Byakuya's beef with the Shibas is genuinely so hilarious to me. This guy heard that Ganju was a shiba and then immediately pulled out his sword. It's on sight every time XD
He released his shikai. On Ganju. He didn't even do it to Ichigo in Karakura lol, he's so extra for no reason. Wth did the shibas do to this man??
Also was his command die?? Did Kubo change later?? Cause he says it again when he's about to activate his shikai, look
Ichigo and Hanatarou man, I missed them so much, look at the way he checks on him and he called him buddy I love them I'm gonna cry
My babieeessss I love Rukia and Ichigo in this arc so much😭😭😭
Kaien and Ichigo parrallels ~
Byakuya refusing to acknowledge the fact that Ichigo is most definitely a shiba is my favourite thing ever. Like even before they were anything marginally close to friends he just turned a blind eye to all the weird sketchy shit surrounding Ichigo's life-- like the hollow mask the comes out of no where in their fight and the fact that he looks exactly like Kaien
Also this gives me the feeling that he knew about Isshin being Ichigo's dad but chose to ignore it, denying him being directly related to Kaien because he knows Isshin is Ichigo's dad not anyone else

Enjoy an awing Ichigo! He's so cute...I'mma die.
This is sketched for one of my fanfictions but I'm not gonna say which one it is. Yet.

my experience in neo: the world ends with you
spoilers for both twewy and ntwewy btw
woo I finally beat this game. The story was.... Eh. I didn't like the story. throughout the game I was wondering when it was gonna get good and then... it never really did. shiba becomes a twist good guy. shoka is a gamer girl for some reason. tsugumi does nothing despite being hyped up 10 years before the game was announced.
I think it's cool that they brought back old characters, but did they really need to bring back the ENTIRE twewy cast?
Beat being a party member was fine. Minamimoto is there but only for the first few days and then he's gone until week 3. Why the hell are joshua and shiki here as well when they contribute nothing to the plot? AND WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO BRING BACK LITTLE MIS MICRO TRANSACTIONS?? You can keep neku in though he reminds me of a friend and I always like when he's on screen.
So about shoka being swallow.. I don't think that was a good plot twist at all. First, they teased swallow was in the game by showing someone in a hoodie that looked nothing like shoka, implying that beat was swallow. Okay, good start, now we know swallow is in the game. Next, swallow reveals that they're in the game, but won't say anything else. Ok cool, now the characters know. Finally, all the other teams die but swallow still reads messages. Now we have reason to believe swallow is a reaper and on the ruinbringers. AND THEN THEY THREW ALL THAT OUT THE WINDOW AND HAD SWALLOW BE SHOKA WHY. THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE WASN'T SHE LOCKED OUT OF HER ACCOUNTS AFTER BEING KICKED OUT OF THE REAPERS?? WHY WOULD SHE BE ABLE TO READ MESSAGES?? AND EVEN IF SHE WAS ABLE TO READ THEM WHY DON'T THEY GIVE OFF THE NOTIFICATION SOUNDS?? THEY SHOULD'VE NOTICED BY THEN THAT SHOKA'S PHONE MYSTERIOUSLY VIBRATED WHENEVER RINDO SENT A MESSAGE.
sorry. I think that plot twist sucks.
Kubo being an angel had no fanfare at all and I don't like that. He was literally just like "oh also I'm an angel prepare to die"
Joshua. Bud. Why are you here. Joshua shows up at the end just to ask neku to be composer and then teleports shoka to cat street and never shows up again. Why.
Onto the things about this game that I ACTUALLY like..
The music is phenomenal. They took everything about twewy's aesthetic and modernized it. They even did the same thing with the art style. The character interactions are great and I loved seeing beat and fret's dynamic. I love these dumbasses. I like that nagi finally started opening up to fret near the end. I like neku and rindo's interactions. I like that fret tried out elestra at the end because nagi told him to and thought that was really cute. That's it.
Final verdict: 6/10.
Ntwewy would've worked better as a reboot than a sequel to a 15 year old game.
I haven't unlocked the secret reports because I am burnt out on playing this game. I'm gonna go play a worse game now (bdsp)

The Narutard's Manga Rant
(c) Kishimoto Masashi (Naruto)
ho hum… hooooo…… huuuuuuuuum….
>_> yep. question. is it MY fault if i like the minuscule characters that obviously the freaking author doesn't care for that (s)he ends up killing off the character in the middle of the series?!!!!! breathe..said that in 1 breath..lol
ANYWAY. Back to the topic. i was kidding. well. no. but that's not what i meant. coz. yeah. anyhow. THIS is what i meant to say before i started out that rant above..
question. is it MY fault if i like [obviously important] characters who are simply MEANT to die? >_<
Naruto 384. I haven't read it… not exactly. but all i can say is this.
the side note. at the last page of that chapter. says something like "a shocking conclusion Sasuke has killed Itachi"
ho hum… ho hum…
Jiraiya last week. Itachi THIS week? who's next? Tsunade? Kakashi? [and other characters i'd RATHER not name..lol] >_> laaaaaaame
well. since Kishimoto Masashi has THE skill to surprise me.. [not really. but i hope he does THIS TIME] … Itachi better be alive. mmm..yeah. so. kay… be back in a couple mintues.. gonna go read Bleach..aha…
hmmm.. there are no english translations yet.. [for any of this week's JUMP releases…>_<] although i just read the summary critic thingy for BLEACH…as expected.. nothing really happened. ..which is good. coz… i'm FINALLY starting to like certain characters there.. and maybe Kubo Taito will kill those certain characters later on anyway..
hmm… next!
well.. there are no updates for the other 2 mangas i read..so. yeah. guess this is the end of my manga rant.
oh. wait. on the other hand…
they're making Vampire Knight an anime next year… ^^ so. i'm happy. coz i don't like a particular character yet. so. they're all safe. hahaha ^^ thanks again to Andy for introducing VK to me ^^
PS. This blog was originally posted on DeviantArt.

oh you’re good! I’m glad you’re back! <3 I hope my asks/ranting were entertaining enough for you 😅.. currently on episode 120 and wow.. that ururu sleep walking scene?? I didn’t know she had THAT in her? I was like yelling and screaming like a mad man because I was sooo surprised at what was unfolding before my eyes 😃😃 and also ikaku’s back story made so much sense I love that he has loyalty and a goal to keep with zaraki! that was a little moving. now I didn’t doubt he was gonna die (jk a part of me was scared for him) but I’m glad he pulled through <3 the events going rn are insane! it’s enough for me to binge. (I do think tho fillers do slow me down in my watching progress but I still finish them)
I very much enjoyed the updates. It was a nice break from all the pornbot follower notifications.
When Urahara’s kids get involved in a fight I always hold my breath, same as Ichigo’s sisters. I worry they’re gonna get hurt but then they kick ass.
Ikkaku is a great character. His bromance with Ichigo is adorable. He gives me Dragon Ball Z vibes. Every character has reasons for being where they are, and they all grow with their choices. I love the little backstories we get. Eventually all the captains and lieutenants get one. Tite Kubo created a soirée of memorable characters.
You’re really getting into the thick of the show now, the more Aizen appears the better it gets. He’s a fantastic character, one of my favorite anime villains. I can’t wait for you to meet his subordinates…

oh gosh, now I'm commenting on this too. I think this scene is THE ONLY TIME Ichigo EVER looks remotely fond at Orihime. And it's honestly such a sweet scene!
And Ichigo thanks her at the end for. caring. about. him. We know the other characters do in their own way, but look at the shocked face Ichigo has at first. He obviously never hears someone giving a shit about him! And that's really sad.
(We know Rukia cares about him and vice versa but this is about Orihime).
I always felt the tone shifted with Orihime when she admitted to her brother's picture she was jealous of Rukia's relationship with Ichigo and how she couldn't attain that type of bond ever. Which, fuck yeah, let's get some teen drama up in this bitch.
But then we as readers are in a chokehold. For development. Character development? Where is it, why aren't we getting growth from the princess? I don't know. Nothing begets nothing I suppose.
I don't like Orihime's confession bc the art doesn't reflect the tone. What I mean is, why the fuck are we forced to look up Ichigo's nose as she's about to kiss him? 😂 Why such a stylistic choice, Kubo? He's a master artist and then we get that angle??? 😂 I would take the confession without drawing a smooch period. You can love someone desperately and not kiss them.
I'm not gonna go into the HC arc, Fullbringer, or TYBW bc I don't really care to. Would Orihime's "confession" be better suited before Ichigo is about to face Yhwach? That's pretty fucked up but I condone it, lol! Like they're both possibly about to die. Speak now or forever hold your peace, girl, bc he clearly wasn't conscious to hear it the first time.
Unrelated but I think volumes 16-20 was the peak of Kubo's artistic style. Everything past volume 21 is kinda more ... streamlined and choppy? Idk how those two words work together but it's like the demand to punch out art for Weekly made the art less impactful and w/o the flare Kubo used in say vol. 19. The story had changed, the tone shifted, but nothing seemed to correlate any longer.
I didn't know that babbling to yourself and even so much as thinking, much more going for a kiss towards an UNCONSCIOUS person, counted as a love confession...
... It looks more like restraining order material, but okay...
#ichigo kurosaki#bleach#orihime inoue#My thoughts#Don't come at me bc idgaf.#Orihime was my favorite character when I first read Bleach.#If you can believe it

