camilla's was unaware of his supernatural world was the glue that held their relationship together , yet it was the same thing that was keeping them apart . she was blissfully unaware of his parents' dark past : his father , a who was a gemini covenant leader , who was banished to a prison world for murdering his own family and later returned to annihilate their coven ; his mother could best be described as either narcissistic o r a con artist . he did not hail from a reputable family , and he and his brothers were living proof of that . yet , against all odds , his relationship with camilla thrived due to their connection . she was his anchor to the human world , filling a void he desperately needed . the prospect of her discovering the truth , however , stirred a fear of rejection and in return he tried to control what she did and did not know about him ; yet at the same time holding her lack of knowledge against her . " okay… let's talk . how are your parents ? " he asked , attempting to steer the conversation away from dangerous waters.
cole mused as camilla spun tales of vampires and sirens . " you're definitely a siren , " he teased , a playful glint in his eyes . his gaze , a soft grayish-blue , found her warm cinnamon hues , while he remained reclined , his position steadfast . " alright , nancy drew , " he jested once more , the banter between them light and easy . " now , you can either lie beside me , or we can continue to have this unenlightened conversation , " he proposed , as he tried to navigate their conversation .
Her brown eyes rolled slightly at Cole's comments, never taking their conversations seriously. However, Cami knew she wasn't imagining things. Cole was keeping something from her she just didn't know what it was. The secret made her feel uneasy, as if their friendship over the years wasn't strong enough for her to know. However, Cami wasn't going to make herself seem vulnerable and continue to complain about the obvious secret. "That's usually what people do Cole...talk to each other...at least in a normal friendship anyway." she spoke looking over to him.
Cami's faced looked over at Cole questioning his statement and taken back by the obvious lie. "I've met your family Cole...they are interesting but I wouldn't say they were Satan himself." she spoke entertaining the thought. "Maybe I'm related to a movie monster...hmm..maybe a vampire? or a Siren, you know the ones that drown men." she mused giving him a disapproving look. "fine don't tell me...however you know I'll find out anyway, I always do."

" i'm sorry to hear about your uncle and aunt . " he said , standing dazed , his mind grappling with the reality of the situation . " it seems like everyone is at a loss for what to do next , " he breathed out , the weight of the moment palpable in the air .
gray watched the male and shrugged. "You know... my mom is a doppelganger, dad is the brother of a doppelganger... we have the cure running in our blood...so strange is everything about my life" he started. He sighed a little watching the male. For them to be good friends even though their families had such a strained relationship was odd at least, but part of graysons reluctance to end their friendship was grayson own rebellion. "My aunt and uncle jer are missing... so it's seems to have affected a lot of us.." he sighed.

" why would i want her to notice ? " he questioned , grayish-blues found his brother eyes . " if she realizes that i'm stealing her stuff , then i'll be out of business , " he noted , alluding to his clandestine activities in the magical drug trade . " besides , what's the point of stealing if you're planning to get caught ? " another question arise , unsure of his brother's intentions , yet aware of his brother's cold demeanor . cole never attempted to be anyone other than himself , despite the labels others tried to impose on him , and the same steadfastness applied to his family , never altering their true nature . " your very own bennett project . . and what project might that be ? " he mused fondly, observing the devilish grin spreading across his brother's face .
" good to know that as far as you're concerned , our family could rot in hell , " he said darkly . as a sociopath , his capacity to feel was limited to anger or happiness ; there was never really an in-between . on the spectrum , the demon-siphoner was seething at his brother's words . cole didn't hate his parents . they were more like pieces of a puzzle that helped him make sense of things . and despite his indifference towards his family , no one was allowed to harm them . this fact also extended to his older brother tobias , for whom he was currently harboring anger towards . the intensity in tobias's voice was acknowledged . saving his mother was an act that had nothing to do with the doppelganger ; it was a quest that he had sought out for himself ;; as selfish as it may have seemed .
“then it’s not worth taking, especially if she hasn’t even noticed,” tobias murmured to himself, his tone laced with a dismissive indifference. what cole needed these trinkets for was a mystery to him—something about his pursuit of "goodness," if such a concept even existed. the years apart had created a chasm between them, a gap too wide for tobias to bridge. the spector had found him when he was broken, discarded, and forgotten—at least, in his own mind. family, for him, was a twisted concept, far from the sentimental ideal others held dear. he could mimic the emotions, wear the mask of affection, but beneath the surface, he felt nothing more often than not.
“but it’s your life,” tobias continued, his voice carrying a cold detachment, “i have no need to interfere, unless, of course, you interfere with my own bennett project.” his thoughts drifted to sol, and a wicked smile tugged at his lips, dark and calculating.
the whisper of power from his spector caressed his ear as he leaned forward, listening to his brother’s musings about their mother, the long-lost matriarch of their fractured family.
“yes, a fact i wish i could rewrite, but alas…” he shrugged, his gaze locking onto his brother’s with a steely intensity. “let me make this very clear to you, cole—whether she’s alive, dead, rotting in the depths of hell, or cowering in some forsaken corner of the world, it makes no difference to me.” his eyes narrowed, the cold, uncaring look within them emphasizing just how little he cared for her—and the same could be said for their father.
with a flick of his wrist, tobias returned his attention to his book, flipping the page as if the conversation was nothing more than a minor distraction. “but by all means, waste your time searching for her if that’s what you feel compelled to do. she won’t appreciate it, regardless.” his words were sharp, cutting through the air with the precision of a blade, his indifference as chilling as the winter wind.

