Stop That~Pedri Gonzalez
*GIF isn't mine. credits to the owner*
I feel like I haven't wrote for my bf for a long time so here's an enemies to lovers trope with Pepi😙
you can request from my prompt list
this is my master list
players/drivers i write for
105-"can I ask, what the hell have I ever done that you hate me this much?"
145-"You're so fucking hot when you're mad."
For some reason, y/n and Pedri's first meeting wasn't as quite as good as it should've been. They had a small misunderstanding, which y/n was ready to let go of, until she saw thatPedri didn't want that.
His actions weren't so kind, too rude for the golden boy's reputation. She didn't understand why he hated her so much, but he just did. So she thought instead of always wondering why he disliked her, just hate him back.
She was Ansu's best friend. And Ansu being the social butterfly he is, took her everywhere with him. Everywhere I mean by almost all of his training sessions, matches, team dinners. Literally everywhere. She was always his plus one
"sorry Ansu, but if Pedri is gonna be there I'm not going" she put her hands up while shaking her head
"its just gonna be us and a few of the boys y/n, maybe you and Pedri can solve whatever you have between each other" Ansu begged, trying to convince her
"when I know what's wrong between us I'll try to solve it. If I don't know what's wrong then the problem definitely isn't me" she shrugged, plopping down on her couch
"please y/n? for me? If Pedri does anything we'll leave immediately" Ansu used his secret weapon against her, giving her his big puppy eyes
"oh my god...fine!" she let out a sigh, as Ansu jumped up with a wide smile
"get dressed quickly. I'll be waiting in the car" he said before rushing outside
y/n rolled her eyes but got dressed nevertheless, not wanting to disappoint her best friend
"Ansuuu. I thought you wouldn't come" Pablo said, widening the door for the two best friends
"this one made me late, don't mind us" he gave him a hug before Pablo gave y/n a high five
"oh god...she's here too?"Pedri said as soon as the trio stepped into the room
y/n rolled her eyes with a huff
"its not like I've been looking forward to seeing your stupid face. I'm here for Ansu and the others" she flopped down on the couch, avoiding his glare as his eyes burned into the side of her face
"Uhh guys?" Gavi said, walking from the kitchen to the living room
"what is it now Pablo?" Pedri said chuckling slighty
"I kinda forgot to get the snacks..?" he said in an awkward voice with a nervous laugh
y/n chuckled at him, while Pedri, Ansu, and Ferran were scolding him
"its fine Pab, I'll go buy us some snacks. who's coming with me?" she asked
Pedri stood up with a smirk
"I'll join you, who's driving?" he asked, already walking to the door
y/n and the others were confused at Pedri's actions
"um I'll take Ansu's car" she took the keys from Ansu before he got the chance to complain
Pedri was outside, while y/n was cursing under her breath at his actions. Now they had to be in a car alone, and probably fighting all the time
y/n started driving the car, Pedri sat silently next to her, before she heard him huff
"what is it now?" she asked annoyingly at his action
"speed up a bit, we're not driving my grandma's car" he rolled his eyes causing y/n to repeat his actions
"if the way I drive bothers you I'll gladly drop you of here and you can find your own way to the supermarket" she snapped at him
"oh shut up. I only came here cause I know none of the guys would want to sit with your complaining ass in a car for 15 minutes straight" he crossed his arms over his chest, proud of his words
"can I ask, what the hell have I ever done that you hate me this much?" y/n stopped the car in the middle of the empty highway, turning to look at Pedri with flaming eyes and a red face
"everything you do annoys me and makes me hate you so much. I despise you in a way I can't even describe" he had a smirk on his face, enjoying how angry he's making her
"just tell me what I fucking did!" she yeller, feeling the flames exiting her ears. Her hands were clenched into fists, her nails digging into her palms. He was really testing her patience right now
"You're so fucking hot when you're mad." his smirk widened only, his eyes drifting from her eyes to her lips, before he ran his tongue over his own lips
"stop that! you can't say you hate me and despise me then say I look hot!" she snapped, letting out a breath to control her anger
" I can and I did" he shrugged his shoulders
y/n let out a sigh, and leaned her head against the stirring wheel. She was tired.