@origcmibird inquired – “Airin, it is past midnight, why are you doing this?”
The Felicid’s body is WRIGGLING beneath several sheets. In fact, all this cloth has appeared to be stolen. Not that the horrid beast cared. Some more wriggling and his nose appears first, and soon his head pops from under the sheets.
“ Because I have to burrow! ” It’s instinctual. And the dirt around here was too hard, and the sands near the water’s edge was too gritty. The next best thing? Cloth! “ I’ll freeze to death and die if I don’t! ”

-- HC. he may never admit it, but somewhere deep inside grimmjow KNEW he was going to lose to ichigo during their final fight. he probably thought he was going to die, too.
-- FROM the very beginning, he was aware of ichigo’s extreme potential & capability for growth. he’s the only one who actively spoke on his suspicions, insisting that ichigo could grow to a point even they wouldn’t be able to stand a chance against him ( & voila, he was right ). & this is something he’s not once forgotten, not in any of his fights with him. sure, every time he had to step away because someone got in the way ( first tousen, then the vizards & ulquiorra )-- but in each fight, ichigo’s rate of growth was OBVIOUS. in their first encounter, the shinigami couldn’t stand a chance, in their second encounter, ichigo COMPLETELY turned the tables by overwhelming him for a short amount of time. & this is given that the change happened in only a few days span of time. & given grimmjow’s constantly instinct to pick up on smaller details ( such as guessing how many getsuga’s ichigo had left, etc, etc. ), it’d be obvious to him just how much he’d grow for their third fight.
-- IT’S also why he looks relatively sad when he sends ulquiorra to a separate location. because he knows it might be the LAST time he’d ever see ulquiorra-- since his fight against ichigo would probably be his last. which essentially means he’ll probably never be able to have the serious fight against him he’s always wanted. it’s also why he’s so adamant about having ichigo completely healed, while he doesn’t care about his own injuries-- since while part of him knows he’s going to lose, the prouder part of him, the KING in him REFUSES to believe he’ll fall again. he doesn’t give a shit about ‘ fair fights ‘ or anything of the like ( maybe he does a bit here, but he certainly doesn’t in the war ), he mostly wants to prove to himself that he’ll never be able to lose against ichigo by fighting him at his peak strength.
-- THROUGHOUT the entire battle ( & even after ichigo cuts him down a second time ), he’s in complete DENIAL of his own thought process & battle outcome-- adamantly refusing to believe that he, the KING, would lose to the one guy he hates the most ( almost as if trying to convince himself to stop thinking he could lose ). while at the same time, it’s why he looks so sad, but not at all surprised when ichigo suddenly destroys his strongest technique & is about to defeat him. because part of him saw it coming, part of him knew things were going to end this way.
#⟡ HEADCANON || GRIMMJOW#listen .. . . . .#there's a whole extra panel in that last screenshot /just/ for him to look slightly sad#that expression SCREAMS to me ' i knew it '#or smth along those lines#u can't tell me kubo drew that without it meaning something#& hIM LOOKING SAD / DISAPPOINTED WHEN HE SENDS ULQUIORRA AWAY ???#hi waht teh fu ck#in a way; paying orihime back. saying waht he did to ulquiorra before sending him away. it's a way to wrap up loose ends#bc he knows he might not be able to later#sure he saved orihime bc he wanted to heal ichigo but listen#he probably could've gotten her to heal him without saving her before hand#since in the end ichigo's her friend & there's no way she'd just let him die right ?#ihunkjSDFCX IM JUST RAMBLING AT HTIS POINT ( im most likely gonna change my mind about a few things later ) but listen#tldr; he knew he was going to lose to ichigo & that always breaks me

Ok, so. I'm still trying to recover from the AMAZING work Ryotaro Okiayu has done giving Byakuya the best voice we could ever ask. I'm beyond grateful for his incredible work. I'm a manga reader and I know he is gonna be ok, but the tears, his pleading tone, the shaky voice... it was as if the voice actor was suffering exactly what Kubo wanted to portray in the manga... It made me cry, not that type of balling my eyes out, but the type where one single tear falls down your cheek that's painful enough for your reactions to become null. I swear to god, voice acting is such an amazing art!!
Beware of spoilers ⬇
Also, many people wanted him to die, but it wasn't fair.. his reason, his name, the squad he commands, the way he is, he had his pride shattered by people who played dirty instead of fighting with all they have such as he did. Would have been fair for him to die feeling ashamed? with the pain of knowing he couldn't protect what's precious to him? no. Have Masaki, died protecting her son, or even in One Piece, taking Ace as an example, he died protecting Luffy, so he died with a smile. Rosinante? died protecting Law, and died with a smile. Oden? died for the sake of Wano and the future, died with a smile. Roger even. I'm not saying it's fair they died, but, dying with no regrets is way more honorable than dying this way. Kubo wanted to show contrast in between how Gotei 13 is honorable and fair vs the Quincies who weren't fair at all. Yhwach tells Yamaji that same thing "you became soft and fair, and since then you had so much more things to love and protect"

Ukitake is one of those characters I feel that it was very obvious he was effected by different things going on in the final arc of Bleach because he dies rather abruptly, his death purpose is foiled not too long afterwards, another solution is found, and then it’s just not touched on outside of the literal epilogue where Kyoraku is at his grave. And then all of sudden he matters like he used to in the new chapter.
I’m actually not suggesting that he not die in the anime adaptation, sorry guys! We already got a really damn good reason to dive into Hell (among others) in a potential new rescue arc. It just always felt fishy to me his absence from the narrative in TYBW happens not so far from the part where it’s revealed that Kyoraku is apart of a family that has a curse where they’re all basically doomed to lose their spouses. It was immensely ironic to me and a lot of us noticed the oddness of this being the subject of the Kyoraku flashback not too long after Ukitake’s brutal and sudden demise.
And if the theme was going that Byakuya dies a meaningful “death” (supposedly I’ve heard he really was supposed to die originally but idk if it’s true or not- maybe he wouldn’t have regained his powers?) then Rukia has a meaningful battle and growth for someone important to her. Kenpachi and Unohana have a meaningful battle leading to Unohana having a meaningful death and Kenpachi having meaningful growth while losing the person at his side from the beginning. So...then where’s the meaning in Ukitake’s death? Why isn’t it touched on at all during Kyoraku’s battle? And why do they leave it with that weird final talk in the rain? Cause what happens is so unfair and cruel that it would’ve been nice for at least THAT be addressed.
By that, I mean Yhwach caused Masaki Kurosaki to not be able to defend herself which lead to her dying on top of her small son and Kanae Katagiri to lose consciousness which lead to her dying three months later and NOW he’s caused Jushiro Ukitake to die by sucking out the thing keeping him alive as he tried to protect everyone. Felt like it could’ve led up to some more righteous anger directed towards the so-called son of God or at least a decent and emotional response from everyone. I mean now Rukia has ALSO lost a parentlike presence in her life and she doesn’t get a damn hug????
You can just tell from the epilogue and new chapter that any mention of Ukitake was probably meant to be a lot more meaningful because of the reactions among everyone and how big a deal Ukitake being cast into Hell is for them all. Even Ichigo! Because Ukitake dying would’ve moved everyone!
This isn’t actually like a big “I’m mad” post because it’s been years and honestly I’d rather new content give me what I’m looking for at this point but then I hear they’re adding battle scenes and that could mean more Ukitake for all I know. Here’s to maybe but I’m not gonna hold my breath. I just wanna see him again if the series continues cause it seems Kubo understands his importance (at least now) but he just didn’t work that out properly in TYBW or something. I feel like it’s clear it was a mess up and that Ukitake deserved better.

