TIKTOK INSPIRED CHALLENGE MEME. answer this from the POV of one or more of your muses.
MUSE: Park Seolju.
how do you take your coffee? “Black, with a lot of sugar.” She eyes her examiner with an almost defeated expression, which translated to ‘I know, how typical of a doctor’. “It has to be strong, you know? And it absolutely cannot come from a vending machine, those taste like someone dissolved coffee powder in water mixed with detergent.”
do you prefer summer rain or when the air turns frosty? “Frosty air. I like warm weather, but I hate humidity so summer’s never a fun time for me. The rain doesn’t help much as it only relieves the air pressure for a bit.” She paused. “If I really had to choose a season, it would be that time from the beginning of October to the middle of November. Lovely.”
if you had to take your pick, is it vanilla or chocolate? “Vanilla. Chocolate can be too sweet, and vanilla has such a mild, but pleasant aftertaste.”
how to cheer you up when life gets rocky? “Cook something that I like and bring it over. If I’m stressed, I tend to forget to eat. Also, I prefer when people just listen and stay by your side rather than when they try to immediately solve your problems. If I needed that, I’d hang out with robots,” she nodded, firmly, though in that moment she did feel a wee hypocritical, being one to always jump on potential solutions to her friend’s problems.
what’s your favourite movie? “I- I don’t really have much time to watch movies lately, so uh...Let’s see. Maybe Confessions. It’s a Japanese thriller about a mother who tries to avenge her young daughter’s death.”
what do you like about your life, how can I make it better? “Can you take my work load off my back so I can focus on studying?” She puckered her mouth and squinted for a moment, before letting her face relax into a normal, almost peaceful expression. “I like when I’m at right now. I like the fact I’m doing what I love. I suppose that’s my answer. And if you wanted to make it better, maybe come clean my flat three times a week,” she laughed. “I don’t have enough time for that.”
what do you value? She let out a little, satisfied click-sound. “Easy peasy lemon squeezie. My friends. And that stray dog in my street, I wish I could keep it at my place.”
who do you care about? “Uh, in what way? I care about that dog. And my friends. And my job, and my patients.” She paused, puckered her mouth again and then continued, “Well, I care about the dolphins, too, and world peace. I’m kidding. Kind of.”
five star restaurant or camp out? “At any other time, I’d say five star restaurant, but I’m going to to with a camp out right now as I’m in dire need of a getaway.”
would you rather learn to surf or ski? “I can ski, so in that case, I guess I’d like to learn to surf one day.”
lemonade or iced tea? “Lemonade, definitely.”
would you rather have a normal life, or be a celebrity? “You’re already a kind of celebrity if you’re any good at being a trauma surgeon,” she grinned, a bit too self-satisfied. “But, jokes aside, a normal life, for sure. Being a celebrity has more downs than it has ups in my eyes.”
day at the pool or day at the beach? “Beach. I really need a getaway, did I say that already?”
what’s your favourite childhood memory? Here she did not respond as quickly as she had for most of the little questionnaire. Her expression grew more sour than normal and she held her breath, chewing on her lower lip for a moment. What was it? “Uh,” she tried, letting the air leave her lungs entirely before establishing a normal breathing rhythm again. “I’m not sure. Do I really have to pick one?” She stalled, thinking long and hard. “Oh, uh, maybe that time when Hyo-joo had a flu on our birthday so mom stayed at home with her and dad took me to an amusement park, it was just the two of us. I was about- Yeah, I think I-we just turned nine.”

⏳ for the hardworking doctor Seol
She was a vegetarian for about a year in high school. It all started as a trend when one of her classmates came back from a home-stay in New Zealand. The home-stay family was vegetarian so the classmate ended up trying it out as well, came back to Gwangju and inadvertently, as she was a popular girl, started a trend. Most of the trend’s...participants, however, including said Miss Popular gave it up after a few months, but Seol-ju persevered, out of either spite or stubbornness or likely both, for a year, all until her friends and she ended up at a fast food restaurant and she gave her diet up all for a piece of deep fried chicken.

