A conversation; Casimir and Zero Topic: Zero's Heart Guest: an angry Eric
"Come on, lemme teach you a few things. Just how--bad is this heart condition? Explain it to me."
"Cas. You realize you can't even feed from me anyway, right? Like your power does take from the soul as much as it does emotion, right?" Yes. That was how an incubus worked. It's why Eric can't feed from him, even if he wanted to. Zero knows how this game works. He sighs and leans on the table, watching his friend across from him. Casimir was a good friend, they were just--a bit sometimes. Zero still adored them though. "It's not--it's not even technically a real heart condition. Not medically."
This was hard to explain. "When Eric created me he could only create half. Half the body, no soul. He didn't have enough power. It was literally like dropping half a meat suit onto the floor of the manor." Empty. Lifeless. Half finished. "So he--found the other parts. That includes the other half of a heart. I don't know exactly what he did, just that it was all stitched together. I can't even explain how I function without a soul." He thinks, but doesn't know, Artemis helped a little bit. Apparently, from what he did pick up from them, Eric had been greatly distraught over the entire thing. He's never seen Eric distraught. Pissed off, but not emotionally upset.
Half a heart. The other heart stitched on. They're following this, it's just taking a little bit for them to try and piece all the little informations together. "So, if I'm following this correctly, your heart beats irregularly because it's litterally two different hearts?" Casimir asked and Zero gave a single nod of his head. Half a heart created for him, half a heart stolen from someone else. Running off of whatever magic was probably keeping him alive. Casimir can't even wrap their head around how that logically works, but magic works in mysterious ways. "And there's no way magically to fix that? To make them whole?"
"I don't know. Having magic in me doesn't mean I understand magic. You're the Professor, Casimir, you tell me." Zero doesn't pretend to understand magic just because he has the blood of a Witch flowing inside of him. He thinks he actually understands it less because of that. The most he's learned to do with it is hide his--problems behind it. Illusion magic. The stitching on his body, the color of his eyes, he buries it all beneath magic if he's feeling well enough.
"I mean if you're asking me seriously, like you genuinely want to know, my answer would be to see a Witch Doctor. That, or some--more darker, more forbidden magic. Something that can physically, magically and medically remove the Witch's energy from the heart and make it yours. It'll remove the magic too, but that's the only way I can see about whatever that is." Satoru was big in dark magic, he knew a lot more of it than Satoru did. Would know about this aspect of it. If such a thing is even possible and plausable.
"No."
Both of them flinch at the sudden voice and turn their heads to the entrance of the kitchen where Eric stood. "Unless you're aiming to get Zero killed, hold your tongue, Incubus." Casimir shifts uncomfortably, just slightly. "I don't know the effect such a thing would have, and neither do you. I think it's time you leave. Zero can walk you out. Now."
