okay so i think after obtaining harmony caelus is like a hot mess rn

his reactions to stuff seem slow to process or react to things have to be explained to him either multiple times or in simple ways in order to understand

and his reaction time to stuff is belated

even in this new update caelus, even when on high alert and in danger, has no real reaction time. dan heng has to come tackle him out of harms way. dan heng sees something above caelus, runs over to him, and TACKLES HIM before caelus even LOOKS UP. then later when they're chasing a prisoner about to escape, caelus is running as fast and hard as he can, yet dan heng WHO WAS BEHIND HIM, gets IN FRONT OF HIM and even gets momentum to tOSS HIS SPEAR AT THE THING THEYRE CHASING

granted dan heng is possibly just faster than caelus (his 4* and 5* are naturally fast, with the 4* getting a spd buff in combat, and caelus' preservation and destruction path being average or slow- with harmony being speedish- but i digress)

" the sudden cry is only followed by an anti-climactic grunt as the vehicle turned a corner, and with it .. came the scientist's drunken weight that was sitting next to her in said vehicle. even with careful driving, it seemed that there existed a danger within the expensive car. ceres felt herself puff up just for a minute.

after a brief struggle on her own part, she had managed to push him back upright into the seat next to her, and felt a little triumphant in getting over the small obstacle without any injury on her own part, but a touch of exhaustion in her breathing. it was only fortunate that unlike him, she always opted to not drink by choice. she had never held an interest in it, and tonight was no different. even so, she felt an obligation to take care of him. as they came to yet another corner, she quickly braced herself, one hand resting on his shoulder to keep him upright, and the other against the car door so he wouldn't fall over again.

she can't help but feel a little bad for dahut, as she knew he would be the one to have to fetch scien once they arrived at the facility. the familiar lights and surroundings of the building were quickly coming into view. she had only memorized the path many times from traveling along these same streets on a near daily basis. she huffed as the car started to come to a stop in front, there not being many souls around the institute. " come on. " she tried to force a smile, helping him out of the car and only momentarily ducking her head back in to let the driver know she would be back shortly.

somehow, ceres wasn't sure she'd have the energy to walk all the way back to the orphanage. even more so this late at night.

the blonde chose to not pay much attention to whatever he was saying. it didn't seem like anything important. she was more concerned with trying to keep him upright ; keeping his arm around her shoulders as she led him up to the grandiose building where a familiar, youthful reliver stood. already, dahut had began to grumble and begin his scolding toward scien's behavior. it was a mixture of frantic apologies toward ceres, blended with comments of how he shouldn't be treating his employees like this. it was all familiar to ceres, but she was just glad to have scien passed off to dahut for now. she was becoming tired from the short walk and keeping him balanced.

" .. i'll be back tomorrow. " she confirms as usual. the last thing she wanted was for scien to come and show up at the orphanage to personally fetch her. he was a rather persistent man, and too smart for his own good. too good at figuring out how to get his own way, as well. there really was no winning with him. she stood up straight and smiled at dahut, and then to scien. then, she unceremoniously turns to walk back to the vehicle, just a little exhausted but plenty sore.

how funny it was that someone who was seen as a god on this island had to be helped and assisted by death herself like this.
