some thoughts regarding moon remnants and arlecchino...

i already talked about this before if you can remember but the weapon description of mitternachts waltz and moonpiercer are connected. when you combine the stories, it says two of the moons were shredded by a sword and that the resulting debris eventually fell down to earth. this "moondust" fell into the eyes of children and was inhaled by them, forming a moon-like pearl in their hearts.

i then had the thought that this might be how visions are obtained... and suggested (more as a joke) that the ashes arlecchino and/or the tunnel children in perinheri had to "crawl" through were actually the remains of the crimson moon and that's how they got their freaky balemoon bloodfire.

fast forward to natlan and och-kan implied something did fall from the moons!

...though it's unclear what that something is exactly. we also caught a glimpse of a destroyed moon that's visible behind the fake sky. according to mavuika, these fragments are called "ancient moon remnants".

seems deliberate, no? it seems they worshipped the crimson moon's corpse and maybe some of that "debris" had fallen down in khaenri'ah which was used to transmute the blood of the crimson moon clan. ...let's hope arlecchino inherited this naturally from her ancestors without any involvement from dottore ex machina 😮‍💨
