon's ask, healed his wrist, and would later be locked returned back to mond—where venti would fully answer the letters in my stead because again, too much use of a delusion can cause someone to age and die.

But first, a little update since my last ask... in the end, I decided to sacrifice and skip Mr. Otter BUT I managed to get both Wriothesley and Ayato! 💙🩵 I love playing Wrio because I just get to smack everyone and his Itte~rasshai! is just *chef's kiss* lol xD Ayato on the other hand is still on building process, but he is to this day my luckiest 5 star because he came home on just 10 pulls! I still can't believe it, it's not even that big of a feat lmao but those kind of things never happen to me so I got really happy lol! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

Okay, enough with the ramblings, now to the original issue: I'm planning to pull for Raiden on 4.3, I have enough saved up to guarantee her even if I loose the 50/50, but I also have some spare primos that I was thinking on using to try to get Mistsplitter Reforged (Ayaka's weapon), I don't have Ayaka but I also don't have many 5 star weapons sadly T T, so do you think it's a good investment as a weapon for other characters as well? Or should I just save those primos for another weapon and/or character?

Oooh really long time no see Genshin anon-chan ! First of all let me congratz you for getting two of three your wanted list (lol). For your question, as youre not a whaler there's one thing need to be reaffirmed, are you play Genshin for ikemen hunter or gameplay or lore wise ? For me it's 50%-15%-35% while that sometimes different if cute gameplay like Charlotte came out (that curse too much 4* pull which makes me getting C1 Furina lol)

So as I'm lean into lore wise a bit, this could inviting some haters but I'm one of so little players hate Raiden specifically Inazumas and coincidence enough Raiden is their leader (lol). Even in my account I only have Ayato (ikemen), Ayaka (her fontaine costume cute lol), and Yae (I'm HI3 Yae die hard fans lol) only and won't increase anyone

Kazuha from Beidou crux fleet Liyue and Scara from Sumeru, I won't argue on that !

Mistsplitter sword is good for any dps, so even if you don't have Ayaka you can use it on Ayato (even sometimes I saw that sword on Bennett at coop lol) so yeah I can recomended you to pull the weapon but then again good luck with handguard farming. Btw mistsplitter lance had an universal user too~

PS : if you plan getting Raiden + mistsplitter sword while raising Ayato means you can't get out from Inazuma handguard farms for a while (lol)

Yae Miko

Yae already was a force to be reckon with. Her endless teasing never failed to embarrass anyone she targeted. So when you once again delivered a book to her at the shrine, hoping that she would like it as much as you did and she focused on your hand instead of the book, you could already feel a cold shiver run down your spine. It wasn’t as if you thought that anything was wrong with your hand, but her looking at it, was enough to make you worried.

“Would you mind giving me your hand for a moment?”, she asked in a polite tone, but her voice couldn’t distract you from the smug she wore on her face. You hesitated at first, but when it became clear that she would get what she wanted eventually, you relented and gave her your hand. Only to realise that it was smaller than hers.

Yae didn’t even have to say anything for you to start blushing furiously, knowing exactly what was going to happen and when you looked up to her face, your suspicions were confirmed.

“I’m almost finished with work. How about you wait here for me and then we can continue talking”, you didn’t really know if ‘continue talking’ was what you wanted, especially since only someone that didn’t know Yae privately would assume that she meant it in a completely harmless way, but it wasn’t as if you could run from it.

Kokomi

Kokomi never really looked at your hands or cared for them that much. The only thing that counted for her after a long day of work, was that you were besides her, hugging her as she read a book from her favourite series. But when you read the book at the same time, both of you always waiting until the other one finished the page before turning it, both your hands lied next to each other and Kokomi couldn’t help but notice how small yours were.

“Can I turn the page now?”, you asked after you saw that Kokomi’s gaze wasn’t lingering on the book anymore, but when she failed to answer you in time, you followed her stare only to notice that she was looking at your hands. At first you were confused, thinking that it was a signal that she wanted to hold hands, but when you intertwined your fingers with hers, it finally clicked.

