ZOYA GHAZI INTRO

( simone ashley, cis female, she/her, 27) ** ♔ announcing zoya ghazi,  the princess of the mughal empire ! in a recent portrait they seem to resemble simone ashley. it is a miracle that she survived the last five years and for that reason, they are for the kingdoms working together. reflecting on them now, they remind me of bonfires crackling in autumn, chasing fireflies after dark, & running barefoot through freshly cut grass. BIO HCs 

- zoya is the second born daughter in the ghazi family, and one of only three girls in six siblings. she is five years younger than her eldest sibling, and six years older than her youngest sibling. 

- falling virtually in the middle of her siblings, zoya has always been close with all of them, in different ways. she aligned herself with her older sister and brother when it came to matters of discipline, education, and politics, while aligning herself with her younger siblings in the acceptance of her responsibility, and her feelings on life as a royal.

- since childhood zoya has been a pillar of strength, always having a listening ear and honest advice for her siblings, family, and anyone else who sought her council. she always looked up to her older sister, revati, wishing to be more like her in every aspect of the word. 

- upon her sister’s passing, zoya began to feel as though she was expected to fill the void that had been left. she pushed herself to take on more responsibility, to do more to look after her siblings, and to step further into the responsibilities she’d once been so keen to avoid. 

- while zoya is still a child at heart, she has forced herself to conceal that part of herself, doing her best to be what everyone in her family needs since revati’s passing. zoya often feels conflicted and torn between wanting to enjoy the remainder of her childhood, and being the person she believes her family needs.
