He speaks with a calmness in his voice, sky blue eyes staring at something no one else can see. ❝ certainty, was always the great enemy of unity. certainty, is the deadly enemy of tolerance. even christ was not certain at the end. dio mio, dio mio. perche mi hai abbandonato? he cried out, in his agony, at the ninth hour on the cross. faith, is a living thing. precisely because it walks hand in hand with doubt. if there was only certainty, no doubt... there'd be no mystery, and therefore, no need for faith. no need... for me. ❞

finally, He looks at the other, and there's a light in his eyes. the warmth of the sun dances in his smile. ❝ the truest believers are the ones who doubt the most, the ones who sin the hardest. i created men after myself, and it took all this time for me to realise, i too, am flawed. men reflects the flaws i tried to snuff out with creation. in the beginning, i wanted worship. blind devotion. i demanded it. i swung down a hard hammer and i punished. but in the end, whether i am present or distant... my creation lives on. life, carries on. men doubt, men believe, and men live. that was all i ever wanted. ❞