Your face was quickly getting red as you pulled your hand away, but judging from Kokomi’s equally awkward face, it was far too late to save face.

“There’s no need to be embarrassed because of something trivial like having smaller hands”, she instantly tried comforting you after noticing your expression, but instead she robbed you of your last hopes that it was just a misunderstanding, confirming that she did indeed notice. It took her a while to calm you down, assuring you that she didn’t mind and would never laugh at you for your hand-size. But even her assurances didn’t prevent your furious blushing whenever you would hold hands.

Ayaka

Ayaka was always shy when it came to showing affection through physical touch or any other ways. It took both of you a long time to even get comfortable with the idea of holding hands, not to mention actually doing so, but when you eventually did, you noticed that your hands were smaller right away, starting to blush anytime you hold hands. But Ayaka didn’t notice, she was far too busy being flustered and self-conscious about everything to even notice your red face, and once she did, she simply assumed that your blush was for the same reason as hers.

Ayaka sat in front of you, nervously fidgeting with her fingers while staring to the side with a huge blush before finally speaking up. “C-Could we maybe hold hands again?”, she stuttered out while glancing at you every now and then. But when you didn’t answer and she noticed your face getting red too, she quickly added something to her request. “It’s fine if you don’t want to. It’s just that it helps me calm down and- You know what? Please just forget that I asked”, she started to rant before shutting her mouth once she felt your fingers intertwine.

It was then, that she looked down to both of your hands and realised the difference in size. “Your hands are so small”, she absent-mindedly stated before smacking her other hand over her mouth. Apologizing over and over again.

“I’m sorry that I said something like that. That was rude, please forgive me”, you couldn’t help but find her panicking cute before remembering what it was about, causing you to also blush even more.

Hey so regarding inazuma and Baal I have some head cannons and your my favorite writer so I thought I’d just dump them all here.

Insazuma is the nation of eternity right? And Baal is basically the second archon after the original one died off somewhere presumably 500 years ago during the destruction of khaenri'ah.

The vision hunt decree was created for the Perdue of “eternity” and subsequently the people who’s visions were taken lost all their ambition. You get where I’m going here? Maybe Baal isn’t acting out of greed, but are justificing her actions to protect her people? The people of khaenri'ah had ambitions greater than anyone in that world could comprehend; they lived withought the guidance of a God, sought knowledge well beyond their limits and created destructive machines capable of “tilling” an enter battle field. Already we can see a shift in the archons perspective towards celestial- venti stated outright that he doesn’t like celestial, and Zhongli not only retired from his role as an archon but placed several meticulously planned tests to gouge his nations strength and stability in the face of a destructive god. Both nations, in a way, are becoming more similar to khaenri'ah in that they are both Godless, independent, and free from omnipotent influences.

Here’s my theory; The Goddess Baal, before inheriting the title of Archon, had witnessed the massacre and destruction of the khaenri'ah people and in order to prevent her nation from suffering the same fate she had launched the vision hunt decree to remove the people’s ambitions before it consumes them. She has witnessed the power of celestia, and in order to avoid the same fate she has made it her goal to separate Inazume from khaenri'ah in all forms and that’s why she continues on her role as archon instead of watching from the sides like venti or Zhongli.

Another thing, a small spoiler warning for those who haven’t finished the quest

I think people who are emotionless used to be the most emotional and heartfelt kind of individuals. Ayaka describes the Raiden Shogun as a cold and emotionless being, akin to a manager or something (I can’t remember her exact words) and I think that’s because Baal had been planning the decree for a long time now and had to steel her resolve knowing the impact it would have on the common folk. In her mind, what she is doing is better for the lo run and is necessary for the survival of her people.

This is just a theory, I haven’t finished the quest myself but it’s been weighing on me for quite sometime now. Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful day!