"just tell me why you hate me" she mumbled, not removing her head from the steering wheel
Pedri too let out a sigh before he started speaking
"I just hate how you're close with everyone but me. I hate how every other guy in our group seems to have your attention but me. I hate how you seem to realize that everyone is crushing on you but me" he opened up, running his hand over his face
y/n lifted her head to look at him, raising her eyebrows at his confusing confession
"you have a crush on me?" she asked, trying to figure out what was happening
Pedri hummed, avoiding her eyes by staring outside the window
"and you expect me to notice that by the way you've been treating me since we met?" she asked, annoyed that he blamed her for not noticing
"well sorry I don't know how to express my feelings for you so I made myself hate you thinking it was easier" he said sarcastically, making y/n chuckle
"you're such a weirdo" she said, before starting the car again and continuing their drive to the supermarket
"you're gonna say anything?" Pedri furrowed his eyebrows as she was driving silently
"what do you want me to say? I might have feelings for you too but you have to give me sometime to try and forget every shitting thing you've said to me" she said, making a look of guilt wash over Pedri's face
"right...I'm sorry about that. I know some of the things I've said before might have hurt you, but I promise if you give me a chance I'll become a better person" he almost begged. y/n was kinda surprised at his desperation, never expecting him to be this vulnerable
"I promise I'll give you a chance Pedro. but you have to prove that you deserve it" she said, after parking the car on front of the supermarket
Pedri smiled, while she took of her seatbelt, about to get out of the car before Pedri grabbed her wrist. She turned to look at him.
"dinner at 8 tomorrow. I'll pick you up" y/n smiled and nodded her head, before they continued doing what they first came to do

Tomose SSR
Ammobium Progress
Part 1
Ito: (…………Hmmm?)
Tomose: ……..
Time before the cafe opens. When I arrived at work, I found Onda-san, who seemed to have already finished getting ready.
Ito: (It was supposed to be Kise-san’s shift today, but Onda-san is here as well. That's unusual.)
(Not to mention, that outfit...)
Good morning
Tomose: Ito, huh…..
Ito: Looking forward to working with you today. By the way...
That outfit is for the event, right?
Tomose: Apparently.
Ito: Is there any event going on? I must have missed an important work call...
Tomose: Not really, everything is normal.
Ito: Oh.... That's a relief.
Tomose: I just need to wear it.
Ito: (A forcing situation, huh…………)
Looking closely, his hair was slightly damp. I could pretty much guess the reason….
Ito: Let me guess... A sudden downpour? It was raining really hard a while ago.
Tomose: Precisely. I made a judgment that if I waited for it to stop, I'd be late.
Ito: That must have been pretty wet... It’s no surprise that you changed, then.
Tomose: I don't really care if my clothes get wet, but since I'm in charge of the kitchen, there are few things that should be taken into account.
So I wore what was available.
Ito: (Well, if you don't go out to the dining area, you won't stand out even in the event costume.)
(It's already rare to see Onda-san handling the kitchen, but to see him all dressed up like this is even more unusual.....)
Tomose: Ito, aren’t you going to the staff room right now?
Ito: Oh, yes. I will go put my things down and get ready.
Tomose: The wet clothes are in the staff room. If it bothers you, just avoid it.
Ito: Got it. I'll prepare myself.
Part 2
Ito: …..Alright, I’ll get some rest while I can.
Once the peak lunchtime had passed and the number of customers had calmed down, I decided to take a break. Just as I was about to eat the food I had brought with me, Onda-san’s clothes caught my eye once again.
Ito: It didn't really affect me, so I left it as is... But it doesn't seem to have dried out that much.
(I know it's a little late to say this, but I think it would be better to dry it in the office.)
The sunshine will come through there, and the breeze can be let in through the window.
Ito: (I'm sure Kosaka-san hasn’t gone out today either. Should I take it now and dry it in the office?)
(But that might be a bit too intrusive. Hmm.)
It would be inconvenient if he’s still drenched on the way home...
After a brief hesitation, I decided it’s best to ask the person himself.
Ito: Onda-san, sorry to bother you when you're busy.
Tomose: Now is not the busy hour. Isn’t that why Yashiro is on a break?
Ito: (That reminds me, Onda-san is the type who doesn't need a preface when it comes to work...)
I was just wondering if it was okay to move Onda-san's clothes.
Tomose: No need to ask for permission.
Ito: Thank you. I'll take care of it.
Tomose: Go ahead.
Ito: .....This should do.
I hung Onda-san’s clothes that I brought from the staff room in a place that would get the wind and sunlight from the window.
Ito: (It will probably dry faster than if I just left it there.)
I already told Kise-san that I was going to take a break at the office. Time to dig in. I sat down in a chair and eased myself up, then proceeded to eat. Until a little while later...
Tomose: So you’re here.
Ito: Eh?
Tomose: I went to the staff room for a break, both you and my clothes weren’t there.
Onda-san looked at the clothes hanging to dry and then at me in turn.
Tomose: I see what’s going on.
Ito: Uhh…..
Tomose: I don’t really mind if you just leave it as it is.
Ito: ….! I apologize...
Tomose: For what?
Onda-san looked straight at me with a genuinely confused look on his face. I, too, had a big question mark floating above my head...
Part 3
Ito: (Um...)
We looked at each other for a while before making up my mind to speak up.
Ito: Well, I did something to your belongings on my own.
Tomose: And? You already came to ask for permission, didn’t you?
I just thought of moving my clothes because they were in the way.
Ito: (Oh….)
Tomose: I made you waste your time during your break.
