My backstory: I'm a Cybertronian who, after creation, developed an interest in fauna of all kinds - including both Cybertron and alien fauna. I begin a program of study in biology, eventually graduating and beginning work under a scientist as an intern of sorts.

How we meet: I am assigned to work as an intern under Shockwave, serving as an assistant to him. This mostly starts off with me taking notes for him and providing help with experiments as needed, but eventually, I become his lab partner and we work equally on experiments.

First impressions: We're both neutral toward one another when we first meet. Neither of us is very conversational, so most of our time together when it comes to speaking stems from our lab work rather than personal lives. Shockwave especially can come across as cold when he does not know someone well (or does not respect them).

Getting closer: As I progress in my training and eventually become Shockwave's lab partner, we form an actual friendship. Shockwave, while still not a conversational bot, warms up to me, and we start conversating during our working hours. Eventually, I end up inviting him out for the evening, and we start going out around once a week to relax and catch up.

I had already found Shockwave physically attractive and developed a crush on him but kept it to myself for the sake of our professional relationship. However, Shockwave surprises me one evening when he admits that he has developed romantic feelings for me - something that he was not at all experienced with.

Beginning our relationship: I am taken aback by this confession but confirm that I feel the same way toward him. Though we prefer to keep our relationship strictly professional, I end up moving into my own lab eventually as our scientific interests diverge. Shortly after, I begin courting Shockwave, and we become Conjunx soon after.

Canon introduction: I stick closely with Shockwave as time passes and eventually end up joining him as a Decepticon - though I don't fully agree with Megatron and his methods, I wish to follow Shockwave wherever he may go. I primarily work as a lab partner to Shockwave, doing some research of my own on the side as well. I stay behind with Shockwave on Cybertron, using a spaceship to start exploring other planets to document their fauna. When Shockwave is injured after Cliffjumper and Arcee destroy his laboratory, I help him repair his wounds and stay at the lab to assist him as he heals. Once he meets Knock Out, Shockwave comes back for me on Cybertron, noting that I am a necessary asset as his laboratory assistant.

Favorite forms of affection: Very subtle forms of affection in front of others are our favorites - gently brushing our fingers or touching the other's back are favorites. In private, we will gently touch our heads together as a "kiss" (since neither of us have proper mouths). Shockwave also enjoys having his ear fins stroked gently (though always in private).

Favorite kind of date: Spending time out of the laboratory is how we like to bond. On Cybertron, we would go to a bar and find our own corner to sit in and talk. After making our way to Earth, we like to go for drives/walks together and enjoy the scenery.

I took this screenshot while rewatching Transformers: Prime. I really like his hands... the way he's so powerful but holds things so gently is neat to me.

7. What aesthetics do you associate with your f/o? Do you have a moodboard you can show us?

I associate science aesthetics with him, especially when it's experiments. I also associate the color purple and space with him. I have a Pinterest board for his moodboard so here's a few pictures that remind me of him.

Thank you ^^ I'll talk about Shockwave since he's been on my mind lately.

So Shockwave in The Transformers was voiced by Corey Burton. Corey Burton also voiced Shockwave in Transformers: Animated. Something else I learned recently was that Shockwave's voice actor for Transformers: Prime also voiced Rhinox in Rise of the Beasts which I thought was neat.

uhhh what else... less of a fact and more just an observation, but his body language is quite exaggerated during certain scenes in Transformers: Prime. I believe this is to make up for his lack of facial expressions - the characters will often show emotion via their facial expressions and body language whereas Shockwave has no proper face, so all of his emotional language comes from his body language.

My favorite Shockwave variations overall are Prime and Animated. I love his character + design a lot for both of those shows. Design wise exclusively, I really like his The Transformers and Earthspark appearances.

I've reblogged a post before about his spine and I still think it's one of my favorite design aspects of him. The fact that his tank treads are the cord to his weapon + spine is really cool to me. I love the glowing purple pattern on them as well!

(also love the fact that he just pushes his way past starscream. absolutely no care about him.)

i think something i admire most about shockwave is his levelheadedness. even in the most stressful of situations, he thinks with logic rather than emotions and as someone who tends to shut down in stressful situations, i appreciate him for that! it balances us out nicely.

i just adore his passion for science. after the events of prime, while he finds himself in a dip because of not really having projects to work on anymore, but being able to put his passion for science into projects to help with advancing cybertron was cool to watch. i enjoy assisting him on his own projects and receiving his help for my own studies on earth's wildlife.

i love my buff nerdy scientist husband.

rewatching transformers: prime completely expecting for knock out to become an f/o again and then THIS BASTARD BLINDSIDES ME

i'm not even halfway through season one... i happened to look up something related to tf:p and got a glimpse of him. why is he built like a BRICK WALL. he's also super intelligent. i cant make a coherent thought about him. help

I've really been enjoying season 2 so far, definitely better than season 1. I've been so happy to see Shockwave more and I love how petty he and Soundwave have been toward one another, haha. It's amusing to watch.

Been thinking about Shockwave, after arriving at Darkmount, coming back for me on Cybertron. When others inquire about my role in his lab, he states simply that I am his lab partner.

Some time after I get more comfortable interacting with the other Deceptions, Knock Out begins to notice the gestures between Shockwave and I - gentle hand touches here and there, a hand on the back as a "thank you" or "excellent work", me gently leaning against him when there are no eyes on us, etc - and decides he wants to play matchmaker...

So he approaches me and states that he sees the chemistry between Shockwave and I - we've been close for so long, perhaps there is romantic tension between us?... only to get shut down (and slightly embarrassed) when I inform him that, in fact, Shockwave and I have been Conjunx for quite a long time. Though I do certainly appreciate the thought.

Idk I just think it's cute. :)

I'm trying to develop the relationship between Shockwave and I, thinking about us as partners in science, working on a project together, and then my brain threw out "What if you died and Shockwave destroyed the project you two had been working on in a fit of rage/grief" and now I'm sad
