Remus hadn’t meant to come home so late.

It was genuinely out of his control that he was showing up at the common room four hours later than usual

But it had happened before, so they had talked about all of this before. as much as y/n suggested staying up and waiting until they were all there before they went to bed, Sirius shut it down pretty quickly, saying that that idea could spiral out of control into y/n staying up until two in the morning waiting for one of them when they were both upstairs in her dorm waiting for her.

(it had happened before, they didn’t want it to happen again)

When Remus walked into the common room, he was glad to hear no signs of life, no lights on, even the fire was slowly dying out. But as he walked in further, he caught sight of his two lovers laid out across the sofa, asleep.

They hadn’t stayed up for him but they had tried to.

He set his bag down on the floor, carefully as to not wake either of them and he approached their sleeping forms with a soft smile on his lips.

He decided to try and not wake either of you, so he shrugged his robes off, put his shoes down by his bag and sat at the small vacant end of the couch where their were.

Sirius had put his legs over the end of arm of the sofa so he wasn’t taking up the whole thing, and y/n had her head rested against his chest with her legs curled up under the slight bend of sirius’.

To say remus wished he had a camera was an understatement.

he sat down on the sofa and lifted his hand to brush back some stray hair from both of their faces, just the sight of them looking so peaceful was calming him to a point of sleep.

Resting his head back against the sofa, he rested his hand on top of sirius’ which was around your shoulders and let himself drift off.

Not before getting a soft squeeze from his boyfriend.

Days in the glade didn’t get any better the longer the stay. It had been miserable day after miserable day, and as the sun set over the walls that kept them safe, y/n went in search of newt to maybe make this day not miserable.

She couldn’t find him. So she waited in her hammock until she saw the bonfire lighting up across the glade. She knew without a doubt that newt would be there, so she stood from her hammock and headed over, putting on a smile for anyone who saw her face.

When she finally located the blonde boy sat down in front of the fire, everything else became blurry.

She sat down beside him with a soft sigh and instead of saying anything, she laid down on the grass beneath them and rested her head down on his lap.

It wasn’t odd for them to be seen doing something like this, there had been countless times where Alby had found them at the top of the tower at night with either of their head on the others shoulder and their fingers laced together in one of their laps.

“ everything okay, love ? “ he asked as he lifted one of his hands to rest in her hair, brushing back some strands that had gotten in her eyes in her efforts to comfortably lay down.

“ yeah, everything’s just getting a little tedious “ she muttered under her breath, fiddling with her tshirt as she looked up at him.

“ I wish I could do something..”

“ it’s fine, just keep doing that” she said and her eyes fell shut as his fingers pushed through her locks.

Even if she was falling asleep, he didn’t stop moving his calloused fingers through her hair.

The looks they got were no different than usual

After getting out of class early, y/n was sat on the sofa in the slytherin common room, waiting for her friends and her boyfriend to get done with their classes so she wouldn’t have to sit in the eerie silence much longer. Thankfully, only a hakf an hour after she had sat down, she heard someone outside the door and lifted her eyes from the book she had been glancing over. A smile spread across her lips when she caught the head of blonde hair that she loved so much.

When he caught her eye, a smile fell onto his lips aswell.

y/n stood from the couch and walked over to him, happy after not having seen him all day because of their different classes. She wrapped her arms around his middle, resting her head on his chest for a minute before he lifted his hand to tilt her head back.

“ hi, love “ he spoke with a soft smirk on his lips. He leant forwards to press a kiss onto her forehead and when he pulled back he was unable to see her eyes.

“ draco, I just cleaned these!” she groaned softly as she took them off her face, pulling her sleeve over her hand to clear them, but all her boyfriend was able to do was laugh