Kubo’s Rocket Family would find out about Emmet and Ingo immediately after Kubo’s first encounter with them. Kubo keeps in regular contact with them, checking up on them and making sure things are going well. Naturally, many of Kubo’s more mischievous family members decide they have to fuck with Ingo and Emmet as much as possible.
They decide to go harass Looker into letting them in on the Plasma mission. Looker does NOT have the energy to deal with their shit so he caves pretty quickly and has them go through a little bit of training before setting them loose on Unova. They’ve already proven themselves to be good, respectable people in the rehabilitation program so he doesn’t think this is TOO bad of an idea.
More and more former Team Rocket members start trickling into Team Plasma, which Ghetsis of course doesn’t mind because Team Rocket’s goal is literally just his own. Rule the world. Blah blah blah. Anyways now Kubo has to deal with his biological brothers almost ruining his plans and his Rocket Family deliberately starting shit with his brothers for the fun of it. It’s driving him up the WALL.
Ingo and Emmet are just pointing in outrage at these people like?! I’m sorry did you just call him YOUR little brother?! He’s OUR little brother! Are you the ones corrupting him?! YOU SHALL DIE BY OUR BLADE!!!
And the Rocket family are just smug little ASSHOLES like PHFFFT corrupt him?! Please he RAISED us, everything you see is a result of HIM. Anyways now we’re gonna beat the shit out of you as honorary siblings.
Ingo and Emmet already have the cain instinct for the Rocket Family and are ready to THROW DOWN.
Kubo wants to throttle both sides so bad. He’s glaring pointedly at Looker, who’s very much Not looking at Kubo. No eye contact. He Is Not Seeing.

