open to: males muse: Thalia Levesque - bruna marquezine fc, princess, 28 years old plot: you're supposed to marry my older sister but yet here you are saying that you love me and can't marry her. ( think anthony x kate from bridgerton for this )
this wasn't how things were supposed to be. her sister was getting married tomorrow, and yet the man she was engaged to was standing there in thalia's room, confessing to her. to say it caught her off guard was an understatement. "no, no no. this can't be happening." she replied as she looked at him. did she have feelings for him as well? absolutely. but she couldn't betray her sister. "you're getting married tomorrow morning to my sister. you can't just walk in here and say that you love me!" this was wrong. so wrong. part of her wanted to confess as well but how could she? she had to put her sister first.

who: @kiranxturner what: jess cosplays as Normal bc it's kiran where: ur choice bestie! (somewhere in public ofc but! ur choice!)
It had felt like years ( had it been years? probably, but May and Casey need to further consult about that when May gets her life together ) since Jess had seen Kiran. She hadn't seen him in the bunker ( but she had seen Dolly!? Did he know about that!? ), he didn't exactly visit, and she didn't exactly know how to seek him out. At the end of the day, the general assumption was that he did not want to be sought out by her anyhow, but... And yet, call it a miracle ( for Jess ) or a curse ( for Kiran ), after however long... what a trip, seeing Kiran in the wild? One of her moments of freedom -- what luck! Call it selfish, but Kiran was one of the few sources of familiarity in a rather isolating city. Even as a Council member ( Jess was able to keep up with the news just enough to know... ), he... well, he was familiar! At a certain point, what more could she ask for? At a certain point, was her educated guess that he wouldn't be particularly fond of seeing her enough? ...Almost, actually. Just enough that she did not approach with some kind of glee, just enough that she did not leap and bound, just enough that she knew to treat him like a timid animal -- easy to scare off ( not that she ever scared any animals off -- they could all sense her impeccable vibes ! ). Really, just enough that she would pretend she hadn't been considering what to say and what to do for the past... however long! Oh, play it cool, Jess. Oh, play it like you've never done anything ever in your entire life, Jess. "Kiran, is that you? Oh, it's been...!" She was Normal. "Wow -- how ya been?"
#interactions !#interactions || kiran !#interactions || kiran 1 !#i like how both of jess's threads with ur muses. are just her. trying to be Normal™.#(and failing!! bc she's turning the solar flare into a party around thalia and just. simply Is Jess around kiran!!)#ignore how long this got. the set-up.....

availability / @edwardsthalia setting / lakeside banquet hall, cantwell country club. timeline / sunday, september 29th, 2024 at 1:29 pm.
so far, so good. there had been a few hiccups here and there, but the first hour of the luncheon had been running smoothly. the food was to be served in half an hour, guests were still streaming steadily in, and saul had the distinct honor of making sure everyone was having a good time. he flitted through the burgeoning party, greeting familiar faces and complete strangers, when he was nearly struck dead by the next guest that he laid his eyes on. guests. thalia edwards and leon wozniak. the most familiar face of them all: his third ex-wife… on the arm of his… friend. boyfriend was too familiar of a term for his relationship with leon, but what else was he supposed to call the man that he had been sleeping with all summer? leon and thalia certainly looked familiar to each other, and if his heart didn’t ache just a little from seeing leon with another woman, or to see thalia with another man, it was the fact that they knew each other at all. and that saul didn’t know that they knew each other.
saul got distracted by other guests walking around the party, shaking hands or discussing the benefit’s goals for fundraising, which was a task aided by a nice cocktail. there were many on the menu at the banquet hall’s bar, but nothing would hit the spot better than a french 75. the first of many that morning, saul had been waiting in line to order when he saw thalia—alone—walking by. he exited the line without another thought and jogged a few steps to catch up with her. “hey, thalia!” saul called her name, raising a hand to place on her shoulder before he thought better of it. “how are you? are you enjoying the luncheon so far?” the pleasantries were hurried and flat, but thalia never appreciated delicacy anyway. “i saw you with leon.” best to get his curiosity out of the way. “i’m not being some shitty macho me-tarzan-you-jane kind of guy or anything, i just didn’t realize that you knew each other.”