YOU’RE SO SMART, AND YOU'VE SPURRED ON MY LOCKED AWAY THEORIES THANKS. and I thought similarly, though now that you mention it, baal behaving selfishly seems like she could be protecting her people. after all, the vision hunt decree only happened recently (I think months to a year before the traveler’s arrival in mondstadt), so something shifted dramatically between the archons and celestial for baal to do that in the first place.

me and my friends chat about theories like this all the time on discord and everything you said makes so much sense! I also thought zhongli stepping away from his role as an archon was not just his way of freeing himself, but his way of seeing how his people would fair without a god (this is legit confirmed i think); and they’ve done just fine, proving to celestia that they’re wrong in believing nations and people need a ruling governing body, like an archon. but I feel like baal is still just selfish, even if she’s doing this to protect her citizens, my gut is just telling me she could be both selfish and also be doing this to protect her people.

but about the archons; my friends and I have tied the archons to tons of real life lore and myths, and something that keeps popping up with all the archons is different types of religion and beliefs; we found out that they each represent or are similar to the seven princes of hell (and there’s something about them coming up in demonology a crap ton too, and the similarities are a bit too similar... PAIMON IS MENTIONED TOO AS A KING OF HELL IN DEMONOLOGY LORE AND THAT'S NOT VERY CUTE.... I HAVE SO MANY THEORIES FOR PAIMON YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!). but I think the archons are like 50/50 bad and good (like they’ve done bad things willingly or not before the travelers arrival aka destruction of khaenri’ah) but celestia is the main antagonist, I’m 100% positive of that.

the hydro archon is said to know not to make an enemy of celestia/the divine, so I feel if any of the gods were to back celestia, it would be the hydro archon. but, this leads me to my first question; what in the world does celestia think about the gnosis’ being taken? I’m gonna assume they may care a little less about venti and zhongli because they’ve basically retired, but the other archons? they’re still active and actively represent celestia, so I’m curious to know what celestia would do when baal’s is taken (we know that she’s the next target, because one of the tsaritsa’s goals is to take them all). will baal be punished since she’s still an active ruling archon, or not? something is telling me she will, but who knows...

and this may sound obvious, but i think the archons represent celestia’s own ideals, although over time with the change of archons and maybe shifted opinions in celestia, said archons have changed and now their actions contradict what their title is, I think the reason behind that is because they’re the original and last reigning archons over their respective nations, but the others? they represent ideals, and some of their actions or just people interfering (harbingers talking the gnosis') have contradicted what they stand for entirely.

for example,

venti (ideal is freedom): his is so ironically obvious, but his gnosis was taken from him, against his will; there's nothing free about that. and he also retired from being an archon, and because of that went into hiding, also nothing free about that either; yet he represents freedom. you see what i'm trying to say? lol.

zhongli (ideal is contracts): nothing for him because i don't know much, but i think it's funny how he represents contracts, which are usually very tedious and there's a lot of depth in them, and he just gave his gnosis up so easily and willlingly (even if he has his reasons) by creating a contract like ???? it's funny to me.

baal (ideal is eternity): I haven’t started the archon quest yet for her, but I know she says she is the most eternal of all and sees herself as everlasting, but she’s legit younger than a good few of the archons (venti and zhongli so far!). I also think the original archons ideal was eternity and that’s what they had hoped for their people, but after the fall of khaenri’ah, war, and their death, baal came into power and realized it would be a threat to celestia if the people believe in eternity (like I said, something shifted severely after the war, because a lot of the original archons died or disappeared and their ideals almost became shrewd and a thing of the past with the new ones who took their places) therefore creating the vision hunt decree to get rid of visions; with more people coming into contact with visions, or maybe even when they realized humanity would be fine without an archon ruling over them, war would break out again and this time celestia would be the target. speaking of targets, this is random, but there’s an overwhelming presence of military surrounding/in inazuma and maybe that’s not just to collect visions and because war broke out amongst the people there, but it’s for protection against celestia and the harbingers (I think the other archons know about venti and zhongli's gnosis' being taken, so they're all weary). if baal were to overthrow celestia or betray them somehow, I’m sure since she’s an active archon they would retaliate.