Ah, that's why he said “I don’t really mind if you just leave it as it is. It didn’t necessarily mean “don’t do something unnecessary.”
Ito: It wasn't a hassle at all.
Besides, no matter how I thought about it, my words weren't enough. As a result, I ended up doing something on my own. I have to say sorry.
Tomose: All you ever do is apologize.
I doubt anything will dry when it’s raining cats and dogs like this, you might also need to be careful of the poodle.
Ito: ……………………………………………………….
He stared at me with a straight face, so forward that I couldn’t utter any words.
Tomose: ……..That's not the reaction I was expecting.
Ito: ……..Come again?
Tomose: Riku once advised me that jokes are necessary to lighten the mood at times.
Ito: (Jokes to lighten the mood...)
Tomose: I doubt anything will dry when it’s raining cats and dogs like this, you might also need to be careful of the poodle.
Ito: (Oh, a puddle….!)
Tomose: I tried to put it into practice, but it seems I was off the mark.
Ito: ……….
I didn’t know whether Onda-san is skillful or clumsy. I thought he'd just given me a sharp warning, so I was actually trembling inside.
Ito: (Now what do we have here? This is getting a little interesting.)
No, I wouldn’t say that. The timing could use more work, but you really brightened up my mood.
Tomose: If you say so.
Ito: That’s right, it’s all thanks to you.
There's no lie in my words.
As my cheeks became less tense, I suddenly looked up and saw that it was sunny outside the window. Onda-san’s clothes seemed to be drying just fine.

ITEM #34: You’ve heard of finger painting, but nose painting is the latest rage in the art world. Using non-toxic paints, “nose-paint” a lovely realistic (not abstract!) painting on a large piece of paper or canvas. Submit a photo of the finished product next to your unwashed face. Bonus points if it’s a plein air painting you make in a busy public location.
I love the gish items whose sole contingent factor is whether or not I’m willing to make a fool of myself in public. Because, trust me, after SIX YEARS OF THIS, I definitely am.

"Hello, Roman. Ready to… oh, Virgil, um, good evening." Janus had already been halfway across Roman's large bedroom when he saw Virgil, who was... perched on the headboard?
No one quite knew how Virgil did it, but he had the mystifying tendency to defy gravity whenever and wherever he chose to sit. It bothered Logan to no end, much to the amusement of Janus.
Roman was also on the bed but had chosen a much more reasonable position, sprawled across his pillows, lounging in his 'royal' silk pajamas.
He had gone to Roman's room for their usual movie night, but it seemed that Virgil had beaten him to it.
"What are you doing here?" Virgil looked back and forth between them with something more akin to confusion than suspicion.
"Actually, I was just leaving so—" Janus quickly turned to leave when Roman called out to him.
"Nonsense! Stay?" And oh, that wasn't fair. There was no way Roman was allowed to look that cute. "Please." Roman pleaded.
Janus sighed, knowing full well that Roman had won, and edged closer to where Roman and Virgil sat on the bed.
"So what are you actually doing here?" Virgil asked, his confusion only multiplying.
"Oh! I, uh… I volunteered! To help him with... a new thing in the Imagination. After all, someone's got to be the villain around here since you decided to be disgustingly good now." Janus twisted his fingers around each other nervously.
Virgil looked like he didn't exactly buy it, but wasn't going to argue. "Okay?" Virgil jumped down from where he'd been 'sitting' (if you could even call it that). "Um, I guess I'll just leave y'all to it then. Have fun—"
"What? No!" Roman cried. "You don't need to go, Verge. Let's see, Janus and I can do the, er, Imagination thing later. Let's watch a movie, all three of us!"
Janus and Virgil shared a brief searching look, and, after determining the other didn't seem to mind, hesitantly nodded.
Virgil shrugged. "Yeah, sure. Why not?" Virgil sat next to Roman, jostling him in the process. "Oop—, sorry."
"Alright, what movie should we watch then?" Janus asked, stepping to the edge of the bed.
"So I'm not saying Frozen…" Roman said, mischievously. "But, eh, you know… it'd be fun! Actually, I bet I could easily write sonnets about my love for Frozen and essays of reasons of why we should watch it. The essay would start with something like—"
" ’Essays of reasons of why’? " Virgil interrupted. "Kinda clunky, don't ya think?"
"Oh hush, you… you MCR emo!"
Virgil just rolled his eyes and continued on. "Besides, We always watch that, Princey. We should watch—"
"Let me guess, Nightmare Before Christmas? Or maybe Black Cauldron?"
Virgil all but pouted. "...Maybe."
"Well, maybe we should put it to a vote!"
"Uhh, wouldn't everyone just pick theirs? Plus, you always rig the vote so there's really no point."
"Well… maybe we should let Janus choose! The fabulous and fantastical Frozen? Or one of Dark-And-Gloomy's dark and gloomy movies?"
"Well—" Janus started, but was interrupted by Virgil.
