Kai grabs the snake and sets it down. He's not sure who this belongs to, but he doesn't want it on him.

“Now, how many times have I told ya? You ain’t supposed to go down to the beach until after you do the—”

Calliope was seemingly distracted as she walked, wrapped up in some conversation with an individual on the other end of her phone.

“If I have to tell ya this one more time I swear I’ll come over there myself and—”

She let out a slight yelp as she bumped into someone, abruptly stopping her conversation.

“Oh! So sorry ‘bout that, hun…” she said sheepishly. She mumbled a quick, “I’ll call you later” to the person on the end of the phone before hanging up.

“You alright?”

Ovis jumped, turning around quickly. He had been startled by the unknown person, but soon calmed down when he saw the woman. He let out a small sigh of relief.

"Oh, no no! Don't worry. I'm fine. You just gave me a little fright is all," he assured her.

He was wearing a zip up jacket and some plain pants as it was one of the few ways he could walk around in public without being spotted. His horns had also been temporarily dyed a bright green.

"Sorry for standing in your way."

"Boo!" A voice says, accompanied by a shower of pink glitter. A young girl pops into existence in front of Orvis, wearing a mischievous smile on her face. She is accompanied by an almost entirely pink outfit - save for her skirt and boots, which are black. Even her hair is pink.

However, the most pressing thing about her appearance is the fact that she holds a massive spider in her hands, its beady little eyes staring at the pop idol.

He takes a bit of time to register what's in her hands, but by the time he does, he is jumping back fifteen feet in the air.

"Woah woah woah!" Ovis yelled. "I knew I had crazy fans, but that's downright demonic girl! Watch where you're putting that!"

"Baiheng!" Kai shouted, giving the Foxian a hug from behind. "Where have you been?! You missed all the fun stuff! Yingxing's building a death machine! He said I get to fire it first."

The boy sighed, lifting himself off from his place on the ground and pulled his hood back over his head. His lip curling up in distaste as the smell began to get strong, causing the boy to stop in his tracks. He was aware someone was nearby, summoning his greatsword as he continued his trek onward, all senses on edge, preparing for a fight.

"Put that away," Kai warned, looking over his shoulder. "You won't defeat me, even if you wanted to fight me."

He walked out from behind the wall he had chosen to lean against. So much for a relaxing evening.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked.

His expression was lax, tired and dull. Like he had been unable to keep up with the weight of the world.

He beamed as he gratefully took the skewers from Kai, quickly devouring the first one with vigor. ,like a blood devouring disease-,

“ Thank you! For the food and the training, even if was a lot harder than usual.. “

"Only the best for my student," Kai answered through his own skewer. He had to admit, the taste was alright, but it wasn't anything like Shufen's.

"Next time I take you out to eat, you're getting a taste of my sister-in-law's food."

"I would appreciate that, but they're never cancelling enough for the concerts I want to go to."

Kai was a big fan of rock and metal, but they all generally had loud noises.

"I'd love to go see Slipknot live, but I'd just get a headache."

Kai flops down next to Baiheng, sporting a brand new black eye.

"Heh," he laughed. "Guess who just fell down the stairs."

He shoots her finger guns.

Baiheng cross her arms with a upset face.

"You need to be more careful!"

"Just look at what happened to you..."

Baiheng says in a unhappy tone of voice.

The sound of a hurdy gurdy floated through the busy air of the city, mixed in with the sound of a fountain. Sitting in front of the fountain was a quiet short woman with long white hair pulled into a long braid, some hair covering her left eye. On her lap was a crimson colored hurdy gurdy and a silver lindwyrm as long as a arm was laying over her shoulder. “Oh I’ve seen many men wandering, all strong and keen and brave. Seem them grow into rulers, but I long for the stars.” She sings, tapping her foot as she played.

A soldier leaned against the wall, tapping his foot against the ground in tune with her. His eyes were closed under his helmet as he focused on the melody of her voice and the fountain water.

She wasn't violating any laws, and he wasn't needed anywhere soon. So, he opted to stand and listen to her instead, taking in this moment of peace.

"I'm feeling less grumpy," Kai responds, giving into Yanqing's playfulness. He reaches over and ruffles the boy's hair.

"Thank you for checking in on me kid."

He can't help the smile that tugs at his lips. Sure, he felt tired. But what Cloud Knight didn't? It was just how things went.

He was happy that Yanqing was here. That would always remain true.

Kai stared at her from where he stood in the doorway. Usually, people weren't allowed in Scalegorge Waterscape, but Kai made sure to give her an exception for some geological thing she was working on.

"Need a hand?" he asked.

He froze up. "D-did you say swarm?"

Oh no....This was bad. Ovis had a notoriously bad fear of bugs. And now he was performing in an area crawling with them. Very big bugs to be exact.

This day couldn't possibly get worse.

"Madam Herta, I don't think this is necessary," Ovis said, trying to keep up a composure. "We really have no need to be on the space station. You all seem to be doing well without a concert."

He was just trying to get out of doing another tour.

"You help boost morale for the whole lot of them, makes doing my own thing easier. Pretty fair trade I'd say.." Herta voices, peering up at the idol.

"But if it's the pay that's bothering you I'll have Asta handle it or something, name a price and I'll triple it i you want."

"Well, well, well~!" A voice giggled above Ovis, accompanied by the sound of jingling bells.

Jester flipped upside down, a court jester mask covering his face. The little bells on his hat jingled, tilting his head to examine Ovis.

"What have we here...? You're new. I've been gone from Belobog for a while, but I've never seen anyone like you around here."

Ovis blinked a bit at the Jester. He was glad to have worn less assuming clothing when out on the streets. Gone was the blue paint on his horns. Instead, he looked like some random guy.

Well, random for his species.

But this jester dude was starting to unnerve him.

"Yeah...I'm from another planet. Here for a family trip."

"My main concern is that you're in a restricted area," Kai deadpanned. "If you are a heliobus, then I have some choice words with the Ten Lords."

His face turned sour.

"No form of identification usually means you're a stowaway. In which case, protocol is to take you to the Realm Keeping Commision to find your identity."

Dan Feng was rather confused, what was a Cloud Knight doing in Scalegorge Waterscape? Did Jin Yuan send them? Why only one? Dan Feng then finally took notice of some of the Knight's features, they were a Vidyadhara of some kind but what was with the feathers? Is it some sort of sickness? What sort of sicknesses arose when his soul was resting in Scalegorge Waterscape's waters? There was a faint glow in Dan Feng's eyes the color was similar to that of the leaves on the mara stuck