BEFORE READING, I NEED YOU TO BE AWARE OF THIS:
1. the whole story belongs to Gege Akutami and the credits go to them and them only
2. the spell curses used belong to Tite Kubo due to them being the ‘Kidos’ being used on the manga and anime ‘Bleach’ - but none is mentioned in this chapter
3. this whole thing might be confusing and please don’t expect a part four soon because i will do it when i am ready or feel like i can at the right time ʕ ᵒ ᴥ ᵒʔ
4. i don’t know, if i am going to add this onto my masterlist since this was just for fun to be honest!
Taken back to his discovery, you turned back to look at Gojo will a deadpan expression leading him to then carefully suggest, “Since you are part of the lost L/N clan, I won’t tell the higher-ups about your existence but rather have you twist your name slightly when you enrol, how does that sound?”
Glancing at the teacher with suspicion, you tried to hide the gut-wrenching feeling that there was not a possible chance of you now escaping from this. You had been caught and found and there was no way to lie yourself out of this situation you were in, not when Gojo had discovered who you really were while Fushiguro seemed to look clueless on what was going on between his teacher and the female sorcerer in front of him.
Letting out a sigh of frustration once again, you looked up at the sky, letting the same moonlight bathe your face as it did for Sukuna a few minutes ago.
“What a drag”
ꕥ
‘What the hell did I get myself into you?’
While sipping on the straw of your orange juice carton, you were currently leaning against a railing in the city of Toyko within the Harajuku district in front of a train station, where you were supposed to meet with the new student that had enrolled in the school.
Between you were both Itadori, who was eating an ice lolly while sitting on the same railing, and Fushiguro, who was just standing while facing towards you both, as they were waiting for the same person as well as a special someone who was supposed to be here with the three of you.
“How are there only three first-years? Isn’t that too few?” Itadori curiously asked as he turned to Fushiguro for the answer to his understandable questions, since he was in shock that a year group could be so small for a large school like Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College.
“Well, have you ever met anyone who can see curses before?” Fushiguro questioned, as he was trying to make his new classmate get the answer he was looking for.
“Hm, expect for L/N, who hid it from everyone, nope,” Itadori than answered, leading Fushiguro look at you for a second, only to discover you still continuing to drink the orange juice that you had bought earlier while looking at the entrance of the station in a daze, it was like you were ignoring the two of them.
“That just proves how small a minority jujutsu sorcerers are,” Fushiguro explained before reminding Itadori about a really important piece of information that the vessel seemed to have forgotten. “Remember, that L/N is now Gojo Y/N, since Gojo-sensei changed her name for privacy reasons,” Fushiguro stated, leading to your classmate to look at you with a more surprised look.
“Why are you now referred to as Gojo rather than your last name?” Itadori queried as he leaned forward to get a better look at you. This reminder of your changed name led to your eyes to squint in annoyance as you steadily but furiously began to scrunch your carton since your situation, in your opinion, had gone from bad to worse.
“Ah….I’m not really sure, to be honest,” you answered with a lie, as you moved the plastic straw away from your lips as you then stirred the box around like it was a glass of wine.
‘Ugh….Gojo...’
ꕥ
“Stareeeeeeeeeeee”
Looking down at the document sheet that was handed to you, you were taken by sudden surprise at the name section that was on the top left of the sheet, as there was a subtle change made from what you could recall from your birth name.
“Gojo Y/N…” you muttered under your breath leading to your teacher to clap his hands in delight before presenting you with his classic cheeky smile.
“Ah~ you are now my adoptive daughter~” Gojo cheerfully confessed, leading you to pause for a second before looking back up at the special-grade sorcerer with widened eyes - like a deer caught in headlights - once you processed the information in your head.
“How is everyone going to believe that is true? There is no way, people will believe that if they see the documents were signed yesterday or today,” you argued, trying to convince him that the excuse he gave to hide your identity was ridiculous. However, before you could even get a second word in, you unexpectedly felt a finger being pressed lightly onto your lips as if to tell you to hush yourself.
“Don’t worry, I manipulated the documents to say that I had adopted you five years ago, so your secret is safe with me and the principle, none of the higher-ups knows and none of the other students as well except for Yuji and Megumi,” Gojo informed you with a smirk, as if telling you that you had been proven wrong. Sighing in frustration, you finally gave up with the argument and handed the sheet back to Gojo as you began to fully take in where you were right now.
It was such a quick process. The day your schoolmate Itadori Yuji became the vessel of the King of Curses, was the same day that both Fushiguro and Gojo took you to Jujutsu Tech to attend and become a student at their school. In your mind, you were still supposed to be back home in Sendai. Back home in the empty house that used to be shared with your mother. Back home where you were away from the city life and peacefully in the countryside away from the hustling capital while blending into the crowd as if you were just a normal student with a normal life.
If you hadn’t come back to school that night.
If you hadn’t noticed the curse back at the rugby field.
If you hadn’t even looked out that window, to begin with.
All this wouldn’t have happened.
None of it.
You still would have been hidden like you were supposed to be.
“Oh! L/N, you’re staying here as well?”
Snapping out of your daze, you quickly turned back around to find the source of the voice that called out for you, only to discover both Itadori and Fushiguro walking towards you leading you to then slowly close your dorm door before greeting them with a small wave.
“Ah, ah, it’s now Gojo Y/N boys, make sure to not say her last time,” Gojo quickly stated, causing both of the boys to look at their teacher with such bewilderment before turning their head towards you as if you were going to explain to them what was the reasoning behind this sudden change.
To be honest, there was no point in your opinion. Itadori had no idea or clue on who the three families were in the jujutsu world and it was such effort to explain to him the reasons why these families were so famous and as for Fushiguro, he could probably discover that on his own so, once again, there was no point on giving them an answer.
“Well, it’s all good!” Gojo suddenly stated, as he once again clapped his hands together with a gleeful expression displayed on his face leading you to look to the side with an annoyed glance, as you didn’t need nor want the happy-go-lucky enthusiasm after discovering you were now ‘part’ of the Gojo clan as someone’s adoptive daughter. “Most importantly, we’re heading out tomorrow, we’re gonna go pick up the fourth first-year!” Gojo declared to the three of you causing a total of three pairs of eyes to look at him as you, Itadori and Fushiguro began to process the information.
‘Another one huh?’
ꕥ
“By the way, didn’t you say I was the third and L/N was the fourth?” Itadori questioned, as he suddenly remembered that you and him unexpectedly enrolled in the sorcerer school leading him to wonder how long has it been since the ‘second’ student had been enrolled and why they were only just arriving now.
“Their entry was decided a while ago, you know what our school’s like, everyone has unique circumstances and remember it’s Gojo, not L/N,” Fushiguro answered while trying to remind Itadori of your new name, leading him to place his hand on the back of his neck before informing you and Fushiguro that he was just used to calling you by your original last name.
“It’s fine, just call me Gojo when we are around other people excluding Gojo-sensei, okay?” you reassured Itadori, causing the cheerful boy to nod at you, informing you that he understood your statement.
“Sorry for the wait!” Gojo shouted at you three as he was walking towards you before noticing a change of look between his two new students. “Your uniforms made it in time, I see,” Gojo uttered as he peered at both you and Itadori before giving an approving nod as if he was a fashion designer looking at his models before hitting the runway.
From what Gojo has stated, Itadori was wearing the classic blue uniform with the noticeable two pins sewed onto the left side to indicate that he was a sorcerer at jujutsu tech with a red hoodie that added a hint of colour compared to his counterpart Fushiguro, who had a high neck. On the other hand, you were sporting a short jacket with a white dress shirt underneath while wearing a long skirt that had a slit on the side to give your legs some room, revealing the thigh-high black socks you were wearing to cover some of the skin from the gentle winds that were coming while your katana was resting in a bag as you were carrying it on your left shoulder to conceal your weapon from the other citizens around.
“Yeah, it’s a perfect fit,” Itadori said while showing his teacher the thumbs up before suddenly commenting, “though it’s slightly different from Fushiguro’s, it has a hood for one,” as he started to point the differences between his uniform to his new classmate’s to which caused you and the mentioned sorcerer to look at him while he tugged on his red hoodie.
“That’s because the uniforms can be customised upon request,” Gojo mentioned, leading you to discover and finally understand why your uniform looked completely different to the one another student was wearing, all you remembered about her was that she had greenish hair while wearing a pair of glasses.
‘So, he was the one that put the request in huh?’
“But I never put in any requests,” Itadori commented, as he was confused on why there was an alteration to his uniform without his knowledge.
“I was the one who put on the custom order, as well as my daughter new uniform~” Gojo said with a smile as he playfully decided to pull on your cheek leading you to smack his hand away, resulting in him pouting while rubbing the back on his hand like your smack had caused him some pain.
“Whatever, I guess,” Itadori remarked, as he looked down onto his hoodie.
“Be careful, Gojo-sensei has a tendency to do things like that,” Fushiguro warned both you and itadori before looking back to the mentioned sorcerer with a question in mind. “Most importantly, why are we meeting up in Harajuku?” Fushiguro curiously asked since it was a bit strange to him that a student didn’t just arrive at the school like all three of you did.
“Because it’s what she asked for,” Gojo answered before Itadori randomly noticed a popcorn stand before declaring that he wanted some to enjoy leading you to walk behind him to make sure he didn’t get lost within the city that was crowded with the ongoing shopper as well as tourists that decided to take a break away from their work or lives to experience a new setting.
“Oh hello there, are you on the clock right now?” someone randomly asked, causing you to turn back only to discover what seemed to be a businessman with a green suit paired with a unique purple tie decorated with teal polka dots.
“Sort of but not really,” you uninterestingly answered, giving the man a bored expression leading his nervousness to increase further due to the anxiety of talking to a random stranger in the middle of the streets of Tokyo.
“You see, I’m looking for potential models, this is who I am,” the man explained as he processed to pull out his business card to which you didn’t give a day of time to look down at. “Would you be interested?” the businessman processed to question before you lifted an open palm while giving the man a polite smile.
“Sorry, I’m not really interested in modelling at all but thank you for the opportunity,” you politely declined as you noticed the deflated look the worker had given you. However, before the modelling scout could apologise and thank you for your time, a hand violently grabbed his shoulder before he was pulled back to face the opposite way.
“Hey, you, what about me?” a girl asked, causing you to look behind the small businessman’s figure to see a girl around the same age as you point to herself with the thumb. From what you could observe, she had short orange hair that seemed to be dyed due to the slightly darker colour of her eyebrows but it wasn’t obvious while carrying what seemed to be many shopping bags around her arms while her carrier pink backpack on her back. However, the uniform she was wearing was saying something as the buttons gave an indication of what she was.
‘Ah, so she’s the new student’ you thought before processing to continue looking at the scene right in front of you.
“For the modelling gig, duh, I’m asking what you think about me,” she commented leading you to give squint your eyes in confusion, what was the point of being a model when you were already a jujutsu sorcerer at Toyko Metropolitan Curse Technical College.
On the other hand, what you were concerned with was the three males who were standing on the sidelines watching the situation unfold leading you to give them a bored look before walking towards them with your left hand in your skirt pocket since the slit on the other side made it not possible for another pocket to be made.
“We’re about to go talk to her? That is kinda embarrassing,” Itadori commented while lifting up what seemed to be more than popcorn in his hand leading to a confused look to appear on your face, while Fushiguro gave an irritated side glance as he tutted.
“So are you,” Fushiguro mentioned, due to the silly ‘rook’ tourist glasses he was wearing before glancing to the other side where Gojo stood as the teacher called out the female student to come their way, while some female passersby commented on the white-haired sorcerer’s blindfold to which was quite understandable.
ꕥ
Slashing the metal locker door shut, the new student then inserted the needed amount of coins to make sure the door was completely locked before turning to the three males that stood right in front of her.
“Okay, once again,” Gojo mentioned as he raised an arm to indicate to her that she can introduce herself.
“Kugisaki Nobara,” Kugisaki introduced herself before continuing with, “be happy, boys. I’m the one woman in your group,” leading to some confusion to float around within the group.
“Where’s Y/N?” Gojo curiously asked the boys as they continuously turned around the area to find where you were before turning back to look at Kugisaki. Suddenly, behind Kugisaki, the boys had found you heading towards the group while casually sipping on another carton of orange juice that you had bought out of the blue once you saw it while passing by a vending machine when you were walking to the nearest locker station for the student that had arrived.
“Ah, sorry, I got a bit thirsty,” you commented while lifting the carton up before finally standing next to the new student, who you just found out was named Kugisaki Nobara as you were able to still hear what she was saying while you were coming back to them. However, it seemed like you weren’t what she was analysing right now as you noticed her looking right at Itadori and Fushguro with an intense glance.
“I’m Itadori Yuji, I’m from Sendai,” Itadori introduced himself as he used his finger to indicate to himself as well.
“Fushiguro Megumi,” bluntly stated, as he turned to look at Kugisaki.
Letting out a sigh of disappointment, Kugisaki proceeded to complain about the circumstances she was in, leading the boys to look at her with a really awkward expression on their faces.
“She took one look and sighed,” Itadori commented, as his face turned into a sulk while Fushiguro wasn’t making eye contact at all.
“I’m Gojo Y/N, I hope we can get along,” you quickly stated, while trying not to cringe at your name, leading Kugisaki to look to her side to find you looking at her before a hint of glee and joy processed to manifest in her eyes.
“Maybe the circumstances aren’t that bad! But why do you have the same name as your teacher when you don’t even look alike?” Kugisaki mentioned while giving you a small smile to which you gave her the same trying to be friendly with the new classmate that you had just met.
“Ah it’s a drag to explain fully, but I’m his adoptive daughter,” you quickly answered as you didn’t want to slip up the lie that was concealing your whole identity which seemed to convince the sorcerer since she gave you another nod, telling you that she understood what you had just mentioned.
“Are we going somewhere from here?” Fushiguto asked his teacher, as he turned to look towards the direction of the tall man leading to a light laugh to emit from his mouth causing you to get suspicious of what Gojo was planning.
“We do have all four of you together and not to mention, three of you are from the countryside,” Gojo suddenly mentioned, leading all his students to look at him, anticipating what he had planned. “So of course we’re going on a tour of Tokyo,” Gojo suddenly announced, leading to excitement between Itadori and Kugisaki to burst out while Gojo joined in, to hype the moment up.
“Tokyo! Tokyo! Tokyo! We love Tokyo!” Itadori and Kugisaki cheered, leading you and Fushiguro to look at the two with such confusion expressed on your faces.
While you looked at the scene with such confusion, Fushiguro was more confused at the fact of why you weren’t enlivened at the fact about this ‘tour’ while the two started arguing about the structure of Tokyo as they were getting some places confused with other places.
“Why ain’t you excited?” Fushiguro commented as you continued to sip on the citrusy drink that you had brought earlier leading to another question on your obsession with orange juice to pop up in his head.
“I’ve already been to Tokyo for some business trips with my mother from time to time and what I mean by that is exorcising curses here with her,” you answered before continuing with “also, I have a suspicion that we ain’t going on a tour, it is Gojo Saturo after all,” before going back to drinking on the carton drink you were craving for.
“I will now announce our destination,” Gojo stated, leading both Itadori and Kugisaki to kneel down in front of your teacher, only for you to give them a strange look before Gojo proudly announced where everyone was heading off to.
“Roppongi!”
“Ro-ppong-gi!” Itadori and Kugisaki said with glee as they turned to each other with the same exciting look.
‘Well, let’s see how this goes’
ꕥ
‘I knew it....’
“There's a curse here,” Fushguro stated as you gave a slight nod while inspecting the large abandoned building that was surrounded by a large ominous dark purple hues indicating that there was just more than one curse in the building or maybe just a single one - you couldn’t sense it due to the amount of cursed energy being released out of the building.
“You liar!” Itadori and Kugisaki screamed in anger while complaining at the fact that they both were deceived on where they were heading off to before Kugisaki shouted something about ‘toying with us country folk’.
“There’s a big cemetery nearby, the double whammy of that and an abandoned building brought out a curse,” Gojo informed everyone like staring up at the building as well.
“So they really do pop up more often around graves?” Itadori questioned after his little tantrum, leading you to realise that he had no knowledge on how curses appeared or anything to do with the jujutsu world to start with.
“The issue isn’t the cemetery itself, it’s the fact that people associate cemeteries with fear,” you explained to the noobie while swirling the now empty carton in hand.
“Oh, it was the same for schools, too, wasn’t it?” Itadori then asked as he turned to look at you for any answers causing Kugisaki to pause her ranting to look at Itadori with a perplexed look on her face.
“Hold up. He didn’t even know that yet?” Kugisaki questioned, leading you to give off an awkward laugh while looking to the side away from the group which only led to more confusion to emit from her.
“To be honest….” Fushiguro started before explaining the situation that had brought Itadori to where he was now causing Kugisaki to give an extremely disgusted look on her face - and to be honest, you couldn’t blame her at all.
“He swallowed a special-grade cursed object!?! Gross! Unbelievable! That’s so unsanitary and disgusting! No way, no way, no way, no way!” Kugisaki yelled out before running away from the three of you as you looked at her with nonchalant faces.
“What?!” Itadori shouted in confusion.
“I agree with her,” Fushiguro mentioned in a blunt tone, leading you to completely ignore your classmates as you continuously looked up at the building in front of you.
“I want to know what all of you are capable of, just think of this as a field test,” Gojo informed everyone with a smile on his face before calling out Itadori and Kugisaki to tell them they were going to exorcise the curse inside the building themselves leaving you confused since you were also a new student here as well.
“Huh? But I thought only curses could exorcise curses, right? I can’t use any jujutsu yet,” Itadori asked before indicating his lack of ability to the teacher.
“You’re basically half a curse already, there cursed energy flowing throughout your body,” Gojo stated as he pointed at the vessel before continuing to explain “though controlling that energy isn’t something you can learn overnight, so use this,” before taking out what seemed to be a cursed weapon in front of you and the rest.
“It’s the cursed tool, Slaughter Demon. It’s a weapon imbued with cursed energy, it’ll work on curses, too,” Gojo explained while Itadori gazed at the weapon in amazement.
“Like Gojo’s sword? And why isn’t she taking part in this test?” Itadori then asked as he pointed at the bag behind your back leading to Kugisaki to look at it in shock since she thought it was just a normal carrier bag that you just had.
“Yeah, kind of like that and to be honest, this test isn’t good enough to test her abilities, she wouldn’t need to take the katana out and probably use it with the wooden hilt on,” Gojo explained as he turned to you with a cheeky smile of his face.
Suddenly, Kugisaki turned her back towards all of you before fastening a brown belt around her waist which had a small pouch to keep whatever she needed in there, leading Itadori to follow behind her.
“Oh, one more thing,” Gojo suddenly shouted, causing Itadori to turn as Gojo then stated, “don’t let Sukuna out, if you use him, you’ll get rid of all the curses nearby in a flash, but you’ll also drag everyone around into it.”
“Got it. I won’t let Sukuna out,” Itadori assumed his teacher before Kugisaki turned back around to complain to her classmate to hurry up while you quickly took a seat on the stone platform that was right behind you before setting your bag down onto the side making it lean against the same stone you took a seat on while Fushiguro and Goj followed behind.
“I think I’ll go, too,” Fushiguro mentioned, causing you to give him a side glance as you wondered if he was worried or just not hopeful that the two will actually exorcise the curse.
“Don’t push yourself, you’re still recovering,” Gojo reminded his student before saying “if I needed to put someone in for backup, it would be Y/N since she seems to be in a better condition than you.”
“But someone needs to keep an eye on Itadori, right?” Fushiguro questioned in a concerned tone.
“True,” Gojo answered in a dazed tone, indicating to you that he wasn’t worried one bit.
From your perspective, you understood why Fushiguro was worried about your new classmate since he didn’t have the ability to take on a curse from his lack of experience but from what you could recall from that night, it seemed like you didn’t have to worry at all.
“That Yuji..he’s missing a few up here,” Gojo randomly stated, as he pointed his head to indicate his brain. “He has no hesitation, when it comes to killing these things, take that the form of living creatures, albeit bizarre-looking ones, to try to kill him,” Gojo explained to his long-term student while you were just resting the back of your head on the wall before your teacher continued with “and it’s not like he’s been familiar with curses for a long time, like you. This is a boy who used to live a normal high school life, you’ve seen plenty of jujutsu sorcerers, even though with talent, give up in frustration because they couldn’t conquer their fear or disgust, haven’t you?” leading to Fushiguro to look down to his hands as he thought about the statement while you looked up to the sky to question your own thoughts.
‘Is that one of the reasons why the L/N clan decided to disappear? Nah, they were able to seal Sukuna, there is no way that could be the reason’
“So today I want to confirm how crazy she is,” Gojo mentioned, somewhat giving you a slight idea on what he was trying to inform you both.
“But Kugisaki has the experience, right? Little late for that now, isn’t it?” Fushguro asked as he was still unsure about what Gojo was trying to tell him.
“Curses are born from human minds, so their strength and numbers grow in proportion to the population, curses in Tokyo are on a different level than those in the countryside,” Gojo said in a low tone to which Fushiguro understood but still had some uncertainty lingering in his head.
“What he is trying to say that ‘level’ doesn’t mean the amount of cursed energy one curse may have but their cunningness, what he is testing is how one reacts to cruel choices that are forcibly handed to them like the weight on a human life in danger balancing upon your shoulder,” you casually explained, leading Fushiguro to look at you while Gojo had a bright smile on his face, glad that you understood what he was talking about.
However, before you continue with your explanation, there was a loud crash being heard from above with pieces of broken glass falling to the ground leading to the three of you down below to look up, only to find the curse causing the purple hue trying to escape.
“I’ll exorcise it,” Fushiguro quickly said, as he clasped his hands together ready to summon a shikigami. However, he felt a tug on his arm leading him to look down to find you tugging onto the sleeve of his uniform.
“Hold on, have some confidence in your peers,” you muttered, before letting go of the fabric as you processed to lean your head back onto the wall while closing your eyes. “I don’t know how long you have been alone but understand you have teammates now, so rely on them as well, okay?” you stated as you slowly opened your eyes to peer up at the curse, only to suddenly see large metal strikes come out of its body before disintegrating into nothing, while the purple aura that was surrounding the abandoned building disappeared with it.
“Nice, she’s crazy, all right,” Gojo mentioned with a gleeful smile on his face, happy with the results that had just come in from this field test.
ꕥ
“I live over there! Thanks again!” the kid mentioned as he pointed towards the direction of his house before running off.
From what you could recall, at the end of the field test, Itadori and Kugisaki came out of the building with a child before explaining that he was in the building during the test and he was caught in the middle of it all.
Observing the boy running to his house, you wanted to make sure he got home safely from a distance to which he did once you saw him enter through the gates to what seemed to be his house before being greeted by an obviously worried mother, who scolded him for wondering about before being pulled into a hug.
‘I wonder what’s it like to have a normal childhood?’ you wondered before small but vivid memories began to appear in the back of your mind.
“I’m jealous,” you whispered, before turning around to find both Fushiguro and Gojo already walking back to Itadori and Kugisaki, who both were sitting on the stone steps impatiently waiting for the three of you to finish the task that needed to be done.
‘In the end, I’m alone with the responsibilities of the L/N clan upon my shoulders but I have you, dear. Even with this world being full of curses and impurities, I feel like I have a normal ordinary life with you by my side. I wish I could have given that to you, I’m sorry….’
“It’s okay,” you whispered again, this time leading Gojo to turn back to you with a confused look on his face which caused Fushiguro to look back as well, finding it strange that you haven’t left your stop since the kid was already back at his home, safe and out of harm’s reach for now.
“Did you say something Y/N?” Gojo asked, only for you to shake your head to deny that you had before making your way back to the group.
“Good Joseph! We made sure the kid got home,” Gojo shouted while giving a small wave towards the two students, who suddenly jumped up on their feet which confused you slightly since they had such a determined look on their faces.
“Now shall we go grab some food?” Gojo kindly questioned leading the same two students to now express two huge grins while shouting out their preferred meal for tonight.
“Beef!”
“Sushi!”
“Leave it all to me!” Gojo excitedly stated with two thumbs up before turning to his two other students, who were waiting on the sidelines. “And you guys?” Gojo asked with the same huge grin that Itadori and Kugisaki were expressing.
“I don’t really mind,” you answered in a casual tone before turning to look at FUshiguro, who was suddenly randomly scrolling through his phone with a bored but somewhat irritated expression on his face, causing you to wonder what he was reading or finding that made him have a scowl on his face.
Taking you by the arm, Gojo started walking off with you, Itadori and Kugisaki leaving Fushiguro behind, who had just realised that you all were walking away once he heard his teacher say ‘okay, let’s go’.
“Oh, I forgot about my biggest haul of the day. Hey, you, go fetch my things,” Kugisaki said in a demanding tone, as she decided to be the leader of the group since she was walking in front of everyone.
“Huh? Why should I do it? I thought we were even,” Itadori complained, as he didn’t want to get the items that were left in the coin locker back at Harajuku.
“We won thanks to my cursed energy. Got a problem with that?” Kugisaki countered back, as she confidently continued walking in front of all of you like she would know where the restaurant Gojo was taking you all was.
“What about my raw strength?” Itadori argued, leading you to wonder what he did during the time he was the at the abandoned building with Kugisaki to mention about his immense but strange strength.
“Your monstrous power from eating weird shit?” Kugisaki shouted as she was implicating the cursed finger that Itadori swallowed as a reason for Itadori’s strength.
“It’s not just that! Right, Fushiguro, Gojo?” Itadori asked as he turned to you and Fushguro, only to find the male student with a frown on his face as he looked to the side.
“Huh? What’s the matter, Fushiguro?” Itadori questioned, as he wasn’t sure on why Fushiguro seemed to be moodier than he originally was.
“Nothing,” Fushiguro bluntly answered, not making his answer very convincing for you, Itadori, Kugisaki and Gojo leading your teacher to think it was the best time to tease his shikigami-user student.
“He’s pouting because he didn’t get to join in,” Gojo mentioned with a sly smile, which caused Kugisaki to lean back with her hand on her lips to cover her laugh.
“What a child,” Kugisaki teased, causing Fushiguro to groan in frustration before giving the female sorcerer with an irritated glare which led to Itadori laughing at the facial expression, leaving you to stay silent as you watched the scene in front of you.
‘But I’ll make sure you have the most normal life as you possibly can, so make sure you’re not alone in this world like I am Y/N, I want you to be happy even when we’re both stuck with this burden!’
“Yeah mother, I’m trying,” you whispered before continuing to walk with everyone to wherever you all were heading off to without realising the events that will occur in the future.