"Wow, totally not biased there. So maybe we should actually let him choose his own movie, j'ever think about that?"
"But then how do we choose which one of the three?! Also, if we do that then you can't have two picks, Mr. Grumpy Pants. That's cheating!"
"No one said I would necessarily submit both! And what do you even care about cheating?! You seem to like it just fine enough when you're the one doing it."
"Hey!" Roman put a hand on his chest dramatically, light-hearted shock on his face.
"Alright alright, children. That's enough!" Janus pursed his lips. "Each person will write down one choice on a piece of paper, put it in the hat, and we'll watch all three of them. I will draw the papers from my hat, so there's no tampering from Roman, and that will be the order in which we watch them." Janus looked at them both carefully, waiting to see if either of them would argue with him. "Alright?"
"Oh, okay. That works." Virgil shrugged.
"I suppose, just as long as I get to watch Frozen."
Virgil rolled his eyes. "Yes, Roman, you'll have your precious Frozen."
"Okay! So here's the paper and glitter pens!!"
…
"I still can't believe Frozen is last," Roman whined for the 37th... 38th? time, Janus had lost count. And somehow they'd only managed to get halfway through the first movie of the evening: Nightmare Before Christmas.
It was going to be an extremely long evening, Janus realised as Roman let out another loud whine, especially if things continued at this rate.
"Yeah, well... deal with it, Princey."
Roman scooted forward and then flopped back on the pillows, his arm over his eyes, dramatically. Janus patted his arm.
Janus didn't particularly care about what order they went in, and as fun as it was to make Roman suffer complain about it to Virgil, it was getting a bit old. Perhaps he could use Roman's desire to go next 'against' him.
"Alright, we'll play yours second—"
Roman sat up, eyes bright. "Oh, thank you thank you than—"
"IF—"
"Awww."
"If you stay quiet during the entire rest of Virgil's movie. If you can manage to do that, we'll watch Frozen next."
Roman nodded frantically.
"Oh wow, we should've thought of this sooner. Only way to get him quiet," Virgil joked.
Roman stuck out his tongue, Virgil stuck out his in retaliation, which quickly turned into play fighting. Janus paused the movie with an eyeroll and angled himself directly behind Roman, waiting for the opportune time to strike.
After Roman paused to dramatically loom over Virgil, Janus saw his opportunity. He quickly wrapped his arms around Roman's waist and yanked him back so that they were sitting against the headboard, Roman flush with Janus' chest.
Roman inhaled, obviously trying to not make a sound. Was it Janus' imagination or was Roman's face flushed? It must have been from play-fighting with Virgil.
Virgil scooted over and, sitting almost thigh to thigh with Janus, pulled Roman so he was half on each lap.
Roman squeaked. "No, wait! That doesn't count… aw, shit."
"Oh, it might not've, but that sure did," Virgil said, trying and failing to stifle his laughter.
"Noooo!" Roman pouted and when that didn't achieve the desired results, crossed his arms in mild fake anger.
"Well, actually…" Janus raised an eyebrow, "The movie is paused, so does it really count?"
"I— oh, hmmm, I don't know." Virgil mused as Roman gave him a pleading look. Virgil sighed loudly, pretending to be annoyed. "Alright, fine, I guess it won't count this time, but next time it definitely will. This is your first, and only, warning, Princey."
Roman wiggled his hips, happily. He opened his mouth before shutting it quickly. Virgil laughed.
Janus hummed softly as he watched the interaction, something akin to fondness curling in his chest.

a/n: hi yes! another differently formatted chapter! word count is 2.2k, so it’s not that long. also this semi-proof read sorry (meaning i did proof reading and editing while writing it but i didnt give it one last over view.. again, sorry) hope u like it! :D
You sigh as you swing your legs back and forth from the countertop you were sitting on. Currently, you, Renjun, Chenle, and Jeno were all at Hyuck's house hanging out. Your sigh catches the attention of Renjun which prompts him to ask "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." You say, trying to brush it off.
He furrows his eyebrows. "It's not nothing. If it's bothering you this much why don't we talk about it?"
You pout at him, hoping he'll pick up a sign that you don't want to, but still he insists that you tell him what's wrong.
"Well.." You mumble. "Jisung said he wanted to talk to me tonight.."
"Sorry, what?" Renjun asks. "I didn't hear you."
"Jisung said.. he wanted to meet up to explain everything." You say, a little louder this time.
"Jisung what?!" Renjun exclaims, getting the attention of everyone else in the room.
You sigh in defeat as you watch Jeno tense at the name of his ex-friend.
"What's this about Jisung?" Jeno asks.
"Nothing." You mumble, trying to find something else to talk about.
"No no, it's okay. I won't be upset." Jeno reassures. "What about Jisung?"
"He wanted to clear up a few things with me." You answer, glancing at the clock propped up on Hyuck's kitchen wall.
Donghyuck seems to notice how fast your eyes move and asks "Tonight?"