cole felt the intertwining of her hands with his , a comforting assurance that he was not alone . he took a deep breath , allowing himself a moment to look at her , to really see her and she was beautiful . however , the solace she offered was abruptly cut short by the realization that she was oblivious to the true gravity of the situation . they were both in the dark about why others who had vanished had return , and how their memories were erased , leaving them with no trail to follow . at least cole knew that it was related to the supernatural world , but she knew nothing . initially , a sense of vulnerability surfaced , an emotion foreign to cole . in such moments , he would instinctively retreat to a more familiar feeling , shutting down completely to shield himself from not only feeling , but appearing weak while he grieved over his mother . his dark , grayish-blue eyes met the brunette's gaze as he withdrew his hand from hers . " let's not pretend that your pretty little brain can fathom what exactly is going on here , " he said darkly , " because you have no fucking clue . "
The cold dew of the grass skimmed Camilla's black lace dress as she arrived at the memorial. Even as a kid she often hid away from anything that reminded her of death as it was often a reminder of how soon everything could change. Her caramel eyes scanned the crowd before landing on the one person she wanted to comfort during this time. As she approached, she intertwined her hand with Coles, unsure of how his emotions would be. "They are going to find her Cole." she spoke softly. "I heard a few of the missing already wandered back into town."

" who says i'm playing . " he teased darkly . his possessiveness was more of a trait , since he was not found of sharing . he pondered the conversation about being her boss . musing playfully over her words , enjoying their small banter . after he left to his car he waited for camilla with ease while he texted other girls to occupy his time . although , they had nothing on camilla .
" terribly , " he grin while admiring the clothes she had changed into . it was nice to see that she was somewhat over his past endeavors and was giving him another chance to make things right . he had already planed a few places to take her to that were still open at this time to ensure that camilla would enjoy herself . " does this mean you're ready . . because if you're tired a can always take you home . " he teased just to get a reaction out of her .
"Two can play the possessive game Cole, and I happen to be really good at it." she winked playfully. Ever since they were younger, Cami thrived off playing games with the Parker boys, over time her interest in one particular brother made Cole the better suited opponent. She had never been sure if he let her win or if it was just luck. However, she wasn't planning to lose their long game now.
"And give you the pleasure of being my boss all day? You know I don't often like to follow the rules I'm given." she smiled devilishly. Cami was well aware of Cole's job, a fact she often didn't pay any mind to. Most days she was pretty sure she would let him get away with murder if that meant keeping him around. "I know better than to keep Cole Parker waiting...don't want to be in trouble later." she continued to tease before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and quietly leaving the storage room.
The last thirty minutes of her shift dragged on. A few locals who often tried to get into Cami's pants on more than one occasion, she was half tempted to send Cole in after them to make a point she would never say yes. As the clocked ticked town she wiped down the sticky bar in front of her before heading to the employee locker room for a quick change. She often ensured there was always a change of clothing in her locker, it did fair well if she walked the streets smelling like booze in the morning. Cami tapped her employee numbers into the computer before quickly exiting the building to see Cole waiting for her in the car. "Missed me?" she asked throwing her bag in the back seat before sliding into the passenger side.

cole watched adeline uncertainty as she turned away to think , then turned back . cole revealed a devilish smirk that revealed her surrender to his encounter offer . his grayish-blue eyes followed as adeline slid a strand of hair behind her ear , leaving him wondering if it was a nervous tic . " right, " he mused quickly, seemingly dismissing her request of not asking for a significant favor when the time came . his memory failed to recall any instance of following rules .
cole huffed . a semi chuckle escape his lips as the blonde tap her foot against his leg . " well , considering you'll be as big as a house soon , we might as well do the clocking spell now . . i just need a few things from my house . " he spoke , although food sounded like a good idea . " then we can grab some food afterwards . . maybe order out . " he added . despite cole's often cold demeanor , he remained charming — perhaps it was a skill he had honed from a very early age , given that human emotions were difficult for the demon -siphoner to grasp .
as expected, there wasn't a doubt that went by that she may have to return this small favor - but for someone like cole? no favors are recuperated as small favors, like big favors wouldn't be recuperated with small favors in return, right? every single ounce of her body was screaming to not go through with it, but in desperate fashion, she had no one else to go to that had some form of comfortability in that moment. her body turned from him to think it over for a moment, turning back when tucking the strands of hair behind her ear. "fine, but nothing too big - alright?" she may or may not get that kind of respect from him, but at least it was stated before him. however, the teasing brought a furrow to her brows and tilting her chin down to softly glare. "you're funny," she simply stated without any hint of amusement, lifting her chin when picking up her right foot to lightly tap against the side of cole's nearest leg. "how about we stop teasing me and get something to eat?" she eyed him when lowering her foot back down to the ground, tucking her hands in the pocket of her coat jacket.

the sight of hope's eagerness brought a smirk to his face . the demon-siphoner , moved deftly through the pages to find the lyrics that contained the spell before handing it to hope casually , his amusement clear at the thought of the spell's potential working . when she inquired if he was prepared , a devilish grin spread across his face . " always , " he mused confidently , his curiosity piqued about whether the spell would indeed take effect .
"Alright, let's do it. Hand the book over and let's see what we need," Hope replied, extending her hand to take the book and examine the spell he wanted to cast. With a shrug of her shoulders, she added, "I think it might work, but I won't be certain unless we give it a try. Are you up for it?" She awaited his response, ready to embark on this magical endeavor together.

