Hypnovember 2023 Master Post.

This year was my 5th Hypnovember! To be honest, it felt particularly hard-fought since I had a lot of life stuff happening in the background this month. (Nothing traumatic, don't worry.) Still, I managed to write about 10,803 words, record almost 50 minutes of audio, and pay tribute to a lovely friend. I'm likely not doing daily prompts next year but I'm glad I ran this marathon one more time. 5 years is a respectable amount of time to do anything so- I'm proud of myself.

Fun fact: This was NOT a fun story to write, partially because it dug up some of my and my friends' worst experiences. I'm glad it's been helpful for some people who have been in some really bad situations, though- I'm hope I did you all justice. You (and we all) deserve so much more than this.

His father had a toaster in his hands, Plugging it into the wall and looking down at Mark. Mark's eyes widened and he struggled as he tried standing up. He wasn't fast enough as his dad threw it into the bath. Mark felt his heart beating faster as he electrocuted and almost fried completely. He was having a heart attack as he tried to grasp onto anything, In intense pain and unable to see anything but red and black.

"D..da....d.... P......le.a......se......h........e.......lp....."

He felt two hands wrap around his neck, Slowly tightening until he couldn't breathe. He could feel himself being moved under the water. No.. Nono- Please!- He tried to beg but as he opened his mouth water flooded in, Reaching his lungs. He tried to thrash out of the grip but.. Most of him was immobile. His nerves, Veins, Muscles... Fried. Destroyed. He had no choice but to...

Mark Heathcliff found dead in his home. It has been put to rest as a suicide.

Chriz:

He was cuddling with his parents, In between them in pajamas. He couldn't of been more than 3 or 4. He was woken up from the sunlight and got excited, Sneaking away from them and falling off the bed with a light thump. He snuck away from the room and crawled down the stairs quickly- He wanted to play outside with the bugs and animals he could find! The door was locked so he squeezed through the doggy door. He stood himself up, Wobbling as he looked for any worms that came up to breathe. Of course, He didn't know that worms came up after rain to breathe, He just knew that the water outside meant worms were somewhere! Looking around, He finally found one. He liked to tear them into little pieces to make many many worms! His papa showed him before! Being a toddler, He didn't notice a van slowly creeping up to him.. The men came out and he was alerted by the large shadow over him. He sat down and looked up, His mouth open a bit with surprise. The men grabbed him and he shrieked, Starting to cry. He didn't like being picked up. He started to sob real loud and scream as they put him in the van and drew off.. He didn't know who they were. He never saw them before.

He would.. Never see his parents again

Ceasar:

..That couldn't.. Of been right. It.. Wasn't him was it? He didn't kill them. He didn't.. HE DIDNT FUCKING KILL THEM- It wasn't him- He didn't..

The truth repeated in his head over and over. He couldn't feel himself in control anymore, At all. He couldn't see a thing.. Then he was back. Back when he was a teenager. He wanted the humans to pay.. They were his food, Not his friends. He fucking hated humans.. But... He didn't know. He didn't know his family was inside.. Why were they in there? They should have left by then.. The screams, The... Bloodshed. He went inside with a smirk, An evil smile. He wanted to see their suffering, Maybe even eat some of the roasted flesh... But when he walked info the door...

"...S...Sarah?"

His sister. No.. Her tail was blown off of her body, Her organs spilling out. He dropped the detonator, He felt sick.. He couldn't breathe, Tears already spilling out as his throat knotted up. Her intestines were being dragged as her eyes searched for him and their parents.. She couldn't see them, But he could. They were right behind her, All over the wall..

"C....eas...aw...? Hel....p.... whe...wes.....mommy an....d....dad...dy...?"

He broke into sobs and fell to his knees, Holding what remained of his barely breathing sister.. He hadn't even started school yet... This couldn't be fucking happening...

"Was...dis....you..?... w...why.... why would...you huwt me....big bwo....?"

"No- No I'm sorry I didnt- I didn't know! I didn't.. fucking know.. I'm so sorry.."

Her breathing was slow, And.. Getting slower. He could hear her fucking heartbeats slowing down..

"No- Please I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'll fix it dont die- P-Please!"

"..d...do you... weawwy hate me.... so much dat.... you had to..."