"Yeah. In like an hour or so actually." You confirm.
"Are you sure you want to go?" Renjun asks you.
"Well.. yeah. I kinda want an explanation."
"Are you sure?" Chenle asks. "Like, one hundred percent sure?"
"Yeah?" You nod, confused on why they seemed so concerned with you meeting up with Jisung again.
"Why?" He asks.
"I literally just told you why." You answer, annoyance prominent in your voice.
"Okay." Chenle says, backing off, hands raised in defense.
"Do you, uh, need a ride?" Donghyuck asks, hoping to clear the air a bit.
"Yeah, sure." You agree, hopping off the kitchen counter. It takes him back a little, he wasn't expecting that kind of response, especially that quickly.
"Oh, uhh, now?" He asks as he watches walk towards his hallway.
"Uh, yeah?" You say as he looks at his two friends and his boyfriend confusingly. They shrug in response. You can hear Chenle say "Hey man, you offered to drive. Not us."
You pause in between the end of the hallway and the entrance to the kitchen to watch the four boys start to quarrel.
"Jeno, you'll come with me, right?" Donghyuck asks and Jeno shoots him a look.
"Are you insane?" Jeno responds. "I don't wanna talk to him."
"You're not going to talk to him. Y/n is."
"Okay, then I don't want to see him."
"Fine." Donghyuck scoffs, before turning his head to look at Renjun and Chenle who were already saying no.
"What are you gonna do?" He asks them.
"We're gonna watch your house. Duh." Chenle responds.
"Actually. They're gonna watch your house." Renjun corrects, pointing at Jeno and Chenle. "I'm going to watch Chenle."
"Whaaat!! That's not fair!" He protests.
"I trust Jeno more than you." Renjun retorts back.
Donghyuck sighs in defeat. "Fine. Just don't do anything stupid." He says, turning to walk towards you and you can see the three boys cheer behind him. It causes you to giggle, and Donghyuck is just happy you're happy.
Once out of his house and into his car he asks you where you're going. You tell him not to worry and that you'll just give him the directions on how to get there. It only worries him more.
"I dunno y/n. It seems kinda sketch."
"Listen I know you don't trust the guy, but you trust me, right?" You ask.
"Yeah.."
"Then trust me, that it'll be okay."
"Okay." He sighs. "You lead the way."
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay?" Donghyuck asks as you step out of the passenger seat to his car.
"Yeah. I'm sure." You sigh.
"Okay.. Just. Call me if you need me. I'll be nearby, okay?"
"I'll be fine, Hyuck. Don't worry."
"Whatever you say.." He mumbles before rolling up his window and driving away.
Walking to the only other human like figure around you, you start to wonder if Jisung is really worth your time. Sure you missed the time you spent together, all the hours in the library studying and having stupid debates over the simplest things like, the best ice cream flavor, or how to write the number eight. Yeah you missed it, but was it really worth going back to? You could do these with anyone, even the new friends you've made so far this year. But for some reason, it was different with Jisung.
Maybe it's because you did like him. Or maybe it's because he was really different from your other friends. Yes you love Hyuck, and Renjun, and Chenle to death but it was nice having someone else to talk to, someone who didn't know everything about you, someone you could make different memories with.
"You came.." He says. It's not loud, but it's not quiet either. It's enough to snap you out of your thoughts though.
"Yeah." You nod. "I wanna know.. the truth. And only the truth."
"Do you promise to believe me?" He asks.
You don't respond for a second, you just stare at him with a blank face. You can tell that his eyes are shaky and you can't tell if he's about to cry or not.
"I don't want to make a promise I can't keep."
Needless to say, you could practically feel Jisung's heart shatter.
"Okay." He nods. "Where do you want me to start?"
"I don't know? The beginning?"
"Oh.. Right." He mumbles. "Well um.. You- You see.. It started like- uhm- like."
"So are you gonna tell me or are you just going to keep stalling?"
"Uhh."
"I mean. I can wait, I do have all night for your information." You spit, crossing your arms. "Do you? Or do you have another date planned after this? Y'know, one where you lied to another other girl too?"
"I- What? I don't have another 'date' after this.." He defends. "I've.. I've been alone for the past month and a half.. What are you talking about?"
"So I've heard."
"Look." Jisung sighs, you notice that he looks tired. "I don't wanna fight. Can we just start over?"
"Okay Park Jisung, we can do whatever you want." You scoff. "Hi! I'm y/n l/n, I came to have a conversation. Are we going to have one, or not?"
"You want me to start at the beginning?" He yells. "Fine then! I'll start at the beginning. I'll tell you whatever the fuck you wanna hear!"
"It's true! In the beginning of the school year I was bored and was looking for someone to date. But then I met you! And you were different!"
"Oh yeah? Well I bet you tell that to every girl you meet!" You yell back at him.