availability / @edwardsthalia location / blue violet blooms; monday, june 3rd, at one pm.
tefi groaned, hanging her body over the flower shop counter. “i’m soooo annoyed! i saw him pick her up from the bowling alley. they were all cute and he looked at her like he used to look at me—wait, no. actually, he never looked at me like that. he just wasted my fucking time and now i’m legally tied to him until i, like, die or whatever.” she pouted up at thalia, arms dangling over the other side of the counter. there were no customers inside blue violet blooms at the moment, but even if there were, she still wouldn’t move. she was upset, damn it! “i want to send him a bouquet of flowers that he’ll perceive as a threat. like… roses dyed black, or something poisonous. do you know of any flowers like that, tee?”

availability / @thethaliaclark setting / claret park baseball field, april 9th, during the sixth inning.
though he knew no one would believe him, it wasn't intentional. he didn't set out to hire a collegiate baseball player to be his proxy in the charity game just to piss thalia off, or have someone compete against the collegiate player she sponsored to play in the game. he didn't set out for it to happen, but once he realized the coincidence, well... saul came from a very long, long line of competitive men. if it wasn't for the sponsorship, he probably would've only come out to support phoebe. now that he had some actual stake in the game, saul found himself paying close attention to a sport that he hadn't given a single fuck about in his entire life. oh, and it had absolutely nothing to do with his ex-wife, thalia clark, thank you!
it really, really was a coincidence. he had the sudden bright idea to sponsor a player after discussing the charity game with a few friends, subconsciously remembering thalia bringing up the prospect years ago when they were still married. when he realized thalia was doing the same thing this year, it was only then he remembered it had been her idea in the first place. oops. so, now he had double the reasons to want his team to win the game. of course he expected to see his ex at the baseball game, but he tried his hardest to avoid her. sitting with rachel helped, then running into elijah at the concessions stand, he hadn't much time to look around for thalia (just to ignore her). not until he left for the bathroom during the sixth inning. on his way back to the stands, he saw thalia up ahead and then nearly got knocked over a moment later.
for a second, he thought thalia toppled him. he knew better, though. she was one of the most graceless graceful people he had ever met. that was one of the first things he noticed about thalia that first night they met at the al smith dinner all those years ago: she moved like a swan. that, and her striking eyes. a prolific yogini, she had such elegance and poise about her, it was kind of shocking just how much of a klutz she could be. his hands shot out to grab her forearms. “whoa there, birdie.” just like a swan, her old nickname falling easily from his lips. it was easier to say than her real name. sometimes he still got her mail. he missed when her mail was addressed to: mrs. thalia clark-weissberg. sometimes it said just thalia clark. it hurt every time he read it. “are you trying to kill me before the game is even over because your team is losing?” was her team losing? was his? he truly didn't know.

WHERE: The Glass Cow Bazaar WHO: Thalia Belmont (@chaosandcrimson)
Wes grinned when he spotted Thalia at one of the small tables near the food stalls. Grabbing the chair across from her and turning it backwards before sitting down. Reaching into his messenger bag he pulled out two cassette tapes and set them in front of her. "Alright so I got some weird German folk music about the Pied Piper or some guy doing Disney character impressions while singing rock songs." Pulling out a walkman and a set of earbuds he held one out towards her, "Which one you up for?"

cont. from @playedbetter
As the sword plunges, Thalia watches as the creature quite literally disappears, crumbles into dust. The hunter looked from the sword and teen, and then back to the wreckage. Had he seen through the mist, she wondered, though it's quickly answered by her question.
He looked like some sort of Superhero. Those didn't exist, as much as she's aware. But either way, he was of this world - from the way he could see past the illusion. Standing up straight, silver arrows being propped back up-- her short midnight colored pixie a stark contrast to the silver circlet around her forehead, the winter white parka flowing in the wind. Not even the stars were out in this smog ridden city.
"My name is Thalia. First lieutenant for the Hunters of Artemis." She was already retrieving her weapons, restocking.
"That thing you just killed is a Gorgon. My sisters and I were tracking it down when I was suddenly absorbed by a dark light. I arrived here. And it followed me." She cocked her head, voice commanding,
"Who, exactly, are you? Where are we?"

