I am once again obsessing over the symbolism of Carlos in the graveyard taking off The Hat to kiss TK. Like, he is literally walking away from his father’s grave, noticing that The Hat is in the way, and removing it to be able to reach his husband.

Okay, I made this into a joke about hating the hat and you came in here with some beautiful analogy and symbolism!

So is the hat representing Carlos' work with the rangers? and taking it off is portraying the realization that he needs to take the hat off and set work aside in order to connect with his husband both physically and emotionally? and all that is being shown as he's walking away from Gabriel's headstone after solving The Case?