Ignoring what you said, Jisung decides to continue. "For some reason something clicked with you. I don't know what it was and I don't remember when, but something just clicked. You really were different. I started enjoying your company a lot more and everything just felt right.. around you."
"This is bullshit." You mumble before turning to walk away. Part of you didn't want to leave because you knew what he was talking about, something clicking. The other part of you decided that this was probably all a lie. "If he's lied to me before he'll do it again." You think trying to convince yourself to leave.
"I'm sorry, Jisung." You sigh. "I really want to believe you, trust me, I do. But you've told me things before.. and you lied to me about them. So who's to say that you aren't lying to me right now?"
There's no response. He just looks at you and you can see the small bits of hope leave his eyes. "Okay." You sigh with a nod before turning to leave. You get pretty far away when you hear him yell your name in attempt to get you to stop walking away from him. "Before you go.. can I please just tell you something?"
You let out a tired sigh. "What is it?"
"You don't have to believe me." He starts. "But you remember that night we spent together? The one right here? In this exact spot?"
You nod. "You mean the night that you lied to me?"
Your words sting, but he decides to continue anyways, trying his best to not show how much that hurt him.
"I meant everything I said that night.. All those words I said were true y'know.." He whispers. "I miss you."
"I miss seeing how your eyes lit up.. And I miss seeing your smile.. I still see it every now and then, but it's not directed at me and it just hurts. I miss our silly disagreements and how we'd drag them on for what felt like ages. I miss driving you home because even though they were silent drives I felt safe and comfortable with you there. It didn't have to be loud like when I drove around with my other friends. I miss the little dates we went on, and ye-yes you'll never hear me say it again but they were all dates. I miss that day at the mall.. before everything went down. Do you remember?" He asks.
You nod again. This time it's smaller and more subtle.
"Y'know.. That's the day I started realizing I liked you." He admits.
Closing your eyes you whisper, "Stop talking."
But he doesn't listen. He just continues.
"You were playing some dumb game.. I don't remember if it was a claw machine or ski ball but it was something.. You were so focused. You even stuck your tongue out a little.. you got so into it."
"Stop talking." You say again, louder this time.
"You looked so pretty.." He sighs. "And you were so excited when we raised enough tickets to get a bag of candy for ourselves. They kicked us out because we sat on the air hockey table, remember? I don't know if they'll ever let us back in there, but it was fun while it lasted." He laughs.
"I said stop talking!" You practically yell, turning to face towards him.
"Why?" He asks, giving you a sad look.
"Because I don't want to remember that day." You sigh.
"Why?" He asks again.
"I don't wanna say why."
He takes a step closer to you. "You can tell me anything."
You sigh in defeat.
"Did you feel it too?" You ask him and he nods.
"So you know?"
"I do."
"Then why do I have to say it?" You ask.
"Because if you say it, then it's like you're accepting the truth."
"I don't like how you know what I feel." You mumble to yourself as he takes another step closer.
"What if I don't.. say it?" You ask.
"Then just give me a sign." He says.
"Do you miss me?" He asks. By this point the sun has gone done, and if weren't only you two here you probably wouldn't have heard him.
You nod. "I do."
"Are you mad at me?" He asks.
You nod again. "I am."
"That's okay." He says. "I understand."
This time, you take a step back.
"Do you wanna be mad at me?"
Instead of responding this time, you ask, "Why do you get to ask all of the questions?"
"I never said you couldn't ask any." He says while you shoot him a glare.
"Okay then." You start, deciding you were going to play this little game with him. Taking a step forward you ask, "Why did you choose me?"
He shrugs. "I dunno. You were new."
You scoff at his response. "Predictable."
Thinking of a better question to ask him, you say, "How can I believe you?"
"You can't." He responds. "You just have to trust me. Do you trust me?"
"I do."
He nods.
"Okay."
"Do you trust me?" You ask him, breaking the pattern you two have created.
"I do." He says, echoing your answer.
You nod.
"Okay."
"So.. What now?" He asks.
"What do you mean?"
"What do we do now?"
"Ah." You sigh. "That's what you meant."
"Well.. Yeah." He says. "I don't know if you know this but.. this is the closet we've been ever since.. what happened. Yet it's still the furthest we are from each other."
"Can you just shut up, for once?" You ask, voice playful in tone.
Jisung hears it and he gives you a small smile, liking the sudden change in atmosphere. "I dunno.. Will I?" He jokes.
"You're silly." You say, while a smile starts to form shortly after.
"..Can we start over?" He asks, and you can tell he's being serious.
He looks scared. Nothing like the same boy who you saw just a second ago, the one who was starting to be comfortable with you again.
"I'd understand if you didn't want to. Or if you don't want anything to do with me anymore after this. I just thought.. it'd be the right thing to ask."
"Do you promise not to break my heart?" You ask.
"Only if you promise not to break mine." He responds with a smile.
"No promises." You say, grabbing his hand and interlocking it with yours.