💓 for a cheek kiss ( + for saviour Seolju! )
@thecosmicsen
"You...Do you know..." A hiccup built up from Seolju's stomach, causing her to pause in the middle of her statement. Her brows knitted together, a perplexed frown appearing on her features as she tried to get back to what she was saying, however the thought was gone. She looked at Jaewoo and tried to focus, squinting for a moment there before her face became blissful again in recollection. "Right. Do you know how cute you are?"
Having brought a glass of beer up to his mouth, Jaewoo felt lucky he had not started drinking for he would have surely choked the moment those words landed. "What?" Amused, he slowly puts the glass back down and looks over at Seolju with a healthy dose of suspicion rising in his eyes. "I mean, I know that I am, but- what?"
"Mmmm," Seolju's hand swayed in a vague gesture before falling back down. How many drinks had she had? Looking down at the table, there was just one unfinished glass of brown ale in front of her, but she was certain that there had been at least two or three before that, and that, perhaps, she had opened up her evening of drinking with a highball. When was that? Two hours ago, two and a half? More, or less? Time was of no significance for Park Seolju as she had fully intended on drinking herself silly and forgetting not just her work and herself, but the entire world. "I don't think you know. I mean, do you even have a mirror? Listen," she waves her hand for him to get closer, and when he does, granted hesitantly, Seolju lowers her voice a little bit as if there was any chance anyone could hear them over the music and the commotion at the bar. " I'm a woman and I- I feel jea~lous, look at those pretty doe-oe eyes of yours, where did you get them? And your skin care, let's not-" she hiccuped again. "Let's not even go into that."
Jaewoo raised an eyebrow, thinning his lips into a line in an attempt to suppress his laughter, though his eyes betray him with the way they light up with delight. "Noona, are you hitting on me right now?"
"What? Whaaaa~t?" Seolju nearly exclaimed, scandalized. Clumsily, she pulled away from him and elbowed the table with one arm, pressing her chin against the open palm, while the other hand wrapped around her glass of beer. "I'm just telling the truth. Beautiful people can have the world if they want to. You know what?" she let go of the glass and looked back at Jaewoo, managing to pull of an earnest expression. "You should take the world. You should, and when you do, tell them to stop putting-" what was the word? Right! "sugar in my beer."
"Sugar?" he laughed. "There's no sugar there. Noona, maybe you should take a little break. You've had too many drinks, haven't you?"
"Not at all! I have to use the restroom..." she declared and then slid off her seat, nearly losing her balance. Fortunately, Jaewoo was there to grab her arm and stop her from toppling over, for which Seolju was immensely grateful. "You're even a gentleman. Let's find you a girlfriend, anyone would be lucky," she said before leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss on his cheek. "I'll be right back, Private Ahn. Get me another highball, will you?"

@2oners inquired: seolju, what do they normally dream about? nightmares or nonsense? did they have any fears growing up that they’ve since conquered? are they the jealous type? what are they most likely to be jealous of?
I’ve already answered the first one HERE!
As for the second one...Park Seol-ju was a fearless child. She was quick on her feet and nimble, she loved sports and adored jumping and running around. Busted open her knee? Blood is no issue, she’d just keep going. There was probably nothing, in that sense, that scared her...Except one thing. Or rather, one kind of creature.
Up until she was 13 or 14, she was scared of dogs. When she was a little girl, she was bitten by one and ever since nobody could convince her to give them another chance, until her grandparents got a lovely Toy poodle with whom she became best friends until she moved to Seoul for University. These days, though she cannot have a pet of her own due to her hectic schedule, you can find her feeding a stray dog in her street and talking to him as if to a best friend, so I’d say fear successfully conquered! She’s still uncomfortable around super big breeds, though.
Then there’s jealousy...That’s a good one. I wouldn’t call her either envious or jealous in any way when it comes to her day-to-day life and friendships. She is competitive, unfairly so, but instead of wanting what other people have she’ll rather fight for her own goals and ambitions and try to be better. However, things change when it comes to romantic relationships. Having been betrayed by both her high school sweetheart and her ex-husband,if she were dating right now, seeing another woman a bit too close to her man would certainly make Seol-ju jealous and somewhat possessive.
And not in an obnoxious way in which she rubs it up her boyfriend’s nose such as “I saw you looking at her in such and such way!” or “Didn’t you see her flirting with you?!” - nah. She’d keep it to herself and do her best to just show the other woman that her man is hers and not for the taking.

@akm0ng inquired: number six for the humans, what do they normally dream about? nightmares or nonsense?
HAEWON
Oh boy. Haewon’s dreams are not always dreams, and when they’re not - they’re typically nightmares. She has been plagued by strange visions, both in her waking and sleeping state, ever since her mother passed away. The dreams themselves are, thus, either related to her premonitions, in which case they are never pleasant and without exception mentally and physically draining once she is up (to the point of her not being able to go back to sleep), or there are no dreams at all. Rarely, she ends up having weird flashes of her childhood, of her dad, of some pleasant moments but unfortunately for Haewon, these are so rare that if you asked her when was the last time she had one, she would not be able to tell you.
Because of her “situation”, she has, unsurprisingly, developed a sleep disorder in which she is often afraid of going to sleep and ends up staying up for as long as two days (her personal record), though sleep naturally forces itself on her, just snatches her away despite her best efforts to keep up. No amounts of caffeine can keep her awake if the universe has decided to torment her once again.
SEOL-JU
After the murder of her sister, for many years, Seol-ju suffered from vivid nightmares about the act. Guilt-ridden, in her earliest years at university, she suffered from insomnia similarly to Haewon due to being afraid to go asleep, but over time, she learned to let go of her terrors enough to start maintaining a healthier schedule. In the most recent years, she either dreams about her work (as intense as it is, it is no shock that it creeps itself into her sleeping hours), her college days or something entirely nonsensical that she would not be able to put into a coherent story once awake. She still has nightmares about her sister to this day, but definitely not as frequent as they used to be ten, eight or six years ago.
JAEHYUN
Ahh, Jaehyun - the angsty baby boy. Kidding.
For someone with such a high-risk job, he really sleeps well. He’s a deep sleeper who rarely remembers his dreams but there are times when he can recall seeing flashes and scenes from his childhood, usually about his brother. Unfortunately, having forgotten both his younger brother’s face and name, the boy he sees in his dreams is either faceless or with his back turned towards Jaehyun and no matter how hard he tries, he can never touch or hug or play with his brother in these dreams. They just...awkwardly exist in the short flashes and blurry images filled with melancholy.
Other than that, I’d say what he doesn’t remember are probably dreams about his job or his partner or some intense moments that had happened recently.