She couldn't finish her sentence, Her eyes closing.

Silence.

And that silence... Is all he could ever hear again.

...Only 3 fatalities found. 32 hospitalized and on their way to a full recovery

He felt his dad's arm around him, Reading him a fairy tale quietly as he started to drift off to sleep. He jolted awake when he heard a women open the door, Beginning to speak in a booming loud voice.

"Mr [redacted], The chamber is ready."

Sonikchus father stood and put the book to the side.

"Well squirt,, I'll see you after work.."

He frowned, Knowing that wouldn't be for a few hours. He couldn't sleep without his dad there...

"..Unless"

He perked up, Already excited and happy that there was another option.

"You'd want to come with me? You can even help with this exciting experiment!"

"O-Okay papa!!"

Sonikchu was more of a proper, Quiet child. He was only 6 years old afterall. His father picked him up and began to walk. He had never seen outside of the room before.. The walls, Tiles, Ceiling, Lights.. All white. It was hard on him since he had been in a dark room his whole life. When his eyes adjusted enough he could finally see the things he never could. Cells lined up on the walls, And from the sounds, People were inside. Everyone looked.. Weird. They had things wrong with them.. Sonikchu cowered a little, Shivering in fear and from the freezing temperatures in the halls. In his room he always felt safe, But out here had a different.. Feeling. He was kind of scared.. His father gently patted his back, Waiting for the woman to open a door with some kind of pass code and card. It opened with a loud noise that made Sonikchu hold onto his father tighter, Shaking slightly. Inside the room, There were a few teenagers. Some were barely breathing, Equipment hooked to them. Some were disformed, And some looked mostly fine despite scars and stitches along their bodies. All of them standing tall in a single file lineup. This just scared him more.. Who were they? He was lead closer to a box looking room.. He looked up at his dad, Who was nudging him closer. He went inside just to see that it was.. Huge. What he didn't know was his father and a scientist were going inside too, With a few tools..

He felt someone grab his wrists and push him onto the ground. He felt the stabbing horrible pain as they started to use a dull knife to carve open his back.. He screamed in agony, Begging them to stop. He wore out his voice to where even when he screamed, Nothing came out. Tears stained his fluffy cheeks..

Years went by inside the box, While only a couple days passed outside of it.

Alex’s Christmas Sleepover 2021 [CLOSED]

Heyyyyyy, guys!! I decided to do a little sleepover type thingggg. This will be my first one ever, so I’m really excited for it!!

So, here’s how things will go. Below, I’ll have listed the characters that I’m currently comfortable writing for, as well as different symbols relating to christmas and whatnot. You get to choose if you want a moodboard, story, or both, as well as what character or characters you’d like in it. If you want a story, you get to choose what type of story (smut, angst, fluff, comfort, etc. as well as any combinations) as well as if you’d like a shorter story (Around 500-1,500 words) or a longer story (Around 1,500-3,000). You then get to also add in any of the christmas symbols that I list and voila. I shall create something for you 😌

Ferris had been enjoying a wonderful evening with his boys. It was like something out of a movie, from tickets to a ballet performance to dinner to a walk through a light art exhibit. He expected this sort of thing from Egon from time to time, taking a breather from all of the ghost work to appreciate their non-professional relationship, but Peter... well, his date ideas could range from a nice dinner to making out during a movie. He put in the effort when he felt like it and Ferris had accepted that.

“I’ve never seen you two act like this,” Ferris couldn’t help but comment when they were in the back of a limousine, heading who knows where. “How did we afford all this?”

Peter put a finger on their lips. “Shh. You don’t need to worry about that, babe. Venkman’s—”

“And Spengler,” Egon interrupted with a look. Peter cleared his throat.

“Yes, of course, Venkman and Spengler have got it covered. All you need to do is relax and enjoy the evening. Right?”

“Right.”

Ferris sighed and shook their head, sinking further into the vehicle’s cushy seats. “I hope Ray and Winston don’t miss us too much.”

“Whaat? Psh, they’ll be fine, why’re you bringing them into this??” Peter asked jokingly. Ferris put its hands up defensively.

“Alright, alright, I’ll shut my trap.”