Captain Kurotsuchi Nemuri Stuff
I have many ideas for Nemu surviving the fight against Pernida instead of Mayuri, and becoming Captain of the Twelfth Division. That’s my ideal world. Putting a Keep Reading tab here cause this gets kind of long.
I think the TYBW arc has this general theme of ‘letting the younger folk take the reins’ and in that regard I think Nemu surviving instead of Mayuri would make sense. Mayuri would die helping take down Pernida and all of his fans would get their annoying ‘he redeemed himself in the end so he’s actually not that bad a person’ bragging rights, and Nemu would survive to take over the Twelfth Division. The way God intended.
She gets her zanpakutō!!!
I am following @zanguntsu’s sword idea pretty to-the-letter because I really like it. This next part is assuming that you’ve seen their post about it, so if you haven’t, go skim that- this next part will make more sense. If I had to think of a name, maybe Harihana (玻璃花) would work (although I do also like Hanahōsho (花宝珠), the original name). Hari (玻璃) meaning ‘glass/quartz/crystal’ because glass and quartz can both magnify things, and it matches the original crystal naming. Hana (花) meaning ‘flower’
If I had to pick a specific flower for Nemu’s sword to be based on, I’d probably go with a water lily/lotus flower (they are different flowers, but their symbolism is often kind of just lumped together). Not only because they are very pretty but because they represent a lot of things I associate with Nemu in this AU
The roots of water lilies grow in the mud of mucky, shallow water, and they rise to grow beautiful flowers above the water. It rises above the filth and becomes something beautiful in spite of it- that’s why it represents enlightenment and rebirth in Buddhism.
Adding onto that, I remembered this post by @littleeyesofpallas and how phonetically Nemu and Mayuri’s surname means something akin to ‘black soil’ or ‘black mud/sludge’ and I was like “Yeah, that’s on the nose enough to work” and ran with it.
Water lilies are also poisonous! I could make a point like ‘they’re very dangerous despite their beauty, connections to Mayuri, a poisonous relative, etc, etc’ but honestly I only added this because I realized that water lilies and Nemu share something physically in common: terrible things happen when you try to eat them.
Honestly I really like the idea of Nemu having an especially beautiful zanpakutō. Not only because crystalline flowers sound very pretty to look at (you could go ham with those glittery shine/lens flare effects), because it contrasts her ugly/creepy father and his zanpakutō, and because she deserves to have pretty things to represent her beautiful soul, but also because I think it just,,, fits her.
Up until now being pretty has been one of Nemu’s defining character traits- and one of the character traits that, unlike some of her initial, more emotive characterization, has stayed consistent- and not in an intentional way; Kubo uses her for gross fanservice because she happens to be pretty. She’s not pretty for a reason, she just. Is pretty. But also: Nemu is one of the strongest characters in Bleach. I’m just gonna say it. Hot take: Nemu could kick Zaraki’s ass. She destroyed Pernida who’d adapted to Zaraki’s level using 0.6% of her physical power- she’s insanely overpowered and that’s probably what contributed to Kubo’s decision to kill her off. So Nemu’s zanpakutō having a very pretty and delicate exterior while being able to kick ass/have a busted ability (because the ability to magnify things is very handy) is fitting, I think.
Also I love the growth theme in her zanpakutō via magnifying things (which, if I may say, sounds very in character for Nemu to have. Being able to magnify things is very nice but also sounds kind of nerdy, which I think fits Nemu being a little science nerd). Nemu’s ‘growth’ theme in the manga had potential but Kubo didn’t do anything with it until he needed her to die saving his favourite character. Which is bullshit. Nemu’s growth shouldn’t have been learning how to disobey her father to save his life, it should’ve been learning to disobey her father and become her own person- not some scientific accomplishment of her father’s. Her growth should’ve been for her, not to prove that Mayuri created something that could grow.
Obviously the story ended with the TYBW arc so we wouldn’t have gotten to see it unless she got to be in a light novel or something (which, yes, I absolutely would’ve paid money for. Missed a capitalism opportunity there, Kubo), but I think Nemu’s character development after Mayuri’s death would’ve been really interesting. A few things that could be developed/questions that could be explored:
How does one continue to live for themself after losing the only thing they developed their entire existence around?
How much life experience does Nemu even have? Did living with Mayuri her entire life, seemingly very isolated and sheltered, affect her ability to function on her own in any way? Does Nemu understand what a 401k is?
How does one go about building self-esteem after years of non-stop psychological and physical abuse while also grieving said abuser? (Because I do believe that Nemu would grieve Mayuri. Relationships are complicated, man).
Would Nemu even be open to the idea of discovering more about herself at first, or has Mayuri’s treatment of her stunted her introspection in some way?
When and how does Nemu come to the realization that the way Mayuri treated her for her entire life was wrong? Or has she always known and was just trapped, wanting to help herself but feeling unable to? (Honestly I could see a comparison between Momo and Aizen and Nemu and Mayuri here).
Who would Nemu reach out to for emotional support- or rather, who would try and connect to Nemu now that Mayuri is gone?
Way more questions raised and interesting characterization to explore than what Mayuri got after Nemu’s death (which, I’ll be honest, I did really like the scene where he hallucinated Szayelaporro as a manifestation of his grief. Kinda fucked severely, but still-).
Nemu really strikes me as someone who loves learning and experiencing new things, so I imagine her trying to learn about how to use her zanpakutō and use kaidō and get better at kidō while also not sacrificing her hakuda abilities because they’re such an integral part of her fighting style at this point. She wants to learn it all.
She could also just use both, like Suì-Fēng does.
SHE COULD LEARN SHUNKŌ
Nemu could go to Ukitake (who’s retired, because I cannot in good conscious write this man as dead even in an AU that doesn’t involve him at all), or Nanao and Momo (cause they’re girlfriends,,,) and learn kidō so she can ask Suì-Fēng to teach her Shunkō. We love to see girlbosses helping girlbosses.
Between Shunkō, her zanpakutō, Gikon Jūrinjū, her limit-breaker ability, her insane physical capabilities, and her unstoppable growth, Nemu has the potential to be like. Just the strongest person. And I love that for her so much, she deserves it all.
That’s kind of all I’ve got for now. Nemu brainrot possessed my mortal coil once again and I infodumped into a Google Doc until I got tired.
#everyone go look at zanguntsu's nemu stuff too. very important context. they're doing gods work#i love nemu so much she is my everything#she should've survived and i will die on this hill#bleach#kurotsuchi nemu

