My au!Raphael Tmnt :

A short presentation of my AU turtles. Minors do not read, this turtle are not angels.

🥊 After Donnie, it's Raphael.

🥊 Splinter thought Raphael was worthy of being a leader (after Donnie sent him packing). So he trained him to be a resourceful and compassionate leader. Splinter soon found that Raphael excelled in ninjutsu (Leo is right behind him), so he set the bar very high for safe is another brother. Like a good father, Splinter encouraged, helped and fostered him, which gave him exacerbating mental strength and confidence. But a few years later, Raphael discovered pure, unadulterated strength, real physical strength, the kind that breaks bones. Donnie was his punching bag for many years behind Splinter's eyes (can you see why Donatello is the king of assholes now?). Leo said so.

🥊 You see Tai-Lung saying to Shifu in kung-fu panda ; “who filled my head with dreams, who pushed me to train until my bones cracked, who denied me my destiny?”. Well, that's Raphael after Splinter gives Leo the leadership.

🥊 In reality, Leo and Raph is born from the same mother turtle. Whereas the other two have a different mother.

🥊 There were some complications in his birth, whereas his brother had no problems at all. But since they were born in laboratories, Splinter (before they became Splinter) has to keep an eye on it.

🥊 Raphaël was the one who almost died, but to solve this problem scientists increased his dose of mutagen.

🥊 So he has the same build as Leo. But with more muscle mass and a bit taller. But he's shorter than Donatello.

🥊 If he's second, it's because according to Splinter he's the first to come out of its egg. In fact, it was they who first brought him out.

🥊 Moreover, on his skin and carapace you can see some strange traces, which are linked to the scientific test to bring him back to ‘life’ (can I say that? Or does it have another name?).

🥊 He's still the stubborn watchdog, with a gruff, grumpy tongue, sarcasm and a very black sense of humour. But you can feel his self-confidence, and his real compassion for humans, mutants and animals. He's not afraid to care for his brothers (in his own way...), or to show those feelings. He just wants to preserve a little of the myth of the cold-hearted tortoise. A bit like rise!Raph

🥊 But those marks on his body are the only thing that makes him insecure and even angrier at Shredder. Once when they were little, Mickey asked him where she'd come from. Splinter explained in palpable sadness.

🥊 He likes metal and I think it's canon.

🥊 When working out doesn't help him calm down after a fight with Leo, he meditates on the rooftops.

🥊 He thinks Donatello and Leo are the queens of hypocrites. He prefers Mickey's spontaneity.