To Seolju, what was your happiest memory? What’s your philosophy in life? Is what you’re doing now what you always wanted to do growing up? What is a relationship deal breaker for you? If you are in a bad mood, do you prefer to be left alone or have someone to cheer you up? What’s an ideal weekend for you?
To Seolju, what was your happiest memory?
"Hmm," Seolju let out a small breath as lips pursed in contemplation. Strangely enough, she had to think long and hard before being able to come up with a particular moment in past that would not cause her to slip into an episode of deep melancholy afterwards. Instead, she was certain, as she smiled, that this would always provide nothing but comfort. "When I was a little girl, I was really into space. I used to watch documentaries whenever I didn't have homework, whenever they were on TV at least. Well, for my eighth birthday, my parents got me this telescope that they helped me set up in my bedroom and I used to stay up late for many nights just watching the sky. Whenever I was sad or frustrated or restless, I'd turn to the telescope and just...gaze at the sky."
What’s your philosophy in life?
"My philosophy on life?" she repeated, her expression growing more serious as she tried to wrap her mind around the magnitude of the question.
"Well...I'm not sure if it's an actual philosophy, or not, but...You need to be able to trust yourself. At the end of a day, when you look at yourself in the mirror, you should be able to see a person you can trust in there. You don't have to love or even like them, but trust is pivotal. After all, we are all we've got. Sure, you may have a husband, a wife, children, parents, friends, however I don't think you should be placing the burden of your life onto them. I think it's selfish to expect others to guide you through your own life. You should be able to navigate those waters by yourself, be self-sufficient, self-reliant...Only so can you actually be reliable, for others. And I don't mean that in this process you should isolate yourself. I'm not saying that you should be so independent as to never need another person's helping hand, it's just that...If we rely too much or only on others, it's easy to forget who we are, or who we were or who we could be. My point is...My philosophy is...Make sure you never lose yourself," she hummed, offering a bit of a sheepish smile after that. "If that make sense."
Is what you’re doing now what you always wanted to do growing up?
"Oh, definitely!" she shifted a bit on her seat, straightening her back. "It may be a cliche, but I've always wanted to be a doctor, of some kind. Back in high school, I wanted to be an obstetrician, when I finally enrolled University, I seriously considered specializing in neurology, but by the time I knew it, I fell in love with emergency medicine and well, here I am today," a beaming, proud smile graced her lips as she nodded, more to herself than anyone else.
What is a relationship deal breaker for you?
Seolju did not have to think long and hard for that one. Her expression grew instantly bitter, as if she had just accidentally bitten into a lemon, and she heaved a tired sigh before responding. "Cheating. It's something I'd never forgive." As evidenced by her divorce, really. "Less serious than that, say, if I just moved in with a boyfriend, seeing that he has bad habits, such as being untidy, would really cool me off. Smokers as well, I can't stand the idea of being around someone so carelessly endangering not just their own but other people's health too. Mmm...Oh, and mama's boys. There's nothing wrong with being close to either of your parents, it's admirable, but men who can't even wipe their own asses without mom's help creep me out. If that makes sense."
If you are in a bad mood, do you prefer to be left alone or have someone to cheer you up?
"I don't like burdening others with my bad moods, so I think I prefer being alone. I tend to isolate myself when I'm upset or angry and deal with it by myself." It was a bad habit, one that Seolju herself was as of yet unready to admit it was unhealthy for her. She craved company, she knew that she did, whenever she was lonely and/or upset, however she rarely reached out to a single soul on her own free will.
What’s an ideal weekend for you?
"Star gazing!" Her response was quick and determined. "Going out somewhere, where there aren't city lights, and star gazing, wrapped in warm blankets, eating marshmallows. Honestly, I'd kill to get two days off and do exactly that," she sighed. "But, if that's impossible, then, uhh...Stay home and bake and binge documentaries? I haven't done that in months, so right now, it sounds pretty ideal."
