#this whole mess shows blake lively was not 'largely beloved'#i've seen a lot of people in the pr field talking about how this is tanking the rep of the field#and it is but#the thing is...his pr people were (evil) geniuses (again)#they used a playbook they knew worked on someone who already had an iffy online reputation#(i say that as someone who dips in and out of some of the bitchiest gossip forums online - blake was not liked before all of this)#they couldn't go after blake with a straight attack because of her connections#but they were paying attention to online chatter and gossip and just fed and shaped it#she was planting stories about him in people during the press tour that directly went for his reputation as a 'male feminist'#('male feminist' should have been the first red flag guys!)#but it didn't stick#lively is suing because she was losing the pr battle#and is using the lawsuit for her own pr purposes#this is going to be studied in comms classes for years to come#because it also shows where her team fucked up during the initial press run#and what pisses me off about this is that the sexual harassment complaint is getting lost in all of this#THAT is what people should be focusing on#blake lively#justin baldoni (via @weatherall )

The Justin Baldoni stuff is insane bc Blake was a super famous and largely beloved actress married to one of the most famous men in the world and this C list dipshit actor mostly known for his work as a love interest on a fucking CW show was able to completely tank her reputation
