the interesting part isn’t that some male shark species have claspers, but that they don’t look like genitalia at all. they look like a part of their lower fins which i’ve always found fascinating. anyways, we love a good shark fact.

it all feels like a bad metaphor turned around on its head. instead of being the apex predator a shark usually is, they feel like a minuscule minnow. “o-of-of course,” they reply to make themselves feel better. but this feeling of fear for what another could do to them is all to familiar from the feeling they’ve felt i the beginning years of their life. the fear of another person, being, having complete and utter control over you. even though their soul belongs to an overlord, if she truly is the root of all evil, they don’t doubt that rules do not apply to her. “i um- i uh-“ they scramble feeling the uncomfortable eyes looking at them. feeling like a audience upon them. “i should- should really get back to work.” snapper says, swallowing the lump in their throat as they struggle to breathe. if they’re not careful they may as well already be in the middle of an anxiety attack.

most people don’t like sharks because of their “statistic” to attack them in open water. but in actuality, humans are more likely to die from a cow attack than a shark attack. and, sharks are far less likely to attack you than a dolphin. in fact, dolphins are more of a menace than sharks are. sharks are like the puppies of the ocean. plus i have to agree with the boss man, they are absolutely majestic apex predators. 💙
