I realized after getting this number that I legit didn't know HOW I could respond so. Imagine a dark academia style, only that you have an incredibly low budget and you were not invited to a certain magic school.

Keep in mind before we start, I DON'T NORMALLY DO TYPICAL SHIPPING I prefer to self-ship (/ reader insert content) with the characters (which mind you, the characters I will talk about, I adore them to death) It just never was my cup of tea (though I respect it, this is the closest I felt to the joy that people talk about when they have their ships).

Mika Kagehira x Azul Ashengrotto from Twisted Wonderland 🤡 (ship name: mikazul)

The ship that my brain made that was like yeah, I can't simp for Mika anymore.

I MADE A WHOLE AU FOR THIS TOO, a year and months I've made this ship and I even celebrated the 1 year anniversary when I made the damn thing. I have made MULTIPLE fics about them that have never seen the light of day and part of me wants to post it online.

(IM GONNA TRY TO AVOID AS MANY SPOILERS AS I CAN OF TWISTED WONDERLAND ITSELF WRITING HERE)

Imagine this au, childhood friends, gotten separated and then one day reuniting......................

They meet as kids on the beach and eventually become friends kinda thing, they meet each other a lot and stuff on the beach, they are both insecure in ways that they kinda support each other.

THEY WANT TO PROTECT AND SUPPORT EACHOTHER BASICALLY.

One day Mika just kinda. poofs. disappears. which is the whole disappearance arc thing ETC ETC. AND AZUL IS LIKE WHAT and well

Maybe the friendship was a lie? Anger had come over Azul... he thought about it thoroughly until he realized. No, Mika would never. Mika, his only friend, he wouldn't do that..? So many confusing emotions would go through Azul, was it a sort of betrayal he felt? Or perhaps worry for his friend who had mysteriously disappeared. Now it was fear, what happened? Wait... that's right... he was learning magic. He could find a searching spell or... Azul quickly shook his head, he didn't know where Mika went and for all he knew, he could have just been taken somewhere else. Somewhere foreign. Somewhere unknown. What if he wasn't safe? The knowing feeling of fear ran through his body, he was but a child, after all, he couldn't do anything. That is why Azul started to study more on magic, he would never leave his home to stop, he needed to find the perfect spell, the right spell, to find the answer and... To find Mika again.

So some years later, (If you haven't played Twisted Wonderland, just know Azul is like..... a successful erm... business owner of a lounge...) Azul still thinks of Mika sometimes, thinking, what happened to Mika cause well, in this au he kinda goes on this mission of trying to find Mika.

But couldn't find him.

Eventually, thanks to the Leech Twins (Floyd and Jade), he did find Mika, but not in the way he thought.

Rather, the twins just kinda found an ad for Valkyrie and went, doesn't that look like Mika?

So they kinda just, grabbed Azul and went, we are going to a concert and you are coming with us. AZUL IS LIKE ????????????????????????? NO???????????????????

So they go to the concert.

WHEN THEY GOT THERE, they watched the concert (I know amazing). Azul watched attentively at the concert.

They might have been two, but Azul could only concentrate on the “puppet”. This puppet looked exactly like Mika. They had the mismatched eyes that Azul loved so much, the messy hair that Mika never bothered fixing. If this wasn’t Mika, then it sure did look like an older version of him.

It made Azul sick. To be reminded of Mika at such a time. Before Azul could think about it further, Valkyrie's turn has finished.

Azul just kinda like, walks away. Casually. But Mika had noticed him before and went on to stop him before he could leave.

But then realized they were in the middle of a crowd and just kinda... dragged Azul away... casually...

They talked a bit, turns out they were what each other thought they were. There was a sob fest (mostly on Mika's side). You know the usual.

And that is the main plot of the ship!

There are other, you know, spin-offs but this is the main story.

I TRIED TO NOT MAKE IT SUPER LONG SO I SHORTENED QUITE A BIT BUT I hope anyone who made it this far, that you are happy with this newfound knowledge. CURSED knowledge.