Manga Rant - QUATREfold
(c) Kishimoto Masashi (Naruto) (c) Hino Matsuri (Vampire Knight) (c) Tite Kubo (BLEACH) (c) Bisco Hatori (Ouran High School Host Club)
Kinda.
Today, will talk about 3 mangas and my recent…and surprisingly ANIME hobby…
1st manga. BLEACH 339
SIGHS nothing's really happening. Except Stark and Kyoraku is finally gonna fight. BUT… i have a feeling Ichigo's fight is gonna be center stage for now… >_>
regardless. Despite the fact I know one of them is gonna have to die… unless of course one of them is a traitor, which neither of them are…… I still hope I get to see more of the Stark vs. Kyoraku fight.
They are THE BEST. haha… i really love their lazy attitude so…. i really hope……yes.
Naruto 429
…is APOCALYPSTIC! Daaaang.
You know when I read fanfics about Konoha becoming destroyed, it's fantasy. I never thought it….yes. >_>
Mah, I suppose that's okay since none of my fave characters are in the village? ….on second thought, some of them are…
but i just don't care much anymore since Kishimoto seems to LOVE taking them away from me. >_>
anyhow. i hope something good happens soon. THIS IS GOING CRAAAAAAAAZY.
…but at least Sakura's still alive, neh?
Ouran 66
BIG SIGH
I swear. I don't know what to make of the chapter. haha….
but GOD… KYOYA, I LOVE YOU! YES!
haha. he's the BEST BEST FRIEND ever!!!!!