"Hey!" He exclaims. "You can't do that!"
"Yes I can. I just did."
"I'll take this as a yes then?" He asks, a giggle following afterwards.
"Yeah. You can take this as a yes."

[did i change your mind?]
aoba johsai. iwaizumi hajime x reader
g. kinda confusing fluff but fluff nonetheless
tw. hajime is shooketh wc. 1.6k
If there was one thing you and Hajime never got along with, it would definitely be the topic of why one gets into a relationship.
'If you like them—go ahead' was your thinking while as for Hajime— 'only if you like them enough to want to settle'. Maybe this was the whole reason why you two weren’t as close as two childhood friends should be.
But when that third childhood friend, Tooru, suddenly asks you to fill in for him as Hajime’s plus one to a wedding, well things get kinda messy.
And it all started when you asked him one thing, just as the bride and groom exchanges their vows and shares a kiss—
“But isn’t it the heartbreaks that make true love oh so much sweeter in the end?”
"Hah? What the heck are you talking about in the middle of the wedding?" Your brows furrow at the fact that Hajime seems to have already forgotten what you two were debating about earlier.
"You said 'why do people even get into relationships when they have no plans on settling'." He finally at least slightly looks in your direction. Maybe it was the fact that you were borderline whisper-shouting by now?
"Okay and?" You sigh, really you could never hold a proper conversation with this boy.
"And that's my reply— it's the heartbreaks that make the end game so much better isn't it? Kinda like gaining experience in a game so that the reward is so much better in the end." At the sound of the guests clapping along to congratulate the newly wedded couple, you two stand up as well, you never tearing your gaze from the boy though.
"I can't believe you're comparing it to a game." Jokes on him, he was the one that didn't even like saying the word love, pretty immature for someone that was so adamant against getting into casual relationships.
"How else would I get it into that thick brain of yours then? I would have thought of a volleyball phrase if I had more time." Finally, you look towards the groom and bride, clapping along with the rest of the guests as a smile adorns your face.
You said what you felt you needed to say, so maybe that's why you hadn't noticed how the spiky-haired boy was staring at you in awe— thinking deep about what you had said.
"Oi, Shittykawa, why do you get into a relationship?" Said boy's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he stared at his best friend. Was he seriously asking him that? In the middle of a water break at practice?
"Eh? Are you and Y/N-chan in one of those little debates again?" Bullseye but not quite. Hajime actually hadn't noticed how he asked Oikawa that question.
The only thought in his mind was how he saw you earlier that day, it had been already a week after the wedding, yet your words still stuck in the back of his head — brought forward as he saw you walking around school— clinging to a boy he's never seen's left arm as well.
He didn't want to admit it but for the first time in how many years, you were slowly driving him crazy. He found himself wanting to know everything that was on your mind, every nook and every cranny.
"Oh! Y/N-chan, what brings you here?" Oikawa's booming voice echoes against the gym floors— effectively snapping Hajime out of his thoughts at the mention of your name.
"Hey, Tooru! I'm here to ask you about our one english project—" Sending a small wave to Hajime, he couldn't help but just stare at the way your eyes crinkled as you smile.
"—did I change your mind?" Wait, were you talking to him now? His eyes almost bulge as he racks his brain for an answer to your vague question. Did he change his mind about why people should get into relationships?
"—I told you I could do your part for the project if you promise to give me that milk bread recipe your mom always makes, so let me know if you’ll do it, Tooru."
Oh, but what a fool he was.
Noticing how your gaze was back at the captain's, Hajime's face turns a gushing red at how worked up he got by himself from assuming you were talking to him.
It wasn't until he heard your laughter at something the captain said did Hajime burst out his seat on the bench to march towards the locker room and wash his face to drown his senses.
"Oh and I accidentally made extra onigiris for you and Haji—" The bang of the locker room's doors were what made you aware of your other friend's sudden outburst.
"What was that?" Oikawa just shrugs. "He's been moody all day." But then as if a lightbulb went off his head, Oikawa then suddenly starts pushing you towards the locker room, a big smile on his face. You came to learn that that was never good news.
"Maybe he's just hungry, Y/N-chan! You should give him those onigiris and he'll probably feel better." You knew for sure that Hajime wasn't the type to lash out because of hunger, but before you could even argue back at your troublesome friend, you had already been shoved into the empty locker room, the door clicking locked behind you.
"I'm gonna murder Tooru, I swear." Deciding if you should just stay by the door until someone eventually opens it, you were finally greeted by the only other person in the room— half naked nonetheless.
You could only stare as he gazes at your form hunched by the door. After blinking for a few moments and seeing your cheeks turn a red hue, Hajime finally shuffles to wear a shirt, leaving you a blushing mess.
"Did Shittykawa shove you in here?" His voice was a bit gruffly but soft nonetheless, finally easing some of your nerves down.
"Uh.. yeah. He said that you might've been in a bad mood cause you were... hungry." How you made it sound more stupid than Oikawa himself, you didn't know.
