Making big purchases like this give me anxiety to a heavy level because low key I feel like I'm wasting money and that I don't need it because Arson, even though he's clearly not meant to last a lot longer in that shell and is corrupting and losing files, is still booting up and therefore I feel like I've done this 'too early' and that I don't deserve to get the new pc

was rewatching fabian’s baron moment on account of it being the most delicious piece of pvp in my recent memory and ally beardsley’s growth as a player just shone through so brightly and with such clarity. after dusting off their shock they immediately asked about the nemesis ward, had enough knowledge about fellow pcs stocked to remember adaine’s ac with such like frustrated confidence and certainty, suggested to siobhan to dimension door out of adaine’s room, like. they came into this making a character with 4 dex. and now the dice deity offered to roll a check to sense if adaine was in danger. making decisions, asking questions, getting invested in the story, trying so hard with the tools they have to save characters from danger; ally beardsley is an incredible d&d player.

The tragic idea that the Betrayers loved their siblings so much that it ended up being what drove them apart. They didn't want to settle for anything that could hurt their family, and mortals were doing so, either directly (a mortal usurping one of them) or indirectly (emotionally hurting them during the Schism by just. dying so much). To the Betrayers, it wasn't worth it. They wanted their beloved family to leave and go somewhere that wouldn’t hurt them.

To them, it's the primes who are the betrayers. The primes were motivated by more than just love for their immediate family - they loved their creation, too, and more than that, felt a responsibility for it. They would rather fight their own siblings than leave it.

We saw all the gods love and protect each other during the opening of Downfall. The Betrayers were not uniquely evil from the start. They wanted to save themselves and their family from hardship and suffering, even if it meant leaving their creation, their game, and in response their siblings locked them away. Not only do they not love mortals, they view mortals as this corruptive force that somehow turned their family against them. Do they think that, if they succeed in exterminating them, the Primes will be freed from their influence? Maybe - perhaps some of them are waiting to forgive and embrace their siblings, but far from all, I suspect. Asmodeus certainly expressed during Calamity that he didn’t so much want to be reunited with his siblings as he wanted to punish them. He was betrayed by the ones he loved most for the sake of a game! Maybe togetherness and forgiveness was once an obtainable goal, but not anymore. Even if the Betrayers succeeded in ending Exandria, the Primes would never forgive them, and they would never forgive the primes. Their family can never be whole again because of, as they see it, the toxic influence of mortals. So they hate mortals for this influence, but more than that, they hate their siblings for being so weak as to fall for it.

i'm going to take a break from being on here for a while, until the veilguard hate calms down or until i no longer care, whichever comes first. i went from being really excited to create in this fandom to being bitterly disappointed and unhappy in less than 2 weeks. if a character's mere existence makes you feel justified in platforming your bigoted opinions and being vicious to people who like them maybe try some personal reflection instead. it's honestly triggering to be under a constant state of anxiety that if i breathe wrong or act too excited about something i love the wrong person might see it and i'm going to get crucified for it, literally just because other people can't stand to see someone happy over something they don't like.

every time i think about taash now it comes with a wave of sadness and stress because i know that the fact that i like them makes me a target for bullying. you guys need to seriously get crucial. you're a grown adult video game blogging on tumblr, you do not have the right to be this up your own ass.

i think the problem w the solavellan interactions or specifically lavellan speaking w rook in veilguard is that we can only influence our inq through rooks dialogue options. had there been a way to play as the inquisitor even in a cutscene or a small chunk of the game and choose their stance and feelings it wouldn't have felt so bleh and sort of a "she would not say that" moment (to me at least bc gan'freya would def show up to whoop the evanuris LMAOOOO)

also it's weird because when we imported hawke into the keep you could choose her personality, veilguard doesn't give that option for inq which i found so strange? sorry my babygirl doesn't sit & mope around she likes stealing and also bullying her husband for his delusions of grandeur

My disability-adjacent hot take is that subtitles alone aren't really enough. I have trouble differentiating where sound comes from, for instance, so it's wildly helpful to have clarification on where sound is supposed to be coming from (right versus left, ect).

On a related note, if your subtitles are not clear, accurate, or translated in the case of foreign language, your subtitles aren't good. I don't want to read a paraphrased, censored version of what people are saying. I want to know exactly what they're saying because omitting even one word can dramatically change the tone, implication, and the entire meaning of what is said.

i don't think difficulty and challenge should be a litmus test for whether or not a game is "good"

first of all, how good a game is entirely depends on the person. like a game that one person hates might be a game that someone else loves

second of all, remember the animal crossing craze when acnh came out? i don't think that's an especially challenging game, but it's still beloved. games that aren't challenging can be beloved

third of all, maybe those of us who suck at games maybe want a game that's easy for once? 🤷🏼

I feel like in wake of the music video can I criticize the word use/word choices. I'm not going to argue for Shelby supporters not to criticize Wilbur. That's their/your right and they're/you're valid to express it, but I am going to argue how they/you do so needs to be a little more considerate to other people.

Please, can we refrain from demonizing personality disorders people don't choose to have and using them as insults. Same with drug addictions. Drug addictions are not a moral failure. I know USA pushes DARE, and willpower and choice, but drug addictions are often systemic issues and from mental health crisis and are not a sign of an 'evil' person.

And can I just say, if you want to hold him accountable, if you want to criticize anything about his new music video--please for the love of cats and dogs--please choose your language better.

I'm hoping this is a dialogue Shelby supporters are having because I really don't want to tag them and get absolutely vile hate comments just for asking that if you're going to criticize Wilbur, can you not like...dehumanize whole groups of people and feel good doing it.

Like it's a good time to remind people when you criticize someone for physical traits or things they cannot change or are extreme afflictions they have (weight, teeth, hair, receding hairlines, skin, mental illness, addiction)—there's a very real chance someone you know and like also has something similar and they can feel like crap seeing a trait they have referred to as if it's something horrendous.

I also, though I haven't seen much, but I guess it might be because there's less of us. Do not attack Shubble's appearance either. Don't fight fire with fire.

Honestly, maybe we just need to post more compliments and nice things x_X.
