I love how the one time Hector questions her she literally responds with "Because I say so"
Same energy as Mephiles that one time Silver questioned him and he went "lol what does it matter to you?"

Show: Carmilla and Lenore are masters manipulators!
Carmilla: stalks Hector from the shadows while harassing him, calls Dracula's late wife a pet in a disdainful tone, literally says "because I wish it!", suddenly reveals that she never respected Hector because men bad, beats the shit out of him for shit and giggles <- Hector was literally doing everything she wanted him too because he actually agreed with her points
Lenore: beats the shit out of Hector way past the level of self-defense just to prove that she's stronk (her entire character revolves around the power of words over brute might), constantly reminds him that anything good she does for him is for the sake of "diplomacy" and thus nothing personal, suddenly changes her rhetoric from "please trust us, Carmilla is not as bad as Dracula I swear :(" to "actually I don't trust my sisters anymore, how about we run together? here have a pussy as a treat" <- Hector was already comfortable around her and he was already aware that Dracula had lied to him
(the other fun part about Lenore is that Hector literally, first thing, guessed as soon as he saw her that she was playing nice to manipulate him. He knew. He literally knew. And yet.)
like. I know that I've said that N!Hector is not stupid, he's just treated as such by a spiteful narrative. but holy shit these two are so bad at their job that i can't sympathize with anyone here
#anti netflixvania#alright sometimes lenore *is* good at her job#the way she justifies carmilla is honestly chilling#but it's not enough#'oh but carmilla is flawed because trauma!' yeah well she's not entertaining sorry i hate the way she talks