But at least it didn't seem to offend or bother Hajime, instead he stared at your face with that pensive look in his eyes as if a million and one thoughts were all scrambling in his brain.
And they were.
As he sees you stand there in front of him, a small bento in hand, Hajime couldn't escape the thoughts that plagued him since that day of the wedding.
"Dating someone just because you like them..." His voice came out a whisper you almost couldn't tell if you heard him right. Was he... thinking about what you said at the wedding? That's impossible, right?
"Uhh.. I accidentally made extra onigiris and brought some for you and Tooru." He only stares at your outstretched arms, waiting for him to take the small bento from your grasp.
"Um but actually you can have them all. That stupid Tooru and his crazy ideas shouldn't get any—"
"I wanna try it." Thank god, you thought you were going to have to ramble off for the tension to ease.
"Oh, they're just normal onigiris, here—"
"I wanna try dating someone just because I like them."
Oh shit, he wasn't talking about the onigiris.
Wait... so is he saying he likes someone at the moment? And that he wanted to try dating them?
"Um, well good luck at that I guess then." You start to scratch the back of your neck awkwardly, earning a look of confusion from Hajime.
Did he want you to teach him or something? Did your childhood friend and one-sided crush of how many years really want you to teach him how to date someone else?
"You asked me if I changed my mind and that's your only reply?" Okay, now he was really getting confusing. It didn't help that he was starting to walk your way now, the doors were still locked, you couldn't exactly escape.
"When did I—" Then it dawns on you. Is that seriously why this airhead stormed out while you were talking to Tooru earlier?
"I was talking to Tooru, Hajime."
"I know, but I couldn't help but think you were actually asking me too." By now, he had you trapped at a corner right by the door, your heart was beating at your chest. When did that start happening?
From this far you could actually smell the musk of his cologne, his eyes looked sharper than they were, and for a split second you were sure he was going to ravage you. Until—
"I wanna try it too— the heartbreak."
"Pfft." It catches him off guard how your once trembling expression suddenly easily turns into that of amusement. Your laugh lightly echoes across the room and he couldn't help but blush at your small giggles seemingly mocking him.
"That's not exactly the best way to ask someone out, Haji." Still wiping the tears off your face, his blush deepens as you shake your head.
"But for you, is it okay?"
You would be lying if you said you expected that, but at this point anything was possible and hearing your childhood friend, your longtime one-sided crush, the boy that refused to go into a relationship unless it was to settle— hearing him ask you out so timidly was a whole new sensation in itself.
A sensation you would be damned if you missed.
"Hmm, no, I actually take that back, Haji." His eyes widen as you loop your arms around his neck, pulling him closer despite his confusion. Yeah, you definitely couldn’t miss out on this.
"Let's scratch off that part I said about the heartbreak, Haji. Let's go straight to the ‘oh so much sweeter’ part instead."

“Um… What are you doing?” “Melting. I am a starfish Popsicle.” “….uhh…okay?” This is my favorite part of your "Family Secrets" fic! It's very much something that I would have done with friends or family if I were in a similar situation, and it cracked me up!! I hope you're doing well! (I would follow you on ao3 if i had an account. since I do not, following you on tumblr will have to suffice) [I also can't seem to add paragraph breaks so I'm sorry this ask looks so messy]
Ha ha, glad to hear you are enjoying the fic! C: That scene was pretty fun to write as it was just such a silly adorable kid thing to do, I feel like I might’ve done something similar as well as a child xD
I’ve actually also drawn that starfish popsicle scene, I think I linked it somewhere in the author’s notes in the following chapters(?) I typically link anything I draw that relates to the fic in question. (You could add the images to the fics themselves, but from my understanding they might not show up for everybody for whatever technical reasons or something, idk, so I’ve chosen not to bother with it)
And don’t worry, it’s not messy at all; I understood the text just fine!
Also, you can actually leave comments in fics even without having an account on AO3 btw! One of my friend does that as she doesn’t have an account either so she just leaves comments as a guest xD
Hope you’ll enjoy the fic all the way to the end, and the second and third part of the series too (if you choose to read them of course, up to you!) I’m nearly done with the second story and will begin the final one soon. You could also check out my other works sometime if you want to, in case you haven’t/this is your first fic of mine you’ve read. C:
If you enjoy Family Secrets, I’d say you might maybe also like Crossroads, Unravel or Reanimate at least, as they have similar elements with Izuku and Tenko/Tomura brotherly bonding, family/found family dynamics and so. (Also Crossroads verse has a crossover story with FS that’s canon to both worlds soo....I guess I have to recommend that one by default lmao)
But all that is up to you of course! Just figured I could mention the ones I think you could enjoy too, based on FS. (if you’re a newer reader and like my writing enough to check out other stuff I got, IDK, if you’re already familiar with my other stories, forget I said anything lmao.)