the dendro archon (ideal is wisdom): the dendro archon is way more obvious, as dainsleif says he’s less than wise, but that’s his ideal... he’s also the youngest, so that’s another contradicting fact; young people are often called unwise.

the hydro archon (ideal is justice): I know nothing about her, but she represents justice. I don’t have a solid explanation for her, but based off of theories and if for a moment we assume celestia is the main antagonist, she is said to be afraid of celestia but seemingly backs them by not leaving like venti and zhongli... considering what they’ve done, I’d say she can’t possibly represent the ideal of justice correctly if what had happened to khaenri’ah was far from just, especially since the archons and celestia were behind it but her ideal is justice?

murata (ideal is war): I have no idea about her at all either, there's not much... but considering vanessa was able to pass into celestia when she died and she's considered the children of murata, I think we'll get more info on celestia then too, and more about khaenri'ah, since she's the god of war. she's gonna have the DEETS I tell you!!

the tsaritsa (ideal is unknown): nothing contradicting for now! she is a bit confusing because of how little info we have, but I have reason to believe she's against celestia, hence her taking the gnosis'. for now, until confirmed, I think her ideal or rather goal is to get rid of celestia. i don't think she has a gnosis or vision tbh, maybe the archon before her did and she's assumed to have one as well or maybe it even got taken away... but, i think that's one of the reasons she's created delusions, they're said to be a lot more dangerous and powerful (i think) than visions too. there's also this thing I found out about the gnosis' being designed after chess pieces, and how although there are 7 archons, there are only 6 chess pieces (pawn, rook, bishop, knight, queen, and king)... meaning one of the archons (not venti or zhongli, because we know what their gnosis' look like) has a gnosis that isn't designed after a chess piece... or in my words, doesn't have one at all. aka the tsaritsa... I think the tsaritsa not having a gnosis fits too snugly with her actions so far. and don't get me wrong! if we assume she doesn't have a gnosis, I don't think she's retaliating because of that, i think she just wants to change or get rid of celestia entirely. like this makes perfect sense because the tsaritsa is the only active archon seemingly and openly going against celestia's ideals, whatever they may be...

and about me saying the archons are "evil" or in the wrong for what happened to khaenri'ah (even if they were forced by celestia), in the archaic petra set, ZHONGLI IS SAID TO HAVE BEEN AN EMOTIONLESS AND MERCILESS GOD WHEN HE SLAUGHTERED COUNTLESS OTHER GODS DURING THE ARCON WAR, in order to fulfill a contract of sorts. this is why I think there were ulterior motives during the war and although yes, for now, it seems the archons were forced into complying during the war, I really think they had some willingness too.

at the end of my ted talk I have come to the conclusion that we can't trust the archons until we know more or celestia like... ever AND I STAND WITH THE REGULAR DEGULAR PEOPLE!!!

I liked the story quest it was fun but, like you said, I wasn’t satisfied with Signoras death and I agree we needed more insight of her because she was the original villain like her role was MAJOR and they’re just going to cast it aside and gives us arrifacts descriptions??? Nah she deserved a story quest and THEN bye bye. But however, I really like the voice actors lines (eng) when Raiden Shogun comes towards her like you could feel the emotions and some DEAPTH into her caracter like idk how to explain her charater is tragic and I like that if you know what I mean

ok here we go!! spirit reacts to the genshin impact album: the shimmering voyage, vol 2

below the cut is a bunch of mindless rambles, mostly just highlights as i listen to the album for the first time :D it's kinda long so feel free to ignore me lmao

pathos of shirasagi: gives me studio ghibli vibes, like more specifically spirited away and mwah i love that. it's from ayaka's story quest which makes it even more beautiful

shogun's abdication: got the shivers while listening to this, it's such a powerful piece

all of the scores from "the omnipresent god" cutscenes are just so so powerful. it's like you're rewatching that quest again and tbh it's probably one of my favourite quests from the game