Egon’s hand rested on top of its. “Just until we get where we’re going.” He smiled at it and it smiled back. It was just a bit longer until the limousine came to a stop. Ferris had felt it climbing a hill and gave their boys a questioning look as they got out of the car. They gasped when they looked around. A beautiful lookout point rising over the lights of New York City.

“Isn’t she glorious from here? Our own Big Apple,” Peter announced as they walked toward the railing for the best view.

“Hey, what’re you complimenting her for?” Ferris joked.

“Well, I—”

“New York’s mere glitter can’t compare to your constant shine, Hutch,” Egon complimented smoothly, wrapping his arms around them from behind. Ferris looked up at him from under his chin, surprised.

“That was beautiful, Egon,” He praised breathlessly. He shook his head again. “What’s gotten into you two, did they put something in the water supply at the firehouse this morning??”

“Not in the water supply, my dear, but in our hearts… God that was cheesy,” Peter placed an extra dramatic hand on his chest to emphasise his point. “Ferris, we’ve known you and loved you for some time now… one might say you’re the greatest thing to happen to us. After the fame and fortune of becoming Ghostbusters, of course.” Peter knelt in front of them as Egon’s arms loosened from their middle. Behind them, his expression was one of confusion. “But even then, if you wanted us to give it all up… not that I think you would… I would. I would do it for your happiness in a heartbeat.” He retrieved a small velvet box from his pocket and opened it, presenting a glittering ring. “Ferris Hutch, will you m—”

“Hold on a second,” Egon interrupted, much to Peter’s annoyance. Completely shocked and pink-faced, Ferris turned to face him. Egon knelt… and presented his own ring in embarrassed silence. Now it was Peter’s turn to be shocked.

“You were going to--? Wait, what???”

Ferris covered his mouth. For a second, only the chirping of crickets could be heard. Then Ferris snorted before all of his giggles escaped him at once. “Oh my-- Oh my gosh-- You didn’t-- You didn’t coordinate with each other??? Beforehand???” He gasped between laughs.

“What? No, I had no idea he was also going to propose! I would’ve let him go first!” Peter was still staring at his friend and coworker.

“That’s very generous of you, Venkman,” Egon slowly stood and Peter followed suit. Ferris waved his hands up and down.

“Wait, wait, Egon, what were you going to say? Please, propose to me,” He insisted. Egon’s ears were pink. He shook his head.

“Forget it, the moment’s over.”

Ferris took a few breaths, then held Egon’s free hand, looking up at him with glossy eyes. “Please?”

Egon considered it for a moment. “Only if Venkman gives us some space.”

“I’ll be at the limo if anyone needs me,” Peter quipped as he retreated. Once he was a smart distance away, Egon spoke.

“Hutch, you are… an incredible man. Before you, I wasn’t sure if romantic attachment was something I was capable of feeling. I was content to accept that dating wasn’t in my nature and that I’d be married to my work. But you came along, and something… clicked. These feelings aren’t just some scrawlings of letters, numbers, and lines on a chalkboard to me anymore. They’re as real as my mind can permit them to be.” Egon knelt a second time, opening his ring box once more. “I love you, Hutch. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. The most significant way I can symbolise that is by proposing, so… will you marry me, Ferris?”

“Yes,” Ferris whispered, taking Egon’s face in their hands. They kissed him softly before calling over his shoulder to Peter, “Yes! I’ll marry you both!”

Egon stood and Peter rushed over.

“Hey, that’s great!” Peter clapped his hands enthusiastically and kissed Ferris’ cheek.

“But how??” Egon asked, brow furrowed. “Polygamy isn’t exactly legal here in the States…”

“Well, it doesn’t have to be legally documented… or at least, I don’t care if it is. I’ll call you my husbands anyway.” Ferris happily kissed them both. “Unless one of you wants to have a proper wedding…?”

“We can talk about it more later. Let’s buy some champagne and tell Stantz and Zeddemore the good news!” Peter cheered, leading them back to the limousine. Ferris kept them glued to his sides for the rest of the night.

get outside. a lot of people don't like the approach of autumn because it means they'll be outside less, but autumn is one of the best seasons to go outside because the temperature is comfortable. enjoy a walk in the autumn leaves, somewhere scenic, or just go to a nearby park.