" of course , i can do it , " he mused . cole shrugged , " the real question is , what are you going to do for me ? " cole wasn't in the business of doing favors . he mused darkly , " how about this . . i do this for you , and when the day comes , you'll return the favor . do we have a deal ? " he looked at the blonde . " should we drink to it ? " he teased the mother to be .
adeline's expression may have given away that she's not sure on whether she should or not. "it's just -" her sentence was cut off by looking around their surroundings. ".. look, are you really able to do this or not?" she inquired, starting to feel that uneasiness and yet it was her own curiosity that led her here in the first place. here she was - about to go against her own advice in not trusting cole with things like this - but she wasn't sure on who else to turn to.

" we can start off with a disillusionment spell . . whatever is taking people can't be seen with the naked eye . so . i thought if we cast a spell from the bennett's witch grimorar , we can cast a spell that allow us to counter the illusion or cloaking spells , we will be able to reveal what is magically hidden and finally see what these so call dark figures are . ' he said , taking a breath . there was a chance it wouldn't work , but there was also a chance that it could . " what do you think ? " he added with his famous charming smile .
The girl's smile widened at the news of the Bennett grimoire being found, her interest piqued. She knew she had access to her grandmother's grimoires, but decided to explore this option first to see what it could offer. "Well, I can help with that. What do you want to start of with?" she offered eagerly, her confidence in her spellcasting abilities evident. With a flicker of mischief in her eyes, an unsettling grin played on her lips as she focused her gaze on the man in front of her, ready to assist with any magical challenges that may come their way.

cole was somewhat curious to hear who had returned after they had been taken . yet , the mystery deepened as his mother remained amongst the missing . his eyes , a dark shade of grayish-blue , searched the male's face . " did they mention the place they were taken ? " he inquired , hoping that theodore might hold a vital clue to locating katherine .
The younger male's expression remained composed as he absorbed the information shared by the man regarding the disappearances. Deep down, he was well aware that a close relative had played a role in the mysterious events, but the sudden reappearance of this person left him feeling conflicted. Despite the oddness of the situation, Theo hadn't yet taken the initiative to engage in a conversation about the circumstances surrounding their absence.
"Indeed, a family member was among those who went missing, but they have resurfaced," Theo remarked casually, punctuating his statement with a casual shrug. The extent of the disappearances was still a vague point for him, as he knew only a handful of individuals who had vanished without a trace, leaving a lingering sense of unease in their wake. The young man contemplated the underlying implications of their return and the unresolved questions that lingered in the air, adding a layer of complexity to the unfolding events.

" as long as you're the only one ? " he echoed with amusement . " now , who's being possessive ? " he teased the brunette playfully . their relationship was undefined , and perhaps that's what cole like about it the uncertainty , the absence of labels , gave him the freedom he needed without the burden of living up to anyone's expectations . besides , cole was certain that he wouldn't make a good boyfriend . regardless of the fact , camilla was always a door that he could never close .
perhaps it was her unawareness of the supernatural world that shield her from his darkness , the part that was an abomination , and the whispers that followed . cole was far from perfect , and there were moments when the demon hybrid warned camilla that she deserved better , while also confessing his disdain for seeing her with anyone else . although his jealousy was more so on the dangerous slope .
" you can always work for me , " he mused a statement that only underscored reasons why he wasn't good for her . his fingertips danced along side her waist before his large hand rested on each side of her hips , " fine , " he retorted , his grayish - blue eyes rolling in annoyance at the necessity of her work , before catching her cinnamon hues . " just leave on time . . you know i hated when you're late , " his words smooth , yet dark , mindful of the mere thirty minutes remaining on her shift . " i'll be in the car , " he added, already distancing himself from the scene .
Cami and Cole had come a long way from being childhood friends, she wasn't exactly sure what they were now. Perhaps friends with benefits, the term seemed too distant for the past they shared. However, there would always be some part of Cami that was still sharing her first kiss with Cole, her first of many things to experience with him."
"I think the look of jealousy is well suited for you Cole Parker. As long as I'm the only one you have that feeling for." she hummed. Although they never discussed the extents of their relationship, Cami could also be very possessive of him. Shown by the various fights she had involved herself in with other girls. "If I get fired you are going to be paying for a lot more than just a shopping trip Cole." she teased, part of her never wanting to return to her job in the first place as she was perfectly happy being here with him.