her imperial majesty: do ya'll hear this omg it's incredible this might be one of my favourite pieces on this album THIS is the raiden shogun

unforseen disaster, fury unleashed, separate ways: the way i immediately knew these were from "the shadows deepen" event because of how many times i watched those cutscenes for when i was writing minutiae. it's perfect. they're all perfect, just like albedo

take this!: ahhhh i love the combination of taiko drums with electric guitar because it really screams itto. it's super upbeat and energetic and it makes me really excited for his character theme to be released in the next stellar moments album

midnight in mondstadt: I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SCORE TO BE RELEASED FOR FOREVER IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOURITES AHHHHH it's so gentle and cute thank you hyv

the first 5 disc 2 songs: all i got was flashbacks to fichl's mirage quest and ngl i genuinely hated those puzzles bc i cheated my way through her floating castle thing with xiao and kazuha i was NOT going to sit there and use the stupid camera thing to adjust

flickering brightness and burst into flames: THIS the mix of battle music with traditional chinese instruments for xinyan's mirage!! i had to stop playing her mirage for a second just to listen to the music because of how beautifully it's woven together

die mittsommernacht-fantasia: out of fischl's disc 2 songs i genuinely enjoyed this one, probably because of the mix of her theme, and the urgency that you can feel continuously picks up. i think this is when we encounter her double?

the liyue romans-fleuves: so i uhhh didn't actually play through this event because i was swamped with school work at the time but i wish i played it so i could've heard this music in game. the remix of the liyue theme is just so so lovely and i was smiling while listening to this

bravery and tenderness: remember when the traveller literally got smacked by beisht? yea me too. i love how they incorporated part of the osial battle music with this, and then it leads to shenhe's heroism. it just progressively gets better and better

miko's ingenuity: i've watched this cutscene quite a few times just because i loved how beautiful it was and hearing the music again without any of the dialogue is even better

hang by a thread: ahhh here it is.. the 2.7 cutscene where xiao makes that sacrifice and scared me bc i was so afraid he wasn't going to make it. i love that his theme was woven into this, and you can feel the mix of emotions it's just so beautiful. the buildup to his sacrifice and then the lone piano just kills me oml. i can picture him falling and his eyes closing and then zhongli reaching out to save his son. xiao deserves the world and i'm here to give him all the hugs and cuddles and comfort for him

yaksha's reminiscence: idk but watching this cutscene gets me everytime. the piano is so gentle but it holds bosacius' treasured memories and you can't help but smile even though it hurts. and then it transitions to his memories with the other yakshas it's so painfully reminiscent like the emotions are so present in this score

phantasm suite: this score so effortlessly puts together corresponding music to kazuha, xinyan, fischl, and mona. it all just flows together so well and though i was kinda irritated with the complexity of these puzzles (cause i only play genshin when i'm tired and have free time) i def will miss the golden apple archipelago and the character themed islands

the everlasting trail: pretty sure this is from the quest where we encounter scaramouche lol. i like that it's a different take on the battle music in that it's much more foreboding

soar in the wind: ahhh the score for "tsubaki in thawing snow." this pv made me fall in love with both of the kamisato siblings. it's that mix of nostalgia and old memories, mixed with enjoying and truly living in the present. idk i got shivers when i heard this score lol

elogia cinerosa: aslkjfal;sjd the harbinger pv music!! i watched this video so so many times. my jaw DROPPED when i saw the harbingers. and this music is quite literally perfect for it. it's a great mix of eeriness and tension between the harbingers

song of innocence: what a way to end the album :,) ruu's quest made me cry, like i def wasn't expecting all that emotional damage from an island quest but here we are. ik the original video of this song has a bunch of kids singing and idk i think that's really cute lol

ahhh and we have it, spirit's long rambles about the album. you can bet it's going on repeat for awhile so i can really take in all the songs. if you got this far, props to you bc i'm super tired and idek if any of these rambles will make sense to me in the morning lol

FFBE Stuffs

Anyways, to get down to business, FFBE stuffs. First off, my 5* guaranteed ticket gotten me a Lunera! Woo! She’s been pretty good so far! Hoping for her enhancements pretty soonish, but not holding my breath for anytime soon (RAMZA ENHANCEMENTS WHEN? ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ). Also both the new Halloween units and the enhancements for the old ones look good!