x. status -> closed for @edwardsthalia x. location -> blue violet blooms
Rory’s been known to fake a smile or two in his day. He doesn’t so much mind the monotony of it all working at Blue Violet Blooms — it’s extra income he and Annie can really use, and it mostly involves him chatting up people with a specific vision already in mind and ringing them up. Most of the hard work falls into Imogen’s hands, then, while he enjoys the scents that surround him. It reminds him of what used to be his grandmother’s gardens, back home. He’d always loved sneaking in there to poke at the flowers, maybe name them, if he had the time.
He says goodbye to a man looking for the “biggest, most grandiose” bouquet for his wife, to be delivered promptly in three days. He watches as the man leaves, looking a nervous wreck, then snorts a bit to himself. He’s clearly pissed her off enough that he’s rethinking his entire strategy. Flowers only go so far. Rory spares a sympathetic thought for the man’s wife.
After filing the order properly, he’s about to wipe the counter down once more when he hears the bell above the door ring. He looks up, ready to spiel out another welcome, but he holds back on the faux pleasantries at the sight of Thalia. Instead, he offers her a crooked smile in welcome. “Hi, boss,” he quips. “Come to make sure no one’s set fire to the place yet?”

i've criticized the hazel mist plotline before but i do think it could have had potential re: connecting to hazel's flashbacks and her being undead and giving her a way to see things that others can't but the way it basically manifests as a visual component of piper's charmpseak...zzzzzz...
also this is a related complaint but i think that hazel's, and rachel's, and even octavian's plotlines fall so flat because rick hints at characters having strange creepy powers but doesn't want to or doesn't have the range to go anywhere interesting with it. nico is like the sole exception but think that's more because rick can tie him having "creepy" powers in with his being alienated from other demigods, but can't pull that off with hazel or rachel by connecting their creepy powers to anything deeper. (i don't think they needed to have the same plots as nico, i just think there needs to be SOMETHING deeper to having weird/creepy powers)
#there's a connecting thread between how hazel/thalia/rachel are all kind of written off (its not celibacy lol but its related)#but i can't think of how to phrase it its just where rick runs out of room to write characters

[SEBASTIAN]: I’m really sorry this trip didn’t turn out the way I’d planned it
[THALIA]: Bash, I’ve told you it’s fine, really. I’ve been feeling kind of shit anyway, so I don’t think I would have been much fun regardless
[SEBASTIAN]: You’re always fun. Next time we will go to the beach and turn our phones off to escape all of the bullshit, I promise
[THALIA]: I would like that
[SEBASTIAN]: I’m sorry you have to deal with all of this [THALIA]: Stop apologizing and go home to talk to your sisters. Just text me when things settle down to let me know you’re alright
[SEBASTIAN]: I love you, Thals
[SEBASTIAN]: Now let’s go deal with this mess

✧・゚— CLOSED STARTER @talesxofxthalia
— THE STANDARD NYE PARTY ; LATE EVENING
The blonde at the bar caught Edgar’s attention. She was dressed impeccably and looked incredible in such an eye-catching dress, but there was something about her that he recognised: loneliness. Nobody should be alone at a party like this one- Edgar included- so he thought that being lonely together would be a better situation and after a little more Dutch courage in the form of a glass of whisky he approached her.
“You look as lonely as I feel,” he said with a dry laugh. “Are you still waiting on a drink or may I buy one for you?”

@prerodinu / artem & thalia [dystopia au]
❝ here . . . ❞ ⸻ she holds out half of her portion to the man next to her . sharing food is not something one sees a lot of . . . not when it's so scarce ( though , neverland has proven to be a place where food and resources weren't lacking so sharing wasn't necessary . . . ) , she does it in a symbolic gesture . to share her portion of food is a sign that she trusts and cares for the other , in her own little odd way . thalia's never been great with words , yet artem's understood her JUST FINE without it ― she supposes it has something to do with his mutation ― and she's grateful for it . ❝ take it . . . my arm is getting tired , ❞ she says , urging artem to accept the share , ❝ the animals say that this is the sweetest during this season , ❞ thalia hums , taking a bite of her portion . ❝ they showed me a small patch of it yesterday . . . i'm sure someone in your pack can figure out how to grow it within neverland , ❞ she says . she speaks as if she's not a part of the group . . . while she slept within the protective walls , thalia often wandered the outside world more than she stayed within it . she'd have abandoned the group she came with and continued on her way alone had artem not spoken sternly to her about being a LEADER .