That anaversary aizen looks absolutely fabulous, he looks like a figure skater xd.
I heard along time ago the last arc of the anime was being animated finally bc they pulled a 90s sailor moon were the last season was not either animated or dubbed untill decades later.
I recall near the end of the current 366 episodes there was an episode were the creapy demon ppl woke up in hell and we're all bitter, and there was the other guy who was like, iM cOmEiNg FoR u IChIgO, but then is never mentioned again after and I'm like, why? Why is lt there just plopted randomly into a different arc that seams unrelated.
And locking aizen up underground seems ok, but It deff won't hold, and he will. Escape, and he will kill, you either need that one spell from star, dubbed, the darkest spell of moon the undaunted, a powerfull dark spell that killed immortal beings, that came from best character, eclipsa, the queen of darkness.
We need that.
Or stick him I'm crystal like eclipsa was in star. Is there no one who could trap him in ice or crystal for all eternity.
How about throw him into the centre of a volcano trapped and caged , forverr being killed by heat?
I assume there's space travel, send I'm into a black whole, were a black whole don't fuckin care if your immortal or fat, you will die
:3
Yes, I love anniversary Aizen. His original octopus-butterfly hollow design was ugly so I'm glad he's back to being the fashion icon he is.
Locking Aizen up underground once is one thing, doing it twice after saying he got more powerful by just sitting there, and he escaped to battle the Quincy Soul King God... is another. I think he should have escaped at the end of the Quincy arc. That is the only feasibility.
I heard the anime is coming back for the Quincy arc as well, but because of COVID its probably going to be delayed. (I'm not gonna watch it until the Rain section of the arc then I'm dipping out. I'm only here for Zangetsu)
and funny that you mention that hell scene in the manga :)
-> spoilers for the new BLEACH 73 page anniversary chapter / thoughts/critique on it
So hey you had a premonition! Syazel .... returned? And his hole is outside of his body??? for some reason???
(I didn't understand the explanation or why / how that happens and what that means for the hollow)
And my friend and I were laughing because out of ALL the things. Kubo could do in this anniversary. He gave Syazel his dick back after going to hell. That is iconic. (that's where his hole was located, and now that its not on his body ... well...) This is the funniest thing Kubo has EVER pulled. Kudos to you, sir.
The entire internet is freaking out over Ukitake being in hell. Honestly Kubo has done far worse, and we've established that Soul Society is a corrupt system that hasn't changed, so I'm not surprised he would pull something like this.
At the same time, Kubo 1. cheated his audience. 2. continues to prove me right that he cannot bring himself to kill his characters
1. Hollows who have commit murder in their human life are sent to hell. Syazel and Aaorniero are two of these hollows, and yet, when they are killed, there is NO gates of hell scene. We see them there later in the hell chapter (which was more of a promotion for the fourth movie and I didn't believe it would hold any merit)
But the same goes for Ukitake. We never see the gates of hell take him. What, was hell late? Did hell's gates get lost like an uber before picking him up? It's bull. Withholding such vital information from your audience, not showing the gates of hell when they should pick up this soul IMMEDIATELY is ... I mean its a lie. Kubo lied to his audience.
2. Now we are told powerful shinigami are sent to hell when they die. First of all that sounds like a security threat. Wouldn't shinigami want revenge for that? Or attempt to escape? Why would they still hold loyalty after being sent to a prison of eternal suffering?
Also "Yhwach and Aizen" were the only ones keeping Hell's gates closed is way too convenient and doesn't really make any sense. I feel like Aizen should have deliberately gone to hell to retrieve powerful shinigami / hollows for his army instead of keeping it /closed/.
This is definitely a Kubo-doesn't-know-what-he's-doing-and-is -making- stuff-up-as-he-goes, but it might have a pinch of merit because of previous plot lines.... but either way, there's some big plot holes here, but again, its Kubo, so I expected nothing less.
Again, he can't kill off his characters. He introduced zombification, he introduced immortality through the hougyoku, he has Orihime and Hachigen's reversal / rejection abilities. He brought back Luppi, friggen.... a character who's entire upper half of his body was incinerated. Like.... come on. No. He's dead, you can't bring him back like that. That's a cop out and just weird. You're taking away consequences and grief.
(Also Yamamoto and Unohana deserve to be in hell far over Ukitake, they've done some fcked up stuff in their pasts unlike him)
Also Kubo's favorite character is Mayuri, which.... you're allowed to have a favorite problematic character. But Keeping said character alive and bared from the consequences of abusing his daughter, murdering innocents, and experimenting on your own squad members? Nah. Nope. Kill him, Kubo. Kill this dude.
(his weird attachment to Mayuri is probably why he keeps bringing Syazel back, since Syazel is Mayuri 2.0, but Syazel is the bad guy who does face consequences for his actions while Mayuri is not)
~
Also, I'm certain Kazui and Orihime are going to be THRILLED that their precious husband/dad is going to hell when he dies :)
(I just... Rukia teased Ichigo about leaving Orihime at home. She teased him about having a house wife who he leaves all the chores to. Orihime had two panels. She checks on her son who promised he would be at home and sleep. Kazui fcking breaks his promise like it never mattered to him and JUMPS out the window after pretending to sleep in front of his mother. ... An 8 year old... alone... in the middle of the night.)
Orihime is abandoned. She is not invited to SS, she is not informed of what is going on, her son leaves her.... I...
Orihime is a side character. She doesn't matter anymore. She hasn't mattered for a long, long time.
A part of me is glad she had little screen time, since she tends to waste it, but another part of me is embroiled with rage.
I've even see people try to defend this. "Orihime and Ichigo can't be together ALL the time, that's an unhealthy relationship!" and I'm like guys... that's not the point. The point is Orihime is not part of Ichigo's other life. Any shinigami stuff from now on is none of her business. She's going to stay at home while Kazui and Ichigo go off and save the world. Ichigo is going to be fighting by Rukia and Renji while Orihime watches from the sidelines, or worse, doesn't even know what is going on with her husband and son. Orihime is going to be uninformed and abandoned, because she has not proven she is capable of fighting by their sides(go on, @ me. I will fight this. She's a failure.), and also because she prefers a human life over a dead one. Which is ironic, because she married a dead man. Ichigo is a shinigami, and he will be one forever. god forbid she ever meets his Zanpaktou. She would tremble in fear at the monsters her husband harbors in his soul, especially when she realizes they don't care about her and would rather see her dead. (Zangetsu would absolutely kill Orihime. Not sure about Kazui, but Orihime has not accepted Zangetsu, she does not like either of them, and the feeling is assuredly mutual.) frick now I want to make a comic about this
Also still frustrated over Zangetsu's shikai / bankai regression. Kubo once again lied to his audience. Ichigo has no bankai. How ridiculous is that? The main character of BLEACH doesn't have a bankai. Insulting.
(RIP to Chad. He doesn't exist anymore. He's just gone. No mention, no cameo. Gone.)
Kazui is a demon child. That character from the novels? Hikone? They're the same character. Literally same personality, same power level. Its worse because Kazui is a liar. He constantly goes behind his parents' backs. He can summon creepy fish and creepy eyeballs and open portals like is ANYONE aware of this? How has SS not kidnapped Ichigo's son and experimented on him / locked away his powers yet? All substitute shinigami require a reiatsu controlling / spy badge to keep them in line. Where is Kazui's? Or is he just a weird fullbringer?
I was worried Kubo was gonna try and pull a knock off Boruto but luckily he kept the focus on Ichigo and the others. But that being said, Ichika and Kazui are now just... sort of there? Kazui was kinda just.... having his own adventure that doesn't matter to the plot at hand, and Ichika had some nice characterization at first but she just hid behind her dad the whole time.
I have a feeling Kazui is gonna step in at the last minute or do some major behind the scenes thing that indirectly interferes with the main plot so no one will realize how powerful and dangerous he actually is. Its sad because Ichika is the superior character in personality and likability, but she clearly is not going to have a bigger part in this.
Ichigo having a normal life after everything still feels extremely boring and uncomfortable to me. Everyone's like 'I'm still bLEACH!" but.... BLEACH just... doesn't feel like BLEACH anymore. It hasn't for a while now.
~~~
There's two new shinigami characters. Didn't care for the girl, but the Sign Language kid who talks to animals is adorable ... however... he just reminds me of Chad, and I just... it hurts knowing Chad has essentially been deleted. Chad and Orihime are officially benched. They have chosen the human world, and Orihime has given Ichigo his spawn so she has no more use/purpose to him anymore... ////sigh
~~~
Also. This is claimed to be a new "arc". So is the BLEACH manga coming back? What is happening. I thought Kubo was tired and didn't want to do BLEACH anymore. I thought Shounen Jump cut him off. People made so many excuses for Kubo and why the past two arcs have been so badly written the past 6 years and now almost everything they've attempted to defend him with has been revoked.
BLEACH is going to continue to screw up its plot lines and characters, so Its probably best for it to stay dead but I've seen a lot of Kubo stans drooling over this content, they're desperate for BLEACH's return, but its already given out all its possible revelations. There's really nothing else to top here. It's just going to make things up as it goes along ,and I'm not really here for half-assed writing like that, especially since the damage of rushing the previous manga has already been done. Kubo and Shounen Jump are riding off a money nostalgia. None of this was planned.
Honestly though.... overall feeling of this chapter, not as bad as it could have been.
Syazel stole the spotlight, and he's my friend's favorite character, so that's all that really matters.
#bleach#bleach spoilers#spoilers#text post#anti bleach 686#anti ichihime#ask#tite kubo#technically anti renruki too but#ichihime destroys the plot more than renruki#renruki feels like an after thought#they're only together for kazui and ichika's existence#but if these two are lacking in use if BLEACH were to continue then why have them at all#even tho ive tagged this as anti ichihime#interestingly enough there is no ichihime interaction or really mention at all in this chapter