But enough expository banter! FOR GILGAMESH, IT’S MORPHING T- no, unfortunately it’s not. I wanted to kinda put my thoughts about something that’s been on my mind a bit: rerolling vs not rerolling. The one obvious thing in favor of rerolling is a much better start in the game. You get 1-2 5* bases who often get abilities to make them very very good both early on and when they are fully leveled. What’s my stance on this? I do not like rerolling. It can give you some very good 5* bases like Trance Terra (she isn’t awful atm, she just gets miles better with enhancements), Orlandeau, Ayaka, Veritas of the Dark or Luneth, but you’ll not look at lower base characters the same way. If you started out with a Luneth (who is one of the best finishers in the game), would you even look at someone like a Garland or Grace, who are miles below him?

I personally like the thought of using lower tier units instead of the meta 5* bases. I still use my very first 5* base I ever got, even though I have better units than him: Mercenary Ramza. He’s the tank in my team, but I do have better tanks, namely Warrior of Light, Veritas of the Earth and Charlotte. While yes, he’s a 5* base and he’s compared to 2 4* bases and a 3* base, he’s a personal favorite of mine. If I were to get an Agrias, that would be an instant place in my team. Wanna know who my chain capper/finisher was before I got Olive? Garland! A unit deemed as crap, but I love the fuck out of him! When he gets his enhancements later this month, I’ll probably upgrade him (if I get the stuff to do it) because I just the like the unit that much. I have way better finishers, like DKC or Olive, but Garland is a badass above all badasses. Would I think about him this way if I had DKC or Olive right from the start (not that they were out when I started, but whatever)? No, I wouldn’t have even given him the time of light to try him out. Why? Badass or not, he would be a crappy unit in a slot I have already filled... So why would I? And that’s why I’m happy I didn’t reroll. Wanna know what my strongest unit was for the longest time? Clyne, a completely useless unit. He still carried the hell out of my team. If I did reroll, I would’ve probably not even glanced at him.

Anyways, just a small ramble about FFBE stuff. I don’t wanna get too ranty or too long, so I’ll keep it at this. Thanks for reading!

I posted my first fic almost exactly 6 months ago, and while the fic itself has long been deleted (because it was honestly really sh*t) this blog is still there. In these 6 months 800 people (and probably one or two bots, since this is tumblr after all) all made the terrible decision to start following me/hj. And while I could write a thousand words to tell you how grateful I am, I'm not trying to waste even more of your time, so let me just be brief for once and say:

Thank you all, every person that reads my fics and everyone trusting me enough to request something from me, I know I'm not as active as in the past, but I still appreciate you all.

Anyway, you're probably all here for the event, so let me just quickly tell you the rules.

Rules:

One prompt and one character per request

Every prompt can get requested up to 2 times, if there are more than 2 requests, I'll choose which one counts on first come, first serve basis (there might be exceptions if I really like the prompt and character, but don't count on those).

There's no limit how often a character can get requested, but if one character gets requested too often, I might have to take them off the list of posibilities, so that other characters can get requested as well

Please specify if needed. If the chosen prompt could be interpreted as different genres (angst, hurt/comfort, etc), or you want to request an angst prompt with a specific subgenre (comfort/no comfort for example), then please say so. I don’t want to get things wrong.

When do the requests end?

You can request until 8pm Friday, 29th of July (CET)

One (/) means the prompt has been requested once already. Two (/) mean that it was reqeusted twice already and isn’t available any longer.

When something has been requested, I will write the character it got requested for next to the /, so that the same prompt wont be requested twice with the same character.
