They're panting heavily after their rampage, she is absolutely covered in blood- none of it her own.

She waits patiently, towel wrapped tightly around her body, a corner of it stretched upwards to cover a gash on her chest, though there was nothing to be done to hide the ones on her thigh and calf.

Lucky shots, really, but not lucky enough to save the one who made them. She'll raid the bathroom cabinets for bandages once she knows what kind of clothes she'll have to wear.

When Cali returns with the clothes she's quick to take them and vanish behind the bathroom door. Examining the pajamas, the strange creature in a teacup on the shirt was the only thing that made her quirk a brow. The bee patterned pajamas seemed like something she would've already figured Cali to have.

She hisses, mostly in frustration that she would have to find replacements for the clothes she ruined. Maybe even new boots, those were going to be expensive.

A few minutes pass before Grimbright emerges from the bathroom. The stretchy pajama bottoms seeming to fit just fine, though they did end around her mid calf. The oversized shirt fitting fine, though the bottom of it bunched up on her hips and above her tail, and it was just a little tight on her torso.

While Grimbright was in the shower, Cali worked on preparing dinner. "...Ok... Let's see.... We got chicken.......noodles.... Do i have any alfredo sauce?"

She was snapped out of it when Grimbright asked her about the clothes and Cali mentally cursed herself and raises her voice so she can be heard. "Uh.... I think so! Give me a second!"

Going through her closet and dresser drawers, Cali was actually able to find some stuff! Although....

"This was all i could find that would fit you. I can throw your dirty clothes in the wash but with how bad they are... It might be better to get some new ones..."

In Cali's hands were a pair of stretchy pajama bottoms covered in bee designs and an overly large purple shirt that would fit past Cali's knees! The shirt had a picture of a weird dog thing with big eyes sitting in a tea cup.

Her hands slips into his and for a moment he can feel his heart stop. Seize at a familiar gesture that had once been quickly followed by pain. Watching his face carefully there's just a hint, a sudden flash of... fear. Fear as brows knit together for a moment and a hint of sharp teeth can be seen between subtly parted lips.

Then just as quickly at it appeared, it was gone. Returned to that hardened expression with just the hint of a playful smirk as he pulls her close, spreads his wings, and whispers,

|| 🖤 ||: ❝ Hang on, Ruby Eye. ❞

With a sudden beat of his wings they're suddenly airborne. Rushing through the air like a bullet, shooting past the treetops, up into the clouds with a velocity that could only be described as dizzying.

Wings spread to slow him down, but the same can't be said for his passenger as he almost throws her into the air above.

For a moment their hands break, separated by air but inches away from each other. The incubus staring up at the vampire, locking his many eyes with her singular one.

Time freezes for a moment. His heart had stopped earlier, but now his lungs had just had the air forced from them. Watching as the light of the sun, unimpeded by the clouds that they'd risen above, shines over snowy hair, porcelain skin, lights up that deep crimson in her eye to a brilliant fiery red.

She was already lovely in his eyes, never that he would admit it aloud. But now, in this moment alone above the clouds, he could see just how ethereal she was.

Time continues, and they both start to fall back towards the earth. Strong arms catching her and holding her close to his chest, wrapping wings around the both of them as they pierce downwards through the clouds. As they tempt gravity's dangerous pull before wings would spread and catch them over the treetops of the forest. He'd hold her more securely than he had during their accent and fly high once more, but at a more steady pace- calmer.

He glances down at her, checking to make sure he hadn't fumbled any part of the showmanship of flying. To see if that smile was still ever present as he shares the sky with someone else.

Something he hadn't done in a long time.

Her smile was becoming a permanent fixture. Jewel simply couldn’t stop it when Grim accepted her wish. And maybe flexing his wings does add to her the gleeful look on her face. Carefully watching as the deamon gloves his claws. 

Ignoring the urge to make a comment. Wanting to know if they were sharp enough to be an issue. But, for now Jewel refrains from toying with Grimbright any further. Wanting to avoid ruining the mood or find out how real that offer of throwing her in thorns was.

She took Grim’s hand.

Even if her ward was still learning about her abilities, still needed training in regards to what her heritage entailed, already she showed promise. Especially if the legend, the prophecy, meant anything.

At his laugh does she simply... sigh. If this demon child wanted to get himself killed then who was she to stop him. So long as she had no hand in his demise. Still, with his assistance helping her ward, he was at least owed the warning. Even if it only spurred on his foolish actions.

Laharl's antennae twitched as his brow furrowed...his hunch was right on the mark, Goat Girl was Daemon royalty of some kind. That would explain why she was familiar with that owl-like daemon before too. "How strange...i didn't sense much power emanating from her body." Then again, most demons hide their power levels until they're in combat so he figured the same must be true for 'daemons'.

At the mention of this so-called 'Duchess', however, Laharl grinned as if he were hoping this Duchess would come looking for a fight.

"AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" There's his signature laugh again. "And what, am I supposed to be afraid of this Duchess? Preposterous! If she comes looking for a fight, i'll crush her like any other Overlord that dares to challenge me. Besides, why do you care? If she's focused on me, she won't notice Goat Girl. I get to kill my boredom, and she avoids the spotlight. Sounds like a win-win scenario to me."