For the character bingo: Matsumoto and Kira!
IZURU KIRA
They are sooooooo cool looking and Why do they look like that:
I can say this about almost every character Kubo created, the man just knows how to make characters look cool and different (even if he sometimes has a bit of 'same face syndrome' going on with a few characters). Kira's got a great design that's both simplistic (in terms of colour choices) but also dynamic (have SEEN his hair?! That fringe is so pointy it could probably cut paper and so emo his fascination with the macabre and depressing doesn't need to be said, it's right there in the hairdo). Where the 'why do they look like that' comes is the eyebrows...They're a mystery to me and one of the more unique designs Kubo came with, so there's that!
Wasted potential: like with a few other characters in the series, I really feel like seeing his recovery journey more in the manga was a missed opportunity. Also, the fact he got shelved pretty early on in the TYBW arc was one of the few things I didn't like about the arc. However, it was somewhat made up for when he emerged later to fight the Lillie bird clones (or as I like to call them 'chicken Lillies'). Also, as part of his BROT3 with Renji and Momo, we could have gotten so much more!
If they were real I would be afraid of them: this gets explained more below in the 'free space' section.
They work better as part of a dynamic: Izuru is a great character by himself and I've come to appreciate him as an individual character more and more over the years, but I first liked him as part of the BROT3 with Renji and Momo.
Free space - has that one badass scene that makes me completely reevaluate them: In Kira's case, it was when he emerged to fight the chicken Lillies. Kubo just knows how to make things look cool and badass, and this panel, this GLORIOUS, BADASS PANEL, made me reevaluate how I felt about the character:
Look at this! I was caught between being afraid and totally in awe of Izuru here. He's like a zombie risen from the dead, a fearsome entity that won't die and has a weapon that suits him so well here. If that was Kubo's goal he succeeded with flying colours. Then later I thought about what his life will be like from now. Will he always have a hole and rods in his chest? Is he going to be properly healed after the war? What are Momo and Renji going to think? It made me appreciate their friendship even more, but also see the tradgey behind Izuru. The betrayal of his captain hit differently for him. Gin wasn't close to a lot of people and creeped out most, but he seemed to have a spot somewhere in him for Izuru (I don't want to say a 'soft spot' because I don't think it accurately describes how he saw and felt about his former lieutenant)
RANGIKU MATSUMOTO
They are sooooooo cool looking:
I know the manga and anime have different colour schemes for Matsumoto, but I'm not gonna lie...I like the anime's colour scheme better. Don't get me wrong, the canon colour scheme of blonde hair and blue eyes is great, but I first saw Rangiku through the anime and I guess it's the design I gravitate towards for that reason. Aside from that, Kubo once again knows how to make character look cool. Rangiku can be the comic relief one moment, and the next she can get serious; her design really lends well to both sides of her. For me, she's one of the most beautiful looking characters in BLEACH, and I love how Kubo revealed her character through how she wears her uniform (no I'm not just talking about her cleavage (which I think shows her confidence in her appearance), but in how she wears her lieutenant's badge , how she ties her obi, and of course the scarf and necklace which without she would not be the same character).
They're like a blorbo to me: she's in my top 10 characters for the series, so yeah!
They're deeper than they seem: I like that more and more fans are coming to see the layers in Rangiku character, because she definitely has a lot going on for her throughout the series. This depth is perfectly summarized by this post by @iz-star and I honestly couldn't have said it better myself.
They work better as part of a dynamic: Rangiku as an individual character is fantastic, but her dynamic with Toshiro is one of the most memorable parts of BLEACH for me. It's what steered me away from having not the best first impression of her to realising there was a lot more to her than met the eye. We're able to see the comical side of Rangiku just as much as the serious to side her through this dynamic, as well as the sisterly role she plays for some of the character.s Also, they just work SO WELL together and balance each other out perfectly, they're the best captain-lieutenant dynamic in the whole series for me. Also, I may not like it as much as I used to (mainly because I think if Gin had lived it wouldn't have worked) but Ginran is a fascinating and tragic dynamic; it's where more layers of Rangiku's are revealed and how she (as someone who seems to be there for everyone to support and help them through struggles) deals the betrayal of someone who, even though she was growing distant from, she still considered important in her life (to point of loving them).
Free space - a bad first impression: more on that here, but yeah, when I first saw Rangiku I wasn't a fan. As the Soul Society arc went on though, I gradually warmed to her, and in time became one of my favourite characters in the series.
Thanks for sending these in! :D