appropriately pragmatic.
that was certainly not an inaccurate interpretation of saul’s character. he wasn’t sure if she meant that as an insult or a compliment. maybe both? it was a natural trait of the weissberg men and saul had followed in suit of his forefathers. he had toyed with the idea of running for town council, but ultimately decided he was far too busy with his fledgling firm to add onto his workload with such an appointment. that, and he was afraid he wouldn’t get enough votes. thalia had previously called him mr. blue harbor, and while he did have a lot of friends, that didn’t mean everyone in town actually did like him. he doubted he could get thalia and her sister to vote for him. it was best to let that idea die before it could plant itself in his brain, anyway.
he was still staring down at the namecard. “i’m not mad about it.” saul reassured. there was a brief melancholic smile on his face, reading over the name again and again. it had been a while since he had seen someone he loved with his last name tacked onto theirs. he had never been the type of husband to demand that his wife take on his surname, but he did appreciate it whenever they did. each of them, in the end, dropped it with the divorce, though. it was saul that was left with it, another reminder of how he had failed everyone. “i just figured your sister would’ve gone through every account and registry to remove any trace of weissberg.” he was joking… kind of.
he knew that societal functions had never been thalia’s favorite. it was saul that was the social butterfly, the one that enjoyed schmoozing with new york’s high society—which he had traded in for the upper crust of chicago—and the one to insist on attending pretty much any event that invited him. during the marriage, particularly toward the end, these functions were simply tolerated by his wife. that was why he was so surprised to even see her now. “it’s like riding a bike.” by that, he meant that the majority of these galas and dinners were boring and mechanical, and yet he enjoyed them immensely. despite the fact that he always went out for dinner back home, these galas felt like the only time saul was out and about in the world. “you just have to drink until you find these people interesting.”

@thaliaxmoore
Thalia was a little sad to see the cells being restored. She had enjoyed the company of Grace and the others. The large house reminded her of home, even if the host had been much nicer. With her own room and helping with the chores, she had began to like this new ‘normal’. That things would eventually go back to how they used to be was no surprise but disappointing, nonetheless.
“I can’t believe I wasted an hour out there”, the red-haired woman frowned deeply upon returning to her cell. Quite a few of her belongings had been destroyed. The cells were more modern and spacious now, though it would take some time to get used to the new look. “I looked like a fool waiting for this Master”, Thalia elaborated at the questioning glance from the other person. “I don’t even know who it was, but my presence was apparently no longer required. I shouldn’t be mad but… Why not cancel?”
Window shopping was always a fun pastime for Paris, and it was even more interesting now that they were redone - half the fun was just seeing the renovations. It actually made him want to spend more time down there, the slaves on display much more prominently than before.
One was complaining about the new system for some reason - the reasons didn't matter so much to him, but the fact that she was doing it at all piqued his interest. He liked the new administration himself, so someone talking of any ill will? That wouldn't be necessary. "You girl, come with me," he called, snapping his fingers for her to follow. "Your schedule has clearly opened, as you so loudly boasted."

@thaliaxmoore sent...
✨ - for your muse to catch mine shirtless
“Oh, oopsie!” Leslie quickly turned away, coming out of the beach shower, rather red face having spotted a slave (he’d seen that much) topless. Red hair, slight. He grabbed at the dogs, but as usual Artemis was too quick and too friendly, jumping into the showers with Thalia. Artie especially liked rolling in the sand and always needed a good rinsing off before their walk home. Virgil was rather thick coated and attracted sand, but he’d been told shaving the old man down wasn’t a great idea.
“Sorry!” Leslie called, “Artemis is very friendly. And loves water. Give her a pet and tell her to go. Once there’s someone new around she stops listening to me.”
